Evelyn: 😊Jina are unstoppable and the best tag team ever! I still find it amazing that apart from Anna (for mandatory sister purposes), Nina only has a tag throw with Jin. This is a woman, who is a loner by nature and the only non blood related character to have a tag throw with her is Jin. How can they not be close?

Yes to the Steve thing. I guess that also would make Raiden (Nina and Jin's son) a future magnet for danger lol….if I ever get round to writing something about their kids. Jin is so sneaky isn't he lol? Did you see that scene where he set Alisa on Lars. Nina couldn't take her eyes off Jin the whole time lol and that smirk they both did together at the same time. I noticed that small moment. She was looking at Jin with approval as if she was thinking, "That's my man!" LOL It's these small moments in the SC mode that just made me ship them a lot. Imo their scenes were the best. I like going back to such scenes to get my on screen Jina fix. Did you know I actually shipped Jina together before T6 days? Not as serious as now but as a kid the idea of them together always intrigued me.

Anyway, thanks for the review!

My goal is to try and update this fic twice or thrice a week now.

If Nina is laughing in this chapter, imagine it sounds like her TTT laughter. I miss it. Sounded like she was happy back then. After finding out what they did to her in cold sleep, it must have taken away her laughter.

According to Harada, Jin Kazama has five Enigma bikes.

For me, Jin's got two black, two red and a silver one. In Canon, Nina picks the red one. Isn't that interesting?

Jin Kazama giving Nina Williams a bike was like giving her a wedding ring.

"You remembered." Nina says softly, her eyes lighting up when she mounted the bike he gave her.

"I never forget a promise made to you." He responds, his voice low as he basks in her positive reaction.

He promised her in Brisbane that she would get a bike from him someday. It felt great to fulfil that promise.

"And here I was thinking you'd forget. Silly me." Nina shakes her head with a smile.

It was such a badass bike, the way it roars to life, the beast of a bike makes her feel even more powerful than she already was. It was very easy on the eyes too. Jin brought one of his dreams to life which lit up Nina's heart.

"After this, no other bike will be good enough for you?" Jin teases after their latest bike race.

She is breathless and he allows her time to catch her breath again.

"You can say that Kazama, I've had many bikes but this…nothing will ever hold a candle to this one."

She sounds so impressed and so sincere. There is joy in her eyes. It touches his heart. After leaving Brisbane, during the fourth and fifth tournaments he had a feeling something drastic snatched her laughter from her. Of course, he learnt the reason why once he took the driver's seat behind the Zaibatsu. Since then, he had been secretly trying to get her laughter back. He knew how it felt to be drowning in pain. He didn't want Nina to drown.

"I've never rode such an impressive bike before. What's your secret?" Nina asks.

"It's called Enigma. If I give it away, someone else may try to steal your heart."

"They can't steal something from me that's already taken." She drawls with a gentle smile before firing up the engine again. Before he could say something back, the blonde speeds off with laughter again. His heartbeats thuds rapidly, he can hear it ricochet in his ears.

She was laughing again!

With a smile, Jin starts his own engine and follows her back onto the highway.

First she was someone he saved, then his close friend, then a love interest, a bodyguard, second in command then a lover and a wife. She is his heart.

The day he lets her pick a bike from the five he already had, it amuses and intrigues him that she picks the red one. So after their race around their city and after they park their bikes in the garage, he has to know why.

"I thought you hated red."

There is a bemused smile on her lips and a small tint of pink on her cheeks. His heartbeats quicken. A smirk spreads over his lips. If she now liked red, he must have become her heart too.

"Is it because of me?" He probes, wanting to hear her say it.

Her eyes meet his. "If I say yes, would that please you?" She teases.

"Very much."

"It's not a bad color." She admits, running her fingers over the engine. "I used to paint my nails red in the first two tournaments."

That was interesting information. However he had something else on his mind to steer this conversation in a direction his heart wanted.

"Tell me something, Miss Williams." He says seductively, his fingers beneath her chin as he gently and lifts her head. "Tell me if I have such an impact on you that you think of me on your days away, you miss me terribly and can't wait to close the distance between us? Tell me that you yearned to see me after we left Brisbane and you haven't seen me for a couple of months? Tell me…,"

It's the most string of words he managed without pausing halfway through to think of what to say next. Jin is pretty impressed with himself. Of course, the idea of her missing him pleases him greatly.

She puts her arms over his shoulders. Nina presses a kiss on his lips.

"I think of you on our days apart. I miss you terribly and cannot wait to close the distance between us. I yearned to see you after we left Brisbane. Those two months we didn't see each other felt unpleasant." She says, impressing him completely. "How did I do?"

Of course, she tries being playful but he knows she meant every word and wasn't merely playing along. He doesn't know how he knows but he just does.

"Wonderful." He utters.

She presses another kiss and then another and another like she suddenly discovered her favorite dessert and hadn't had enough.

Jin moans against her lips, returning the kiss in the same manner.

"My Kazama." Nina mumbles in between their kisses.

One night, Nina approaches him with a small box and a sexy smirk on her lips. A ring? He wasn't expecting it so he held off on ordering one for her, feeling it might have been too mushy for her tastes. He didn't want to embarrass her. The day they married, she mentioned something about a diamond ring but believed she was just joking. But here she was, out of the blue with a ring box in her hand.

She presents him with a ring that has words in another language engraved onto it.

"I didn't know you knew that language." Jin tells her, wondering how those letters should have been pronounced.

"I don't. I took the time to learn something in another language for you..," She confesses, slipping the ring on his finger. "You aren't the only impressive one around here, Kazama."

It was a perfect fit. Of course.

Nina leans close enough for him to feel her heart beats and inhale her fragrance. She whispers the words into his ear.

Mo shíorghra

The way she whispers it felt as if she put her heart and soul into those words. Before Jin could say anything, the feel of her lips on his neck makes him shiver in pleasure.

Later that night, he researches the meaning of those words.

My eternal love.

He sits there stunned at such a beautiful set of words. So simple yet so complex at the same time. It was another word for soulmates. He often wondered if they were soulmates. But now, he was convinced. It meant that their souls which were separated by time and distance finally found each other through the storm and united. He silently prays that they wouldn't be separated any longer. That this war would not take her Jin from her.

Mo shíorghra

He repeats the words until he gets it right.

A week later, she gets her much desired diamond ring. In Katakana, both their names are imprinted inside as one word.

"I take it that we're both on board with accepting this marriage as a real marriage now." Nina says, marvelling at her ring after it's been slipped on her finger.

He pulls her into a hug. "It's been real since a while back."

Nina relaxes into the hug, the word engraved onto her ring coming to mind.

They hold onto each other as it were the most natural thing in the world.
