Evelyn: Thanks! Yeah I found it funny when Jin got half naked- assuming he still had his pants on. I think for plot reasons, Lars was favored over Nina . It would have been so interesting seeing Nina watch over Jin with soft and concerned eyes and then when he wakes up, he beats the shizz out of Heihachi and Nina eats the popcorn.

Just want to point out, "Jina" in Hindi means "to live". I think it's a beautiful meaning that fits Jin and Nina very well. Two survivors who infused life into the other. Ahh, shipping feels. :)

Two lines on the pregnancy sticks.

On all of them.

All of the ones she tried, from different brands show the same result.

She is mildly surprised. Of course there were times she foolishly forgot to take the pills on time because she was so busy and sometimes stressed with work. Plus it was normal for her to have missed periods before, but for only two months. It was now the third month. However, what made her suspect a pregnancy was how tender her breasts began to feel. She never had experienced such a thing before even during her battles. This was something else.

Because of the cold sleep experiments, Nina didn't think she was fertile at all. Looked like her assumption was wrong. Somehow, magically and mysteriously, she conceived.

She isn't angry. Or regretful.

But fearful as well as in awe.

There was life growing inside her. She would be reminded of Jin.

But what if the damned devil wanted to take over the unborn baby? Did it even know it existed? Nina had no idea. She wasn't blessed with Kazama powers and the thought of failing to protect what's hers makes her anxious.

Wait, so that meant she was pregnant during the blast at Violet systems…..her baby…

Her heart begins to beat erratically.

Nina calms herself down, placing a hand above her chest and taking deep breaths.

She is pregnant.

The blonde then accepts it fact.

She was having a baby and had yet to figure out a plan for her future. Jin was alive. She saw him behind the glass and they hadn't been in contact since.

It was a month then. In that month, she waited for him and took up another job after Heihachi was confirmed dead. They had the plan to meet up in their secret bunker at a specific time and date after everything that happened. Of course the plan was made before Jin fell into the pit.

She figures he couldn't call her back because now the Zaibatsu was under Kazuya's control and Jin was probably poor now after losing that money and his resources. But she knew he wasn't that stupid.

So what was taking him so long?

He might have thought she was now dead because she got caught in that untimely blast Chaloan trapped her in. Since that blast, Nina went into hiding and allowed Heihachi to think she was dead. It was the logical thing to do at that point. She couldn't afford to die for real not when Jin had yet to see her again.

If Jin thought she was dead, then she was fucked really. How would they ever see each other again? What if her 'death' was driving him to his? Please none of that Romeo and Juliet shite, she thinks. She hates such good for nothing stories. Their love story cannot be like that.

It had to be better.

But could she go on happily without Jin? Nope she'd turn into a mere survivor again. Jin and she infused life into each other. They taught each other how to live again.

It's not like she wasn't able to sneak into the building as she had done before, it was those booby traps that keeps her at bay. Now being pregnant, she could not afford to sneak into Violet Systems with people who saw her as a hostile enemy. Nina was sure if she knocked on their front door, they would fight her. Jin wasn't out and about so he must be still under their care. She was getting tired of the waiting game and just wanted Jin in front of her.

Once she's back in their room, on the desk, is a box containing both their rings, hers and Jin's, bound by a chain. Neither of them ever wore the rings outside of their private quarters. Jin kept his with her without telling her why. She just knew he believed it would be safe with her. Nina takes the chain and puts it on, the two rings touch her skin. She tucks it beneath her shirt.

A hand goes to her stomach. A pregnancy that wasn't planned but wasn't forced unto her by others either.

A baby fathered by a man she loves.

She caresses her stomach and sighs.

Nina finds herself in Osaka, on her way to the Kazama residence. She didn't know what caused her to seek out the boy who had once been some kind of foster son but here she was. She was nervous to see him again considering their last meeting was bittersweet. Perhaps going there empty handed would be rude. So brought with her a pack of crayons and a an A4 sketchbook yet still felt emptyhanded. Something was missing.

The war hadn't died down completely but Nina knew how to get around places with ease.

Food always brought some comfort so she ate in a small café. She was pickier than usual on what was on the menu. Now she was pregnant, certain foods became less appealing to her. And some foods became more appealing to her like rice dishes. Nina enjoyed those normally but now it increased tenfold. She thought about egg fried rice a lot for the past two months. Oh that little Japanese fluffy rice that tasted too good in the mouth…

Thankfully her willpower is strong and she keeps her new craving under control. She orders noodles instead with some spring rolls on the side.

After food, she comes across a florist. Fresh flowers beckoned her to approach. A little beautiful memory came to her mind.

"You work too hard. Perhaps you should just stop and smell the roses." Jin advised, leaning closer to the rose bush. He inhaled and sighed. Nina wanted to laugh at the scene. Serious Jin Kazama stopping to smell roses was hilarious.

"How can something so little make you so happy?" She questioned.

"Doesn't a cup of tea make you happy?"

Now that he pointed it out to her, she realizes it was true. How Jin knew her so well was heartwarming. He knew it before she did.

She could see how happy he could really be. He could have been unhappy and refused her offer of help which led to a beautiful friendship amongst other things. But he accepted. And here they were.

"We are responsible for our own happiness." Nina said. "Aren't we?"

"That's the point."

She took a sniff of the roses and sighed contently. It was such a pleasent frangrance. She smiled. He was right.

Jin offered his arm to her and she slipped hers in as they walked on.

Nina picks up the bouquet of a colorful assortment of flowers and inhales deeply. It was such a pleasant fragrance. Happiness. In little things. Her lips curve into a smile. Such little things will always remind her of Jin. Along with a sketchbook, she buys the flowers as a gift to Tetsuya, the former flower boy. He is going to love them. A soft smile forms on her lips.

The door is opened by the spiky haired teen who looks happy to see her for some reason.

"I'm glad you finally decided to pain Suya a visit." Asuka tells her, dragging her in. "C'mon and sit with him. He missed you and that idiot a lot."

Nina frowns at the word 'idiot' used for Jin. Despite getting used to it, she didn't like it when people spoke ill about Jin at all.

"Have you ever gotten to know Jin?" Nina quietly challenges the tomboy.

"No but I would beat-,"

"Don't judge who you don't know." Nina cuts her off with a growl.

Bloody hell, her reaction was so strong. Normally Nina would just shrug and not let anyone's words get to her. Was this….pregnancy hormones?

"Jeez, calm down lady." Asuka snorts, not afraid of the woman.

If Nina wasn't raging she would be impressed off how tough this tomboy girl was. Anyone else might have started crying by now.

The blonde grits her teeth and forces herself to calm down. Asuka was a minor and close to Tetsuya. No one wanted a hormonal angry Nina Williams on their case, Nina mused. People would seriously need to watch out now because even she didn't know where her temper would take her now with an unborn baby in the mix.

She is quiet while Asuka leads her to the boy.

"I haven't seen Jin in a month." Nina reveals to the boy.

"Do you know where he is?"

"Yes." Nina answered truthfully. She was sure he was being sheltered by Lars and co. They had ties with that idiot Lee Chaolan.

"Well why can't you just go to him?" Tetsuya asks. "One of you people have to make the first move. Pride always holds you back, Nins." He taps her nose and gives her a cute smile.

She contemplates on the little boy's words and ruffles his hair. That was the thing, she was afraid to be the first to do something. After her near death experience, Nina didn't want to risk getting killed again. She didn't even know if Jin was still in coma. He wasn't out and about in the time spent apart.

"Such a smarty pants aren't you? Too wise for your age."

"I know you both love each other. Don't let the world tear you apart. Don't let anything tear you apart."

Seeing him again after so long makes her heart swell. She didn't know why she also thought of a certain blond haired man. Tetsuya reminded her of Steve. Both souls who went through so much yet came out as good people. These were such rare souls indeed.

She taps the boy lightly on his nose. "Does that mean you've forgiven Jin and me?"

The boy sighs. "I have. I have forgiven Jin and you."

The truth was that day, it was G corp's men who bombed the area, they had inside people in the Zaibatsu. Jin of course, blamed himself as usual, claiming to be the root cause of it.

"Thank you." Nina says and then decided to tell the boy the truth.

She really didn't want Jin to be blamed for something Kazuya and Anna planned. Tetusya listens to her without interrupting, his eyes go to the floor and he nods in understanding. Quiet as a mouse. Once it sinks, in, she waits for Suya to break the silence.

"Are you going to tell Jin off when he comes back to you?"

She smirks.

"Of course I will, baby." Nina says and pulls the boy closer to her. He wraps his arms around her and snuggles against her arm. Out of nowhere, she had a sudden urge to find the blond boxer and to see him again.

Her….son.

That damned maternal instinct, getting the best of her again. But, surprisingly, she didn't mind.

Tetsuya's words have given Nina a renewed energy. She stands outside of the building that belonged to Violet systems. Not sure if Jin was inside, she waits anyway for a moment. Alisa passes by and Nina stops her.

Immediately, Alisa goes into a stance and for the first time Nina is worried. Not for herself but for her child.

"Alisa! It's okay!" Nina grabs the android hand. "I'm not here as an enemy…" She sighs.

"Then what are you here for?" Alisa asks suspiciously.

Their previous encounter wasn't pleasant. Nina didn't hate the robot but she was unsure what exactly she felt for her. Once upon a time, the robot had grown on Nina in Brisbane and Nina had grown on Alisa. However things were different now.

Much different. She was no longer the Brisbane Alisa.

She was Lars' Alisa now.

It was scary how much things could drastically in some moments. She didn't want Jin to change.

"He's not here." Alisa reveals tepidly. "Jin has not been with us for quite some time now."

"Then where the hell is he?" Nina asks, puzzled.

Alisa cannot answer that.

Nina opens the door to their secret bunker on that specific time and date that she and Jin agreed upon. The lights are already on?

Jin is there.

He stands up and she is frozen to the spot.

Her Jin approaches her. A warmth radiating in his eyes as he sees her for the first time in weeks. It feels as if life is seeping back into Nina.

She takes a step forward without another word, wraps her arms around him and buries her face into his shirt.

A/N: Well...that's one strong baby Nina is having. Iron baby in an iron woman lol. Has an iron father too. Survived the blast and survived the wedding fiasco. XD Them genes tho. Also Nina and her pesky maternal instincts are a treat to write.
