"Hurry up slow poke!" Damon yelled without turning his head back to meet Elena's eyes.

She rolled her eyes before starting. "SOME of us aren't eager to go jump into random stones that we have no CLUE what will do to us.

"Elena trust us." Bonnie nudged behind her.

She spent the past 4 hours in the car listening to Bonnie, Stefan, Damon and Alaric plan out what they would be doing once they went through the stones but she knew they were off. This wasn't right. She spent 2 of those hours trying to convince them they were wrong but Bonnie insisted that her grams had researched the standing stones and how to harness their power to go back to change things.

Alaric would stay behind and make sure everyone got through OK while Elena, Bonnie, Stefan and Damon would go back to 1001 AD to stop the originals from ever turning. Either by killing them or killing whoever tried to turn them. And since they had a witch and 3 vampires it should be easy. So they thought.

Elena quietly thought to the last time she saw Klaus and Elijah Michelson. They thought she was dead after the sacrifice but they never had the thought that the Salvatore's would never let her die so Damon force fed her his blood. She woke up with a hunger she never thought she'd experience while having to deal with the death of Jenna. She gulped feeling the anguish all over again.

"Hey, It'll be OK" Damon lightly placed her hand on her arm. She was so engrossed in her thoughts she hadn't realized he was next to her.

"What if it's not."

"I can't think of any other outcome." He smirked "Look they're just over that hill."

Elena finally noticed the top of the hill. 10 stones standing in a circle with one in the center. The air felt thick as they got closer. She felt a shiver run through her entire body.

"OK you guys remember what to do?" Bonnie looked around to everyone.

Elena remembered. We were supposed to all link hands, Bonnie in the front to guide us to the right time.

Before anyone could respond Elena felt the wind pick up and a loud buzz that started to get louder and louder.

Elena looked around confused. "Do you guys hear that?!" Elena yelled over the buzzing.

"Hear what?" Stefan said puzzled as he walked closer to Elena who now had her hands gripped over her ears.

"It sounds like..." Elena drifted off as she curiously walked towards the stones that seemed like they were drawing her to them.

"Elena no!" Damon yelled as she got too close to the stones. Before she could look back at him she rested her hands on the middle stone and felt the wind get knocked out of her.

Darkness.
