Chapter 3
I gasped for air as I opened my eyes. It felt as though I fell off a 20 story building. My eyes focused to see that I was laying on the ground in a cemetery. alone.
Mausoleums, cold, dark, quiet. I began to try and take in where I was and then panic began to set in as I slowly got up to check my surroundings.
"What the fu-"
"What are you doing in here." a males voice asked hesitantly.
"I-I don't know" I said being honest. "Where am I?"
"Somewhere you don't belong darling."
"Please-" I said quietly " I don't mean you any harm." I could see that he was in modern clothes so I couldn't have gone back in time.
He sighed hesitantly. "You're in Lafayette Cemetery in New Orleans. A place that your kind isn't welcome."
My kind. So he knew I was a vampire.
"How did you get here." He said backing up slightly.
"I'm sorry- I- I didn't mean to intrude. Can you help me to the exit?" I could sense that this man was powerful and I should not be here.
"Vincent!"
"Haven't you heard it's not wise to sneak up on a witch in their own territory." The man - Vincent - turned around menacingly.
"You called the meeting buddy." She watched as another man walked up - definitely a vampire, definitely hot and definitely in charge.
"Well it seems we have a problem. I thought we agreed no more turning random humans and letting them run free." Vincent Tsked.
The man stopped and looked Elena up and down.
"Definitely not one of mine. My guys know the rules."
"I'm Elena and i'm no ones property." She said gaining her footing on where and who she was again.
She watched as the man stepped closer and grabbed her hand delicately.
"Marcel. What brings you here to our beautiful city."
She tried to lie but something in his eyes told her she could trust him.
"I didn't mean to come here." She said hesitantly looking from Marcel to Vincent as they looked to each other.
"Well miss, i think you need to leave." Vincent said stepping closer waving his hands up as she felt fire rise up in her head bringing her to her knees.
"No Please!" Elena screamed "The standing stones!" She felt the fire stop instantly.
"What did you say?" Vincent said concerned.
"The standing stones, I don't know what happened. One moment I was in North Carolina and the second"- she waved around- " I was here."
Everything happened so quickly. Vincent deep in thought. The quick nod to Marcel. And then -
Darkness
