The three students take a deep breath as the uncomfortable feeling of apparation fades. Around them, they can see nothing but a small house and never ending green plains.

"Welcome to your home away from home for the next month." Reiji says calmly, "Just a warning, if you try and waste my time, I'll take you right back, got it?"

They nod as Reiji motions them I to the house. Oddly, it didn't seem nearly as smell as it looks. The ceiling were easily as tall as those in Greengrass manor, and though it wasn't as high end, it still put number four privet drive to shame.

Inside, though she was with them merely seconds before, Eren had set out three identical sets of clothes, each having a wand holster and a dangerous looking knife, "Get changed, and be ready for a lot of running." she instructs, "Meet us outside when you're ready." without waiting for their response, she and Reiji walk back out the door.

Daphne and Susan each take an outfit and get changed in the bathroom, while Harry changes right there. The uniform was surprisingly comfortable, far better than his usual running attire. He attached the knife in its sheath to his waist.

Susan and done came back wearing the same outfit. The only difference was where they put their knives. Susan's was strapped to her left leg, while Daphne put her's on her upper arm. "Ready?" Harry asks them, both twitching nervously.

"Let's get started." Susan sighs, with a small grin, "Before I change my mind..."

Daphne chuckles and they follow Harry out the door. Reiji was muttering under his breath as he transfigured bricks into human shaped mannequins with guns. Eren was loading half a dozen guns and then test firing each, comparing the shots.

Reiji looks at them, "First thing you're going to do is spar with Eren. You might want to work together, just to be safe. Also, no magic just yet."

Harry nods, and removes his wand from his holster, the girls following suit. Eren puts the gun she was holding away and turns to them. Her hand drifts behind her back, returning seconds later with identical knife to theirs, "Let's go." she says, and all three of them take hold of their own knives.

Harry was the first make a move, slashing at her, until she blocks with her knife, and faster than the eye could see, drew a second one and gave Harry a deep gash on his arm, "Never think you've seen all your targets weapons until you've searched his corpse." she instructs, kicking Harry back towards the girls.

Susan kneels next to him and attempts to bandage his arm while Daphne glares daggers at the nonchalant killer. When Harry is tenuously on his feet, he mutters to both of them, "Together."

Both nod, and again he lashes out, this time joined by his closest friends. Again Eren block his, and also blocks Daphne's, but Susan's was right on target. Just as they were sure they'd gotten her, she twists the knife in her left hand, redirecting Daphne's lunge and throwing her off balance. Daphne goes down with a knee to the face, and Susan attack is blocked as easily as theirs.

"Are you done playing around, or do you like getting yourselves beaten to a bloody pulp?" she asks, forcing both of them to back off. Daphne coughs wildly, slowly crawling back towards them through her possible concussion.

Harry losses his temper, and runs over to his wand. Turning back, he threw the knife, and sent body bind curse. Eren doesn't even seem fazed. Easily, she throws her own knife and steeps forward, grabbing his knife out if the air. The white light of the body bind reflected off the knife, hitting Daphne square in the back, causing her to collapse.

"Daphne!" Harry shouts, running towards her to remove the curse, "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to-"

"its okay." she sighs after she could move again, "No harm done."

"I thought that I said no magic." Reiji smiles from the completed field of mannequins, "But that just proves you've got the right instincts."

Eren nods, "Never throw aside a weapon, especially not because your enemy told you to.

"So you wanted us to use magic?" Susan asks in disbelief, picking up her wand.

"Of course we did. No one would have a chance against Eren if they've never used a knife before." he smirks.

"I thought you'd have forgotten about the no magic rule when I hit him." Eren says, waving her wand to heal his arm, "Regardless, that was all I needed." she walks to the guns she'd picked earlier and picks up three. The smallest, a revolver, is given to Susan, next was a moderate gun to Daphne, and Harry got a large, heavy gun.

"Be careful with that." she warns, "You've got the most strength in your hands, but the recoil will still surprise you. Don't forget that."

Harry nods as Reiji begins explaining the test.

"They're where!?" Cyrus yells, after hearing Morgan's story.

"Training. With Reiji." she sighs, "All of us tried to talk them out of it, but they wouldn't budge."

"You left our children in the hands of them?" he shouts, and turns to Amelia angrily, "What were you two thinking?!"

Amelia wasn't as patient with his outburst as Morgan and stood, glaring into his eyes, "Cyrus, you haven't seen them since last summer. They aren't the little kids you remember. They may be young, but if they say this is what they want to do, it would be nothing short of foolish stop them! You've been so obsessed with tracking down inferno and Astoria, you never stopped to consider how they were feeling! How Daphne must be dealing with it!

Did you stop to consider how your other daughter feels about this? About how Harry must be feeling!? What about Susan?! They were all right there, and they couldn't stop it!

They did this because they didn't want to let this happen again! That's why they're training with the only people why actually succeeded in stopping them! The woman beat Dumbledore, but still ran when he got involved! Harry needs this, and those girls are willing to be right there with him, so what right do you have to stop them!?"

Cyrus gaps as Amelia systemically crushes him. Every argument he could think of was obliterated with one blow. Morgan looked torn between agreement and terror.

Calming down slightly, Amelia sighs, "I'm sorry, Cyrus. But those kids grew up while you were gone. Let them do what they need to."

He can only nod as tears stream from his eyes silently.

Kingsley forces the truth serum down the suspect's throat. After a moment I'd resistance, his eyes glaze over as the potion takes effect. Not wasting any time, he jumps right into it. "What is your job in Inferno?"

"I'm a drug mule. I bring product in from Columbia." he answers emotionlessly.

"Who do you work for?"

"McGuire-" he replies, and the tongue of fire snuffed out his life before he could say another.

Kingsley curses, and orders his men to deal with the body, "McGuire. Dawlish! Contact the proper authorities in Columbia. Find out if anyone named McGuire is on their radar, and tell Madam Bones. She asked us to keep her in the loop here."

Receiving the affirmative, he sighs, "One down, and five to go." ordering the next prisoner in, he removes the cork from the next vial.

Three weeks passed quickly with something to distract them from thoughts of Tori. During those weeks, each of them excelled, though in different areas.

Being the most agile of them, Susan's skulls in knife and close combat were unmatched, easily beating Harry and Daphne nine times out of ten. Not as good as Eren who beat them ten times out of ten, but still impressive.

The steady hand that made her a skillful alchemist and potioneer served Daphne well with firearms. Her accuracy was almost at Reiji's level, though she was slightly slower as well.

Harry had taken to practice Dueling both Eren and Reiji and it showed. While he wasn't able to best them together, individually they're hard pressed to beat him, with Harry winning just under half their matches. It didn't hurt that they began teaching him much more combat oriented magic. Much of it was dark magic, but he wasn't about to start complaining.

Even with that, both of his teachers admitted that Cal's magic surpassed theirs, so he was still a step behind his goal.

Their days started with long around the area, a total of six miles. While they were still exhausted, Eren and Reiji got whatever equipment they need for the training, which began ten minutes after they stopped.

This training ranged from pistols, to sniper rifles, to machine guns, depending on the day with no apparent reason behind the order. Daphne excelled in all of those.

Other equipment included a large selection of knives, bats, and other weapons that could be found lying in an alley somewhere.

Just before dinner, they worked on magic. In general, Harry taught Daphne and Susan, while Reiji and Eren taught him. Every now and then they'd learn something together, but this method helped them to not feel overwhelmed after the first spell.

Every now and then one or both of them would leave some instructions for them and disappear, returning a few hours later with different clothes and a new gun. None of them bothered to ask where they were. In fact, the first time it happened, Daphne asked if they kill the bastard who took tori.

Reiji replied saying "no but if we find him, he's yours."

Daphne gave a very un-Daphne like smile, and proceeded to destroy almost fifty bricks with a machine gun. Harry just sighed and resumed knife training with Susan.

A week before they left to return to school, Reiji came back with a grim look and a newspaper, "I've got news and you won't like it."

Lowering the gun he was shooting, Harry turns to Jim and accepts the newspaper.

One look at the newspaper makes Harry scowl, "Cyrus couldn't have..."

"No this was inferno." Eren sighs from behind him, "Getting rid of an outed operative, while simultaneously throwing the opposition into disarray, searching for an enemy that doesn't exist? I have no doubt they were behind it."

Reiji nods in his agreement as Daphne and Susan read the article, "What I don't get is the timing. Why now? If they were going to kill him to silence him, why wait? Cal could've killed him easily, so why have they left him alive until now?"

"Maybe they still had a use for him?" Susan suggests, and Reiji gasps.

"William Wallace."

Eren stiffens, "Do you think they'd go that far so soon?"

"Who's William Wallace?" Daphne asks, crumbling up the article.

"The first man I killed." Reiji sighs, "He was a navy seal, abusing his position to acquire guns for inferno, as well as other groups. Until he was investigated by the FBI for the murder of an agent. Fearing he might attempt to go against them, inferno brought him to me as my final test."

Harry pales as he thinks what that means, though his friends are clueless.

"What is it?" Susan asks.

"Tori." Harry answers grimly, and they realize what she means.

"Tori couldn't have killed him!" Daphne shouts, "She couldn't have changed that much in a month!"

"It only took me two months, and that was with me fighting Eren the whole way," Reiji says calmly, "If Cal managed to convince her to actually try, she wouldn't have any trouble making it to this point so soon. That guy wasn't anything special."

"Do you really think it was Tori?" Daphne asks in a whisper as Susan gives her a hug for support.

Reiji shakes his head, "I can't say. I'll check with Shiiga, but I can't be sure. Don't worry about training today. Take a rest. We'll see what we can dig up."

Harry sighs and leads the girls back into the help, assisting Susan with supporting Daphne who seemed to have lost the strength to move herself.

Eren grabs Reiji's arm and they apparate to the London underground, "Now what are you not telling them?"

"Never could keep anything from you." he smiles, buying them each a ticket, "Cal didn't kill him. It was too sloppy. It's possible the newspaper was right, but the girls the most likely candidate."

"What do we do?" she asks quietly, no wanting to be over heard, even in the loud train station, "If we find her?"

"If we can, take her alive." Reiji answers, his hand instinctively taking hold of his gun, "I haven't seen any proof that she's become like cal. If she can be saved, it's worth it. We'll pin everything on Cal and give her a life back. If not..."

"No mercy." Eren sighs, "I really wish we didn't have to, but you're right. If she's a willing member now, she dies."

"You sniff around. See what you can find." Reiji says, walking away, "I'll pay Shiiga a visit. Maybe he knows where she is."

That night, both of them returned without news. Daphne hadn't been expecting any, but it was still a sore blow. After a sleeping potion induced sleep, she'd been almost back to normal.

The resumed training helped. It was easier to forget the disappointment when you had something else occupying your mind, like pumping as many slugs, spells, and knife blows into a mannequin.

Harry's accuracy with both his spells and the gun now tucked into his waistband had greatly improved, almost equaling Daphne's. Aside from a slight decrease in performance the morning after Scrimgeour death, Daphne's skills had continued to improve. By the end of the month, she was Eren's equal with long rifles, and Reiji's equal with hand guns.

Susan put all four of them to shame. With two knives, she could destroy an army without taking a hit. While that might have been because Reiji had carved protective runes into her chosen blades, allowing them to deflect moderate curses and made them nearly unbreakable.

On August thirty first, they were called out by Reiji. "You've all done well." he tells them, "So let's see how well. When you first got here, Eren beat you without even breaking a sweat. How will you fare against the both of us?"

With waiting for an answer, he slips a knife into his hand and deftly tosses it toward Harry. Susan steps between then and grabs the knife, "Should you say start before throwing thing?" she smirks, handing the knife to Daphne and drawing her own.

"Start." Eren says calmly, ripping out two revolvers and emptying them both at the group. That might've been bad if they hadn't taught Harry to create a physical barrier from earth. Because of the abundance, the spell didn't even take much magic, even when blocking twelve expertly placed shots.

Reiji smirks, and with a flick of his wand the wall of dirt explodes, pelting them with clumps of mud and squashed bullets, "Just because you blocked them doesn't been they aren't dangerous. It wouldn't take much effort for me to banish one if those into your skull."

Daphne cocks her own gun and fires rapidly, anticipating his dodging. Each shot was closer than the last; finally the last bullet lands solidly in Reiji's dominate right shoulder. Through a hiss of pain, he pulls his Beretta and shots the gun from her hand.

Eren, who'd been dueling with Harry, rushed to his side, and at some point managed to work in a spell to repair the shattered bone and muscles. With Reiji back to strength, both of them began pushing Harry back. With Daphne's support fire, the advantage was neutralized, but none of them even noticed that Susan had disappeared.

Just as a covert imperious curse misses Daphne, Susan steps out from Harry's invisibility cloak, behind the two veterans and placed her knives to their throats, "we win."

"You sure?" Reiji smirks, pointing down. Looking, she saw that Reiji had a gun to her liver and Eren's knife was less than two inches from her kidney.

"Good attempt, but not good enough." Eren grins at her, until she felt a gun to her temple. Glancing, she saw Daphne on one side, and Harry had his wand to the back of Reiji's head.

"It might not have won, but as a distraction it works fine." Susan laughs, "So, do we win?"

"For now." Reiji shrugs and all of them lower their weapons, and responds by raising his own to all of them, "Didn't we tell you not to throw away your weapons?"

Eren chuckles, "Probably thought we weren't enemies anymore. More than a few people have died for that."

"That was cheap." Susan glares.

"We routinely break the law, and you think we care?" Reiji laughs, lowering the gun, "Get your things. You're going back."

On the top floor of an office building in London, there is a knock on the boss' door.

"Enter." McGuire says, sipping his wine, and Scythe walks in, "Wonderful. Forgive me for asking you to this impromptu meeting."

"Think nothing of It." he bows, accepting the wine, Cal stands by the door, looking bored, "To what do we owe the privilege?"

"As we expected, the aurors have been increasing their raids against us. While most of them are useless, they have brought down several of our stores, not the least being my own groups'." he says, handing a glass to scythe.

"Normally this wouldn't be a problem. Product is product, and if need be, expendable. But it would seem our unbreakable vow hasn't stopped their interrogations. Somehow they got my name, and someone's been poking around where they shouldn't. My own sources in Columbia have blocked their investigation, but I believe a more permanent solution is in order." handing him the file, he smirks, "I trust you can handle it, Phantom?"

"I'm not even going to waste by breath answering that." she huffs, "What's the deadline?"

"I'm not concerned that they might find any information, so as long as it's done by the end of the year, I have no problems." he smiles, "How you do everything is up to you. Use whatever resources necessary. Just get it done."

"We will be sure to live up to your praise." Scythe bows, walking back towards the door.

Cal looks back before leaving, "Am I to assume you approve of my body disposal?"

"Excellently done." he nods, "I'm quite curious where you learned to give the dark mark, as I'm sure Zane never had it before."

"Trade secret." she shrugs, "I'll be going."

"How is Ein doing now?" he asks kindly, "I noticed that her last three jobs went off without a problem."

"She's good. Real good." Cal answers honestly, "By this time next year, she'll be phantom and I'll just be Drei again,"

"I look forward to it. With Ein and Zwei on the loose, you won't be enough on your own." he says approvingly, "And I doubt it needs saying, but just in case. If you have the opportunity to do so, feel free to take them out. And I may need your assistance for a covert operation in the near future."

"You've got my number." she says walking out, "Give me a call."
