Chapter: Day at the Čudoduh Valley
Luz stirred out of a deep sleep. As soon as she felt a tap on her nose, and she opened her eyes to squint at her beloved Kayda. The dragon immediately head butted her.
"Morning Kayda."
The dragon cooed softly and rolled over onto her back, exposing her belly to Luz, which she promptly took as an invite and rubbed it. In response, blue-green drake purred happily and kicked her foot a little.
Then Kayda carefully jumped off of her little place on the bed and padded over to the door and then down stairs.
Not to long after Luz was already dressed and ready for another day. Her dragon pet was waiting for her when she walked into the kitchen.
As she pulled out the bottle of Anoki berry smoothie from the fridge, Luz noticed something about the house - or rather, the lack of it.
"It's very quiet around here, don't you think?"
The dragon snorted and smoke exited her nostrils and she continued glaring at Luz. Unaccustomed to silence.
"Jett, King or Michael are usually here by now." The girl said, blearily looking around and settling her gaze on the kitchen worktop. A raspberry scone sat on a small plate along with a steaming cup of tea.
There's also a sticky note that says,
Hi Luz. I know we're supposed to have trip to the Lake of Blazing Blood today, but let's reschedule this for... a few days from now. I'm kind of busy. My parents want to drag me and King to Healing Coven for our Werewolf Pox shot. AND WE WILL NOT BE TAKEN ALIVE!
P.S. Katrina got you the book you asked about. You can borrow my staff to fly to Čudoduh Valley. I left it in livingroom, Howlitty is against me when it comes to run from needles.
Jett ;)
"What do you say we take a trip to Čudoduh Valley?" Luz asked Kayda, eating her scone.
The dragon thought over her options, and nodded her head quickly, all while jumping onto the teen's shoulder and sitting on it.
Luz landed directly on the front porch of the Haunted Mansion. Honestly, the mansion where Katrina and her parents lives wasn't given a name. Eda just call Lilith's home 'the Haunted Mansion' because of the spirits visiting this place. And the name stuck. Despite protests from the older Clawthorne sister.
The invisible force opened the door before she knocked, Luz figured that this was probably one of spirits which remember her as "welcome visitor".
However, as soon as she entered the mansion, Tinsel bounded into the hallway, stopping when he saw Luz. Despite her efforts, huan cat still don't like the girl. So his ears pinned back as he lowered himself to the ground, all tails swishing. Yet, at this Howlitty'd launched herself from the staff and flew to the cat.
Howlitty slowly approached Tinsel, palisman's head lowered. Tinsel sniffed Howlitty, allowing a palisman to sniff him. They followed each other in a circle and eventually sat down on the ground. Gentle purrs rumbled from Tinsel's throat as he groomed Howlitty's face, the owlcat purring in return.
After that Howlitty and Tinsel jumped on the hallway table, crawled into a ball and fall asleep.
"Awww." Luz took they picture, and she just go upstairs to found Katrina's room.
She was at the top of the stairs when Kayda noticed small sparkling ice spirit that Luz's can't see. And in one second, the dragon jumped off Luz's shoulder, bounced right off the handrail to floated down toward spirit. Just want to play.
The spirit wasn't happy about that, and went through Kayda's left wing freezing the entire limb. A surprise, ice and gravity do the rest.
"Kayda!"
Luz tried to save Kayda by grabbing her tail, but dragon was already falling and pulled a teen down with her.
The Latina still had a hold of Kayda's tail and to protect dragon from the hard landing that was coming she pulled dragon into her chest and folded her arms around her. She closed her eyes and waited for impact.
But.
The impact never came... She felt weightless. Cracking open her eyes just a little, she was able to confirm that she was levitating off the ground and glowing blue.
"I'm flying?"
"The correct term is "levitating", but yes." Lilith said, aiming her hand down and setting both dragon and teen down on the floor safely.
"Thanks Lilith." Luz rubbed the back of her neck with a smile. "You saved me from being new paint on the wall."
"You're welcome." Lilith smiled softy, reaching over and petting Kayda's head with the tip of her fingers before defrost dragon wing. "So, what brings you two by, Luz?"
"I came to Katrina."
"You just missed her, actually, but you're welcome to wait."
"You're certain I won't be intruding?" Luz's eyes fell on the dozens of books and papers floating right next to the raven witch. "It seems you got a lot of work to do."
"I was just getting ready for lesson with my apprentice Amity."
"Oh! You have a apprentice too?"
"Actually, I'm teaching privately a few witchlings. But Amity Blight is my strongest and talented protégé." Lilith confirmed.
"Blight." Luz echoed, "I'm sure I've heard that name somewhere before..."
"In fact, Blight family is very famous." The witch said in return. "Besides, I'm sure Edalyn certainly mentioned to you about some of her wild pranks on Amity's mother when we were in school."
"Yeah, she were a terrible student." Luz said with a smile, thinking about the last game night when Eda shared a few story from her past with them. "But I think Willow or Gus was the one who said something about Blights."
"Anyway, you can stay here as long as you like."
"Then I wait for Katrina, and by the way, can I take part in the lesson?"
Lilith thought for a minute. "Normally, I wouldn't mind but Amity will be practice like set fire to Abominations today. This requires focus and clarity of thought."
"So, only two people in room." Luz finished, "Get it. I and Kayda won't bother you."
"While we're on the topic of magic lesson. I've been meaning to ask, how's your magic training coming along?" Lilith glanced towards Luz as the two continued to walk through the mansion.
"Well, I'm still trying understand the trick with mixing glyphs and witch's magic in one spell." Luz slowly replied, "From what I, Jett and Katrina've been able to put together, fusion spell is formed when the participants are mental harmonious with each other during cast the spell. We also need a staff as the catalyst to do it."
"Katrina mentioned that only a few spells of your magic combinations can be used."
Luz nodded, "I and Jett've mastered 2, while with Katrina I've mastered 1 combination. However, we have no idea how to deal with others. Most of these mix we have tried... It doesn't always work like exactly as it should be. Or just doesn't work at all."
"In theory, combine two types of magic is easy." Lilith then formed a spell circle with her left hand and conjured a floating ball of water and electricity, which she dissipated before forming a ball of flaming ice. "But your glyphs and witches's magic are two different things, similar but different. So, it's natural to this way to cast spell, a strong kind of spells, will not always be easy to operate. Mastery of the skill requires experience and a lot of hard work."
"Nova says that, too." Luz remembered the last visit in headquarters of the Order when Team of Light presented fusion spell to Nova. But, the woman was still thought they are ready only for the B-rank missions.
"She is a wise person. And, how did your magic lesson with my sister go?"
"We have a short break because of Kayda. But Eda promised take me on a trip to the Blazing Wilderness on Friday! And teach me how found new glyph there. In naturally way!"
Lilith smiled, seeing a teen's excitement.
"This s-" the witch paused, a brief anger and annoyance passing over her expression. "Leave this house now." She said and her subtle shifts in her tone implying that she is dead serious.
Luz stilled for a moment. "Why, what did I do?"
"No, I didn't mean you, Luz. Some wind spirits try to sneak into the bathroom, and steal all shampoo again." Lilith turned her head, but was still unsubtly watching spirits out of the corner of her eye, "They're into create soap bubbles. 15 gallons of shampoo gone already."
"You see them?" Luz tilted her head. "I thought only the shamans can see spirits, and eventually allow other people to see them."
"My wedding ring is made of the Whispering Palladium, which allows see spirits. My husband wanted to make sure I can see the world the way he does." The witch informed her as she and teen walked to big room resembling the look of library annex.
"Awww. It's romantic."
After these words Luz remembered she had a one question for the older Clawthorne.
"Lilith, may I ask you something? I wanted to ask Eda about this, but Katrina said that I should come to you with that question."
"What would you like to know about, Luz?"
"Blood magic. I was t-"
"Get that thought out of your head!" Lilith said, her expression shifting drastically. "Blood magic has been banned in the Boiling Isles. And with good reason."
Luz raised up her hands defensively. "I don't want to use it. Just want to ask why human blood is powerful."
There was a pause. The witch's face mellowed into neutral expression.
"Blood is the life which flows in each one of us," Lilith start explaining, "And with sacrifice being powerful magic. But Highbloodier is caused by an extremely rare genetic mutation that skips a generation. Because in your world Ley lines and magical energy in them have existed since the beginning of time, humans were exposed to this magic radiation witch caused the Highbloodier gen."
"Is there a possibility I'm the Highbloodier?"
Lilith wondered even though the human girl was sure that she already knew the answer. "That's possible, but only 1 percent of the population has blood with this kind of power. And there's only one way to see if you have this curse. Use the Blood Magic."
"This is more gift than curse." Luz pointed out.
Lilith raised a brow, thrown off by the comment. The lives of Highbloodiers were usually a exposed to a risk of death. Whoever Luz might not have known that. "Creatures and people who owned powerfull blood were hunted and killed."
It takes Luz a moment to breathe again after the revelation of those words hits her. "What!? Why?"
"Some magic users were so blinded by greed, and they have prioritised their grip on power over the lives of others. For them Highbloodier was merely a vessel, filled with powerfull blood. Nothing more."
"That's horrible." Luz said. From her shoulder, Kayda growled in agreement.
"Greed, desire for power, creates a greatest monsters of them all." Lilith simply stated before walking over to a long table which she was using as a workbench.
In the meantime, Kayda jumped off Luz's shoulder, and begun to admire the large room and its secrets. Next, after a few seconds, the dragon took hold of dark stick in her teeth and ran up to her owner.
"What d'ya got there, Kayda?" Luz said curiously, calling Lilith's attention away from her table.
The dragon set the stick down next to Luz's feet. Kayda growled while she continued making eye-contact with a teen girl.
"We can't play fetch here." Luz picked this out of the floor, and smiled. "Funny. This stick looks like a wand."
"Because it's wand." Lilith told her.
Luz's smile only grew. "I'm holding the true magic wand?!"
"Yes, witches use training wands to help them learn spells."
As the raven witch was focused on scroll in her hand, she failed to notice Luz had made gestures with a training wand and accidentally draw a large spell circle in the air. A huge blast of energy destroyed old vase next to them, along with the table upon which it stood.
"You really are Eda's apprentice," Lilith sighed with a shake of her head.
"I'm sorry!" Luz exclaimed looking down at the shattered vase. Green mist floated for a second out of the broken vase with a ghostly moan.
"It wasn't some magic urn that contain the souls of the entire demonic army or anything like that?" She asked, nervously inching away as the broken vase moan every time Kayda nudges the pieces.
Lilith began to speak in a calm voice. "No. One of small spirit just trying to trick you."
Luz breathed a sigh of relief as she crouched down to pick up the broken parts. "I'll put it back together." But she don't have to. Amazingly, all pieces of vase it up and repaired itself.
"Umm...Done?"
"Almost everything in this house is magical linked with a shamanic talisman of regeneration. We have found this very useful. Some spirits can be troublesome." Lilith put a vase back on the table which also fixed itself. "My sister, too." She added in a whisper.
"Soooo, you're not mad?"
"Just be careful with things in this room." At that the witch stared at Luz pointedly. She lowered her gaze and muttered a quick 'yes, ma'am' to Lilith.
There was a moment of silence, as Luz was turning over the training wand and looking at it. The witch noticed the excited spark in girls eyes.
"I know what you think, Luz." Lilith said gently, "I'm sorry I have to disappoint you, but the training wands have a magic battery to not exhaust a witch like normal casting will, and they can always be used by everyone."
With this information, Luz's expression lost it's cheerful air, "Then I hadn't learned a new spell."
Lilith gave a half-smile, "Not today."
"Lilith?" A new voice asked.
They glanced in the direction of the door and was greeted with the sight of Harlow's head coming in first, as if shaman was confirming that he was definitely in the right place and on recognizing it was his wife stood there, the rest of Harlow followed in.
"Have you seen my bone rattle? I need t-Oh hello Luz." Harlow greeted when noticed the human girl. And then he heard a familiar growling and smiled when he saw bluish-green dragon. "And Kayda."
"Hi Harlow." Luz said with a wave.
"Dear, you're actually trying to steal your sister' apprentice?" Harlow said in a teasing way. Luz realized she's still holding the training wand and quickly put it back on a table.
"Luz's kind of person who could only be Edalyn's student." Lilith said in return before handing him the bone rattle. "Also I left you a tool kit in the garden."
"Thank you." Harlow thanked his wife kissing her on the forehead. "Summon the Grand Elemental Spirit is so much easier with the rattle."
"What's the Grand Elemental Spirit?" Luz was overcome by curiosity.
Harlow turned to her, "Each main shaman clan has one of powerful elemental spirits known as the Grand Elemental Spirits. They are derived from the Great Spirit itself, and like it, constitute a collective of pure element shaman energy. They're also living in the spirit world. And I, as The Great Charmer of my clan, care about the Elemental Spirit's connection with our clan. Summon them regularly, do the traditional ritual to share spiritual energy."
"Can I watch?" Luz asked, looking at the shaman with visibly excited in her eyes.
He thought for a moment. "Well, I see no reason why you can't."
"Where are all the spirits?" Luz asked, eyes roaming over the empty garden.
"Sleep. Most of them are exhausted." Drawing up a tray, pestle, and grinder, Harlow started to toil at them; emptying multiple bags of odd materials into them along with several glowing crystals. "They donate me most of their energy so I can summon the Grand Elemental Spirits from the spirit world. It is a tiresome process in comparison to a typical work with spirits."
"I read once that the world is pervaded by invisible forces and spirits. It's this a definition of spirit world?" Luz asked as she check one of many bags.
"It's a spirit zone; a layer of the Magic Realm, the relationship between this zone and a normal world can be compared to soft waves regularly strike the beach. The spirit world is called Ledgerdomain, that's where the spirits come from."
Harlow kept working; mixing and grinding up something in the pestle that included, but was not limited to crushed crystal, surge crystals, blue peels, something that looked like moss, and about four other items Luz couldn't even see. It was starting to make her more curious.
"So, spirits come from another dimension?"
"The oldest and most powerful. But as for the rest, they has a different story."
The shaman replied as he fired a brief spurt of magic into the pestle, short enough it flash fried whatever was inside and made Luz yelp in surprise from the flash of light and smoke.
Then he turned around with what looked like some sort of powder filling the pestle like a bowl.
Luz went to ask what this was about, but Harlow beat her to the punch with her actions - he made a five small mounds of powder and put the white crystal engraved with the symbol on small spot between the mounds, causing the powder to form specific shape and crystal began glowing in the usual way for summon ritual. However, Luz quickly leaned in as it was doing so.
She's 95% sure a glyph was being displayed. A small circle with a spiral triskele in the middle was at the bottom of the shape's edge, with a diamond stretching from the circle's top to the top part of the circle. The diamond was bisected vertically, making it look like two triangles, while a horizontal line extended from the side corners of the diamond to the edges.
She quickly grabbed a pen and paper, but Harlow corrected her thinking way.
"This is the seal of Elemental Spirits, which reveal the location of the Grand Elemental Spirits. Shaman seals are based on the glyphs, hence this look-likeness."
"Then it might help me found new glyph." Taking the time to get the lines exactly right, Luz drew two copies of the symbol.
"I like your enthusiasm." Harlow wait patiently until she's finished, and told her to stand behind him.
"Lupine." He summoned his chanul. "You know what to do."
Lupine grabbed the bone rattle with her tail. As chanul began dance masterfully through the air and make music, Luz found herself swinging a bit to the rhythm of the unamed melody.
Harlow lifted his hand as his markings began to glow white. He went through 30 hand seals, pouring precisely measured magic in every seal, a soft shimmering light connected around his palms.
The half of the seal on ground lifted immediately, vanishing into thin air.
The shaman puffing a bit did another fifty seals, then spread his fingers and turned both wrists, each digit created a little spiral triskele symbol.
As the silver symbols glowed around him, he lowered both hands to the ground. With enormous focus, he called up the power from spirits. The light swelled in the garden and he bent low again. Another pull, another burst of light. The third time he invoked the power the other part of seal change color to the white-blue and creates a spiralling silvery white rift in the air, no bigger than the size of a Shire Horse.
The oval rift beginning to spit sparks erratically as the sound of rattle filled the air, Harlow' facial expressions relaxed and again went through hand seals.
Suddenly, a massive claw larger than adult man reached out from beyond the rift and slammed against the ground, prompting Kayda to jump in fright. Luz could only stare with slack-jawed disbelief as the claw led back to an arm slowly pulling itself through the rift. It was almost comparable to watching a gaggle of clowns pile out from a wagon far too small to hold them as a massive scaled figure gradually emerged from the riff, casting a monolithic shadow over the all three of them as it fully emerged.
"Behold, Luz, one of the Grand Elemental Spirits. Spirit of Wind - Fei." Harlow solemnly said as Lupine sat down on his shoulder.
Towering over them was a massive white scaled wyvern, the folded membranes of its wings closed. Blue spots ran up and down the length of the wyvern's body, each one easily a adult man in length.
"Amazing…" Luz muttered, her fear quickly giving way to wondrous excitement.
Kayda suddenly let out a high pitched cry and rushed to the bigger creature.
"Kayda come back!" Luz shouted as she chased after the dragon. But Harlow grabbed her arm to stop her.
"Let her do it."
The wyvern watched carefully as little dragon walks up to it real fast.
And then Kayda stopped, like, two meters from the wyvern. A loud roar echoed over the Čudoduh Valley. When Fei finished its might roar, its eyes have locked with Kayda's. The blue-green drake roared back, splays out her wings to the right angle. Honestly that sounded like small lion cub compared to the roar of wyvern's.
Yet... Fei reacted with kind of excitement, slapping its large tail on the ground as Kayda finished.
The dragon craned her neck to look up at the fellow wyvern in front of her. Kayda's pupils remained constricted as she continued to stare at the wyvern exhausting and she slowly stood up on her hind legs.
Fei was silent for several moments before a hint of recognition seemed to flash in its eyes. Slowly, its snout touched the end of Kayda's nose. Kayda cooed, flapping her small wings every so often for added emotions.
"What just happened?" Luz asked, turning to Harlow in a bid for answers.
"Well, let's just say Kayda wants to show that she is as courageous as her ancestors." The shaman respond before he called. "Fei!"
The creature's ears seemed to perk up at the sound of its name, casting its gaze down at the shaman and teen standing around trees. Its attention seemed focused on Luz in particular, leaning down until its eyes were level with the human girl. Luz was reflected back in Fei's eyes as it remained locked onto her.
"Yes, she is human." Harlow answered a question that only he could have heard.
Firnen grunted, blowing a puff of air out its nose with enough force to almost knock Luz off her feet.
"Nice to meet you." Luz said softly.
The wyvern was silent for two seconds before it stuck out its tongue and licked a teen across the face, the sheer size of its tongue lifting Luz a foot off the ground before she dropped back down with her face now dripping with drool.
"Fei liked you." Harlow sounded satisfied as he hands her a handkerchief, "I even think the Grand Elemental Spirit will let you to participate in the heaven dance."
"What's that?" Luz replied, visibly excited.
"You'll see."
- Some time later -
The grass crunched under young witch's feet as she cut across the field towards the mansion right in the middle of Čudoduh Valley, soon staring at her reflection in the mirrored surface of the door knocker.
She had two-toned, chin-length green hair that is brown at the roots and has a ponytail pulling the front hair out of her face. Her eyes are tan colored and she has pale skin. She wore a black short sleeve dress, orchid leggings and black point shoes with golden crescent moon buckles. Around her neck, she wears an amulet with an orchid gemstone while holding a purple purse on her right arm.
This witchling was Amity Blight.
Her finger hovered over the door bell, her scroll clutched in the other. Her eyes didn't tear away from the scroll until the 10:29 ticked to 10:30. She shoved her scroll into her purse, out of sight, and pressed the doorbell simultaneously. Being punctual was instinct after being Lilith's protégé for so long.
The doors open by themselves, so Amity come inside, and was greeted with a loud meow.
Tinsel chirped, rolling on his back with his paws in the air. The cat then sauntered up to Amity, rubbing against her legs.
"Hello, Tinsel." Amity knelt beside him, running her hands across his back. A happy "merrow" and Tinsel was nuzzling her hand, purring once again.
Then a witchling noticed Howlitty sitting on a small tripod side table. So, she figured that Jett is here too.
Amity had met Jett a few times beforehand, and overall, she found him to be a bit wild but nice person (at least better than her older siblings). So, she have no problem with his presence in house during her lesson.
"Howlitty." Amity just said, trying to get distance from the owlcat. Jett was neutral/nice for her, but his palisman was usually acting real strange right it saw .
Frowning, Howlitty carefully jumped off of her little place on the table and padded over to the door that lead other part of house. Tinsel followed the palisman into the corridor.
Amity was left alone at spacious hallway. She uses the opportunity to put on a bangle bracelet that Harlow gave her so she can see spirits. She looked around. And not a spirit in sight.
It was strange. The spirits usually just shows up and observe. Nothing more just watch her untli she finished lesson and back home. Harlow think it has to do with young Blight's aura. Yet he never explain this to her. But, to be honest, Amity doesn't think she want to know. She doesn't really like spirits all that much.
So, their absence was a welcome change. However, group of spirits wasn't the only surprise she found here. Her mentor was also elsewhere.
"Mrs. Lilith is never late." She pondered the thought.
After several moments passed without a sign of the raven witch, Amity began to walk down the halls in the hopes of finding her mentor. After several minutes of searching, she finally found her sitting out on one of the house's balconies.
"Mrs. Lilith?"
"Ah, Amity." Lilith replied, glancing over her shoulder at the witchling. "I didn't hear you come in. I was distracted, but don't worry. We'll begin our lesson shortly." She said, before turning her attention back to the sky.
Curious, Amity walked over to the raven witch. "What are we watching?"
"My husband and Luz." Lilith replied.
"Who's L-" Amity didn't get the chance to finish as a massive shadow passed over the balcony, gasping in surprise as a huge shape flew overhead.
"Woohooo!" Luz hollered from her spot on Fei's head as the wyvern soared through the air, having taken to flying like a fish to water. After another loop around the building, the wyvern came around for a landing, lofting down onto the same balcony Lilith and Amity were waiting on.
"And that was the end of the heaven dance." Harlow said when he finished banging the song on his tambourine.
"Thanks for fly, Fei." Luz smiled, patting Fei between the ears. The spirits-wyvern let out a happy growl. And then a second later Kayda pounced on Fei's long snout. The Grand Elemental Spirit flinched and was about to throw her off when the wyvern found the dragon curled up in their snout and was nuzzling them.
"Now it's time for Fei to come back to spirit world." Harlow told them.
Fei let him remove the summoning stone as little butterflies slowly made themselves out of its wings. Then the spirit took one final gasp to let themselves transfrom into a bunch of white butterflies. They flew away and seemingly vanished into thin air.
Harlow, Luz and Kayda landed on the balcony. Luz still babling about the Grand Elemental Spirit. Harlow's eyes were still glued to the crystal in his hand. So, the young drake was the one who noticed the witchling.
Amity said nothing, watching young dragon as Kayda sniffed her curiously. The dragon was giving her a look that was maddening the girl. Like a guard dog that was trying to decide whether to attack or not. She wasn't intruder.
Kayda growled making Luz and Harlow direct their attention to Amity. The shaman greeted her with a small nod. Luz smiled brightly, as if they had known each other for years.
"Hi. You must be Amity. I'm Luz." She extended her hand. If Amity was surprised by the fact Luz is human, she didn't show it. Her tan eyes looking at Luz from head to foot, and laid on pendant with a keepers symbol.
"You probably don't know it, but only a select few can wear the symbol of the Order of the Keepers." Amity only said, ignoring the offer.
"I'm the Keeper."
"What?" Amity looked at Luz with an expression that was a mix of shock and confusion. She turned to Lilith for confirmation.
Lilith nodded "It's true. The Council of Four personally tested and accepted Luz."
"The first human Keeper, and proud member of Team of Light." Luz said with smile.
"You?" Amity raised a skeptical eyebrow. "Human, who can't use magic."
"Actually, I can do that." Luz accentuated her point by took out a notepad and pen, she drew the magic symbol for the light spell she discovered not long ago and tap it.
"There are so many things I've yet to understand. Magic is the greatest mystery I've ever come across." She said as she held up the orb of light and presented it to Amity. "But that just means I'm going to try even harder to become a witch."
Though Amity was amazed that human could actually perform a spell, it was small compared to what others her age could do.
"So, I hear you're Lilith's student. What kind of witch magic is your thing? Abomination? Illusion? Ba-"
"It's not your business." Amity interrupted her before turned to her mentor. "Mrs. Lilith I'll be waiting in the library, preparing my Abomination."
She said goodbye to Harlow and just left without looking at Luz. Lilith waited a moment and then the witch come inside to find her student and start the lesson.
"Have I said something wrong?" Luz asked haltingly.
"No." Harlow sighed, as if he didn't want to say the next bit, but he had to. "Amity just... You know. I'll explain it to you over tea. Do you like Reishi Mushroom Tea?"
Author Note: Amity is finally part of story. In the next chapter she and Luz will have a little talk.
Also I decide to name a place where Katrina and her parents live, the Čudoduh Valley. From Bulgarian, чудо (čudo), miracle and дух (duh), ghost.
