(A/N: Wow, are we really at Chapter 7? Looks like we're making real progress. But I'm not one to keep you guys in suspense. I'll get this chapter started for you on the double!)

It was February in the city of Petropolis, and love was in the air. Even more so at Keswick and Claire's place, since they got married last Valentine's Day. In fact, this chapter focuses on them, so let's head on over to their place!

It's nighttime now, and Keswick and Claire were in bed. Claire was reading a romance novel, but Keswick was thinking. It wasn't surprising that Keswick was thinking about having a family of his own. Learning that Kitty and Katrina are expecting children was enough to make him think about being a father. In fact, Keswick had always hoped he would one day become a father, but he wanted to find a woman first. Now he had a wife, but did she even want to be a mother?

At one point, Claire set her book down, having read enough that night, and she turned to Keswick and asked, "Is something wrong?"

Keswick, having been lost in thought, was visibly startled, but he said, "No, nothing's wrong."

"You sure?" Claire asked.

"Okay, I was w-w-wondering something. Have you ever thought about having a f-f-family of your own?" Keswick asked.

Claire was surprised to hear him ask this. It was usually the wife who mentioned having children, and she never expected Keswick to be the one to bring up the subject.

"I used to think about it quite a bit after I graduated from high school, but I never thought I'd get one. That is, until I met you." Claire said.

"You mean, you want to have k-k-kids?" Keswick asked.

"Do you?" Claire asked.

"I'm asking you." Keswick replied.

"For a while, yes. I've dreamed of being a mother and having children of my own. But I didn't want to mention the idea because I was certain you wouldn't be too happy about it. And because you're an alien and all that stuff, I don't know if we'll even be able to have kids." Claire said.

"Do you wanna try?" Keswick asked.

"Yeah. But not tonight. We've got work in the morning." Claire said.

"I didn't m-m-mean tonight, though." Keswick said, blushing.

"I might have guessed." Claire said.

That weekend, they went ahead and tried for a baby. But when Claire tested herself about a month later, it was negative.

"Okay, we'll try again two more times, and if we get n-n-negative results 3 times in a row, we'll have lab-created children instead. How's that?" Keswick asked.

"Might be the closest we'll ever have to biological children if I can't get pregnant." Claire said.

"I was th-th-thinking I might have to resort to lab-created children if I couldn't find a woman who l-l-loves me." Keswick said.

"But you found one. You found one who had parents that knew how to talk sense into your unappreciative mom." Claire said.

"And I'm glad you're the one." Keswick said, giving Claire a kiss, letting her know that she made him happy.

She and Keswick did try again the following week, and when Claire tested herself, they got the results they were hoping for.

"It's positive! We're going to have a baby!" Claire exclaimed in happiness as she and Keswick looked at the pregnancy test.

"You're... pregnant?!" Keswick asked, shocked at the results.

"Yeah!" Claire said.

"I'm gonna be a... d-d-dad?!" Keswick asked, still stunned.

Claire nodded, too happy to speak.

"And going down..." Keswick said as he fainted.

"Aw man. How am I gonna get him up?!" Claire asked, not too happy.

"I'll help." I said, appearing out of nowhere with a defibrillator at the ready.

"I don't think you're going to need that." Claire said, referring to the defibrillator.

"You never know. CLEAR!" I yelled.

But before I could use it, Keswick awoke and shouted, "I'm gonna be a f-f-father!"

"Okay, I guess I'm not needed." I said.

"Amanda! What are you d-d-doing here?" Keswick asked.

"I thought you'd gone into cardiac arrest when you fainted, so I came here to get your heart going again if that was the case." I explained.

"No, I'm fine. I just can't believe that she's p-p-pregnant." Keswick said.

"Neither can I, and I'm writing this story! Well, either way, I've got to go and get back to writing so you kids can celebrate the good news." I said, and I disappeared.

Keswick and Claire were silent for a moment as they tried to figure out what to do next.

"I've got to call Mom and Dad. They're gonna be so happy!" Claire said as she pulled out her cell phone and dialed her parents' number.

"I guess I'd better n-n-notify my parents, too." Keswick said as he produced his own cell phone and called his parents.

As expected, Claire's parents were thrilled when they heard the news.

"That's wonderful, sweetie! We're so happy for you!" Claire's mom said.

"I can't believe it! I'm gonna be a grandpa!" Claire's dad exclaimed.

As for Keswick, his parents, to his great surprise, were quite happy with the news. But then he figured that he knew why they were happy.

"Don't tell me that you're happy because you now have someone who might think about becoming a d-d-doctor." Keswick said.

Keswick's parents were floored. They were not expecting him to say that, but they figured that since he hadn't wanted to be a doctor, and his wife wasn't a doctor, maybe they could try and talk his child into becoming a doctor someday. Unfortunately for them, Keswick suspected that they might try that.

"No..." Keswick's mom said.

"Good. Remember what Claire's parents said about l-l-letting your kid make their own choice. As long as it's not b-b-bad and could get them in trouble." Keswick said.

"We know. Sorry about that." Keswick's dad apologized.

"Good." Keswick smiled.

When they went to T.U.F.F. the following day, they announced the news, and everyone was happy for the couple.

I bet we all are, but that's as far as I'm going with Keswick and Claire right now. The farther we go, the closer we get to the birth of Dudley and Kitty's children, and the next chapter will get back to Dudley and Kitty! Stay tuned!
