Authors Note
So! This is just some small quickly written drabbles and oneshots inspired by scenes from TV and movies, along with other forms of media - such as memes, tiktoks, youtube videos etc. More tags will be added as needed.
You don't need to have seen the original source, as I'll be explaining the scene in the drabble itself. This is literally just someone small for me to do when needing a little boost to get past writers block for my main multi-chapter stories.
I have a few other ideas for one shot collections based around a theme - the other being taking cliches from Bade fanfictions and putting a twist on them; not a parody, but making it so it turns the cliche on its head. And then another being AU oneshots and ideas that I've had but know I won't likely be able to make into an actual story due to lack of inspiration.
It was a fairly normal Monday morning at Hollywood Arts. The gang, plus Trina but minus Beck and Jade, were sitting outside at the Asphalt Café, at their usual table. It was nice enough day that sitting outside until classes started had sounded like a pretty good idea.
"Where are those two? If they're late to first period again, they're going to get more detention." Andre stated, peering out towards the parking lot, hoping to see his two best friends on their way in. And they would come this way. Not only was this the entrance where you passed the JetBrew Cart, but Jade refused to use the main entrance of Hollywood Arts, ever. It went past the Photography class rooms and they seemed to have a creepy fixation on photographing Jade anytime she walked past.
"They'll be here, and it'll be seconds before class. You know them, they probably just stopped in the parking lot to fool around in the car." Tori wrinkled her nose a little – like seriously, did they have to be that all over each other? She got they were just back together so it was all sunshine and roses for the pair, but they still could tone it down a bit; Tori was fed up of turning to ask one of them a question and instead finding them making out with one pressing the other against the nearest vertical surface.
"Oh! Here they are-" Robbie cut himself off as he stared at the approaching duo, Beck's arm slung around Jade's shoulder and her no doubt having her hand slipped into his back pocket.
The rest of the group followed his gaze and froze in shock and horror. Because Beck looked normal – perfect hair, perfect boyish smile, scuffed combat boots, artistically worn out jeans, a black vest and a grey and black flannel shirt.
Jade however, whilst her combo of 'combat boots, fishnets and black kilt type miniskirt' was normal for her, on her top half she work a v-neck, long sleeved, lace decal'd pink shirt. The entire group watched with wide eyes as the pair approached them but didn't look like they'd be stopping.
"Coffee." Beck tossed over his shoulder as they passed the table, heading towards the JetBrew Cart.
"Oh. My. God." Tori whispered once the couple was out of ear shot.
"Jade's wearing pink! Jade's wearing pink!" Andre exclaimed, eyes wild as he looked around at the equally shocked friends. "What the hell is going on?!"
"Are-Are we sure it was pink?" Tori asked desperately. "Maybe it was originally white but got covered in the blood of a slutty cheerleader or a motorcyle crash or something?"
"Or maybe it wasn't actually Jade with Beck! Does Jadey have a twin?" Cat asked, tugging on her hair, her puppy dog brown eyes wide, her face a mask of confusion.
"Uh-uh. If Jade had a twin, she'd have eaten her in the womb." Trina replied, shaking her head, and as weird and gross as it sounded, it also could be true; like Jade would ever allow the spotlight of her birth to be shared with someone else.
"Wait, wait." Robbie interjected, the only one not still in shock. "How come none of you teased her about it?"
"It's Jade. She's scary." Andre replied bluntly, shivering a little. Because Jade truly was terrifying when she wanted to be – and if someone was teasing her? Heads would roll.
"You guys are unbelievable!" Robbie gasped, shaking his head. "I once wore a jumper that had like, purple stitching on the cuffs and collar and you guys called me 'Mr Grapes' for two months!"
"Oh god! Mr Grapes!" Trina cackled, and the others joined in with badly hidden giggles. "I forgot about Mr Grapes!"
"If I wore pink, you'd all tear me to shreds!" He whined, now annoyed at himself for reminding them of the nickname.
"Yeah, but you'd look like a My Little Pony with a puppet." Andre replied with a smirk, tugging one of the wild curls that sprouted from Robbie's head.
"Yeah! Or like, like, the school's putting on a production of Grease, and you're playing a pink lady!" Cat giggled, happily accepting Trina's high five for the insult
"What are we all laughing about?" Beck asked as the pair reappeared, both of them holding coffees – Jade's being an Extra Large, Beck just going for a Medium.
"If Robbie was wearing pink." Tori supplied, and Beck let out a burst of laughter as Jade smirked.
"I get it, that's hilarious." She stated with a sparkle in her eye.
"What is going on!" Robbie exclaimed, jumping to his feet in frustration. "Jade is the one wearing pink!"
Her smirk instantly disappeared as she took a step towards Robbie, slipping out from under Beck's arm. "Yeah? What of it?" She growled, her eyes narrowed.
Robbie gulped, realizing the danger he was in. "Uh...nothing. It's just...it's gorgeous. I wish I could pull that off."
A smirk came back onto Jade's pouty lips as she took a long sip of her coffee, aware that the entire table was waiting to see what her reply was. "Dream on, Strawberry Shortcake."
There was a snicker around the table, before Beck piped up with. "Yeah, nice try Mr Grapes." Which caused the rest of the table to howl with laughter, Andre practically howling 'Mr Graaaapes!' at the top of his lungs.
And with that, Robbie tried to make himself as small as possible on the bench, as his friends mocked him with a nickname he'd unknowingly reminded them of – other than Beck, who seemed to remember it all by himself.
