The appointment was a low-key and boring ceremony near the coast of Lisbon. A bit of lip service, a few signatures, and, finally, a life ahead.

Shortly after, the wedding came. Much less intimate and informal than the one we planned in the past, but official after all. Anna dressed as a bride was absolutely stunning, but nothing compared to the charm she had in one of my oversized shirts, a bit of mud on her legs, and a tangled half-undone bun.

The wedding night was a restful night of deep sleep after a tiring day, but neither of us cared; somehow, we knew that our real wedding night would be the one that happened the day we continued with the wedding that we didn't get to celebrate on the small island where it all began; the ceremony in which we would truly express our love, our devotion, and our gratitude. Although I must admit that I quivered when I was flooded by her excited look while I was putting on the wedding ring. That was the beginning of our reality.

"So you are not going to stay at Arendelle?" Elsa asked as she watched with red eyes as we loaded the carriage with the luggage that we were going to board. "You know you are welcome here, right?"
"I'm sorry, Elsa," Anna said hugging her tightly. "but our place is there. It was always there."
"Are you going to be alright?"
"We know how to get around the place, don't worry."
"I know, it is just that… I am going to miss you."
"I'm gonna miss you too."

A few rivers of tears later, Elsa broke the hug and shook my hand vigorously.

"I entrust her to you, Kristoff."

"I'll take care of her more than my own life."
"Come back every now and then, okay?"
"Of course."
"All right, go now. I can't stand goodbyes."

We both nodded sadly, and while I checked that Sven was ready for the ride, Anna got into the carriage.

"Gross! Did you just eat reindeer slime?!" she exclaimed between horrified and amused when she saw how I shared a carrot with Sven. I guess it wasn't that difficult for me to bite it before my buddy.
"Regrets?" I replied with a laugh as I proudly showed her my wedding ring.
"Never."

A wide smile of satisfaction was drawn on my face at her words and I jumped into the carriage eager to recover my life next to that woman.

"Ready?"

She smiled gleefully and I shared her sentiment. The woman I had longed for so much was next to me, legally, with nothing to stand in our way. We went to our island, to our little corner, to make our lives our own way. That happiness, that look that we were sharing… I knew that they would never be lacking in my life.

And then, those sacred words that got us united, reached my ears from her sweet voice for the last time.

"Kristoff, take me home."

...

"Morning… The sun is shining in the sky and breakfast is waiting."
"Five more minutes…" "You've already had ten."
"Ten more…"
"As you wish, but Keldan and Liv have discovered where you hid the chocolate Elsa sent you last week."

"It's okay, they don't reach there. I put it high up."
"When I came to wake you up they were running to tell Eir."
"No! My chocolate! Get out of my way, Bjorgman! This is war!"
"So much trouble sharing chocolate with your children?"
"Shall we talk about your secret stash of carrots?"
"That's completely different, they are for sharing…"
"If they eat my chocolate, I'll give them your carrots."
"Hey!"
"They need healthy food."
"We only have healthy food here!"
"So maybe it's just a way to persuade you. You help me?"
"You go for the eldest and I'll go for the twins."
"Deal! Oh! Good morning, honey."
"Good morning, Anna. Love you."
"Love you too."
"Go to get them?"
"Charge!"
