Kurt Wagner, AKA Nightcrawler, slept outside under the stars. Not knowing his life was about to change. He'd been through a lot these recent years with the rest of the X-men. However, he and his sister Rouge were still having issues after she 'killed' their mother.

He'd felt bad after the final battle Rogue dismissed her again, even when she'd apologized. While Rogue still wanted nothing to do with their mother, Kurt couldn't say the same. Especially not after having to endure at school more bullying from their mutant-hating peers.

Rolling over, he wept a silent tear. Unbeknownst to him? Several ghostly orbs were approaching him. These orbs were the souls of lost children. Feeling the only way to move on was to help another lost child. Over a dozen orbs merged with the blue mutant. His dreams consumed their memories and emotions. When he woke, he realized what they were seeking to tell him.

The departed souls of children helped him gather the strength he'd needed. Determined, he went to find his mother. Regardless if Rogue wanted a relationship or not with Mystique? He wanted his mother in his life. He finally found her posing as an actress in a theater. They both apologized to the other before hugging each other.

It'd been a long, arduous journey for both of them. And each was entitled to some long overdue happiness!

An Exercise in Self-Love

Instead of criticizing who you aren't? What if you spent time focusing on what makes you extraordinarily rather?

Write a list of 25 qualities or physical traits that you love about yourself. Then, take all the time you need until you fill-up the list.

No judgments are allowed. When you finish, read it aloud before tucking the list away. Set a reminder to reread it.

Repeat this exercise monthly. There is no such thing as too much self-love!
