With Bruck gone, there was nothing stopping her any more.

Wait. Scratch that. Something was stopping her: the label she gained as One of Bruck's Friends. Force, she could almost hear the capital letters when someone said it, especially when the speaker was Obi-Wan.

"Listen, you nerf! Bruck was never my friend. He just hung out with me in the hopes that I would help him with his 'saber skills." She sighed at Obi-Wan's shocked look. She shouldn't have said that. It was probably better if they had a wall between them, but the deed was done and she feared what would become of this.

"Oh," was the only thing Obi-Wan said. But then his features relaxed into a grin. "I guess he didn't learn much, then."

It was Siri's turn to look shocked. Did Obi-an just make a joke? No. She didn't believe it. The corners of her mouth turned up into a smile and she barked out a short laugh before she caught herself. Schooling her features back into something resembling serenity, she couldn't help the twitch of her lips. She gave in and grinned.

Obi-Wan smiled back. Yes, they could do this friends thing. They could do it quite nicely, regardless of Siri's fear of the future.
