"That… that bitch ancient one." The elite mage said to himself.

The memories of the earlier part of this battle came to light. They got cocky and complacent. The brass lied that this would be easy and we believed them but it wouldn't be until the Ancient Ones interfered in their conquest, disabled their gravity manipulators, and now they were being massacred.

Then the ground exploded, no… they attacked from the sky he was sure of it. The bombs hit his golem completely destroying it, and trapping him in the process.

He tried to pick himself up but his golems cockpit was pinning him. He was pretty sure he would suffocate soon.

Then the sound of rhythmic thumping stopped periodically for something he didn't know. But it got closer slowly but surely they would arrive at him.

Then he heard someone say "Tāgetto wa sudeni daun shite imasu. Pairotto o ima sugu dasu hitsuyō ga arimasu." He didn't understand them at all but he knew it was something. He was sure they would kill him.

But he didn't plan on going out without a fight. He then heard a clunk like something being attached to his golem, and then the piece pinning him started to come off. Slowly but surely.

His pinned lungs gasping for more air, when the top came off he jumped up. Knife in hand.

He led out a war cry "For the Fatherland!" He used whatever mana left inside him to increase his physical strength and speed. He also used thought acceleration to slow down time to increase his reaction time.

The soldiers were barely moving, although to himself he was moving at a slow walk, he charged at the enemy soldier, knife slicing through his neck like butter. Blood splattered.

But a small pointed object came running at him, it was a cone like structure. Followed by three rhythmic booms. He quickly dodged. He charged at the next soldier and attempted to stab him, but he felt a searing burn on his leg, immediately afterward he couldn't feel his leg, and he promptly fell on the ground. All the whole his thought acceleration disabled.

Then a metallic object cuffed his hands preventing him from fighting back, then he blacked out.

"Raptor 12 what's your target's status? Over." Raptor 01 asked.

"Raptor 12, reporting. Target Beta was destroyed during the bombings. When we removed the armour, the pilot jumped out and moved unnaturally fast. Took out one of our men but we took him out. But is still alive, and is losing blood fast. Requesting Aerial Medevac. Over." The leader of Raptor 12 reported.

"Copy, over." Raptor 01 responded, the leader of company 2 of the Raptor Battalion turned his attention from the medics tending to the enemies wounds then he heard a whooping sound, it was silent then the source came into view. 6 V-107 CH, escorted by attack helicopters and Black Birds.

"This is Valkyrie 01, I heard you guys need a medevac." Said Valkyrie 01.

"We do need medevac, we have POW that's bleeding and he'll probably die soon. Our medics are trying to do everything they can to keep him alive." Raptor 12 said.

"Confirmed, we'll come by for landing soon and have them prepared for aerial transport."

After another minute of waiting one of the Chinooks landed, with medical personnel rushing out with a stretcher. They quickly put the POW onto the stretcher and then got onto the Chinook with their own injured personnel. The Chinook then took off in the direction of the base. The wreckage was another priority.

Meanwhile at another part of the battlefield of Takami Lake Takanashi meets an old enemy he fought hours earlier, the one that massacred his tank battalion. Code named target: Alpha.

This one was the first one to make contact with the JSDF. It was also the largest out of all of the three targets and naturally considered the most dangerous. But it was also the only one that remained standing.

But that meant it was vulnerable and impractical it's large size would prevent it from being able to chase them and would subsequently be outranned.

"Target: Alpha is still standing. Sniper squad in position?" I asked over the radio.

"Negative, we're still at least five hundred meters away from our den." Reported Arrowhead 01.

"Damn it!" I silently cursed to myself, "alright new orders, we are to attack the enemy to buy time for the Anti-Material rifle marksmen to get into position." I ordered.

"Yes Sir!" I heard over the radio, then everybody sped up. When the battalion was within 100 meters of the target every single gun opened fire.

There was a combination of A.P and H.E rounds in the guns belt of every single humvee, every single humvee was ordered to not go slower than 100 Kilometers per hour all the while firing. They also fired RPGs at the enemy but all it did was either miss or leave was burn marks and nothing more.

Then humvees of the first Raptor squadron did a circling movement, preventing the enemy from hitting them. But that didn't stop the enemy from trying, a massive hand fell on top of Raptor 02 but they quickly swerved out of the way.

Then a voice boomed, loud enough to be heard over the guns and explosions. "Why don't you barbarians just roll over and die!" The person in the vehicle said aggravated, then a large gaping hole was formed in his armour.

"Arrowhead 01, was that you firing at the enemy?" I asked.

"No, we're still 50 meters away from our nest." Arrowhead 01 reported.

Then suddenly a girl with white hair appeared in front of my vehicle, but just as fast as she appeared, she disappeared.

But it was clear she was on the enemy vehicle and it was very clear he was a sitting duck. But we still fired.

Then the sound of a helicopter was heard, the sun was slowly rising. Many people would be waking up to go to work, so it was important to get this over with as fast as possible.

"Raptor Squadron, do you need any help?" Valkyrie's leader asked.

"Yes but be careful. It seems like there's another force that's hostile to the current enemy. We could consider them allies for the time being." I reported.

"Acknowledged, Valkyrie squadron prepare for modified anti-tank combat."

"Arrowhead squadron is in position. Preparing anti-material rifles." They reported, then seconds later a loud explosion was heard, and then a second later the forearm of the enemy vehicle came off.

Then 5 seconds later another round hit the enemy in ur e leg preventing it from standing up, the attack helicopter attacked where the anti-material rifles rounds hit causing more damage to the beast.

Eventually the enemy was completely immobilized and we could finally remove the armor.

On the inside of the cockpit there was no one, or none that we could see, but all of the sudden one of my men's throats started to spill blood.

All under a matter of seconds he went from standing perfectly normally to being dead.

All my men quickly went back to back, "Where the hell is he?" One of my men asked, fate didn't look kindly to him as he was stabbed.

Then something stocked me harder than a bullet, he was invisible. I pressed my hand against my ear and activated my mic.

"The enemy is invisible!" I yelled over the mic, then the mic copied what I said. There was a down side to invisibility is that if no light hits your eyes you wouldn't be able to see, you can hear so the enemy is most likely relying off of sound, and as expected no one was attacked other than the humvee which was scrapped by a knife.

"He's at the humvee, fire at the humvee!" I ordered, then just as fast I ordered all my men fired at the humvee he was near.

Large volley of bullets hit the humvee but didn't stop until blood started to pool around the humvee. Then the enemy body appeared.

"Shiro, and Aka you're with me." I ordered, we then started to cautiously move closer to the body, a full magazine loaded into our type 87 Towa rifles.

Me and my men just stared at it for a second, after confirming it's indeed dead I gave the go ahead for the Valkyrie Squadron to land.

"Valkyrie Squadron you are cleared to land, I repeat you are cleared to land." I said, then seconds later 2 V-107 CH landed, multiple medics came out and one of the Chinooks put the dead body in a duffel bag and promptly put it in the helicopter. It then took off while the other Chinooks attached themselves to airlift the wreckage out. Along with the ruined Japanese and American tanks.

3 Days later

Takanashi residence Tokyo, Japan

When I opened the door to my suburban home my son came running towards me, "dad!" He happily said, putting me in a bear hug.

"Hey kid. How are you doing?" I asked him.

"I'm good." He responded, then my wife Rosa came by.

"Honey, I thought you were training up north with the Americans?" She asked.

"There's been a change in plans recently. Apparently there was a volcanic eruption near where we're training so the military was forced to change the place where we're training with the Americans." I lied, but Risa saw right through me.

"You're lying, I can tell, there's bags around your face. You were training, but I can also tell you're hiding something, like that girl who's hiding behind the corner of the walkway." She said.

I turned my head where Sora was hiding. "There's no need to hide Sora, my family doesn't bite." I asked Sora, then she came around the corner, and into the house.

In her hands was the teddy bear, the only thing that remained from the bombed out wreckage of her home.

Risa's eyes sharpened and it was clear she was going through many different possibilities of why I knew this little girl, and why she was with me. While my son stayed silent.

"I would like to ask you why you're with her?"She asked me.

I sighed, "I would like to talk about this privately." I asked her.

"Alright," she responded.
