The Aftermath of The Murder of Professor Ernest Plum:
It was judgement day for Dr Pam Orchid who was a doctor who specialised in plants at the George IV Manor on Pavilion Gate and was now on trial for murdering Professor Ernest Plum who was a resident there.
"I'd like to call Dr Pam Orchid to the stand" said the barrister.
Pam made her way to the stand.
"Dr Orchid how long did you know Professor Plum for?" he asked.
"About three years" she responded.
"You were angry with Professor Plum why was that?" queried the barrister.
"He was carrying out experiments that I'd already carried out and pretending they were his own work!" Pam said.
"I see!" said the barrister.
"Could you kindly tell the court what happened that night?" requested the barrister.
Pam nodded.
"I went into the kitchen to prepare Professor Ernest Plum a cup of coco which is his regular drink before he goes to bed. Before giving it to him I entered the cellar where all the harmful substances were and got the bottle of cyanide and put a large pinch of it into the coco and stirred it in. After that I headed to the library where he was at the time and gave it to him" she told the court.
"Thank you Dr Orchid" said the barrister as Pam was escorted back to the defence box accompanied by a prison officer.
After the defence and prosecution barristers had given their closing statements. The jury went and deliberated their verdict.
The next day dawned
"Could the defendant please stand" said the usher.
Pam stood up.
"Could the foreman of the jury stand" the usher asked.
The foreman of the jury stood up.
"Have you all reached a verdict that you all agree?" the usher questioned.
"Yes!" said the foreman of the jury.
"Do you find the defendant Dr Pamela Ashley Orchid guilty or not guilty for the murder of Professor Ernest Alfie Plum?" the usher queried.
"Guilty!" the foreman of the jury responded.
"Dr Pamela Orchid you've been found guilty of the murder of Professor Ernest Plum. I sentence you to the gallows where you'll hung by the neck until death" the judge ordered.
Pam had shown no remorse for the crime she'd committed as in her mind she felt in her view that Professor Ernest Plum had been plagiarising her work so in her mind she had done the right thing.
