Mary Schmidt walks over into the building to find everything mostly back to normal condition, much to her relief. The power seemingly back to top form, the animatronic girls performing as they should, and with customers and human hostesses drinking and eating the day away. Mary couldn't help but smile a little at the restaurant back to what it was a few days ago. However, when she walked into the Office, she saw something that immediately felt out of place. A tape recorder was on the Office desk.

"What the hell?" Mary muttered before grabbing the tape recorder.

Curiosity gets the better of Mary as she plays the message.

"Alright, is this thing on or what? Okay, good. Alright, whoever's hearing this, I got news to tell you. It's about Charles Afton, the CEO of Fredbearina's Caberet and Family Diner. Charles Afton may look like a charming guy on the outside, but his squeaky-clean corporate sheen is only skin-deep. Far from whom the media knows, Charles Afton is probably the closest thing to Lucifer on earth. Why am I saying that? Because it all had something to do with the Vanishings of '83 and '87." The voice in the tape recorder spoke.

"What? Everyone knows Charles had nothing to do with the Vanishings, so why is this guy accusing him?" Mary Schmidt asked the question most people would ask in her shoes.

"Now, that may sound bogus, especially to the CEO of one of the finest businesses in America. But I'm sure everyone knows the supernatural isn't real, or so we believe. So what if I told you that the Vanishings of '83 and '87 were all staged murders? And the person that caused those murders is Charles Afton himself?" The voice spoke his theory that shook Mary to her core.

Mary took a moment to take everything the voice in the tape recorder said. It all started to make sense to her little by little. The fact that Charles Afton's family and friend, Eric Emily, all disappeared when they threatened to close down Fredbearina's Cabaret and Family Diner. And the fact they disappeared on the same night made perfect sense as to how they could've been staged murders. The only thing holding her back from knowing the truth is how Charles Afton himself is a suspect in the Vanishings. Thankful that she paused the message before processing everything, she hit the play button to continue the message.

"I know this is something you wouldn't want to do, but you must go to the furnace room to find the ashes of his long-dead family and friend, Eric Emily. I suggest you do that before the day ends. Trust me. You don't want to let Charles Afton find out, and more evidence of the murders will be in the furnace room that Charles doesn't know. As I said, you only have limited time to do this. So be quick about it." The voice in the tape recorder ends the message.

Mary Schmidt's heart started to pound out of her chest as she speed-walked out of the furnace and into the furnace room. One of her employees noticed her and followed her to the furnace room, attempting to warn her about going inside the furnace room. However, when Mary got to where the furnace was located, she and her employee's hearts sank at the sight of jars filled with ashes at tables near the furnace itself.

"Holy shit..." Mary's co-worker whispered in horror, which scared Mary a little.

"So the guy recording the message wasn't lying..." Her co-worker said.

"You heard the message, too...?!" Mary whispered in shock.

"Yeah, I heard everything the guy said, but I didn't believe it. Charles Afton warned his employees not to go to the furnace room, and now we know why..." Mary's co-worker replied.

"But the jars of ash alone aren't going to expose Charles. We need to find video evidence to leave him convicted..." Mary whispered.

"There's no time for that now. The place is about to close..." Her co-worker replied.

"Damn it... Okay, pretend we didn't see anything..." Mary Schmidt told him.

"Got it... By the way, my name is Ernie Smith. My name will be important once we expose Charles for everything he did to his friend and family." Ernie revealed his name to Mary.

"If it means I have to tell someone about another witness, then yeah. Okay..." Mary Schmidt nodded her head in agreement.

She and Ernie speed-walked out of the furnace room and into the lobby, where thankfully, no one seemed to notice them walk in and out of the room. Mary heads back to the Office, but not before giving the nod to Ernie, who replies with a nod of his own. Mary looked at the tape recorder and hid it under the desk, so Charles wouldn't know about it. Feeling the chills running up her spine, she closes her eyes and allows herself to fall asleep, ready to take on her fourth night.
