"Here," said the young Apple and Raven as they each handed the other a gift.

"Oh, you both got something for the other?" asked Grandma Gem as she sat in a chair nearby. When the two got the gifts open, they were surprised to see that they got each other the same ring.

"Well how about that, you got each other the same gift," said Queen Snow White as she laughed slightly.

"But I don't think you'll be able to wear them any time soon," she said while noticing that they were too big for their fingers.

"Then we can do this," said Raven as she used her magic to create a string that looped through each ring, turning them into necklaces.

"As long as we have these, we can think of each other no matter how far apart we are," said Apple as she put Raven's on for her.

"Right," said Raven while doing the same for her. The two then hugged before going on to open other presents.

"Spirit, take me back," said older Apple as she looked down at the ground.

"Are you sure?" asked the spirit.

"I said take me back!" said Apple. The spirit just snapped her fingers, causing them to appear back in the princess's room.

"You looked happy back in those days, so sad that things changed between you two," said the spirit.

"That's Raven's fault, she's the one who never contacted me," said Apple without looking at the spirit.

"And did you try to contact her, after all it is a two-way street, right?" asked the spirit. However, Apple did not give her a reply as she stood next to the bed looking down at the floor.

"But I can't help but wonder where you put that ring," she said before vanishing. After a minute of not moving, Apple headed over to a small vent in the corner of the room.

"I put it here after Grandma Gem's death because I didn't want to lose it," she said while removing the vent cover.

"Can't believe I forgot," said Apple as she held the ring to her chest while falling to her knees crying.
