'At first I felt that I was going to explode. Yes, exploded due to his overwhelmingly forceful strike. But soon, the pain subsided. Then came pleasure. Then a bliss flowed in.

So, I thought, "Why not? This is not a wrong choice at all." No! I think only senseless women who don't crave for him are foolish!

Because once you tasted him, you will never get enough.'

"Are you okay, Eclair?"

"More… or less…" She replied between her ragged breath. "L-lord Suiryu…"

"Don't overexert yourself, alright? Just take it slowly."

"T-that's my plan… lest I let my legs give in…" She bumped her back against a wall, sliding her body all the way down, entrusting her rear to the cold ground. "Agh… That was so intense…"

"Intense?" He quirked his brow and smiled awkwardly. "I wish you don't mean it the other way."

"Is there any meaning other than being hounded down until I cling to my very life to keep my legs running?" She smirked teasingly. "Regardless, for now we are safe, thanks to your amazing stunt."

"I thought that was just an ordinary break out. But sure, they really went for broke." He chuckled lightly. "Anyways, where are we now?"

"Eastern keep's outer wall." She looked at the shaded surroundings, her hand gripping her sword hilt.

"Eastern keep? Is there an escape route through it?"

"Yes. And there is also an armory."

"Are we really resorting to burglary? That doesn't sound knightly at all."

"What do you expect from a person who has been branded as a criminal? I might be a knight, but rather than surrendering, I would rebel instead. I have a goal to achieve." She spoke resolutely, turning her gaze towards the castle with a look that bore dismay.

The strawberry-haired girl before him never ceased to amaze him. From her graceful swordsmanship to her straightforwardness, he found her like a polished diamond among a pile of rocks. To him, she was a new, refreshing source of wonder. The longer he talked with her, the more she interested him.

"Oh, great! How pragmatic! I really like that side of you, Eclair!"

"I am honored to hear your compliment." She smiled, drawing a deep breath while rising to her feet. "I am good to go now. Let's move."

"Okay. Watching your back."

Traversing along the outer wall, Eclair soon found a hidden passage to slip in. Being a castle guard in her rookie days, she knew many nooks and crannies of the place. The gap in the security was large enough to allow their silent incursion until the keep's inner yard. Added with the ruckus Suiryu made that morning and his run in with Eclair, the guards around it were scarce.

However, it probably was also the end for their smooth escape. Now, hiding behind some decorative bushes, they were looking at the obstacle before them that blocked their sole entrance into the keep.

"Tck. Stompers…" Eclair clicked her tongue.

"Uh… Do you mean those guys in super heavy armor? I thought they're statues." Suiryu exclaimed in bafflement.

"They are Melromarc's heavy infantry units. They are chosen foot-soldiers who have undergone rigorous training along their service. Their armors can withstand mid-level magic attacks. You can say that they are monsters."

Their enemies before them indeed looked strong, most were at around level 50. Though Eclair herself was at level 72, those stompers were massively equipped. It would be a suicide if they charged at them.

Still, if there was a gap, Suiryu would rather use it rather than not.

"How troublesome. And there are… Six of them. How's our chance?"

"They are slow, so they need support from magic-casters, either to provide speed buffs or to cover their lack of striking reach. Still, even without support, they are still very tough. I heard that some were even still fine after being hit by a siege catapult projectile. This would be very hard."

"Now that's a real monster." Suiryu dryly remarked, likening it to the time when he saw Saitama received a beating from Bakuzan and came out unscathed. "Do you have any plan? Or another route, perhaps?"

"Unfortunately, the sides are littered with magical traps. It is our strategy to fool any invaders. Those traps can trigger more racket than rushing through those juggernauts."

Oddly, he felt a surge of confidence when he gazed at those armored scarecrow. However tough they looked, he didn't feel threatened at all. He mentally questioned himself over and over, but he was still very sure that he could bring down those so-called stompers, victory assured.

He was aware that in the past, flaunting his ability in front of girls was a part of him. Was this a sign of the return of his old terrible self? That thought made him shiver. However, no matter how long he stared at the stompers, they were still people, bound in soft flesh.

Bunching up all his thoughts, he decided to fight them. After all, fighting is far more believing than just seeing.

"That sounds pretty smart indeed. Even my brain jams to think about any other way around. I'm never a strategist, you see." Suiryu sighed, but then cracked his knuckles. "Alright, then. Since we don't see any mages around, I'll try to force a way. Turning back at this point will be a hassle."

"W-wait, Lord Suiryu, are you going to carve a path through?!"

"Is it impossible?"

"No. But… They are no ordinary knights. They are formidable. Besides, you are still at level 7." She cast a doubtful look. "It is not that I question your extreme combat prowess, but…"

"Formidable, is it?" Suiryu hummed thoughtfully for a moment. "Okay. Say Eclair, how many of them you can defeat if you're at your peak?"

"I would say three is my limit. Stabbing the gaps between their armor and delivering a killing blow proved to be difficult."

"Okay. So that means they can still be injured, right? They're not invincible."

"Correct." She nodded.

"Then we still have many chances. Yeah. I guess I can do that."

"L-lord Suiryu, wait…"

"What is it?"

"This would be dangerous. I think it would be wise to take another route." She spoke, sporting a dubious look with a tinge of guilt.

Suiryu sighed, smiling as he placed a hand on her shoulder. "You've guided us until this safe point. Now, trust your accomplice. I'll come up with something."

She looked another way for a second, passing a faint smile. "I see. Then I will make sure to guard this point. Good luck."

"Thanks." Suiryu left as he cracked his neck, stretching his shoulders. "Now…"

He calmly walked over the stompers, putting on a straight face. He knew very well about the importance of surprise attack, but his sudden appearance itself was also a jolt for his enemies. They almost jumped in their armors when they saw him.

"Wha–!"

"W-who the hell are you?!"

"What are you doing here!? Hey, halt!"

Without heeding their surprise, he walked towards the closest stomper and rotated his body, unleashing a high kick towards the juggernaut's face. The helmet caved in, blood and muffled grunt of pain erupted out from it. The armored man fell backwards, convulsing for some seconds before he lied still.

"UH-O–!"

Before the second guy could gasp, Suiryu's knee had hit his chin. The stomper was sent into a straight-up flight, plummeting down as soon as he reached the apex. He smashed against the ground with bone-cracking thud and armor-denting clang.

The rest of the gang finally made their move, swinging their maces and flails at Suiryu. With minimal movements, he evaded them and retaliated by sending a kick to the stomper closest to him, flinging him to the one at the middle. The two collapsed on top of each other, unable to rise, pinned by the weight of their armor and stunning pain from the impact.

Only two remained. Suiryu dodged another swing and caught one by his arm. He pulled the stomper onto his back and slammed him down, judo style.

"Wh-what!"

The last one recoiled, but Suiryu didn't let him go, closing in on him with a skip. Wasting no chance, he lowered his body to the ground and sent a full, high-up stomp. The last foe shot up into the sky, but Suiryu caught up with him with a mighty leap and kicked him in the stomach. The poor man flew away, a crashing sound soon followed from the keep's wall.

"Whew." Suiryu huffed in satisfaction as his feet touched the ground.

"L-lord Suiryu…" Eclair jogged over him.

"Oh, what is it, Eclair?"

"I…"

She fell silent. Her expression was enough to tell how shaken she was. She fidgeted as he offered a tender gaze. She parted her lips, but no words could slip by.

"I know. That should be shocking to you, but please, just focus on the bright side. We can enter the keep's storage, now."

She drew a deep breath, recomposing herself and breathing out. "You are right. Truly, a hero from another world is beyond my comprehension. I finally have no say to this matter."

"So, it's clear?"

"Yes. Let us proceed."

The pair entered through the main wooden double-door. The keep itself from the outside looked like a stone tower and the inside was not different. The first floor was a plain hall with many doors that led to its inner parts. A large stairway that led upstairs was the only thing that marked its regal impression. They passed the hall and walked straight to a door at the right.

"Um, so what should we expect after this? We're basically entering a part of the castle, right?"

"The eastern keep in particular is an extension of the main fortification. In terms of strategic importance, this part holds less meaning compared to the other main points, so it is usually guarded by rookies. Nonetheless there is still a very old escape route underneath."

"And the armory."

"Right."

"So, you know the floor plan already?"

"Only the surface and upper levels, though."

"Wow. That's cool." He said, astonishment painted across his face. "Still, a place this large without any guards other than at the entrance seemed so off."

"That might be the case. Oh! But I just remembered that this keep is the second training ground, so the regular knights will not come here unless they attend some drills. This place is practically half-abandoned."

"Hmm. Guess I'll just roll with it." Suiryu shrugged his shoulders as they stepped into a moderate-size storeroom. "I see. So this is the armory."

"Yes. Feel free to check them, Lord Suiryu. Please, allow me to gear-up for a moment."

She told him as she vanished to the corner where there were some racks of protective gears. He almost followed her, but when he heard rustles of fabrics, he knew that she was changing her clothes. A short moment later, she appeared in a new outfit. She got a plain black linen shirt, tan-colored trousers and a pair of boots.

"How relieving. At last, I can change into a proper garb." She sighed as she briefly appraised her look.

That was when his eyes suddenly got pierced by her charming figure. The perfection that previously hid under the prisoner gown now laid bare for him to ogle at. His eyes refused to blink.

'Dang! Those are pretty knockers she got there! No… This is so wrong! Please, forgive me, Eclair… You're just too… irresistible.'

Even his brutal serpent underneath his pants twitched at the stimulus.

"Lord Suiryu, is something the matter?"

"Um, well… Knights truly are amazing, huh? They got all they need and everything is neatly organized. My life truly was far from this orderliness." He bluffed, browsing some items on the racks.

"But I believe that your astonishing martial prowess is a result of a long, arduous training. It truly speaks about your fortified resolve in facing agony to achieve strength."

"Do you think so?"

"I do."

"Hmm… You're sharp." He expectantly gazed at her.

"That holds no meaning compared to your combat capability you showed me. It was… shockingly invigorating. And I should expect more extraordinary things from you." She exclaimed, her tone hinting a curiosity he was rather reluctant to discover.

"Okay. Well, yeah. I just hope I won't fail you." He scratched the back of his head, moving to the pole weapons section.

"It would take an entire country to bring you down, I am certain of it." She jested, taking a thin, rapier-like longsword from the display.

"Ahaha…" He gave a mirthless chuckle as he grabbed a red-shafted trident. "Wow. Never thought this one's pretty light."

"That is our knight's standard trident. I think it suits you well." She spoke, donning herself in a sturdy leather armor. "You truly have the build as a knight."

"Then should I wear that clunky armor?" He pointed at a steel plated gears with incredulous look. "Oh, please… I'm no fan of heavy equipment."

"Ah, apologies. I think I have overlooked your fighting style." She smiled wryly. "Fist-fighters would always choose light equipment."

As he was still holding the trident, he shot a look of interest at her. She was seriously out of ordinary. Of all things she said, she immediately brought up about his fighting style instead of his superficial appearance. He wished to broach about that topic, but he brushed it off, minding more about their run.

'Maybe next time.' He mentally shrugged. 'Hmm?'

Do you wish to copy this weapon?

'Well, yes.'

A weapon forged and mass-produced by the order of the kingdom. Cheap, simple and robust. A symbol of human supremacy.

The spear on his back magically morphed into the weapon he was holding. He drew it and compared it with the original weapon, feeling its heft. It truly was an exact copy if not for the conspicuous crimson sphere in its blade's shank. He stared at his weapon with a look of bafflement.

"Seriously?" Suiryu's brows bunched up.

"Oh my. Did you by chance activated the wonder of your holy weapon?" Eclair gave a look of awe.

"I guess so. Do I have a better explanation other than this?" He morphed his spear back into its original form and returned the trident to its place.

"I see. Then why don't you try with the others as well?" She gestured at the polearms on the racks.

"Good point. Besides, I steal nothing."

"Even if you steal, does it still concern you when they belong to your enemy?"

"That's the more reason for me to take everything from them." He smiled rather deviously.

"Then go ahead." She encouraged with an easy smile.

"Here goes nothing." He began rummaging through the weapons on display.

Melromarc Knight Halberd acquired!

Melromarc Knight Bec de Corbin acquired!

Melromarc Knight Bill acquired!

Melromarc Knight Pike acquired!

Do you want to check them?

"Not now." He shook his head.

"It truly is a miracle to have such a holy weapon. You can change your spear into any polearms in your store at any given time." She exclaimed, staring at the weapon Suiryu was holding.

"I could've agreed with you if this thing doesn't stick to me all the time. It's such a bother to have this kind of absurd spear–Ow!"

A jolt of electricity stung his body. He recoiled in shock, staring at his spear with puzzlement that soon changed into a face of unfurling rage.

"Freak! Are you kidding m– OW!"

"Lord Suiryu!"

Refrain from insulting this holy weapon of ultimate grace! A dirty womanizer like you should be grateful that you earn a second chance to be a saint hero! Now redeem yourself!

"Dirt–! This… Tsk!" He glared at his spear.

"Lord Suiryu, a-are you ffine…?" She hesitantly asked.

"I guess. But I never know this spear has such a curse that bites its wielder."

"Um, do you mean it has an ego and freewill to even harm its master?" She turned towards his spear in bewilderment.

"Precisely. How annoying." He averted his gaze tiredly, noticing the golden sun ray that descended through the window. "Regardless, it's going dark soon. It's incredible that no sign of those guards tailing us here. What's our next move, Eclair?"

"Let us find the secret passage. Although unfortunately, I only have a vague guess about its location." She said, casting a troubled look.

"It's okay. Let's go." He replied, offering a reassuring smile.

"We should also keep in mind that the knights garrisoned in the city will be guarding our possible escape routes. They will be waiting along the roads. However, I suppose with your strength, that is not impossible." She cracked a wry smile as they slipped out from the armory.

"So, rather than chasing us around the castle, they block the way out, huh? They've assumed an intruder would run. Clever." He remarked, switching his weapon into the halberd.

"That is the oldest, but also the most successful war tactic we have applied. Any trespasser naturally would retreat once their force achieve their aim."

"Well, true. I'd also thought so if I were in their shoes."

Suiryu slowed down his pace, ruminating over the chance of their breakout. Facing armored units and cavalries was not a worry, but mages had proven to be the real threat. He really had tasted it firsthand. He hesitantly turned to Eclair, who was ambling ahead of him.

"Eclair…"

"Hmm, what is it?"

"Do you know any way to deal with mages?"

"Um, dealing with magic-casters?" She cocked her head, brow furrowing slightly.

"Yeah. They're a true pain in the rear."

She ceased her steps, humming thoughtfully. "Pardon for my rudeness, but does it concern with the fact that our foes so far are regular knight units?"

"Yes, a part of it. Though…" He looked another way, scratching his head in discomfort. "You see, I could reach the prison because I got blown down by a shooting magic ray, like a golden pillar. Those guys in robes and mage hats sure are scary."

"Wh-what?! L-lord Suiryu… Y-you survived against such a strong spell like [Judgment]?!" She stammered, her eyes widening.

"Is it that deadly?"

"Lesser men would have been obliterated into a pile of charcoal." She grimaced.

"Really?"

"Certainly."

"Man… Guess my luck plays in a different way, huh?" He glanced at his spear with exasperation. "Still, do you think it has something to do with me as a Spear Hero."

"That is also possible. The Cardinal Weapons are divine artifact that hold unfathomable power. Only summoned heroes who could possess them. That is why you should never lose your confidence as a hero." She gave a radiant, encouraging smile.

"Ah, thanks. I think you're right. Ahaha..." He chuckled lightly.

'Damn. This girl is seriously so sincere that she flusters me often. I feel uncomfortable with that.' He inwardly sighed as they traversed deeper through a flight of stairs, going underground.

"Oh, right. And about your question, magic-casters are considered strong if they can defend themselves on their own." She spoke as she lit a lantern.

"Defend themselves on their own?"

"Yes. With whatever fighting skills in their disposal. Swordsmanship, spear-wielding, knife-throwing, or even bashing their weapons and punching are what make them strong and formidable. Mages who can only cast spells are physically vulnerable. Sitting ducks if people might call."

"So, is that why they commonly play support role?" He surmised.

"Precisely. Although in some cases, mages who are really powerful can cast spells continuously without being bothered to attack their enemies physically. They recite incantations incredibly fast and their magical attacks inflict immense damage. But our chance to meet that kind of mage is as thin as a chink in an armor. They are extremely rare."

"I see. So, the key is outspeed them?"

"Yes. Subdue them before they can even finish their incantation."

"That's simple."

"Indeed. What poses the problem is the people who protect them. Breaking their formation or sever their chain of command is a common tactic to defeat them."

"Hmm. Thinking about it again, that's actually not as simple as it might sound." He nodded, turning to her. "I guess I need your help when it comes to this."

"Oh, worry not. You can count on me." She replied confidently.

"Thanks, Eclair. I'm looking forward to it."

After passing through some meandering dark corridors, they arrived at an old waterway system. Eclair said that there should be some mechanisms that hinted the escape routes, but what they found were an underground reservoir and a sealed tunnel. Deeming that diving into the water to find the missing path too dangerous and time-consuming, they stuck at the tunnel.

And that didn't seem to work, either.

"What a grave mistake. I have led you to a wrong path." She muttered bitterly as her hands were tracing the walls.

Eclair desperately rummaged any signs of magic lock mechanism around the place. Her effort was futile, however. Suiryu who tried his best to help her also couldn't find any. Unlike her, he didn't lose his composure.

"Couldn't be helped. The last hing they want is letting any rats come and go through a hole."

"I am aware of it. Cursed!" She slammed her clenched hand to the wall. "To let my savior fall due to my foolishness!"

"Hey, I'm still alive, Eclair." He told her with deadpan look.

"Oh! Apologies, Lord Suiryu!" She tore her gaze away. "But I should have expected they would block this place. This is a fatal oversight."

Seeing her cursing herself, he genuinely felt sorry for her. He realized that her life as a knight should be harsh and straining, demanding strict discipline. He glanced at the wall block that covered the tunnel and breathed out quietly. Nothing could he offer except some fresh water they took from the clean reservoir to sooth her.

"Calm down, Eclair. Here, have a drink." He offered a waterskin to her.

"… But, Lord Suiryu?"

"Oh, come on. What's a pain in taking a break? Let's sit down and talk about this." He plopped down to the cold floor and she followed suit.

"… Thank you, Lord Suiryu." She opened the waterskin's plug and took some small gulps.

"Better?" He raised a brow as he smiled.

"I feel much better. Thank you very much, Lord Suiryu." She gave a relieved smile in return.

"Good. Now let's think about this with cool head." He began, leaning his holy spear over his shoulder. "Let's see… Do you perhaps know where this tunnel suppose to lead?"

"I believe this network would lead us to the city's sewage network."

"Sewage network, is it? Good. Then I trust that good judgment of yours." He nodded, tapping the sealing wall with the tip of his trident. "Then, well, you know I'm new to magic. So, is it possible to

reinforce a wall with magic?"

"Magic is used to some degrees for strengthening walls, but its array of mechanism is very complex. The effects also often wear off easily, making it a less viable option when building fortifications."

"Okay. Then what do you think about this wall? Can a magic with destructive firepower break this?"

She stretched her arm out and touched the wall. "I sense no presence of magic, so this is a mere ordinary wall. I suppose that is possible."

"I see. Then what about physical attacks?"

"A monster with immense strength like a dragon can destroy this blockage easily."

"Okay. So it's an honest ordinary wall, huh? Looks thicker than normal one though. Now, let's try to be a dragon." Suiryu smiled as he rose to his full height, cracking his neck while flexing his arms.

"Wha–! Lord Suiryu, you don't mean to…?!" Eclair staggered as she shot a shocked look, glancing from the wall to Suiryu.

"This is just a bet. We've got this far and I don't like to rush through a wave of people again. Let's give it a shot." His reassuring smile grew wider as he placed his spear onto his back. "Now, would you like to give me some space?"

"Ah…" She hesitantly moved aside to a safe spot.

"All right. Here goes nothing. HMPH!"

He initiated his signature attack, channeling the flow of his inner energy through some mighty stomps, cracking the floor underneath. The closer he stepped towards the wall, the stronger the tremor from his steps. He reared his right arm and slugged it forward, releasing the built-up power that accumulated in his fist.

冥躰震虎拳
"[Void Shivering Tiger Fist]!"

He uttered the name of his move as his fist collided with the concrete's face. The energy that reverberated upon impact traversed forward, traveling like a tidal wave, shaking the materials' integrity. The swirling energy crushed the compounded materials of bricks, plasters and stones until it reached the threshold – the other side of the wall, blasting it. Following a loud boom, a hole as large as a car appeared, the dispersing dust announcing its presence.

"Oh, it works!" Suiryu cheered as he waved off the dust.

"Ugh… Ah…"

Eclair got a blank look on her face, her mouth agape. Undoubtedly, the sight perplexed her. Her teal blue eyes scanned the surreal thing, double-checking it. It wasn't an illusion. It stayed there, no matter how many times she blinked. She walked over it, touching the rough edges of the hole. She finally was sure that he really did punch a hole in the wall.

"Well, sorry, Eclair. I didn't mean to freak you out or anything." Suiryu gave an apologetic smile as he stepped over the rubble. "I just thought that this worth a shot."

"… B-but… No. I… How can this be?" She shook her head, trying to comprehend the phenomenon. "What kind of power do you wield? Pardon for my impudence, but… Just how strong are you? This looks like you did not jest with your words. Are you truly a dragon?"

"Nah, that's impossible, right? Look, I'm pretty much a human, Eclair. I don't grow scales, a tail or horns, see?" His smile earned a tint of confusion.

"But that was just ridiculous! The thickness of this wall does not even allow a siege weapon leave a grievous dent. But you just broke it with your fist?! This is…"

He was aware that his ability he brought as a parting gift from his world was absurdly splendid. It even surprised him. However, he didn't have the time to explain it to this dumbfounded lady. They should stick with the original plan, not to mention that the tremor from his stunt might alert the enemies.

"Eclair, let's move. We still have a long way. When we get some free time, I'll tell you about my [Void Fist]."

"O-oh." She followed him, walking into the path beyond the ruined blockage.

"That's far smoother than I thought." Suiryu exclaimed, drawing his trident from a freshly killed red giant rat.

"Indeed. The monsters in this sewer also posed little threat. This means the guild is truly committed to the given duty." Eclair spoke, waving her lantern around.

"Guild?" He flicked his weapon aside, ridding off the blood.

"Yes. Guild of Adventurers. Oh, I am so sorry. I shouldn't think that you already know everything we know."

"It's alright. But since I'm sticking with you, I can ask you anything." He waved off his hand.

"Well, true."

"Guild of Adventurers, huh? Sounds like in movies and fantasy storybooks." Suiryu's lips bent into an amused smile.

"Um, movies?" Eclair cocked her head in confusion.

'Boy Guess we're just the same. Fellow foreigners.' He thought, weaving some words to explain to her in the way she could understand. 'Besides, I think I'd feel bad if I don't tell her a little about movie.'

"Oh, well. Back in my world, there are many kinds of entertainments. One of them is movie. You can say that it's a form of drama in which the audience doesn't need to come. They can watch it any time and at almost any where. And, yeah. Many movies tell stories with settings like the world we're in now."

"R-really? That… should be amazing. That means the art and poetry level of your world is much higher than mine."

"Well, you can say so."

As their light chat went on, the pair had finally reached the end of their long trek through the sewer. No drainage-dwellers came into sight and the foul air gradually grew fainter. Before long, they found a way for the exit through a tunnel, a rusty broken gate hung limply as its mark.

Turned out, it was one among many entrances into the least hospitable place in the city.

"Of all places, I never thought that it would bring us to the most hostile part of the capital."

"Is this a slum?"

"Yes. The black Rose avenue. A heaven for all kinds of shadiness of this city. The stubborn fester of our country." She stated grimly, batting her eyes vigilantly at the ruffias that lurked about the shabby street. "And the night unveils its true vile color."

"Hmm, that doesn't seem nice at all." His eyes also never ceased to scan the surroundings.

"Unpleasant, indeed."

Lecherous leers and hateful gazes hailed them. Under the pale shine of crescent moon above and faint light from rowdy brothels they passed, they kept their quiet walk. Should a disturbance not come their way, their journey would have been a silent pilgrimage, no risk of drawing any attention.

But, well… Life always has surprises, even when we are always prepared for the unexpected.

"Ow."

"Whoops, watch your steps, big guy!"

A scrawny thug bumped Suiryu from behind. He shot a dirty frown at him before he left.

"Hold on, lil' dude. Careful where you place your hand into." Suiryu grabbed the urchin's head before he could leave.

"Fuck! What do you think I– "

"Hands off." Eclair rammed her sword's pommel to the thief's sternum.

"–Ghuakk!" The thug bent down in pain, writhing above the ground as he held his chest.

"Wow."

Suiryu even couldn't help but stare at her in astonishment. She truly was merciless. He came over the scrawny thug and rummaged through his cloak, taking his stolen belonging.

"This is the last I can get for tonight. Try anything funny and my wench will skewer you." Suiryu threatened, waving his coin pouch playfully.

The purse-snatcher glared dagger at him as Suiryu went back to Eclair. The pair wordlessly left, ignoring the knave's murderous gaze.

As they resumed their journey, Suiryu glanced at his new companion. She got a faint blush and a longing smile on her face. It surprised him, but he managed to keep it to himself.

Because judging by her look, she appeared like a spellbound maiden.

'But really? I did nothing.' He shrugged in exasperation.

"… A hero's woman." She mumbled, so silent that he heard nothing.

"Are you okay, Eclair?"

"Huh!?" She snapped out of her reverie. "Oh, pardon. Did you ask me something?"

"Well, yeah. Are you alright? That was quite harsh of you? Uh, the way you beat that thug, I mean." He gave a wry smile.

"Oh, the hoodlum was it?" She tilted her head, finding the knave was scampering away. "In a place where strength rules, imposing violence is the best way to escape from trouble."

"That sounds like you often went here."

"I did."

"Oh. Maintaining public order?"

"Yes. Mostly catching some violent bandits. And subversive noblemen, some times."

"Wow. That's pretty cool."

"I suppose so. But that was in the past." She threw a sullen look at the cobblestone road.

As their conversation came into an awkward halt, some blokes who had been tailing them began announcing their malicious presences. They emerged from the street corners and alleyways. They surrounded the pair, brandishing all manners of weapons befitting that dismal place. Each thug sported a crazed grin the moment their eyes landed on Eclair.

"Evenin', missy. Care to join us? We've plenty o' fine spirits."

"Yeah. Think it as our nice treat, rather than spending your time with this stinky brat."

"Right. Oh, come on, ain't it a waste if you just mingle with that shit?" One thug came over Eclair with a lecherous grin as he reached out her pink locks.

"Don't touch me!"

She drew her sword before the fool could blink. In that instant, she swung her blade, severing his arm before his filthy hand grasped her hair. Suiryu widened his eyes and whistled as the arm fell to the ground with a quieting thud.

"… Ah… Argh! AAAARGHHHH! MY ARM!"

"B-bastard!"

"Kill that bitch!"

Suiryu turned to Eclair, putting on a serious look. She nodded in response and they sprung into action, charging at the bandits head-on. They made a quick work with the ones closest to them.

Eclair clashed with a guy wielding a khopesh. His swing was wide, but it left a huge opening. She swept in and slashed his collar bone, bringing him to his knee.

"Guaahh!"

She fought the second man, a big, brute of a brown. He slammed his dull battle ax down at Eclair, but she evaded the strike with a sidestep. In that delay as he was going to lift his weapon, she slipped in with a forward thrust, jabbing his lower ribs.

"Agh.. AGHUAAAHHH!" The man roared as she spread the shallow stab to the side.

"UGHUAKK… ARGHHHH!"

"UGHHEEEK…!"

"AH… AHHH! M-MY EYE…!"

As Eclair's prey fell, Suiryu knocked down three men with a knee strike and swift high kicks. The first let out a scream of utter agony, clutching his chest where some fractured bones of his ribs jutted out to his side. The second was knocked-out cold upon getting the kick. The other one held his left, hollow eye. His hysterical cry grew louder when he saw his eyeball rolled by his foot.

"HAAAAA!"

Another burly man rushed at the pair. Suiryu turned around and delivered a backward high stomp, obliterating the guy's lower jaw beyond repair. Eclair sent a finishing blow, slitting the man's throat with a swift horizontal slash.

"N-no way! M-monster…!

"R-RUUUN!"

Arghhh!"

The spectacle of the big thug's blood gushing out like a geyser from his neck horrified the last of the bunch. His two compatriots managed to run, but his legs betrayed him, failing him in his direst moment. The pair they called monsters advanced toward him, chasing him slowly like evil wraiths.

Yet, the expression on Suiryu's face told more of a confusion rather than bloodthirst. Eclair's actions seemed excessive in his eyes.

"Um, Eclair, is it really okay to kill them?"

She jammed her blade into the man's chest, putting a brutal end to his nightmare. That was more than enough of an answer for Suiryu.

"Ah. I guess we should never spare mercy for these punks, huh?"

"Yes. They have killed countless innocents. This bunch in particular has stirred some riots outside their territory. They slew people brutally without remorse. Well, we have put bounties on their heads, once." She explained solemnly, staring at the crimson liquid that painted her blade. "Even their death would never be adequate to pay the lives they had taken. Woe upon their souls."

Suiryu fell silent. He was still foreign to the common sense that ran in this world. But in this place, strength reigned absolutely. He knew it as a fact. He then realized why those nobles acted high and mighty upon seeing their supposed saviors. He understood their contempt toward the Shield Hero.

'Because they think they're strong, they despise the weak,'

"Is something the matter, Lord Suiryu?" Eclair called, staring at him with concerned look.

"Yeah. I'm just surprised that this world is so different than mine but also similar at the same time."

"Oh, really? I wish you can regale me with stories about your world." She gave an eager look.

The trace of strain on his face loosened, his complexion softening. Her sincerity truly was a nourishment for his parched soul. He even fell into a comforting numbness that his gaze went rather intense, prompting her flustered look to emerge.

"Um, Lord Suiryu?"

"Ah… Sorry. I was spacing out." His stare shuffled around the place. "Now come to think of it, I'm starved."

"Oh, in that case…"

As if in agreement, a ravenous growl escaped her stomach. She glanced at her belly and her cheeks slightly turned red. Suiryu in response smiled in sympathy, protecting her pride.

"The sooner, the better." Embarrassed, she averted her gaze towards one of the fallen bandits. "Gentleman, would you kindly lend this poor lady some pocket change?"

"F-f-freak! As if I'm gonna give you any! Argh…" The one who lost his arm spat, gnashing his teeth in stinging pain and humiliating anger.

"Um, can we just leave them be? I think they've got what they deserve. Besides, my coins haven't gone anywhere."

Eclair for a moment hung her jaw. She stared at him in a mix of perplexity disapproval, but it soon changed into a smile.

"I see. How merciful of you. I think you are right. Any more than this and I would become a bandit. Thank you, Lord Suiryu."

"Eh? I didn't mean to… Oh, well." He gave a smile of surrender. "Alright. Shall we head to a tavern?"

"Yes."

Morning came and Suiryu reunited with Eclair at the corridor of the inn. They went out from separate rooms, weapons on their persons. They were ready for their journey after a good night rest.

"Yo, Eclair. You look really fresh." He waved his hand. "I'm happy with that."

"Thanks to you, Lord Suiryu. The dinner was very good and I truly have an excellent rest last night. This momentary respite has replenished me. I will make sure to repay your kindness."

"Nah, don't think too much about it. We're traveling companions. We share what we have."

"That sounds like we are adventurers." She lightly chuckled.

"I guess we are." He took his pace, walking slowly to match her trot. "It's fortunate that we could find a decent inn near the urban edge, thanks to you."

"Ah, I am merely quite familiar with this part of town."

"Still, that saves us." He looked around the place the moment they reached the bar downstairs. "Okay. Shall we talk about our plan today over breakfast?"

"Yes."

They headed to the quiet tavern, glancing at the cozy place. There were some adventurers who were having their breakfast, but most tables were empty. They took the farthest at the corner beside the window where they could see the street outside. As soon as their order arrived, they dug in silently.

"Ahh~." Suiryu wiped his lips with the back of his palm as his off-hand put the mug down. "So, what's our plan?"

She furtively peeked at the street through the window and saw a group patrolling knights. "The knights are in high alert. Until the shift change when the farmers take an early break, we cannot slip out from the capital. The main gate must be heavily guarded so we should stay low while we secure some provisions for our travel."

"That sounds pretty bad. Any alternatives?"

"I am afraid that it is our only option." She shook her head, but stopped abruptly as her eyes widened. "Wait a moment. Do you perhaps have a plan to break through the wall?"

He smiled. "Nope. But since you say it, it's actually not that complicated. After we get our rations and whatnot, we can just scale up the wall."

Without doubt, Eclair's eyes bulged. It lasted for a second and she quickly regained her composure.

"… I don't have doubt over your combat prowess, but scaling up a wall that high…? It is not a simple feat. Not to mention that there are guards stationed around the bastions. They would notice us before long."

"I understand your doubt, but this time, I'll make sure that it will work."

Eclair had a blank look on her face. As a morning breeze caressed her, she gazed distantly at the horizon, her stare impaling beyond the green thicket in the distance. She slowly turned around and looked upwards, leering at the yellow stone brick wall. She turned to Suiryu and parted her lips.

"Lord Suiryu, just what are you?"

"Huh? Me? I'm a human. Uh… A spear hero now."

"Back at the general store, I thought that you would really use the rope for climbing the wall, but you just simply leaped skywards, clawed into bricks and bounced down here without even alerting those drowsy guards. All while carrying me on your back. Can a human do that?"

Suiryu scratched his head. He actually didn't really care about how his body could unleash that inhuman feat. All he knew was people who had tempered their bodies beyond limit through training or artificial enhancement would be able to do that. That was a common law of his world.

Looking at her demanding expression, an idea sparked in his head. She sure was perceptive, but that fundamental question was as illogical as the existence of magic.

'If I should be honest, how can those guys shoot a laser just by praying?'

"Alright. Now, Eclair, can a man fire a flame ball from his palm?"

"If he knows magic, it would be possible."

"Right. I guess that's just how my body can do this."

"Is it true?"

"Unluckily, that's my only answer. Because back in my world, strong people could do that. And there was no magic."

"I see. Then that explains why you are unbelievably strong." She nodded despite showing a hint of dissatisfaction over his answer.

"I'm not strong. Those mages could have killed me if I wasn't lucky."

"But you survive. So I think people of this world are pathetically frail compared to you." She quipped.

"You're the one who said it. Not me, okay?" He stepped back, hands raised for signing his riddance over the insult.

"Ahaha… That much is true. So… Let us prove until how far you can take it." She began to walk away from the wall.

"Isn't that my line? Oh, well." He followed her, leaving the base of the capital's wall with high spirits.

After leaving the capital, the Spear Hero and the former knight trod a road that cut through a forest. It was a common road people often use to travel. They occasionally met some young adventurers along the way and merchants riding their wares-laden carriages. So far, there was no sign that the knights attempted any chasing. They were safe.

Around evening, they reached a junction. One was the main road while the other led to a remote village. They took the smaller road, following the wooden road sign while hoping that they would reach the village before nightfall.

But, boy, how wrong could they be when they noticed that they walked deeper into a dense forest. As the sun was setting and the sky got a blush tint, they found the path looked more like a hunting trail rather than a road.

"Are we lost, Eclair? I got a bad feeling about this."

"Bandits. This might be the case. They confuse unassuming people like a group of merchants or rookie adventurers. Since they knew this place like the back of their palms, expect an ambush, soon." She told him, her frown deepening. "Forgive me. It is due to my fault that we fall for this simple trick."

"Not a problem. We'll just smash them. Think of it as an exercise." He drew his spear, morphing it into a bill.

Before long, the awaited guest star came. Judging by their appearance, they were pro highwaymen, mounted on either horses or on raptor-like lizards. Their attires and weapons looked well-maintained, unlike city thugs.

They didn't attack the pair, however. They circled around Suiryu and Eclair, their weapons trained to the ground. To Suiryu's surprise, Eclair loosened her guard. It appeared that she knew the man on a black horse who acted as the group's leader.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Dame Saeotto. How long has it been? A year?" The man greeted, pulling down his cloth mask to reveal his surprisingly prince-like face. "I'd never thought that the once feared Her Majesty's guard would fall prey to this simple trap."

"Regulus! What business do you have over here? And to think you would take a disgraceful path, what kind of thing have you been through, Beast of The West Gate?"

"Oh, unfortunately, that is a thing I intend to tell but a little. You surely know very well about the mercenary's most basic etiquette, don't you?"

"Do not dig into one's past. I see. So you have flung your honor away in the wind in exchange of some measly cash. How unfortunate, indeed."

"True. I wish I could lament on this fate a little longer." Regulus theatrically held his face, looking skywards. "And I see that you have a dependable guardian at your side. Hmm… Don't tell me you decided to elope and left your country in disarray."

"E-elope!?" She stammered as her face turned red. "O-of course not!"

"Chief, I think this unnecessary banter has taken our precious time." One of Regulus' henchmen shot a reprimanding look. "Would you like to stop it?"

"Right. Don't wanna destroy this reunion, but it's going dark soon." Suiyu spoke, stabbing the ground with the butt of his halberd. "You wanna fight or just say hello?"

"Ooh… How fierce! Verily, crossing blades with a man like you sounds interesting, but… to honor your charge, I would hold myself from doing so."

"Is that so? Then our conversation ends here." Suiryu shrugged.

"Yes, but before we part ways, allow me to give you a little treat." Regulus rummaged the satchel on his horseback and threw a bundle to Eclair.

Eclair caught the item and opened the cloth. "What is this? A wine?"

"Think of it as a gift from your old friend. A gift for your wedding, of course." Regulus said, prompting Eclair's furious blush. "We still have a mission to complete. Then farewell. Off we go, friends!"

The group left them. Thus their meeting ended as fast as the run of their horses.

"Seriously? What kind of guy is he?" Suiryu stared at the direction Regulus and his men were headed to.

"He is a man riddled with enigma, as far as I know. His career in knighthood was bright, but he was also well-known as an eccentric person. Perhaps his choice to become a wandering mercenary is caused partly by boredom."

"Do you mean he has so much free time?"

"I am not sure." Eclair shook her head. "There should be something else."

"What a weird guy. But he doesn't strike me as a bandit."

"I agree with that."

When Eclair was going to put the wine into her burlap sack, a silvery plate the size of a chocolate bar fell. She picked it up and her eyes widened.

"What's that?" Suiryu probed.

"A traveling pass. Moreover, this one is issued by Zeltoble." She frowned, examining the metal plate. "So he invites us to visit that country of merchant and mercenary."

"Are you going to take the offer? Sounds suspicious to me." Suiryu spoke, scratching his chin as his eyes landed on the foreign inscription on the plate.

Eclair for a moment fell silent. By no means, the mysterious man was never a true traitor. He was a simple man, far from rotten plots. She knew a news that he bailed out from the order due to some dispute with his higher-ups and fled the country not long before the Wave struck.

If he were so inclined to kill her, he could have done so the moment they met.

Although she was certain that Suiryu wouldn't stay put should Regulus strike.

"Weirdly, I don't think it as a bad offer. Zeltoble is a neutral country, ruled by money. We can use it as a stepping stone before we can reach Her Majesty."

"Are you sure about that? It's like you make your decision on a whim."

"Probably that is true, but that country allows us a degree of freedom. Well, I heard that people can even make a name and rake in fortune without rousing the suspicion of their original country."

"I know this is weird since it comes from me, but that's just too good to be true. Imagine, a place where you can earn fame and money conveniently. There should be a price to pay. Like… something that will bite our rears so hard at the end of the day."

"About that…" Eclair averted her gaze awkwardly. "I also heard that assassinations happen almost daily. When deals go bad and a party holds grudge against you, expect a backstabbing."

"That's what worries me." Suiryu sighed. "Still, if you're really sure to go there, I'll stick with you."

"Thank you, Lord Suiryu. Your companionship is a priceless thing I wish to cherish." She smiled in gratitude.

Suiryu glanced at the sky and let out a quiet huff. "It's dark already. We can't reach the nearest village."

"Let us cease our journey for today and find a clearing. Settling in a camp is not a bad idea, I think. I wish you don't have any objection with it, no?"

"Of course not. Camping, huh? How long has it been?" Suiryu got a nostalgic look on his face.

They traversed the hunting trail further and found a nice spot. After they dropped their meager belongings, Eclair gathered some dry sticks for the fire while Suiryu collected any edible items like mushrooms. In his short hunt, he got a pair of rabbits and found a creek not far from their camping site. As soon as they returned, they started fire and roasted the mushrooms and rabbits for dinner.

"Th-this is delicious! I am surprised that roasted rabbit meat can be this good! And the mushrooms are also tasty!" Eclair exclaimed after chomping down her share vigorously. "You really are a good cook, Lord Suiryu! As expected of a hero!"

"Hey, for once, I lived in the mountain, you know. All these skills are thanks to my strict grandfather's teaching." He nodded in satisfaction, smiling in amusement at Eclair's stuffed mouth. "I'm glad you like it."

She wiped her mouth with her palm. "I see. Your grandfather must be a great man."

"Right. He's the one who taught me martial arts."

"Martial arts? Does it include the skill that allows you to skip the city wall?" She asked curiously.

"Yeah. [Void Fist] is such a powerful martial art. Back in my world, it saved my life many times."

"Hmm… I see. After I think about it, your fighting style indeed looks extremely foreign to me. Rather than using your spear, you rely on your kicks."

"That's because it still feels weird whenever I want to use it." He brought his spear in front of him. "Like how you're not used to a new motorbike."

"Mo-to-bike?" She cocked her head in confusion.

"Um, no, no. I mean, it just feels plain weird. That's all."

"Weird, is it?" She nodded and a beaming smile graced her face. "In that case, would you mind if I give you some pointers in wielding it? Although my main weapon is a sword, I also learned to wield pole-weapons. This is the least I can do to repay your kindness."

"Oh! That'd be great! I'm looking forward to it!"

"Hahaha… But I hope you wouldn't complain if you find my shortcomings as an instructor. Rookies regarded me as a strict mentor."

"You'll never know until you try."

As they finished their humble dinner, Eclair took out the gift from Regulus. It came with a pair of wooden mugs. She hesitantly looked over it, but soon made her mind up after looking at Suiryu. It would be too funny if his mighty build was meant for tame beverages.

"Lord Suiryu, are you into drinking?"

"Drinking? Well, I actually more into the lighter ones, but if it's just a sip, I think I can handle it."

"In that case, would you like to have one or two swigs with me?"

As Eclair poured the thick crimson liquid into the mugs, his eyes slightly narrowed. His nostrils picked up a fragrance of a unique fruity aroma. It was tempting, but the whiff itself could make his head churn already.

'What the hell! This isn't just your everyday wine! Is she really gonna drink that?!' His mental scream leaked through the grimace on his face.

"This wine is processed from Rucolu fruit. And this one is well-matured, so the taste should be exquisite. I hope this is to your liking, Lord Suiryu." She informed before he could even ask.

"Oh, I see." He responded with a mildly hoarse voice.

"Here." She offered the mug.

"Thanks. Hmm… What a fragrance."

She noticed the listlessness on his face when he took it. Her brow creased in concern when she eyed him.

"Is something amiss, Lord Suiryu?"

"Um, no. It's just that…" He trailed off, his eyes jumped at the darkening sky. "So many things suddenly flood my mind."

"Ah, I see. Well, it is true that Rucolu wine is very famous because it often brings back old memories, both sweet and bitter ones, just like its taste. No wonder that people often call it Maiden of Memory. Although, others would name it with foul calls like Mindflayer or Witch of Oblivion." She explained, an easy smile adorned her face.

"Really? Wow. I thought this is just a plain strong wine." He swirled the mug.

"Yes. Strong, just like you."

"Me? Strong? Oh, come on, Eclair… I'm still far from that."

"Don't be so modest. Being chosen as a wielder of a Cardinal Weapon is a proof of your might."

"Yeah, that may be right, but I hope you're not overestimating me."

"No. You really are strong."

"Heh! You really reminds me of someone I know from my past."

She chuckled and raised her mug. "Right. See? The Maiden has shown us its wonder on you."

"Oh, maybe you're right." He also raised his mug, his smile growing faintly stiff.

"For our successful escape. May we earn more bountiful success in our journey!"

"Cheers!"

He clacked his mug with hers. She immediately downed her mug as he briefly paused, glancing at the purplish red liquid.

'Suiko will laugh out her guts if she knows I cannot chug this down. Ugh… It's not like I exchange the sakazuki cup, right? Well, here goes nothing…'

He gulped the content of his mug. The exotic fruity taste passed his taste buds for a moment and the rest seemed to mesh into oblivion once it drowned his throat. The numbing heat burst throughout his body, sending a stinging jolt that smacked his senses down.

The former Super Fight champion lost to a single gulp of otherworldly wine.

"Haaah~! Lord Suiryu! How was it?! Huh…?"

Eclair's question hung in the air when she saw Suiryu remained still, his spiky bangs covering his eyes. As his figure didn't move before the crackling fire, the wine also hit her. She felt a little bit dizzy. That was when he stood up all of sudden and took a step to her.

"… U-uh, Lord Suiryu?"

He didn't respond and went closer to her. When she got a glimpse of his eyes, they only revealed a pair of whites like those of a man being possessed. Her hand was about to reach her sword, but his mighty hands grabbed her arms. He pinned her down into the ground with his weight, hissing at her like a beast, literal steam blew off of his breath.

"AAHHHH! L-LORD SUIRYU!" She yelped. "S-STOP! GET A HOLD OF YOUR SELF!"

However, it was futile. He ripped open her shirt, revealing her invitingly voluptuous chest. What she remembered afterward blended like a blur as Rucolu smothered her consciousness, keeping her half-awake while a new kind of palpitating pleasure hammered her over and over.

Awkwardness.

It was probably the best word to describe the situation he felt at that moment.

Right after waking up, they fidgeted about on their sitting spots as they found themselves deprived of any raiment. They for sure knew what had just happened. They even could see the trails of their act, scattered about the ground as well as over their bodies. But neither of them could utter a word. It lasted for quite a while as the moon crawled up higher in the sky.

In a fit of confusion and shame, Suiryu decided to leave Eclair with a dash and plunged himself into the creek nearby. Nothing could cool his head and wash away his sluggishness except a cold night bath. It cleared his muddled mind, somewhat.

As he savored the chill that soothed his muscles, he ruminated about how the event had transpired. His expression went grimly bitter the moment he recalled a certain brown bottle. The rattling wrath wrung his facial muscles into a scowl.

'Fuck that booze…!'

Yes. Rucolu wine was just too much for him to handle. Drunken masters from his old world would probably agree that it was three times more intoxicating than the world-renowned Dragon-Slayer Sake. No wonder that he conked with just a sip.

And beat the hell outta her meat in his sleep.

As his thought went into a swirl like the water that streamed beside the rock he leaned his back on, a sloshing sound that grew louder came. When he tilted his head to his side, he saw Eclair was standing in a daze, still clad in nothing.

"Um, Lord Suiryu…" She started, slowly approaching him.

"Eh… Eclair… No." He tore his gaze away. "Please, I hope you–"

Before he could even warn her, a pair of warm hands held his cheeks. He came face-to-face with her, so close, and she pressed her lips into his. It was tender, yet it carried a strength, so strong that time felt like freezing. She broke free from him, parting a silver thread. Her eyes were hazy while her cheeks were red, but a bright smile floated on her face.

"Everything is alright, Lord Suiryu. You should never worry about this."

"Eh? Um, I don't get it, Eclair? Actually what is this all about?"

She dipped her slender body beside him and leaned her back on the same rock. "If you still think that I am mad about how you assailed me, please banish such thoughts. You have no right to blame yourself."

Suiryu's eyes shot wide open. "Eclair, even if I was sleeping, I was the one who attacked you!"

"That is true. But I feel grateful. I say it from the bottom of my heart. Because the one who took me is a hero, a savior I have been waiting to set me free from the cold clutch of the jail."

For a moment, he felt like his jaw hit the bottom of that creek. The idea that a genuinely dignified lady felt happy after she got drilled by a passing ruffian was just too surreal.

"No, Eclair. This doesn't sound right. I–"

"If you still feel that you are guilty, please just think that this is a little payment I can give you for saving my meager life. Surely, my chastity is but a measly offer." She retorted, her smile never wavering. "Otherwise, you can think it as a seal for our contract."

"Eclair, seriously…?"

"I am serious, Lord Suiryu. You might think that I am a disdainful woman. A courtesan, serving a man's base need. But this is the true self that I have been hiding. I am but a lowly sow in a desperate need of a man! I joined the order of the knight in hope to find a suitor! A strong one who can satisfy my dark desire! And you… are the man."

"Eclair…"

Suiryu was at a total loss. He never thought that she caged a savage pet in her person. And she truly wished to unleash it. However, it was the thing that made her look more tempting in his eyes. The longer he gazed at her, the stronger she drew him in. She was like a shining vortex. Violent, radiant, yet mesmerizing.

And his flesh pike responded in concurrence, grandiosely emerging from the water. Like a haughty obelisk, its tip challenged the moonlit sky.

"Now, use me whatever you like! You are my benefactor, so do not hold back!" She advanced boldly and coiled her arms around his neck. "Now, look! Your sacred spear has proudly stood up to support you! Do not betray him, for you are the Spear Hero! You exist to pierce all manners of defense! Think of your action just now was a mere rehearsal for this moment! What art thou waiting for!?"

His surprise kept on stacking. He almost couldn't believe it, but after he saw her, she truly looked excited, shockingly. The look on her face was like a kid who giddily waits a present from her parents. Was she always like that? He couldn't answer, but if she was okay with that, he would just do it.

After all, that wasn't his first time. No! He was one hell of a greedy fiend when it came to this, back in his world. This was like a mere walk in a park. This time, what made it special was this lady who could make his mind collapse as his heart flutter.

'Shame for a guy who refuses a dish served for him. Oh, Eclair…'

"Heh! Really, Eclair! Of all beauties I found here after I was brought back to life, you're the only one who catches my eyes! Maids, adventurers, noblewomen, ordinary townsfolk and even that redhead princess… They're nothing compared to you!" He exclaimed, holding her slim waist and pulled her closer. "Rejoice, I'll take your request for real!"

"Oh, how very sweet of you, Lord Suiryu! Now I feel like I can do everything for you until this body can no longer serve me!"

"Don't say that, Eclair. It feels like you're saying that you'll die as a happy girl after this. As if I'll allow that!" He smirked as the heat of that moment revved up his carnal engine. "Let's just take it easy, alright?"

"Ah, you are right. Then shall we start?" She impatiently asked.

"Here?"

"Yes. We have done it above ground. Now, let us become one with the flow of water around us." She suggested as a wild smile floated on her face.

"Oh, Eclair…" He kissed her passionately as she dropped her body onto to his, water splashing around them. "Make sure you don't catch cold. Cause you really are irresistible!"

"Oh, Lord Suiryu, make me yours! Ahn~…!"

Author's Note

Yeah. Ero, finally. :-3

Suiko's need to consume alcoholic drink for drawing out Void Fist's true potential might imply that the martial art is based on the Drunken Fist. And the manner Suiryu stabilizes himself after he got punched by Garou on the second season of OPM OVA eps. 4 confirms it.

Hope you like it. Let me know what you think about this. Thanks for coming by and see you in the next story. ;-)
