Hiya! A New Pencil has returned to the desk!

I'm glad that this story is getting feedback, and holy cow did the views skyrocket when I uploaded Chapter 2! I know it doesn't mean much, but thanks a lot for reading it and taking interest! I hope you guys enjoy it!

Now onto reviews!

Shadow Tiger24: To be fairly honest, I wouldn't expect OMORI's influence to be too deep in like Kingdom Hearts will, but it definitely will influence the story. But like I noted at the end of Chapter 1, MHA's storyline isn't gonna be changed that much from canon.

Wizardwolf 1020: Sora is still in his KH3 attire, considering this is right after his fight with Yozora. Though I suspect once KH 4 rolls out, canon Sora's just gonna have that KH4 outfit for without a good reason for why his old attire is gone. Who knows, Sora's KH 4 outfit could just be his "disguise" in Quadratum.

blueassassin996: Yep, Sora only has access to three summons for the time being. As for Sora bumping into that individual, I wouldn't guarantee it'll be anytime soon.

Captain Imaginat: I'm gonna say it, Captain. You have a great idea in making the Disney Villains the antagonists again, and I mean it. However, I will remind you that this is my story, and though I love the suggestions, this story is one that I envisioned already, and I wouldn't expect everything in this story to be how other people hope it will turn out. Not every story can satisfy everyone's expectations fully. Besides, where's the fun in reading a story when you already know the ending? Seeing how descriptive your last review was, I'm certain you can make a good story out of that on your own, and I bet it will look great when you write it. But like I said before, and I hate to sound rude, but this is my story. If this doesn't work for you, then I'm sorry. I hope you'll find a story that you'll love and which meets your expectations if you choose not to continue reading this one, though I do hope you enjoyed reading it when you did.

Guest: To be fairly honest, nobody saw it coming in terms of OMORI. I do hope you'll like the inclusion of these characters into the story. As for Sora's loss in power... you'll just have to see how much he's retained, if he was able to retain any of his power at all.

Blazer777: Thanks for the heads-up, and it's totally okay for sounding rude or straightforward like that when picking up mistakes. There's bound to be a hiccup in every little story, even my own. Since this is my first story, I'll try my best, but if there are more hiccups and misuse of words later in this story, and it gets to an unbearable point, just let me know. Reviews like yours remind me that no story ever starts out perfect, whether it be a misuse of a word or a waste of a character.

Zach Flare SOLDIER Class S: Don't worry, Zach. I understand your concerns, but just know that Izuku isn't gonna be irrelevant in this tale. If it weren't for him, My Hero wouldn't be what it is as a story, and if you count out Sora's adventures in Pooh's storybook, he's never (as far as I know) taken the role of other Disney protagonists in the Kingdom Hearts series, and follows each world's characters throughout their adventures instead of replacing them (You can correct me if I'm wrong). So again, you have nothing to be concerned about. Izuku is NOT getting sidelined.

With the reviews set in stone and responded to, let us continue this journey into A World Beyond!

"Underline" is when a character is speaking Japanese, and a lack of one is when the character is speaking English.

I do not own Kingdom Hearts, My Hero Academia, OMORI, or any of its characters.

Chapter 3: Stronger Bonds

(Play: KH Union X OST: Before the Daylight)

Three days.

Three days had passed since that fateful night when Sora crashed onto the world called "Earth", and much has happened since then.

Sora still slept in the tree over those three days, and he had gotten used to it. When he came back to sleep in it the second time after he saw the beautiful view, he noticed a couple of creatures in his spot, but he didn't mind, and looked for a different branch. He wasn't as rude as to interrupt one's sleep unless it was an emergency. Well, unless it was Riku or Kairi.

The next few days were eventful in themselves. Sora had decided to visit Faraway Library later in the day, deciding to look around the city of Mustafu first. It was, as he said before, a beautiful city. There were many buildings, enough to rival the number in San Fransokyo, but they weren't on the same technological level. A lot less… advanced… Hiro would say.

Sora noted that the city itself was huge in general. He had only explored a small part of San Fransokyo while he was there, and that took him a WEEK to do so. There was still more of the city he hadn't explored. He assumed that the same thing would happen in Mustafu, so he would take his surroundings a bit at a time.

On the first day, Sora decided to explore a bit more, making the decision to find a map first and foremost. He saw many apartments and houses along the way, but despite his search, he came up empty handed. Thankfully, he found what he was looking for at Faraway Library, and Mari was super helpful when he asked for a map. Now he wouldn't be as lost as he would've been.

He also ran into Aubrey and Basil again in the library, and this time they brought Kel along. It didn't take long for the two energetic boys to become friends, talking about the small things and Kel even introducing a drink called "Orange Joe" to Sora. Although it had an… interesting taste, Sora at least was able to tolerate its sweetness. Aubrey complained that there were two big idiots that they had to look out for, but Basil defended both of their cases, saying that at least they could at least lighten the mood, to which the pink-haired girl wouldn't deny.

Sora learned from Kel that his brother Hero was more of the favorite in the family with all his achievements, and admits that it's starting to weigh on Hero, hence why he's trying to find out what he loves to do, and why he's so interested in cooking. Sora was once again glad for Hero for making the choice. Kel offered a hangout over at Sunny's when they all had time, and Sora happily agreed to that, wanting to get closer to Mari and her friends. Mari even helped him figure out some of the ups and downs of Mustafu, even explaining that U.A. High, a high school here, was mainly famous for its Hero Course, and people who desire to be Heroes would try their luck with the Entrance Exam. Sora would definitely have to try that out.

The second day, Sora decided to see if there were faster ways to get around Mustafu other than by car. Given the Quirk restrictions, Sora could not use Flowmotion out in public, and though he loved the attention of the crowd, he decided that now wasn't the time since he was still very unfamiliar with the place, so running up the walls would only be reserved for patrols if there were any beings of darkness lurking about.

He did manage to find a beach during his exploration, but it was completely surrounded by junk, something Sora was shocked to see. He hoped that there would be someone who could remove it all. It made him sad to think about if Destiny Islands was covered in nothing but junk, and as much as he wanted to, he chose not to clean the trash in the beach up, worried he might draw the attention of authorities.

When next he visited Faraway Library, Sora then decided to look for information on the history of the world, given that he had a feeling that he'd be here for longer than his many visits to other worlds. Unfortunately, the books he picked out were too dull and boring, and Mari noted he fell asleep more than once, even stating that she saw steam coming off the top of his head, much to Sora's embarrassment. He decided to look at history a little later, because there was honestly too much information in those books.

Instead of Aubrey and Basil visiting that day, this time it was Kel and his older brother Hero. Hero noticed Sora and greeted him politely, and Sora did the same. The two of them easily got along, especially with cooking, both of them exchanging recipes that they promised to try out when they got the chance. His suspicions of Mari and Hero being close were confirmed by their flirting with one another, and Sora pointed that out jokingly, calling them "lovebirds" in the process, leaving Hero flustered but Mari giggling. Kel definitely had a laugh with that one, and he could hear him teasing his flustered older brother when they left.

(Silence)

The third day was more eventful than the other two. That morning, an explosion from afar had caught Sora's attention from where he was at the top of a building, and he quickly rushed to the scene, only to find a criminal that was running around causing havoc. Sora was extremely tempted to jump in and stop him from harming other people, but thankfully, a trio of people came along and apprehended them before anything got super messy. Sora could guess that the three of them were Heroes on the job. One of them could stretch something from their body to tie the criminal up, another appeared to have very large arms, which Sora believed could be stronger than a normal person's.

The third… well… Sora didn't see what the third's power could do. But she definitely was a little showy with her body parts… something Sora didn't really feel comfortable with, but did not question. Perhaps this was a norm in this world, even if it was a bit odd. Though it wasn't the oddest thing Sora had seen (Wonderland was a madhouse in itself), the female hero's actions did make blood rush to his face, and he was forced to look away. He'd never seen any girl that showed off like THAT. Well... other than that creepy lady he met when he first landed in Traverse Town. Sora still had shivers when remembering that moment. It would probably be one of the only times he was glad the Heartless showed up.

When he went to Faraway Library next, he was introduced to a book that Mari said was a favorite among their friend group: The Lord of the Rings. Sora had only read a few chapters, but it was enough to immerse him in it, as he had never read a book like this one. The adventure, the tension, and the wonder that the world in a book had inside of it captivated Sora so much that he read through every single detail. And this was only one part of the story, which was split into three books! Sora wanted to read it more, but Mari's shift had unfortunately ended before he could read any further.

(Play: KH 2.5 OST: The Afternoon Streets)

Today, he was helping Mari organize books for preparation in case customers other than Sora himself arrived to read or study. Though Sora had seen people come and go from the library to look for a book, only one stayed for at least over 1 hour to study.

"Could you pass me that book about flowers on that table, Sora? It should go over here," Mari replied.

"Okay, gimme a second." Sora ran to the spot, grabbed it, and presented it to Mari, who was on a ladder. She took it and put it back into its proper place. As Sora went over to a shelf to see if there were any openings, thoughts hammered through his mind.

Other than the criminal he had seen getting arrested yesterday, Sora found that there wasn't anything that appeared to be related to the enemies he had fought in his world travels terrorizing the place. Compared to the other worlds he had visited, this world seemed… normal.

It should give him relief. There were no Heartless. No Organization. Nothing from his world had come along with him to terrorize this one. But yet… It felt very strange. Different. He had never come across a world where there weren't Heartless roaming about, and Sora had already proven to himself that Earth was NOT a Sleeping World. Was the light of this world just that bright that the Heartless decided not to appear? Or did this world have something… special… about it he did not understand… that was keeping the darkness at bay?

Whatever it was, it would take some getting used to.

"They'll keep coming after you… as long as you continue to wield the Keyblade," Leon's warning on their first encounter echoed through Sora's ears as he stood there, thinking. He was right… the Heartless would eventually find him or attack this world for the hearts within. Where light thrives, darkness will eventually follow.

The only question was… when?

And when it does… where?

"Sora?" Mari's voice knocked him out of his thought bubble.

"Oh! Sorry!" Sora said, "Are there any other books that you need me to move?"

"Just one more. It's at the top of the shelf… what a bother." Mari said, "This one right here. Hold on… almost got it…!"

Mari was reaching for a book that was literally on the top of the shelf on her tippy toes on top of the ladder, making Sora look on with concern.

"You think I should go and try and grab it?" Sora asked.

"No need! Almost…! EEP!' Mari yelped as she stumbled on the ladder. She had managed to get the book on her fingers, but it slipped and fell to the ground. Sora manages to catch it, while Mari focused on keeping her footing on the ladder.

"Are you alright?!" Sora asked her.

"I-I'm fine! Thanks for catching that book!" Mari smiled at him, "I think that's supposed to go to the children's section. Could you put that there for me while I set up?"

"Okay! I'll be right back!" Sora said.

Mari muttered something about a bad leg, but out of earshot so Sora can't hear her.

As he turned to leave the aisle, he cast a glance at the book he was carrying, and he nearly dropped it out of shock. He stood still, taking another look to see if his eyes were deceiving him.

(Play: OMORI OST: Do You Remember?)

It was a yellow book, but on the cover was a very familiar face. Though he was lacking the red shirt, he was still as Sora remembered him last, but the bright yellow bear that he had met on his first adventure was easily recognizable by the Keyblade wielder. What surprised him the most however, was that instead of himself being on the title with the bear, it instead had a blonde young boy with a white shirt, red shorts, and black boots, sitting next to the yellow bear. The title's name, instead of just the name of the bear, said, "The Complete Tales of Winnie the Pooh,".

(Play: Disney Piano: Winnie the Pooh's Theme Song)

Pooh… Sora thought wistfully, recalling said person in his head, smiling at him with that innocent smile, I wonder how you and your friends are doing. He owed a lot to the silly old bear. Sora had met Pooh and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood on his first adventure, upon discovering Pooh's Storybook in Merlin's House in Traverse Town. Sora had been able to access the world within the Storybook and hang out with Pooh Bear and his friends. It was a nice little break from taking down the Heartless and protecting the worlds when he was first presented with the Keyblade. It helped him forget the responsibilities of a Keyblade wielder, and just be a kid again.

When next he visited, Sora was a year older, and much wiser than he was before. Well, as wise as he could be for someone his age. When Sora had arrived, the little bear stuffed with fluff had forgotten about him, no thanks to the Heartless ripping up the Storybook after snatching it from the hands of Merlin the Wizard. But Sora, along with Tigger, Piglet, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, and Eeyore, helped Pooh remember who Sora was. But immediately after that, Sora was forced to leave again, his mission to find Riku and the King were on the top of his to-do list during that time, so he rarely had time to visit other than to restore the Torn Pages the Heartless had stolen.

The third time, Sora had to reconnect with Pooh again, though this time, it was due to almost succumbing to the darkness and nearly becoming a vessel for Xehanort. He had met a new friend, a Heffalump named Lumpy. Thankfully, Pooh remembered Sora's name, and both of them promised that they'll never leave each other's hearts.

"No going away." Sora remembered himself saying to Pooh. His vision became blurry as he remembered those innocent times.

"Sora, don't forget… We shall always be here. If you'd like to visit again, that is."

Those had been Pooh's last words to him before his first departure. Sora looked at the book sadly. Though it wasn't the same as the book Merlin had in his possession, he still felt a tug in his chest. A desire to jump back into the book and see them again… Every impulse was screaming at him now to open the book, summon his Keyblade, and say hello to Pooh again…

But something told him, deep down, that this book didn't have the same magical properties that the other did. It wasn't the same book… just a product created by the people of this world. Even though it looked like Pooh, even if Sora found a way inside its pages, the Pooh of this book wouldn't be the same Pooh Sora would remember.

Just like with Toy Box. In that world, Sora was a character in a video game. There, he was not really a real person. He could relate that to the situation here.

He wasn't that helpless little kid anymore. He was a Keyblade wielder. But that didn't mean he wouldn't sacrifice some of his time to visit his old friends. Even if visits would mean reading through their life story.

Sora decided to read the book at a later time, but held onto it nonetheless. He still would want to see how this world had portrayed his silly old friend. Right now, he needed to re-read his history again.

Hold on Pooh. Just a little longer, okay? Sora asked in his head.

(Silence)

Sora set himself down on the table, placing Pooh's book in front of him, before going to the History section of the library. Though Faraway Library was smaller than most buildings Sora had seen in Mustafu, it made up for it in its width, which made the place echo-y. Small, but spacious.

"So, how many do you think will come today?" Sora asked, placing 2 history books down on his left and right side, leaving Pooh's book in-between them.

"I'm gonna be optimistic and say at least 3 before my shift ends." Mari replied, organizing the front desk and pulling out a book to read.

"That's pushing it…" Sora teased.

"Hey, a girl can dream, right?"

Sora nods, and resumes his reading. This time, he planned on reading a little at a time, before switching gears and reading the book that Earth made about Pooh for a chapter or two. It sort of worked. At least his brain wasn't fried like last time.

Mari had helped him better read the history books, something he felt would be quite useful if he ever made the decision to return to school…

(Play: KH BBS OST: Destiny Islands)

The thought of school made him tense up a bit. He had not been in school for a while. According to Kairi, he and Riku hadn't been to school in a year. Thankfully, in the little time they had together after they defeated the original Organization, Kairi caught them mostly up to speed with what they were learning, but replied that they would have to become freshmen while she became a sophomore, much to their dismay. She had laughed at that, and he didn't mind. She had a cute laugh.

The thought of Kairi and Riku caused Sora's mind to wander. He looked away from his book. He remembered the days where they had all dreamed of going to see the outside world, their dreams of exploration and adventure, and their efforts to go and make a raft to explore the oceans and maybe find out about the outside world.

Those were the days. Perhaps some of the best in his life back then.

Little did they know what fate had in store for them.

They had gotten what they wanted, Sora thought, but it wasn't in the way they had expected. The three had been separated after their home was swallowed up by the darkness, and because of that day, because of those dreams and desires, and mostly because of his friends, Sora had become the person he is today.

Sora sighed. He missed them. He had said this and acknowledged this more often than not since his arrival to this world, but it still weighed on his mind. He missed his friends.

His adventures were something he would never forget, nor things that he would regret. So many new friends were made on his adventure. So many wonderful people that he connected with. That had been Sora through and through, a boy who has touched many hearts. Now, here he was, on another adventure, ready to connect with more people.

Well, it wasn't much of an adventure as the others, but he was totally fine with it. After a long day of nothing but endless battle at the Keyblade Graveyard, Sora earned these days of rest and repose.

The people of this world will never know or understand how much Sora and his friends sacrificed to keep them safe, but honestly, Sora didn't mind. He wasn't asking for recognition for his actions, anyway. He just wanted to ensure that his friends were safe.

Now, his new mission was to find a way back home. He should probably send another message to them later today.

Wait.

Message…

Letter…

The letters.

(Play: KH 3 OST - 2.9 cutscene)

Sora facepalmed. He had completely forgotten about the other letters sent to him by his friends when he was in the Final World. Ever since the last message, the thought never crossed his mind as he was focused on acquainting himself with this world. He groaned in frustration. What kind of friend was he?

He was about to pull the chest containing the letters out when he heard Mari speak up, "Hey, guys!"

Sora turned around, and smiled widely when he saw Aubrey, Kel, Hero, and Basil walking inside, along with another boy that Sora presumed was Mari's little brother, Sunny. He seemed to be taller than he and Basil were, and the two were around the same height.

"Hey, Mari," Hero smiled, "Any visitors this time around?"

"Other than you guys, 2. Not including Sora," Mari said, pointing to the boy in question.

"Hi guys!" Sora waved his hand.

"Hey, Sora! Good to see ya!" Kel went over, the two sharing a fist-bump.

"There they go…" Sora heard Aubrey mutter with a sigh.

"Gotta say, I wasn't expecting all of you guys to come!" Sora said surprisingly, before looking over to Sunny, "Nice to meet you. I'm Sora."

The young boy simply nodded in response, "Sunny,"

There was a bit of an awkward silence between the two, Sora wearing a perplexed expression, while Sunny's remained neutral. It was a few seconds before Sora spoke up, "He's… not much of a talker, is he?"

"He's working on it. Depends on who he's with." Mari replied, "Sunny was never really the guy who goes out much."

"That's fair. I won't judge."

"Though if I have to be honest," Mari began, "I wasn't expecting all of you guys to come over. What are you doing here?"

"We came to keep ya company, ya know?" Kel replied, "Especially since this place ain't getting as many customers as it used to."

"Aww… thanks guys. You really shouldn't have," Mari said bashfully, "Specially you, Sunny and Hero."

"We're friends. We stick together, no matter what." Hero replied.

"And it would suck not having your brother over, right?" Aubrey added, "He came of his own volition, you know."

"Really? I thought you weren't a fan of big libraries, Sunny." Mari looked at Sunny.

"This is different. I can't just leave you alone here." Sunny explained.

"Hey. I'm right here." Sora called out, walking up to them.

"Other than you." Sunny replied, looking at him with suspicion.

"What's with the look? If you're thinking what I think you're thinking then you've got it all wrong. She's way too old for me. You should be looking at Hero!" Sora said with his hands in the air.

"Sure…" Sunny said, still unconvinced.

"No worries, Sunny. We're just friends." Mari reassured him, "Though I understand how you feel. Especially after what happened with Sweetheart."

The air turned slightly frigid at the mention of the name. Mari seemed very bothered when bringing her up. Sunny's neutral expression changed and became scrunched up in annoyance. Kel appeared to be the most annoyed of the group, though, crossing his arms and puffing his cheeks. Basil looked uneasy, though he seemed a bit indifferent to the subject; Aubrey just looked away and coughed.

"Sweetheart?" Sora asked, "Who's that?"

"A rookie Hero from Shibuya. Made her debut a couple months ago." Hero explained, looking rather bothered and uncomfortable, "She's… got an obsession with me… and, well…"

"I get the picture," Sora winced, not wanting to press the subject further, "I'm sorry about that, Hero. Didn't have any idea you had that on your shoulders as well."

"It's fine… I've mostly gotten used to it. Her advances don't work on me as they used to. Though it has begun to get very annoying." Hero sighed, "One time I had to cover my face with a bag to make sure I didn't get seen by her."

"We all did, Hero. And she still spotted us," Aubrey replied, "Not to mention that you were wearing the same shirt the last time she tried to hit on you."

"It's a miracle that we made it out of there alive." Sunny said quietly.

"She's that bad?" Sora asked stunned.

"Dude. You have no idea…" Kel shook his head.

"I see…" Sora put his hand to his chin, "I wish there was a way I can help."

"No need, Sora. I've been able to avoid her thanks to Sunny," Hero pointed to the shortest of the group, "It's a good thing he's got a good Quirk."

"What's it called?" Sora asked.

"Headspace," Sunny explained, "I can bring forth things from my imagination out into the real world for a certain amount of time. Best I can do is three to four things at once."

"Wow… that's a pretty cool Quirk!" Sora said with stars in his eyes, "How long can you keep them out for?"

"30 seconds."

"That's pretty nice. You'd make a pretty wild card of a fighter, Sunny."

"Wild card?"

"Well, you have a lot of things to choose from when you use your Quirk, right? The only limit's your imagination!" Sora explained.

"He does have a point. Villains won't know what you'll conjure up next because they don't know what's in that head of yours unless they can read minds." Hero added, "It makes you more unpredictable in that sense, Sunny."

Sunny hummed, "I never thought of it that way."

"At least now you know." Basil replied, "That'll definitely work out when we enroll into a Hero school this year."

(Silence)

"You guys are enrolling?" Sora asked, "You, Kel, Aubrey, and Sunny?"

"Uh-huh."

"That's great! Which one?"

"We're not sure yet. Definitely not U.A., though." Aubrey replied, "It's pretty strict from what I've heard. An entire class got expelled last year, didja hear?'

"What?!" Sora looked aghast.

"Yeah. Apparently they all had 'no potential', according to their teacher," Kel said, "That spooked us all out, so yeah, we're not risking anything there."

"I see." Sora said, calming himself down, "That's a relief. I get it,"

"You do?"

"Let's just say… I also had some pretty strict teachers," Sora said. He recalled the harsh training regiment he'd experienced with General Shang in the Land of Dragons, a regiment his friend Mulan barely passed. It was just as, if not harder, than the training regiments given to him by Phil in Olympus Coliseum, and Sora had caused a mess in Phil's training grounds the last time he was there. He had managed to get on both of their good sides in the end, thankfully. Perhaps he could pull it off here. "Honestly, that makes me a bit fired up to try and enroll at U.A. as well."

"Dude, seriously?" Kel asked dumbfoundedly.

"I've always wanted to explore the outside world, and now that I see what it has to offer, I just can't go back to my normal life like that." Sora replied, "I wanna give this Hero thing a try."

"Well, in that case, I'll wish you luck, then!" Kel replied, "You've got my support."

"Thanks, Kel," Sora replied.

"Speaking of…" Sunny said, "What's your Quirk, Sora?"

(Play: KH Unchained X OST: Shipmaster's Shanty)

"My Quirk?" Sora asked, before jolting up, "Oh yeah! My Quirk! I can summon things, like this."

Sora saw no harm in showing off his trusty Kingdom Key, summoning it to his hand in a flash of light. The six of them looked awed.

"Wow… that looks like a sword… key?" Kel asked.

"A Keyblade," Sunny replied, "It's a key, and a sword,"

"Yeah. That's what it is," Sora said proudly.

"Did it come from your imagination, too?"

Sora looked down for a second, before saying, "It's… complicated."

"Oh. Sorry. I didn't mean to bring up anything personal," Sunny apologized, bowing, upon recognizing the look of sorrow upon Sora's face.

"It's fine. This was actually the first thing I summoned." Sora said, "But how it happened is something I'd rather not talk about."

Especially because this might risk breaking the world order. Sora thought, Plus, I haven't even thought up a cover story of how I got this weapon.

"I see. We won't pry any further than we need to, then." Mari told him.

"Thanks. Maybe when I'm ready, I'll tell you."

"Sounds good, but do you mind putting that away? We don't want you to get arrested for just summoning that out of the blue." Aubrey said.

"Oh yeah. Sorry bout that." Sora agreed, dismissing it from his hand. She did bring up a valid point. Though they were talking in private, they were still in a public library. Summoning his Keyblade in front of authorities or suckers for the law would get him arrested, whether it would be fighting Heartless or just showing it off.

As much as it sucked, Sora could understand why such laws were put into place.

"Whoa! Where did it go?" Basil asked in wonder as the Keyblade disappeared in a flash of light.

"Honestly, I dunno myself." Sora admitted, "But whenever I need it, it'll always come back to me."

"That's a useful Quirk to have. What else can you summon?" Hero asked him.

"Uhhh… that's a good question. I think maybe fire, water… anything elemental, for now. I can only summon them through my hand, though." Sora replied, reciting the lie he had come up in his head about his powers, "Only issue is that summoning it by hand hurts me if I summon too much of that element, unless it's water. Too much fire burns me; too much thunder electrocutes me; too much ice freezes me… You get the idea. So I use my Keyblade as a channel for the element to go through, so it doesn't stay on my hand for long and harm me severely. That way I don't injure my hands as much as I do with the Keyblade than I would summoning the element through my hand,"

"That kinda makes the Keyblade a magical wand as well," Sunny simplified, "It's become a part of you. An extension,"

"Yeah… I guess you could say that. But I can't rely on that forever to summon those elements," Sora said, thinking back to his battle with Yozora, where he managed to steal his Keyblade from him, "I'll need to practice summoning it naturally from my hands again, in the worst case I can't summon the Keyblade to defend myself with."

"That's a good way to practice. It's like casting magic in those JRPG games." Kel smiled, "Your Quirk kinda reminds me of that."

"Yeah it does. I thought so too, when I first saw those." Sora chuckled. He'd heard about those Japanese Role Playing Games, and some of them involved characters with pretty similar magic abilities that he had. Sora simply thought it to be a happy coincidence.

Besides, there were even wackier Quirks than the powers he had. Unless one counts the power of waking, which could alter the course of history itself when misused. Sora should know that. That was the reason he was here.

"So anything you summon from your hand can hurt you if you're not careful with it or if you summon too much of that element," Hero concluded, "I'm guessing that Keyblade of yours doesn't hurt you. You didn't flinch when you summoned it before."

"It's because I used it a lot back home. It still stings, but it doesn't bother me much," Sora explained, "Like Sunny said, it's like an extension of me."

"I see…" Hero thought aloud.

"So you've got an elongated arm!" Kel concluded.

"Sure, Kel," Aubrey sighed.

(Play: KH 2.5 OST: Magical Mystery)

"Enough about me, though. I never asked what your guys' Quirks were!" Sora said, "All the time we spent together and I never even asked you."

"You never did, huh?" Aubrey said thoughtfully.

"Well…" Mari began, "Let's go over to the table over there and we can explain. How does that sound?"

"Okay!" Everyone agreed.

They all sat down by the table, Sora eager to learn about their Quirks and how they work. Once they all got seated, Sora was the first to speak, "So, who wants to go first?"

"I can start," Hero began, "My Quirk's called First Aid. It's basically a healing Quirk, where I can heal anyone's wounds by simply placing a hand on them."

"Wow. That's a pretty useful Quirk." Sora complimented, "I can see why your parents want you to be a doctor. Your Quirk's very compatible with the job description."

"Yeah. But as you already know, I'm trying to find something else to do with my life. You see, my Quirk has a big drawback," Hero confessed, "Depending on the injury, I have to sacrifice some of my own energy in order to heal them. My life energy, to be exact. The more severe or numerous the injuries are, the more energy I have to spend. In short, it also slowly kills me the more I use it."

"Oh wow… So that's why you wanted to find something else to do with your life. I'm sorry, Hero."

"It's alright. I don't use my Quirk much anyways, to ensure my lifespan isn't super short." Hero said, "If I didn't, who else would Mari have to flirt with when she's an old lady?"

"Hey!" the person in question pouted, "We're talking about this now?"

"Kidding, I'm kidding!"

Everybody except Sunny, who only smiles, and Aubrey, who stifles her laughter, bursts out laughing, regardless.

"Alright, jokes aside…" Sora rubbed his eyes, "How about all of you guys?"

"I call next!" Kel proclaimed, "My Quirk allows me to increase my strength and speed for a brief amount of time the happier I become! It even applies to objects in my hands!"

"Whoa! A strength based Quirk?" Sora asked awed, "What's it called?"

"Err…" Kel actually looked embarrassed for once, as Aubrey then finished for him.

"It's called Glass Cannon." She explained, "The big drawback for Kel's Quirk is that it also decreases his defensive capabilities, making him a literal 'glass cannon,'"

"Aubrey!" Kel whined.

"What? Am I not wrong? All Quirks have some physical limitations. Even mine's."

"You're no fun…"

"I speak naught but the truth," Aubrey smirked, "Anyways, my Quirk is called Invigorate. It's a bit similar to Kel's Quirk, in a sense. The more emotional I get, the stronger my abilities become. But if that emotion dies down, or if there is negative encouragement, the power boost I get will decrease."

"So you're basically both heavy hitters, but with different strengths and weaknesses," Sora concluded, "Though Kel can hit harder than Aubrey, she can last longer in a fight because she still has a better defensive capability. Plus, you're powered by all your emotions, while Kel's is based on just how happy he is at that point in time. I'm guessing that your Quirks leave you both physically exhausted after using them, right?"

"You're right on the money," Aubrey nods.

"So it just leaves you and Mari, Basil." Sora looked at the blonde haired boy in their group.

Basil smiles sheepishly, before saying, "My Quirk is called 'Chlorokinesis.'"

"Hubba what now?" Sora asked dumbfounded.

"He can basically control plants. He's gotta specialty for vines though," Mari explained for Sora.

"Oh. That's neat!" Sora smiled.

"Thanks. The drawback for my Quirk is that it also uses the water from my body to make the Quirk work," Basil admitted, "Though I've managed to lessen the amount of water needed to manipulate said plants."

"No wonder why you read all those gardening books and drink a lot of water." Sora smiled, "You've got a great Quirk, Basil."

Basil looked bashful, before saying, "Thank you, Sora."

"No sweat." Sora grinned, "How bout you Mari?"

Mari smiled back at him, "Mine's similar to Hero's. It's called Soothing Drive. It's a healing Quirk, but sacrifices my own adrenaline in order to heal them. Only difference is that my Quirk can only focus on one person. Hero's can do it for multiple people."

"I see. That would explain why Hero's Quirk has that massive drawback." Sora replied, "Man, you guys have amazing Quirks."

(Play: MHA OST: Bright and Cheerful)

"Well, the most amazing Quirk is Sunny's here." Kel pointed to his quiet friend, "Like you said, the only limit is his imagination!"

"Save for the headache." Aubrey replied.

"I'm working on it, okay?" Sunny pouts, "I'm at least able to hold it for five seconds longer until the headache gets worse, Aubrey."

"I know. We're all working hard to be Heroes in our own way. You included, Sunny." Aubrey told him softly, "Maybe not Mari and Hero, though. Their Quirks aren't meant for combat."

"We'll still help out in any way we can," Hero replies, "We're not gonna stand by and watch you four have all the fun."

"What have you got? A frying pan?" Kel teases.

"You know I can do more than that, Kel. Do you want a reminder?" Hero asked dangerously, suddenly having a menacing aura around him.

Kel gets the memo, and shuts up, "Older siblings are scary…"

"Still, I believe with all my heart that you'll all become famous Heroes." Mari said, "You five have my moral support."

"You bet we will!" Sora pipes up, "Just you watch. We're gonna all become great Heroes and pass the Hero Course with flying colors! Right, guys?"

"Boo-yah!" Kel matches Sora's energy as they pump their fists in the air. Aubrey and Sunny can't help but slightly smile at their friends' shared energy, while Basil, Mari, and Hero smile warmly at them without trying to hide it.

He would not deny it. Sora was happier than he had been these past few days. His time with these six individuals had helped fill the void that he had felt when he first arrived here. It was very, very refreshing to talk casually with other people again.

"So will you go to U.A., then, Sora?" Hero asked him, "You live all the way on an Island, right?".

"Yep. Seems like it. I feel like it's probably for the best." Sora replied, "I'll get the full experience and see this world for what it really is. It'll be like, um…" he couldn't find the words on what he wanted to say.

"Putting on a fresh pair of glasses?" Mari suggested.

"Wearing someone else's shoes?" Sunny added.

"Yeah. Something like that." Sora grinned, "There's still a lot I don't know about Mustafu and the world. I really would like to know more about it."

Sora was thankful that he told them that his island was isolated from the entire world for a long time, and that he had been one of the first to actually explore and set out, finding himself in Japan, the closest country available.

"If that's the case, Sora," Mari smiled at him, "I wish you all the best."

"Try not to fail the Entrance Exam. I heard that's also pretty difficult in itself." Aubrey replied.

"Trust me. I won't," Sora grinned at her.

Mari looked at her watch, turned to everyone, and asked, "Well, my shift is over today. Since we're all here, why don't we go out and watch a movie together?"

"Oh yeah! Let's do that!" Kel jumped in the air with joy.

"I'm down." Aubrey said.

"I'll go too," Sora said, before looking down, "Though I'm not sure if I can afford it."

"No worries, Sora. I'll pay for you." Hero replied kindly.

Sora laughed uneasily, but smiled, "Thanks, Hero."

With that, the group of seven stood up and packed their things. Or in Sora's case, put the books away.

When they arrived at the theater, they chose to watch a brand-new movie called "Justice League,". Sora watched it all unfurl on a gigantic screen, while Kel explained to him who the characters were and what their powers were. As Sora listened, he was honestly glad he didn't have to go up against these types of people yet. Some of their powers were ridiculous.

As the movie went by, despite there being some funny moments in it, it was clear that there was a sense of… disappointment… within the room, even from Sora's new friends. Sora was a bit confused, until Sunny clarified for him that the movie did not meet up to everyone's expectations, which Sora understood the feeling of completely.

By the end of the movie, Sora was one of the few people who clapped loudly, while others did so out of reluctance.

(Play: KH BBS OST: Innocent Times)

"That was… underwhelming," Aubrey said bluntly as they exited the big theater.

"You could say that again," Kel groaned, "Wasn't one of the best movies I've watched."

"Seemed like only that one flying guy… Superman, was it?" Sora asked for clarification.

"Yeah. The Man of Steel himself,"

"Thanks. Seemed like Superman did all the heavy lifting at the end. Made the others feel a bit insignificant." Sora sighed. He ignored it initially, but Sora had a nagging feeling he had done something like this before.

"Well, you can't say they tried," Hero replied, "Some parts were decent."

Sunny only hummed.

"At least we got to see it. Now we know," Mari reassured them.

"That doesn't change how I feel. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined." Kel replied bluntly, a depressed aura around him.

"Sure it is…" Aubrey smirked.

"Welp. Time for us to head back home," Mari said, "See you around, Sora!"

"Kay! Thanks for having me along on the trip!" Sora waved to them, on the way back to the park.

"No problem!" Hero called out as they walked away, "And don't worry about repaying me! It was my treat!"

"Okay!"

(Play: KH 3 OST: Heroes' Gathering)

Sora watched them walk away again, talking with one another and smiling. He smiled as well, though it hurt to watch them fade off into the distance. Sighing as they disappeared from his view, he turned on his heel and walked back, the smile never leaving his face.

Even if the movie had been a bit disappointing, it was really nice to just sit back and relax and watch it. Especially with other people he could talk to. He never did take a truly long break from all the fighting he had been through since he first obtained the Keyblade, so these days of rest and repose were sort of a blessing for him.

If only his friends could rest easy, too.

Knowing them, they probably weren't, and were searching for him this very minute. He wondered when they would eventually find him. More importantly… how were they holding up without him there?

He probably should go and read his friends' letters before he went to sleep on the branch tonight. The evening was still young, so he still had some light to work with. Sora walked back to the park with a spring in his step.

As he made it to the tree, he sat down underneath it, summoning the chest out when nobody was looking. There weren't many people that were around, anyways. He put a hand on it, and opened the chest once more.

He stared at the letters, first looking at Kairi's once again. He read it silently to himself, smiling before putting it away. He was glad that she was safe and sound with Riku, though it seems like she was willing to go out and find him. Sora hoped that she wouldn't be severely injured through her search.

He opened up another letter, which also had familiar handwriting.

(Play: KH 2.5 OST: Riku)

Searching for you right now as I was writing this letter.

I'm really happy you brought Kairi back to us, and I hope this letter gets to you, Sora.

I may have taken the longest to accept that you're gone, but that doesn't mean I won't stop looking for you either. When I find you, I'll do whatever it takes to bring you back home to us. You've saved me more than I've saved you, and I'm planning to make that number even.

Sit tight, Sora, and stay safe, wherever you are.

I'm coming.

Riku

Sora smiled. He was a bit surprised by the way his best friend wrote. It definitely was the Riku he knew, but he never saw him as being the type to write like this. Nevertheless, he was happy that Riku was out there looking for him. Who knows, he might be the first one to find him. Riku did have a habit of being the one to get him out of almost every situation he got himself into. He looked at the letter again and saw a P.S.

Oh yeah. This fell off of you before you faded away. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't realize it. You never were the brightest out of all of us. ("Hey." Sora muttered playfully) Anyways, be sure to keep that gift I gave to you safe as well, or I'm never gonna let you live it down. Are we clear?

Sora looked at the envelope the letter was in, and pulled out something that surprised him: his crown necklace stood sparkling in his right hand, shiny and new. Sora never noticed that it fell off of him. It was a gift to him by Riku when Sora turned 13, and he'd been wearing it ever since like a charm.

"Crystal, Riku…" Sora said softly, putting the necklace around him, making sure that it was tightly clipped together. He felt a warmth on his shoulder, but he didn't look back, knowing that it was only a feeling.

He took another envelope out and opened it. He looked surprised at who the person that had written it was.

(Play: KH 2.5 OST: Roxas)

Hey, Sora,

I know I already said thank you when you brought me back in Radiant Garden, but I wanted to thank you again. For letting me have a normal life, and a chance for me, Xion, and Axel to be happy and together again.

I'm sorry. I couldn't go out and join Riku when he began searching for you, but Zexion's planning to scan through mine and Xion's memories later on in hopes of finding a clue to your whereabouts. So I won't just be standing around and doing nothing. I wrote a letter to you (which is this), and I'm starting to wonder now if it'll ever reach where you are right now. Hopefully it does.

If Riku finds you, and you come back, I'd like you to come to the Clock Tower again and have ice cream with the rest of us. I owe you that much as a friend and a brother. I also heard that friends give one another gifts as tokens of gratitude (I think that's the word). So there's something in the envelope, from me to you. Hope you like it.

Stay strong, Sora. Try not to get into too much trouble, kay?

Roxas

Sora was surprised to get a letter from Roxas of all people, let alone a gift. Then again, his anger at Sora had subsided a long time ago, so there wasn't much bad blood between the two. Sora smiled as he pulled out a charm resembling the symbol on Roxas's casual outfit.

"Thanks, Roxas. I'll make sure to do just that when I return," he smiled, recalling the time when he and his Nobody shook hands at Radiant Garden.

He looked at another envelope, and pulled it out of the chest. This time, he was once again surprised by who it was.

(Play: KH BBS OST: Ventus)

Sora,

I can't thank you enough for what you've done for all of us. If it wasn't for you, I would've never been able to stand here and write this letter to you, let alone see Terra and Aqua again after a decade. Has it a decade? Gee, I guess I'm still trying to process that!

Not to mention I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that you're gone. You don't deserve a fate like this after everything you've done for our sakes. We're doing all we can here to find you and bring you back to us. Riku most of all, and I don't blame him. From what he's told me about you, your friendship with him kinda reminds me of myself and Terra.

Oh yeah, I made a new friend before the party started. I don't think you guys have met, though, but how would I know? His name is Chirithy. For some reason, it feels like I've met him from somewhere before, but I'll worry about it later. He's a nice fella, and Aqua thinks he's cute.

Right now, as I'm writing this letter, we're planning on going to the Realm of Darkness to find any clues on your whereabouts. I'm not sure if we'll find anything there, though, but it never hurts to look there, right? Aqua's a bit apprehensive on returning there, unfortunately. I can't imagine what she's been through all those years in there. Until she's ready, we'll put that on hold.

Riku's visited a couple of times, and he's in much better shape than he was when you first disappeared. Don't worry about him, though. He'll be okay. He misses you a lot. We all do.

Chirithy and I have also sent you a gift in the envelope, and just as a heads up, there's gonna be a lot more coming from each and every one of us, so don't be surprised when you see em. I hope things are okay wherever you are, and I hope we can get to know one another better once you've returned.

Until then, may your heart be your guiding key.

Ventus

Sora smiled as he looked and saw a yellow star charm that was hollow at the center. He didn't know what it was, but he was happy that Ventus gave him this gift.

"Thanks, Ven," Sora muttered, "And may your heart be your own,"

Sora then goes on to open up the other envelopes. All of them were from his fellow Guardians of Light, and the allies Sora had made up to this point. Well, at least the ones who knew about the existence of other worlds, mainly the members of the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee, now called the Radiant Garden Security Committee, his friends, Hayner, Pence, and Olette from Twilight Town, and Ansem the Wise and his other apprentices. Heck, he was even surprised that Sephlie, Tidus, and Wakka sent him letters as well.

As he read through each one of them, he felt something that he hadn't felt since he'd gotten here… relief. It was as if a weight was lifted from his chest, even if it was a small one. Each letter gave little or big words of encouragement, information on how their lives were thanks to him and the Guardians, and that they wouldn't stop believing that he was out there, hoping that he would one day return.

He also got little trinkets from Axel and Xion, as well as photos of the other Guardians courtesy of Terra, Aqua, and Ventus, which captured glimpses into their new happy lives. He also got a replacement honorary membership card from the Radiant Garden Security Committee, as well as some papers involving synthesis. Sora knew that such things wouldn't be possible to do unless there was a Moogle around, and they normally used holograms to advertise the items they sell. He also got a decent amount of Munny courtesy of Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie, and a photo of himself, Donald, and Goofy together from Mickey.

He was relieved at the fact that they were all doing just fine, even if they did miss him as well. That was more than enough to make him happy for his friends and proud of himself. He had done what he could, and now he had proof that his actions were not in vain.

He wiped a tear away from his eye. Though it was a tear of sadness, it was also one of relief, and he didn't mind that. It was okay to cry from time to time. Living proof that he still had his heart.

He placed the trinkets and charms from Ventus, Roxas, Axel, and Xion into his butt pocket, and placed everything else back into the chest, closing it and placed a hand on the top of it. He watched it disappear back into his magical inventory, made courtesy of Yen Sid and the Three Good Fairies.

He sighed, looking up towards the setting sun once again. Now, at least, he could rest a little easier. He closed his eyes, bathing in the sun as it set over the buildings of Mustafu.

He smiled.

Even if this peace wouldn't last forever, he was happy with today. He wouldn't be forgetting it for a long while.

It was starting to get dark. Sora looked around, before climbing up the tree once again, looking for his branch, and getting himself settled in.

He couldn't wait for tomorrow.

(Silence)

Whew! Chapter 3 is finished! This one took longer than the other two, since I had to make sure that I got as close to the OMORI cast's personalities as possible when they were interacting with Sora.

On a happier note, Sora's now been in this world for three days since he crash-landed. Maybe four, considering he crashed at night. He's gotten used to his sleeping place, though I do wish he found someplace better, this will have to do for the time being. He's gotten a better understanding and a closer bond with his new friends, as well as figuring out what their Quirks are, and vice versa. Honestly, I'm not all that proud of the names of the OMORI cast's Quirks, but I did the best I could.

To those who are confused about Sora's magical inventory, I mean, think of it this way. If Sora had all his equipment, where would he store it? And when storing it into his pockets, they'd be clearly visible on his pants unless the items themselves are super small. So to save Sora from that fate, he's gonna have an inventory built into his clothes, so his pockets will be a lot more magical than they look. Think of it as similar to the Extension Charm Hermione used on her handbag in the Harry Potter series, except unlike the charm, Sora can just call it out to him from his pocket whenever he wants to.

A final thing to say. Remember when I said Sora would be coming from a KH3 that's slightly different from the canon version? Well with the letter from Roxas Sora just read before the chapter's end, we just hit one of the major plot points that was changed here. Turns out Sora has managed to restore Roxas in Radiant Garden, before the final battle, by the looks of it. How this affects the story written in KH3 onwards? You'll have to wait and see.

For those who are getting bored of the lack of action in these chapters, do not worry. We'll be getting there much sooner than you would think...

Once again, feel free to talk about what you thought about this chapter and the previous ones. I'm sorry if this story isn't for you, and should you choose to stop reading it, I hope you'll find a story that you like.

Thanks for reading this chapter, and until our paths cross again.
