Chapter 6: Interrogation and Discovery

To find is to lose… and to lose is to find.

(Silence)

Sora sat on the seat while fidgeting with his hands.

He had expected to be arrested, but this was a bit different than what he had expected. When he was in the car, hardly anything was said between him and the officer, which made things a bit awkward. After 10 minutes of silence, Sora broke it.

"So," Sora asked the officer in Japanese, "What's going to happen?"

The officer replied, "We will need to search you once we arrive at the station to see if you're a threat to the people, and once that is done, you will be taken in for questioning."

"Alright." Sora nodded, before adding, "I wish the Heartless had never come here."

"You know those things?"

"It's a long story… I'm sorry, but it's not something I like sharing."

The officer hums at his answer, "Very well. I will not pry. You can answer to the higher-ups later."

"Thank you," Sora said earnestly.

They managed to get to the police station, where the things the officer had explained to Sora happened. They took a mug shot of him, one which Sora was told not to smile at, which followed with a fingerprint test where he placed his thumb on a scanner. They then searched his clothing, finding his accessories, his Gummiphone, the charms his friends had given him, and his healing items, all of which were taken for further study, much to Sora's disappointment. They demanded for him to hand over his Keyblade as well, and Sora complied, even though he knew he could summon it back at will, he didn't want to get on their bad side, so he let his Kingdom Key stay with the officers while he was escorted to an interrogation room.

It was there Sora sat waiting for his interrogator, his hands still chained and now bound to the table he was sitting at. He looked towards the large mirror in his room. From what he could deduce, it was either a very large mirror, or something else.

When looking at the mirror, Sora realized the state of his outfit. It was pretty much torn up, the jacket still having claw marks where the Mega Shadow had struck him, and there was some blood stains around his right gauntlet. Other than that, the battle damage he had suffered was quite minimal, other than the residual dirt on his worn-out clothes.

Strange. He couldn't help but shake the feeling that he was being watched, and that kept him on edge.

(Play: MHA OST - Mystery)

His suspicions were correct, though he himself didn't know it. Standing outside the room were people watching him as he sat there staring back at them.

"What do you make of it, Detective?" one of the police officers asked the person up front observing the boy. The group consisted of several officers guarding the door, the Pro Heroes involved in the attack, consisting of Death Arms, Kamui Woods, and Mt. Lady, and a man with short black hair in a suit.

"For one thing, he was very polite and calm during his arrest." the detective replied, "He certainly knew what would happen when he used his Quirk illegally, according to the officers who arrested him. He willingly put himself in chains after defeating that giant mass of shadow creatures. He was cooperative with the officers while he was arrested, though he was reluctant in giving up some of the items on his person. One of which was the key-shaped sword he summoned."

"What should we do with him, sir? Putting him behind bars is a bit much considering what he has done."

"I'll admit that he did protect the citizens, but he still has to be questioned like every other person. Not to mention that he has an apparent history with the creatures that showed up today. He knows what they are, and what threat they pose, so I plan to figure out as much as I can from him. Who knows when they could show up again."

"Go easy on him, though. He's just a kid," Death Arms replied.

"A kid who broke the law," Mt. Lady countered.

"And admitted he was wrong in doing so," the detective said firmly, shutting both of them up, "I agree with Mt. Lady that acting like a hero doesn't excuse him for that. Nobody is ever above the law. But he still knows what exactly we were up against that day, or at the very least, he acted like he did. Whether or not it is an act, I intend to figure it out today."

The detective signaled to the officers at the door to open it, and he walked into the room where the young boy was sitting. He had stopped staring at the wall at the sound of the door opening, and looked a bit nervous when he saw the detective.

(Silence)

"Hello, young man." The detective said in English, much to the boy's surprise, "To answer your question, a friend of mine said you were better versed in this language. I felt that it would be uncomfortable for you if you spoke in a language you haven't fully mastered yet."

"Oh…" Sora replied, "Thank you, sir. Are you the one questioning me?"

"Yes," the detective nodded, taking a seat across from Sora, "My name is Naomasa Tsukauchi. I work here in the Police Force for Japan,". Sora nodded quietly. "Can I have your name, young man?"

"Sora," the boy replied, "My name is Sora, Mr. Tsukauchi."

"Sora…" the detective wrote the name down in his notes, "Any last name?"

Sora froze. His last name. He looked up thinking. He knew he had a last name, but he never bothered to use it. He had read in Faraway Library that here in Japan, calling people by their last name was a formality, and first names were used only with family members or close friends. Sora didn't mind having people call him by his first name, whether they were strangers or not.

But that did beg the question… what was his last name?

"I…" Sora admitted, "I don't think I remember."

"You don't remember?"

"No."

Naomasa simply raised a brow at Sora. From the tone of his voice, the boy was being honest. Strange. How could one forget their last name?

"Okay, Sora." Naomasa continued, "We've tried to look up where you've come from, and we found that you didn't match up with anyone on the national database, face-wise or fingerprint-wise."

At that, Sora looked away, looking even more nervous.

"Can you tell me why that is?" Tsukauchi asked him.

Sora didn't know what to say. His words seemed to stop at his throat. He had made up the story of being an islander from an isolated island to his friends, but something told him that the story wouldn't convince the detective in front of him. But even if he told the truth, they probably wouldn't believe him.

What was he supposed to do?

"It's alright if you don't wish to answer, Sora. Rest assured, you are in good hands, but your silence will be noted when we question you again," Tsukauchi told him kindly.

Sora only nodded.

"Can you tell me about your Quirk?"

Sora relaxed, "Yes. I can summon things, mainly elemental objects like fire, ice, and lightning, and I've also been able to summon that weapon you guys confiscated."

"That key-shaped sword?"

"Yes," Sora nodded, as the detective continued to write down notes, "I can summon and unsummon that weapon at will. Only drawback is that I can get hurt by whatever I summon if I use my Quirk too much."

"So if you summon a lot of fire, it could end up burning you, correct?" Naomasa theorized.

"Something like that."

"Can you tell me how your Quirk manifested?" Tsukauchi asked him.

(Play: MHA OST - Anguish of the Quirkless)

"I can." Sora said solemnly, "But it wasn't under good circumstances…"

"I assume it had something to do with those creatures?"

"Yeah." Sora replied, "They're called Heartless. Creatures created by a mad scientist from where I'm from named Ansem. They're the darkness created from a person's heart."

"When you say darkness and heart, what do you mean?"

"It's not like the physical heart that we know. What I do know is that according to Ansem through his research reports, hearts consist of light and darkness, and they're connected to our emotions. They grow with every new experience,"

"So a heart is like a manifestation of one's emotional self. One's happiness and positivity could be considered their light, and anger and sadness could be considered a person's darkness." Naomasa concluded.

"Yeah. If a person yields to that darkness, they'll lose their form and become a Heartless, and they can rip the hearts out of other people to make more of themselves. Not the physical hearts," Sora added as Tsukauchi looked stricken, "I'm really sorry if you're confused."

"No, don't be. Given further thought, it matches with what witnesses say about them." Naomasa said, "Those creatures plunged their hands into the victim's chest, and pulled out a heart-shaped glowing object, which is what I'm assuming is what you are talking about, yes?"

"Right…" Sora looked down with a sigh. He had seen this happen too many times.

"And then they crushed that heart, causing the victim's body to disappear, and in their place another of these Heartless appeared. Does that sound familiar, Sora?"

"Yes." Sora nodded, "That's exactly what happened to the people from my home. The Heartless attacked and demolished it, destroying everyone in their path, and just when they were about to get me, something… snapped. And then out of nowhere, I summoned the Keyblade and kept them away from me, and I've had it ever since. I'm… probably the only survivor from my home."

"I see… so it manifested from that experience." Naomasa said solemnly, "I am sorry for your loss, Sora,"

"It's alright." Sora replied, and Naomasa simply looked at him. From what he could make out and by using his own Quirk, the boy was mostly telling the truth… at least, everything up to the Quirk part. Something about how he said it seemed off. There was more to this than he let on.

But when Sora spoke about the Heartless and what they did to his home, there was nothing but truth in his words. Not a single ounce of deception was in his voice. Sora knew that what he said about them was fact, and this only concerned Naomasa even more.

(Silence)

"Tell me more about these Heartless." Naomasa replied, "You seem to be the only one who knows what we just faced, let alone how to fight them."

"That's the issue," Sora shook his head, "They are incredibly tenacious. Since there's always darkness in people's hearts, the Heartless will continue to show up. They also have very strong regenerative abilities, so even if we take them out by normal means, they'll just show up again somewhere else given time. The only way to truly be rid of them is if everyone's hearts were pure light and devoid of darkness."

"Which is impossible. Taking one away would make the other disappear." Naomasa concluded, putting his hands on his temples, "So we're stuck with them?"

"I think so…" Sora replied, "But don't worry. It's not like we can't stop them. We can at least prevent them from being a worldwide threat. Remember the Keyblade I summoned using my Quirk?"

(Play: KH 2.5 Remix OST - Magical Mystery)

"That's what it's called?"

"That's what I call it," Sora nodded, "Apparently, Ansem was trying to experiment with the Heartless, to see what would happen if he unleashed them on the world, and he sent them to my home as a test." He looked down when he said this, "And my Quirk manifested as a result. I was able to summon something that could take them down for good. That's how I was able to deal with them."

"And you dealt with them? On your own?"

"I had help." Sora explained, and stopped there. It was clear he didn't want to say anything more, so Naomasa kept it at that.

"And how long have you dealt with them?"

"Two years," Sora said, "Up until now, I thought the Heartless were contained when Ansem was defeated."

"And when you realized that they weren't, you went to Japan to look for clues, correct?"

"Y-Yeah." Sora was taken aback by the assumption, and decided to use that, "But I know I shouldn't have used my Quirk here, but I'm not ashamed for using it to protect others. I've seen what the Heartless can do… If I didn't move to take action, we would've lost a lot more lives than we did now. I couldn't…. I wouldn't just stand around and do nothing like back then. Not while I had the power to help."

"I see…" Naomasa nodded, writing down in his notebook once again, hiding a smile. It's like I'm speaking to a different version of you, Toshinori. He also noted that Sora had a slightly sorrowful look on his face as he said it. He must have been in this situation of inaction many times before, so Naomasa couldn't blame him for stepping in.

But regardless, the boy broke the law. He had to continue the questioning.

"Anything else we should know about the Heartless?" he asked Sora.

"There are two types. Pureblood, and Emblem." Sora explained, "From what I learned from Ansem's research, he said that Purebloods are the result of a person yielding to their darkness. It comes out as a Heartless. Emblem Heartless… well…" Sora paused at this. Now that he was about to explain it, the thought of it somehow made him sick.

"Sora?" Tsukauchi asked concerned, "Are you alright?"

"Huh? Yeah, I am. It's just," Sora took a deep breath, "It's pretty disturbing. Emblem Heartless were the results of Ansem's research… using human experimentation."

Tsukauchi stared at him for a couple seconds, probably to ensure that he wasn't lying, before taking a deep breath of his own, "So Emblem Heartless were… people?"

"Yes. They were," Sora sighed, "Ansem wanted to study the heart, to learn its secrets and harness it. It was all harmless at first… normal research and surveying, but…"

"He started to use human lab rats… and began to divulge in the dark side of the heart," Tsukauchi said, now realizing why Sora had said that Ansem sent the Heartless to his home to perform "tests."

"...Yeah." Sora said sadly, "Emblem Heartless are the hearts of people given form by their darkness, while Purebloods are just pure darkness."

"I see… how can we tell the two apart?"

"There's one difference," Sora replied, "Emblem Heartless have an insignia on their bodies to mark them, hence their name. Pureblood Heartless don't have it."

"What does it look like?"

"A black heart-like symbol outlined in red markings, crossed in an 'X'. I would show you a picture, but I don't have my phone with me," Sora explained, "You can tell they're Heartless because they have yellow eyes with no pupils. And they might have the symbol I described to you before."

"Alright," Tsukauchi finished writing down his notes, before looking up to Sora, "Anything else we should know?"

"...No. Nothing else, Mr. Tsukauchi,"

"Okay." Naomasa got to his feet, "That will be all, Sora."

"Wait, I can go, now?" Sora asked dumbfoundedly.

"No. We need to make sure that what you say is true. Plus, even if your reasoning was noble, using your Quirk here is against the law, as you know," Tsukauchi replied sternly, "So what happens now is up to my superiors. It'll take some time, but you might be stuck here for a while until we patch things up, Sora."

"Well… could I have my arms to move around, at least?" Sora asked.

"No. We can't guarantee by your word alone that you won't try and break out of here, so that will have to wait," Naomasa said, "Is there anything else you want to ask?"

At that, they heard a loud growling sound from the room.

"Heh heh… Could I get something to eat? I think I'm kinda hungry, sir." Sora said sheepishly.

"I'll get you something to eat when I return then." Naomasa smiled.

"Thanks, Mr. Tsukauchi."

Naomasa nodded before walking up to the door, opening it and closing it shut. Sora heard the door being bolted and locked, and sighed.

He hoped they would let him out soon.

(Play: MHA OST - Hero's Shadow)

As Naomasa exited the room, the others who were listening had troubled looks on their faces. They had heard the entire conversation between the two.

"Tsukauchi-san. Is what he said true?" Kamui Woods asked the detective.

"Most of what he said, yes. I couldn't detect a lie when he was explaining the Heartless," Tsukauchi informed them, "But I could tell that there's a bit more to the story."

"It's honestly tragic, if he is the only survivor," Kamui said, "Though this Ansem person… I've never heard of him."

"None of us have. But apparently, he does exist. Sora wasn't lying." Naomasa said, "But if what he said is true, then he is either out of reach or long gone."

"He must be out of the country then," Mt. Lady deduced, "But some of the things he said doesn't add up."

"Especially his reasoning for being here in Japan. He faltered when I gave out my assumption." Naomasa noted, "That time he looked pretty nervous. I didn't see him like that when he was explaining the Heartless,"

"You believe he has another motive?"

"No. I think he doesn't." Tsukauchi replied, "But you can never be too certain."

"So these 'Heartless'..." Death Arms began, "What do we do about them?"

"Sora said that his Quirk could keep them at bay. At least, his Keyblade could." Naomasa replied, "If it were any other person, I'd say that this would be too convenient. But I checked, and he was speaking the truth… to an extent."

"There are other methods?"

"As of now, I am not sure. But at least we know they aren't invincible," Naomasa said, "Come. We must report our findings to Tsuragame-san. Hopefully the search team can fill us in on his items. Then, we can link everything together and solve the mystery that is Sora."

"Tsukauchi-san," another individual walked up to Naomasa, "I analyzed his DNA from that hair strand and blood sample, like you said."

"And?"

"There's something you should know."

(Silence)

Sora had been sleeping with his head on the table when the door opened up once again. There was Naomasa, with a bag and two drinks.

"Fallen asleep, haven't we, Sora?" he asked.

"Yeah…" Sora yawned, stretching his body and legs, since his arms were restrained, "How long was I out, Mr. Tsukauchi?"

"Over an hour,"

(Play: KH BBS OST - Innocent Times)

"Seriously?" Sora's jaw dropped.

"And here's some food, as requested. Hold on." Tsukauchi went over and released the restraints from Sora's arms, allowing him to use them freely, as Sora received a sandwich from Tsukauchi, "Help yourself."

"Whoa… thanks, Mr. Tsukauchi," Sora said, before taking a bite out of it, "Wow! This is good! Where's this from?"

"If I'm not mistaken, I think it might be the sandwich restaurant at the nearby mall." Naomasa explained.

"Wow. Gotta try it out sometime," Sora said, letting the food dissolve into his stomach. This felt like eating something at the Bistro! Then again, he hadn't eaten a good meal besides water in days. Maybe that was why it tasted so good.

"Here's a drink. I got you water in case you didn't drink soda." Naomasa asked, before drinking out of his own cup.

"What's soda again?" Sora asked absentmindedly, causing the detective to stare at him. The boy didn't know what soda was? Sora realized what he said, and mentally facepalmed. He did know what soda was, thanks to his time in San Fransokyo. He just never had it to begin with.

"Forget what I said…" Sora said, flustered. Naomasa took note of what Sora had said, though small, was still a clue to identify who this individual was. But he had a more pressing matter to talk about with Sora.

After the boy had finished his food and water, Sora asked Naomasa, "That was good. Thanks for that, Mr. Tsukauchi sir."

"It's no trouble."

"So… are you going to ask me more questions about the Heartless?"

"Actually… I have a different topic in mind," Naomasa admitted, rubbing his mouth with a napkin and clearing his throat, "There's someone I'd like you to meet."

(Silence)

Sora looked at him confused, "Someone's here?"

"Yes. Wait here," Naomasa told him, and walked up to the door, "You can come in now."

Confused, Sora stood up, wondering who the newcomer was, and was surprised when they entered the room.

(Play: MHA OST - Mystery)

It was the woman that he saved from the Demon Tide. She appeared to be uninjured, though it was clear she was having some trouble walking. Now that she was standing, she looks several inches taller than Sora was, and she herself was just as surprised to see him there.

"This is…" Sora replied.

"Yes. The woman that you rescued and nearly died for." Tsukauchi replied.

"Oh." Sora said. Putting it like that sounds very weird. He thought, but shook the thought away and waved, "Hi there."

"Hello, yourself." she replied kindly, before bowing, "Thank you for saving me."

"It's no problem. I'm just glad you're okay," Sora smiled at her, "If I hadn't done what I did, the Heartless would've taken your heart."

The woman shivered a bit, but Naomasa reassured her with a pat on her shoulder. Now that Sora had a better look at her, he noticed that she was wearing bracelets that consisted of small seashells and flowers, and looked like she wore a white dress underneath her shirt which fell down just below her knees.

But what struck Sora was her eyes. He hadn't looked in the mirror for a while, other than just recently during the interrogation room, but he could remember his own eye color when he saw it, and it was staring right back at him.

Eyes that were just like his.

But…

"Excuse me?" he heard Naomasa say, snapping Sora out of his funk.

"Oh, sorry. Were you saying something?" Sora asked.

"Yes. I was saying that the Police Force has no trace of you in the records, nothing at all. You're practically untraceable," Naomasa explained, "But we did find similarities in most of your DNA… with this woman here."

The news took both Sora and the woman by surprise, and they looked at Naomasa.

"What?!" Sora exclaimed.

"Yes. It surprised us too. That's why I brought her here." Tsukauchi pointed to the woman, "I was hoping you two would recognize each other, Sora."

"Sora?" The woman said in surprise, before looking at the boy in front of her, "Your name is Sora?"

"Y-yeah… it is." Sora replied. His mind was spinning now. Something had clicked in his mind, and that was causing him to lose focus as realization began to dawn on him.

"N-no… no way…!" Sora said dumbstruck. All of the pieces fell into place as he and the woman looked at one another in shock.

He knew who this woman was now. But… how?

Some time ago…

Sora stood at the front door to his house, looking rather nervous. It had been over a year since he had been inside. He never found time after he returned to the Islands after defeating Xemnas, for he had chosen to spend his rest days on the smaller island. After that, he was thrown right into the Mark of Mastery Exam.

But now, since this day would be the last day before the Keyblade War would commence, Sora wanted to visit and spend time with his family before he went out on this potential one-way trip.

He took a deep breath, and knocked on the door.

"Hello?" Sora called out, "Anyone home?"

(Silence)

There was no response.

"Hello?" Sora repeated, knocking on the door once again, "It's Sora! I'm home!"

Still nothing.

Curious, Sora's hand went for the doorknob, and found the door unlocked. Cautiously, he opened it and went inside.

It was empty. Sora looked around at the house, looking for signs of life. Nearly everything was the same as it was before Sora's life took an untimely turn, but that wasn't the strangest part. When he stepped inside, a cloud of dust forced him to cover his mouth. He waved his hand to shake it off, before noticing that nearly everything was covered in a layer of dust.

That's strange. What had happened here?

"Mom?" he called out, "Mom, are you home?"

No response.

"Mom!" he yelled out, "It's me, Sora! I'm back!"

Still nothing. Where had she gone? Sora looked around, searching for any clues besides dust, but found none. Nobody had been here in quite some time. Worried, Sora walked upstairs to the bedrooms, checking both his mother's and his own. When he checked his mother's, he also saw a layer of dust around many of the objects, including the bed, which seemed to be fit for two people. He looked at it solemnly, reminded of his father's death, before turning his attention to the calendar that was in the room.

It was a year off... which only meant one thing.

Nobody had been in the house in a long time.

'No…' Sora thought aghast, 'It can't be…'

(Play: KH 2.5 Remix OST - Missing You)

Quickly, he dialed Riku and Kairi on his Gummiphone for a dual call, and was surprised when they picked up just as fast.

"Hey, Riku." Sora replied, "There's-!".

"Sora. I just got to my house." Riku said. He looked sad, "I've… got news."

"You too?" he asked. Riku nodded.

"What happened? Is everything alright?" Kairi asked.

"Our parents…" Riku replied, "They're… gone."

Kairi looked shocked through the Gummiphone. "Really?"

"No one's been inside our houses for a long time. There's a lot of dust inside Mom's room." Sora explained, "I don't know what happened."

Kairi looked crestfallen at her friends' news, "Oh no… I didn't know. Before you guys came back, I assumed it was because they had gone off on a trip and hadn't come back yet. Selphie told me that there were similar cases for some other families here too."

"So they didn't come back after we beat Ansem and our world was restored?" Riku asked.

"If what you said is true… I'm afraid not. I'm sorry…"

Sora felt his knees give up on him, and he slumped to the ground in shock. First it was his father, and now, his mother? Had he never encountered her Heartless and freed her heart? This… couldn't be real…

"Sora? Are you alright?" Kairi asked through the Gummiphone, concerned. He dropped it out of shock when he slumped to the floor.

"Y-Yeah… I-I'm fine." Sora said quickly, grabbing the phone, "T-That probably means we haven't encountered their Heartlesses or Nobodies yet. If we can find them, they'll be restored, right?"

"I hope so." Riku replied, "But Sora… if that doesn't happen… if we don't find them…"

"We'll find them. We have to." Sora sounded a bit desperate, clinging to that bit of hope.

He heard Riku sigh and then reply, "...Alright. Let's get some rest. It's gonna be a long day tomorrow."

"Alright, you two. Good night." Kairi said, though her voice still sounded concerned, "Sora…"

"I'll be okay… really." Sora said, giving a forced smile, "Goodnight, guys."

He ended the call after they replied in kind, and slowly walked out of his mother's empty room with a sorrowful look.

(Play: KH OST - Treasured Memories)

Sora found himself standing in his old room. It was exactly how he remembered it too. Clothes that were too small for him now were strewn across the room; a small desk with a lamp above to give him light in the dark to do his homework or planning; his bed was also in the same position as it was before, with the blanket tousled and the spearheads belonging to his father still in their bags leaning over one side of the wall, and… the window slightly ajar.

Just as he'd left it when he had jumped out of that same window and raced towards the smaller island when the Heartless attacked.

He had missed dinner back then, but that hardly mattered anymore.

Sora's old life felt like a lifetime ago, after what he had been through, but he still missed those simple times, a mischievous but good-hearted student who always followed his best friends around. Now, he was a Keyblade wielder getting ready for war.

A war that would decide the fate of all worlds.

Sora didn't mind. He was optimistic about their chances of winning… but he did have some hidden doubts that he hadn't dwelled upon for some time. After that run-in with Xemnas when they restored Roxas in Radiant Garden, Sora felt like this fight would be much harder than their last. Kairi had said so herself.

He brushed away the dust on his bed with an Aero spell, before lying down on the bed. It fit him still, but he could tell it would soon be time to get a new one.

Now with the possibility of becoming an orphan, Sora wondered how things would go out once the war was said and done. Where would he go? Would he ever find his mother again? Or was she...?

Too many thoughts. He took a deep breath, letting the smell of the ocean ease his mind and letting the thoughts drift off into the endless sea.

Slowly, he let himself drift off into sleep, the sound of the waves coming and going filling his ears. But not before a single tear shed down his cheek.

'…Good night, Sora…' he thought he heard a voice say softly, before sleep took over.

(Silence)

Fast forward to now. Sora was now looking at the woman in front of him, a look of shock on his face. Now he understood why he felt connected to her when they first made eye contact during the Demon Tide's assault. But could his mind really be playing tricks on him?

"A-Are you…" Sora began, as the woman herself was looking like she'd seen a ghost, "Are you… my mother?"

Those words snapped her out of her funk, as she looked at Sora with wide eyes. The elephant in the room had been addressed, and now Sora waited anxiously for any sign of reaction or realization.

Then, suddenly, her face became a stern glare, one that Sora was really creeped out at.

Uh oh… he gulped, as she stormed up to him and looked him in the eye as he shrunk a little in fear.

"You said your name was Sora, right?" she asked him, the glare never leaving her face.

"U-Uh… yeah… t-that's my name, ma'am… honest." Sora replied, now looking a bit afraid by this woman's presence. If Momo's confident aura reminded him of Aqua's, then this woman's aura threw both of theirs right out the window. At least in Sora's opinion.

Suddenly, they were at eye level, as the woman examined Sora's face, still dirtied and worn from his battle against the Heartless. Sora felt like her eyes were staring right into his soul, and that unnerved him even more. Despite that, Sora stares back at her, trying his very best not to break under pressure.

After several seconds of staring each other down, the woman's eyes soften.

(Play: KH 2.5 Remix OST - Friends in my Heart)

"It's really you…" she said breathlessly, "You're really here…"

"Come again?" Sora asked, looking surprised, before he was enveloped in a warm hug by the woman, shocking him further. He hadn't hugged someone since Kairi, but this felt different… like a warm blanket had been placed on him, making him relax and ease the tension he felt.

"Sora… my dear child… you're here." she said, her face filled with tears, "I thought I'd never see you again…"

"M-Mom… I…" Sora said, still in disbelief. Could it really be her? His mind was screaming its denial, but Sora knew, deep in his heart, that this woman was without a doubt, his mother. He hugged her back, tears of his own threatening to spill.

"I can't believe this… I didn't think I… I thought you were…!" Sora stammered, before shakily letting out a deep breath, "Forget it… I'm just so glad to see you again…"

"Me too, Sora… me too…" his mother hugged him tighter, and Sora let her. Mother and son had reunited, after a year apart. Tsukauchi simply smiled softly at the two, while outside the interrogation room, Mt. Lady was blowing her nose with tissue paper while Kamui Woods gave her a reassuring pat. Death Arms himself was wiping away a tear, and some of the officers couldn't help but smile at the reunion.

It took a while, but Sora and his mother broke apart, looking at one another again.

"I know you both have many questions for each other, and I'm happy that you were able to see one another again," Tsukauchi replied, making both of them look to the detective, "But I have a more pressing question than that for both of you,"

(Silence)

Sora calmed down with a couple of breaths, and listened as Naomasa continued, "We had a look through your items, and found some of them to be relatively harmless, so they aren't much of a threat.

"But we also looked through your electronic device, and found it to function like a phone, and we also found a database in there containing information about the Heartless, which confirms you have dealt with them before." Naomasa held out said device in his hand, unveiled from his pocket.

Sora froze. They had checked his Gummiphone. That could only mean…

"And in addition, we also found some… strange information about you…" Naomasa replied, "Information that fits and contradicts some of your claims about yourself, Sora. I looked at your mother's files as well. The ones we have on her, at least, and they also confirm that she has only existed as a person here for a short amount of time. I have a few questions about that matter." Sora looked to his mother, and then back to the detective.

"Why did you lie about yourself?" he asked him. Sora took a deep breath, and answered, "If I told you the truth, you wouldn't have believed me. I have secrets on that phone and about myself that I'd rather not share with the public."

"You can at least share those secrets with me, here." Naomasa stated, "I'll have the people outside leave if you wish. It'll be between you and me."

Sora looked at him, before looking back towards his mother.

"You're in good hands, Sora. Trust me. I've kept secrets like this before."

Sora then turned to the detective, and said with unusual seriousness, "The kind of secrets that, if they ever truly got out, would cause the world to end up in chaos?"

"Yes."

Sora sighed, before telling him his request, "Please make sure nobody else can hear us."

Naomasa nodded, before signaling for everyone outside the interrogation room to leave and not come inside unless instructed to. They all complied, and when Tsukauchi made sure it was just him, Sora, and his mother, he turned back to Sora, who was sitting down on the chair once again.

"Alright, Sora, it's quiet and private. What is your secret?" Naomasa asked him. Sora looked down for a bit, wondering if he should tell them. He had no other choice.

Let's hope Donald doesn't kill me in my sleep after this. Sora took a deep breath, and said simply, "Me and my mom… we're from another world."

(Play: KH 3 OST - Guardians of Light)

Naomasa stared at him for a few seconds, and then his face morphed into one of disbelief, "You're serious?"

"Yes. This is very sensitive information, practically forbidden, which is why I didn't want to tell you. Nobody from any of the worlds is supposed to know this other than Keyblade wielders like me," Sora explained.

"So you're aliens?"

"It's… complicated." Sora said, and began to reluctantly explain the concept of worlds, how they came to be, and how they were separated from one another. Each world had a heart, Sora explained, one which the Heartless were searching for, and that the worlds' hearts were protected by Keyholes, which, if left unsealed, would cause the entire world to crumble and be lost forever should the Heartless ever devour the world's heart.

He then went on to explain his Keyblade, which was actually not a Quirk, but rather a weapon created from the wielder's heart, and those wielders were tasked with protecting the balance and order of the worlds. He went on to explain how he got the Keyblade, which was very similar to his story that he made up to tell Naomasa earlier, minus the Quirk.

But Keyblade wielders themselves were few in number, after a terrible conflict known as the Keyblade War eliminated many of them ages ago. Sora explained that the Keyblade was the only real way to take down the Heartless for good, and if he could find this world's Keyhole and seal it, they wouldn't have to worry about the world falling to darkness.

Naomasa and his mother looked pretty shocked by this information, even more so that Sora himself believed this to be true.

"I know this is a lot to take in for both of you," Sora said, "But that's exactly why I need to keep quiet on the world order. Is it okay if I use my phone, sir?"

Tsukauchi nodded, giving it to him, and Sora navigated it to Jiminy's Journal, which recorded everything about Sora's own travels. "If you still don't believe me, there's proof right there. You can also look at the Memory Files on my phone. It should show my point of view on my adventures."

Naomasa looked through both, while Sora waited expectantly. He looked to his mother, who also looked really confused and lost, her hands were rubbing her temples.

"Sorry about this, Mom." Sora sheepishly replied, "I hope this isn't too much for you."

"Well… it is a bit far-fetched," she admitted, "But given what happened after those creatures came out of nowhere back home… it makes some sense."

"They attacked you, too?" Sora asked worriedly.

"Yes, but that was a long time ago." his mother sighed, "I'm just relieved that it's all over."

"Well…" Sora asked Naomasa, who had finished looking at the journal, "What's the verdict, Mr. Tsukauchi, sir?"

The detective took a deep breath, before telling the Keyblade wielder, "It matches up with what you said. The calls, the information, your memories, as well as the memories of these other Keyblade wielders. They're all ingrained into this phone. But I'm afraid I have to explain this to the higher-ups."

"I understand," Sora nodded, "And could you withhold the information about me being from another world?"

"I will do what I can. I'll make sure it stays between me and you, but it's likely I'll have to tell the chief of police my findings."

"That's enough." Sora replied, "Take my Gummiphone, though, to show him the information about the Heartless I've encountered,"

"Fair enough. And I have one last question, though I wish not to be rude," Tsukauchi asked, glancing towards Sora's mother, "Why haven't you left this world? You're a world traveler, correct? Surely, you have a means of leaving,"

"I'm stranded." Sora explained, "Just like my mom. All forms of worldwide travel that I know of are unavailable to me as of right now. Even I'm confused as to how I got here. I don't have a clear explanation for it."

Naomasa nodded, and then stood up. "Alright, Sora. Miss. If you'll excuse me. I must go and talk with the Chief of Police. I'll be back soon."

With that, the detective left the door, leaving Sora with his mother. The two of them looked at one another.

"Uh…" Sora started awkwardly. What was he supposed to say? It's only been a year, by the stars! It should be easy to talk with her! Surprisingly, his mother was at a loss for words as well. Sora fidgeted in his seat, looking left and right.

"Goodness, look at you." his mother finally said as she examined Sora's damaged clothes, "What did you even go through after all this time, Sora?"

"A... A lot of things," he replied, "I'm just lucky to get out of this one alive." He sighed as his mother took his hands, shaking her head the entire time. His right hand dried with his blood that he had coughed out. She also took some notice of what appeared to be a jagged scar protruding from his left arm. She sighed, "You're so stubborn, you know that? I swear, you get that from your father."

"...Sorry?" Sora asked awkwardly, and she sighed, "It's not your fault, son. I'm just relieved that you're really here, alive and well. I got so worried when those creatures attacked."

"Speaking of which," Sora realized, "How did you survive?"

She sighed, "I don't think I did."

"What?"

"Those little bug monsters... just appeared," she explained, "I heard screams from outside the house. They attacked before I could do anything, and everything went black the moment they plunged a hand into my chest. It was like this for me for a long time. Eventually I started to forget things… the people I knew… who I was… just the thought of forgetting it all was… unbearable."

Sora sighed. He understood what she was talking about, having lost his heart before.

"But then… after what seemed like forever, I heard a voice… and then I found myself here, lying on the pavement, with my memories intact."

Her heart must have been restored by him then, and if she had a Nobody, then Sora must have already beaten it as well. But if she was recompleted, why did she end up here, instead of the place where she'd lost her heart? Did this world call her here before Traverse Town or Destiny Islands did? It didn't make any sense...

"How long have you been here, Mom?" he asked her, deciding to hold the thought until a later time.

"Two years, Sora." she revealed, "For a time, I didn't understand what was happening. Our islands didn't exist anywhere in history. I wasn't a person that anybody knew. I was an alien. It was like I had..."

"Stepped into a new world."

She nodded, "Yes. It hurt even more when I realized you weren't there. I thought you died. I was alone, and there was nobody I knew here. It took time, but I was able to adapt to this world and find a place to stay, as well as find a job and make some friends. It wasn't easy…"

"I'm sorry, Mom…"

"It's alright. I'm just glad that I lasted this long. And now I learn that you also survived. You're actually here." she smiled softly, before looking at Sora. One moment, the two were staring at one another; the next, Sora felt something hard hit his head, and he yelped out in pain and clenched it. His mother had hit him across the head.

"OUCH! Hey!" Sora cried out, looking at his mother, who was rubbing her fist with her other hand, while Sora had tears in his eyes and a bump on his head, "That really hurt!"

"That was for missing dinner," she replied sternly, "And for trying to run away on a raft, for crying out loud. Of all the silly things you, Riku, and Kairi could come up with… What on earth were you three even thinking?"

Sora looked down a bit, before chuckling, "Yeah… I kinda deserved that."

His mother started to chuckle as well, before the two of them burst out laughing. It wasn't just for that punch to the head, but rather the laughter relieved what little tension was left between them, and finally things were no longer awkward. The two embraced once again, with more feeling than last time.

"I missed you so much, Sora." Sora's mother whispered. Sora smiled as he rested his chin on her shoulder, letting a stray tear fall.

"I missed you, too, Mom."

For the time spent waiting for Naomasa to return, Sora's mother asked him what had happened on his end, and Sora explained how he had gone to the islands to see their raft destroyed, the Heartless overrunning the island, and receiving the Keyblade right after Riku disappeared into a pool of darkness.

He also explained that Kairi also went missing, and he was forced to face a large Heartless until he and it were sucked up into the vortex that destroyed their home. He woke up stranded on a world known as Traverse Town, and met up with his good friends, Donald and Goofy. He reminisced about all the adventures he spent with them over the past two weeks after that, with its fair share of laughs and sorrows while he sealed the Keyholes to each world they visited. He also added that Riku had also survived their world's destruction, and was looking for Kairi as well, but to his shock back then, Riku had chosen a more... darker path to find her.

Then, he got to the point where he and his friends arrived in Hollow Bastion, where it was revealed that Riku was the one chosen by the Keyblade, and Sora had gotten it when Riku had given in to his darkness back on the islands. Riku took it back, leaving Sora with nothing but a wooden sword, his friends leaving him to follow the key under their king's orders. Regardless, Sora had pressed on with the help of his new companion Beast, for Kairi's sake.

He explained to his mom how he encountered Riku and his friends. Donald and Goofy had decided to stay with Sora instead of follow the King's orders, and Sora proved to the Keyblade (which was apparently sentient), that he was worthy of being a wielder despite not having been chosen, and the Keyblade went to Sora, abandoning Riku.

Turns out, Sora explained, Riku had been possessed by a creepy dude named Ansem, the man who was responsible for the Heartless, and Kairi was one of the Seven Princesses of Heart, maidens with hearts of pure light. Sora had fought the possessed Riku and won, and sacrificed himself to save Kairi by plunging the weapon Riku-Ansem had used into his heart, where it was revealed to be where Kairi's heart had taken shelter when the Islands were lost.

It was clearly obvious at that point of the story that Sora's mother was really lost, and Sora told her he would explain it later. It was complicated for him when he first heard it.

Anyways, when Sora sacrificed himself, he became a Heartless, but he managed to become restored to a human form thanks to Kairi's light guiding him back. After that, he, Donald, and Goofy went after Ansem and defeated him, while closing the door to Kingdom Hearts, where the Heartless were mainly coming from, and restoring the worlds lost to the darkness, including their islands.

(Silence)

"Goodness." she replied when he finished his tale, "And you weren't even done?"

"No. I still had to find Riku and the King, who were on the other side of the door." Sora explained, "But when we closed the door, the worlds were restored, and Kairi and the others made it back safely. Then me, Donald, and Goofy went off to find the others."

"I'm just stunned to hear that you killed yourself for Kairi,"

"Yeah… heh heh… there wasn't really any other option." Sora didn't want to have to explain the difference between losing your heart and having both heart and body destroyed, which was in this case true death.

"And the way you speak about her… Is someone developing a crush~?" his mother teasingly asked him.

"M-Mom! Don't say it like that! Kairi and I-!"

"Come on, admit it. Considering how much you and Riku fight over her, you like her as more than just a friend."

Sora grumbles in defeat, his cheeks red with embarrassment.

"Excuse me, Miss Nakajima? Sora?"

"Huh? Nakajima?" The two of them looked towards the source of the voice, which belonged to a man. Or rather, a humanoid dog. Following behind him was Naomasa, who greeted the two with a wave.

"Hello, young pup," the man greeted Sora, "You've caused quite a commotion here in Mustafu, woof."

"Sorry about that," Sora said sheepishly scratching the back of his head, "Who are you?"

"Sora, this is Mr. Kenji Tsuragamae, the Chief of Police here in Japan," Naomasa introduced him. Sora perked up and stood straight up like a soldier and bowed. "Oh! I didn't know that, sir. Apologies."

"Relax, Nakajima," Kenji assured him, "You don't have to display that much formality here, though it is appreciated."

"'Nakajima'?" Sora asked again, confused, before realization hit him, "Oh! That's my surname, right?". His mother sighed in response, but a smile was visible on her face.

"Yes. From what I heard from Tsukauchi, you always went by your first name, but never your last, which was likely why you forgot. I can understand, considering you thought you lost your mother to those Heartless fleas." Kenji glanced towards Ms. Nakajima.

"Yeah. But I'm glad she's okay now," he replied, before asking another question, "What are you doing here, Mr. Tsuragamae, sir?"

"I'm here to tell you the verdict, young pup." Kenji replied, "Tsukauchi informed me of your unique situation, so I assume that taking out those fleas was your job as a defender of the worlds, am I right?"

"Pretty much." Sora agreed, "But that doesn't excuse me from breaking your laws."

"No it does not, woof," Kenji agreed, "But… after careful consideration… and with the testimonies of other witnesses and Pro Heroes… we've agreed to exonerate you, Sora,"

(Play: KH 2.5 Remix OST - Sora)

Sora… was stunned. He was not expecting this. How could they let him go that easily?

"But, there is one condition I'd like to address, woof," Kenji added, and Sora scolded himself for getting his hopes high, "It involves those Heartless fleas you have dealt with."

Sora sighed, "Let me guess. You've caught wind of them in other areas?"

"Other countries, yes." Tsukauchi explained, "But Pro Heroes there have managed to keep them contained. However, we don't know how long we can hold out, considering that the Heartless are very resilient."

"I see…" Sora looked down, "I wish I could help… but I can't. Because of those Quirk restrictions, right?"

"Yes. I assume you know of our laws, right?"

"I had some help from a local library."

"Good choice, considering you're pretty foreign with modern technology." Naomasa said. Sora scratched the back of his head sheepishly. Before he got the Gummiphone, he had no idea or experience with technology unless he counted Space Paranoids, but even then he had no idea what Tron and the others said, and followed along as best he could.

"A library? Since when did you love to read?" Ms. Nakajima teased him.

"Hey! I can change after a year!" Sora groaned, "Besides, I needed information from a proper source. I didn't want to be rude and just ask some random stranger. Plus, I was alone, and without my own traveling companions to help cover for me if I slipped up."

"Of course they would have to do that. You do have a habit of not keeping your mouth shut on things like this. Guess some things don't change, Sora."

"Mom..."

Ms. Nakajima giggled at her son's embarrassment, and Sora himself couldn't help but chuckle along with her.

"So, young pup," Kenji asked him, "What will you do, now that you've been told of your verdict?". Sora put a hand to his chin thoughtfully.

"Well… I was planning to enroll in U.A. High to try and get a License," Sora explained, "That way I could do my job and help you guys at the same time without causing any problems like today. I'll keep doing so until my friends find me."

"A good decision. You do have three months before the Entrance Exam. Though that school isn't the best for nothing. It will be tough to get into, Sora," Naomasa warned.

"So I've heard," Sora grinned, "I'm ready for the challenge."

"Good to hear, woof." Kenji smiled, "Then it's decided. Sora Nakajima, with the approval of the Police Force, you are exonerated from your charge under the condition that when you graduate from the Hero Course, you will immediately work with law enforcement and do what you must to eliminate the threat of the Heartless in this world. Once that is done, you can continue on as a normal Pro Hero. I do hope that you can make it into U.A.. You have much promise with you, young pup."

"Thanks, Chief." Sora smiled politely, shaking his hand, "But if the Heartless do show up again before I graduate, know that I will do what it takes to protect myself and my friends."

"Fair enough, Sora. Make sure you do it under legal bounds or with permission from a Pro." Naomasa warned him again, "I wouldn't want our next meeting to be in that room."

"I promise, Mr. Tsukauchi, sir." Sora put a hand to his chest.

"I wish both of you a safe ride home, woof. And thank you for dealing with those Heartless fleas, young pup. It was much appreciated by the Police Force," Kenji bowed his head. Sora responded in kind.

"Keep an eye on your son and make sure he doesn't cause any trouble, Ms. Nakajima," Naomasa added.

"Please, just call me Shimizu, Mr. Tsukauchi sir," Ms. Nakajima replied, bowing to both of the officers, "I also prefer it that way, though Ms. Nakajima is also fine." She glanced over to Sora, "Don't worry. I'll make sure he stays out of danger."

"Thank you, Shimizu,"

(Silence)

Sora and Shimizu gave their final thanks to the Police officers, and after Sora got all his items back from them, both mother and son left the building, albeit with a few stares at Sora's damaged body. He helped his mother walk, as she had just come out of the hospital. It was evening when they exited.

(Play: KH BBS OST - Destiny Islands)

"So… where to, Mom?" he asked her once they exited.

"I would go shopping to find you some new clothes, but after what happened, I think we both need some sleep. So our next stop is back home." Shimizu stated, "It isn't much, but I think we'll manage. I don't have an extra bed for you."

"I'll sleep on the couch." Sora offered.

"That will work."

"It's gonna feel weird…" Sora said as they arrived at the train station.

"You and me both, son…" she agreed, "And you can let go now. I can walk just fine."

Sora reluctantly complied as they entered the train. The ride home was quiet, but it was a friendly sort of silence. Once they arrived back in Mustafu, Sora let his mother lead the way back to her apartment. They were right next to another apartment house that was owned by someone Sora couldn't read the name of.

"Come on in, Sora. Make yourself at home." Shimizu escorted her son inside. Like she had said, it wasn't much, but it was livable. Sora took a deep breath, and relaxed.

"It feels just like back at the islands. You sure did a lot of redecorating here," Sora complimented.

"I did what I could. I'm glad to see it reminds you of it." she smiled, "I made some dinner, but I wasn't expecting you to come along, so it's only enough for one."

"You can keep it, Mom. I already had a sandwich," Sora assured her.

"Then for heaven's sake, go and take a shower. You're still dirty from all that fighting, and your clothing stinks." Shimizu scolded him, "And make sure you take off your shoes. I wouldn't want the floor to get dirty either,"

"Will do," Sora nodded, and did both, taking off his dirty jacket and hanging it along the wall, "I won't be long,"

As Sora rushed towards the bathroom, Shimizu went over to get a spare pair of pajamas she had prepared for any guests. When Sora was done, she gave them to him, and he put them on while she ate dinner.

Finally, it was time to go to bed, though Shimizu insisted that Sora go first, and he complied, instantly falling asleep on the couch. As he slept, Shimizu put a hand on his own. She smiled softly, recalling how young Sora was when she last saw him. Two years later, and though that smile never disappeared, she could tell he has grown not just in body, but in spirit as well.

You're all grown up, my little Sora. She thought, I almost didn't recognize you at first. But now seeing you like this... even after all these years apart, you're still the little boy always looking for an adventure. I can see it, bright as day.

She looked over to the damaged outfit her son had worn, I don't know what you've been through, or what might be different about you, but that doesn't change the fact that you're my son, Sora. I love you. And I'm really proud of you. And I know your father is, too... wherever he may be. Don't ever forget that.

She kissed his cheek, "Goodnight, Sora."

And with that, she turned out the lights, leaving everything in darkness.

(Silence)

Chapter 6 complete!

I can't believe this... how is an interrogation scene harder to write than a fight scene? Probably just me. I'm not proud of this particular chapter either, since writing his arrest was a bit hard to handle. If I messed stuff up on how an interrogation and arrest works in Japan, let me know.

So yeah, Sora got arrested and interrogated by none other than Detective Naomasa himself, and Sora does say a small bit of the truth, as maintaining the world order is top priority, but when the police looked at his Gummiphone, he didn't have much choice after that.

On a happier note, we've got another surprise! Sora's mom is... alive?! And what the heck is she doing all the way out here? Whatever the case, she's gonna be a recurring character here in a World Beyond, finally reunited with her son! And of course, she does chastise Sora for missing dinner and trying to go somewhere without telling her. I mean, the dude was planning to run away with his friends on a raft, and by the looks of things, Sora's mom didn't think he would actually do it. Any parent would've been worried, then mad at their child when they come back after trying to pull something like that. I hope I did her character well enough, though we only got a snippet of who she's like in KH (which was only one line).

For those confused on why she's in Mustafu instead of Destiny Islands... it's not my secret to tell. The secret lies in words spoken by one long gone.

If you were wondering why I chose "Nakajima" as Sora's last name in this fic, that name roughly translates to "middle island," in Japanese, and Sora seems to be the middle child in the Destiny Trio, and the fact that he's also an islander, I assumed "Nakajima" fitted him best. I don't mind if you don't like the last name, because even with it revealed, Sora's still gonna have people call him by his first name. And in case you were wondering, I think Shimizu roughly translates to "clear water" (Correct me if I'm wrong).

Well, at least now Sora doesn't have to worry about lack of food and a shower now!

Now, onto reviews!

Wizardwolf 1020: Interestingly enough, I did, but it sounded too cliché for someone from another world to witness another's memories like that. But your guess is as good as mine as our story drags on. Keep in mind what I told Captain Imaginat in his Chapter 2 Review.

KingNice92: Thanks. I did what I could, though I do admit there could be things I could've done better.

Captain Imaginat: As much as I agree with your idea of heroism, keep in mind the world of MHA has 80% of people with Quirks, and as we have seen, not everybody uses their powers for the most noble reasons. The law restricting Quirks is to set up a boundary for people to see. A way to have some form of control in the world. Without it, there would be utter chaos nonstop. Though I will agree that those laws aren't completely excused for being a reason for the conflicts in that series. And remember what I said to you in Chapter 3. Don't expect everything you want to be in this story.

blueassassin996: Got tricked there, didn't you? No, they didn't find him yet, but they were, and still are in a sense, able to help Sora in their own way.

jikker jack: That's assuming he was there to see it all.

Blazer777: Yeah... I can understand if you're disappointed with how the last chapter went. Your reasons for why you've lost interest are your own, and I respect that and will not pry. Like I said before, this is my first story, and I can't satisfy everyone's expectations with what I have planned. Least I can do is show it and receive feedback, whether it be positive or negative. Regardless, I'm happy you read it when you did and saw potential, and I hope you'll find stories better than mine in the future!

Guest: I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. Stay tuned and stay safe!

LanceSennin: Yeah, I don't like the MHA system either, much, but you have to admit the government did what they could to maintain some form of order in this super empowered world. The fact it stood the test of time after the age of Vigilantes says much about it.

CallofRanger13: Thanks for that. And don't worry about Blazer and his review. I'm sure he had good reason for leaving this fic, and I can't do much about it other than apologize. Other than that, I'm happy you enjoyed the chapter, though I will admit there are some things I could've done better.

The OC Maniac: Thank you so much for the support, and don't sell yourself short. The fact that I was inspired to make this story because of yours proves that you yourself have made a magnificent story of your own. I can't wait to see more from both May Your Heart Go Beyond and Obi's Other Apprentice, and take as much time as you need for both. I'm glad you're looking into this story, and I won't force you to keep reading it even if the story goes down a path you're not really interested in.

What did you think about this chapter? If you enjoyed it, that's good, and if not, then I'm sorry if it didn't meet expectations.

Thanks for reading, and until our paths cross again.
