Lee looked quickly at the girl sitting in the seat next to him, curious about her as she rummaged through the CDs she found in the car's glove compartment, all from old and forgotten bands.

- ... what does it mean, "explicit language"?

she asked suddenly, drawing Lee's attention.

- It means it has swear words in it.

He replied lightly, raising his eyes to the sky and sighing slightly, he turned the wheel and slowed down, parking on the side of the road. He turned his body and picked up the map that was on the back seat of the car.

- But why? Swearing is bad.

He said, putting the CD back in the glove compartment.

- For various reasons, but usually it is for lack of different words to explain what they feel, or because they simply want to.

He answered simply, putting the map back in the back seat of the car, taking his pistol and putting his machete in his waistband.

- Ready?

He asked, watching as the girl picked up the knife they had found.

She took the blade hesitantly, not quite sure how to use it, but Lee had told her to keep the knife with her for safety.

- Yep.

She answered, opening the passenger door and getting out of the car.

Lee looked once more at the small camp he had made, just in front of a river. It had been a while since he had encountered any walkers wandering aimlessly there, and personally, he would rather sleep in the woods than spend another minute inside that car, even if it was safer.

Clementine was sitting by the fire, watching the river. It wasn't dark yet, they had a few more hours of light, so she was enjoying the beautiful view that nature provided.

It was beautiful, to say the least, and reminded her of how things used to be.

Lee noticed the melancholy and nostalgic look on the girl's face. Looking around, he picked up a large, apparently very sturdy stick, and with his machete, he began to carve it.

The sound of the blade cutting the wood attracted the girl's attention, and she looked at him curiously.

- What are you doing?

She came closer, looking at the blade in Lee's hands.

- A primitive spear, my grandfather taught me how to make one when he took me fishing when I was a kid, it would be better with bamboo, but this will do.

He replied, looking at his small wooden carving, it didn't have to be beautiful work, if it pierced a fish's body, great.

- Do you want to learn how to fish?

He asked with a small smile, watching Clementine's excited nod.

He folded up his pants and walked to a certain part of the river, with the girl following him.

Lee raised his spear and held it with both arms, looking calmly at the few fish that swam around him near the shore.

His eyes focused on one particular fish, not very big, but big enough.

In one swift movement, he plunged the spear into the fish's body, and pulled it quickly out of the water, hearing Clementine's surprised gasp.

- Wow.

she said, looking at the fish on the end of the spear.

- See, it's not that hard, just take it easy and try not to spook the fish.

He caught the fish with his hand and threw it into a bucket near the shore, handing the spear to Clementine shortly after.

- Hold on tight, spread your legs a little wider.

He instructed, standing behind the girl as he helped her.

After some time explaining a few things to her, she makes her first attempt, but misses.

- Damn.

She complains, grimacing in disgust as she watches the fish move away.

Lee laughed lightly.

- Hey, believe me, it took me a long time to catch my first fish like that, I couldn't sit still, I always scared them away.

He comforted, adjusting the girl's position again.

After a few more tries she finally managed to catch her first fish, which was the size of Lee's hand.

The girl looked surprised, excited, and happy that she had succeeded.

- I caught one!

she exclaimed, taking the fish in her small hands and watching it for a while, then throwing it into the bucket.

- Like I said, it's not that hard, now we have a meal.

He smiled at the girl, who smiled back, genuinely excited.

- What else did he teach you?

She asked, handing the spear to Lee, who took it and threw it near the camp.

- A lot, but there is one thing in particular...

He crossed his arms and put one of his hands on his chin, with a thoughtful expression.

- Like what?

She asked, staring at him.

Lee looked up at her, giving her an amused smile.

- Fishing with bare hands.

He replied, widening his smile a little more as he saw the girl's curious expression.

- Barehanded? And how do you do that?

She asked, and soon after, she gave a surprised little cry when she felt Lee grab her by the waist and lift her in the air, and soon after, she felt her body being thrown slightly into the water.

She stood up, wiping the excess water from her face, and listening to Lee's loud laughter.

She lifted her head, looking defiantly at Lee, pretending to have an irritated expression.

Clementine then took an amount of water in her hands and splashed it in Lee's face, repeating a few times, it wasn't much, but she had no other way to get her little "revenge".

- We still have light, how about a little dip?

He asked, feeling really excited about that little moment of peace, they deserved it.

He took off his shirt and threw it close to the camp, jumping into a deeper part of the river, feeling Clementine's intense and hesitant gaze on him.

-What's wrong?

he asked, standing up and approaching the girl, who was hugging his arm against her body, embarrassed.

- I... I can't swim.

She said, lowering her eyes a little, but raised them again when she heard Lee's little chuckle.

- I'll teach you, come on, it's not that hard.

He said, raising his arms toward the girl, who looked at him a little hesitant, but grabbed him.

- Hold on to me.

He said, and took a few steps back, letting the girl get used to the water, and stopped when he saw that the water hit her a little above her chest.

Lee moved a little closer to the girl, holding her more tightly.

- Move your legs, as if you were pushing yourself away from the water.

He instructed, and the girl obeyed.

As she moved her legs, Lee moved farther and farther away from the shore, into the middle of the river, moving sideways while Clementine still moved her legs.

- Ok, here...

Lee pulled her close to him and placed his hand on her stomach, supporting her to float on the water.

- Let your legs and arms go straight, forward, then move your arms as if you were drawing a heart around yourself, and close them just below, at the same time moving your legs in the same way.

He instructed slowly, watching the girl do as she was told.

As she moved, he supported her on the surface of the water, gradually releasing his hand from the girl, letting her make the movements on her own.

At first the girl was afraid of Lee's lack of touch, but she was getting used to it as she moved. After a while she began to smile as she noticed the way she was moving.

- See, again, like I said, it's not that hard.

He swam calmly beside her, still supporting her gently, but hardly touching her.

A warm smile was present on both their lips as their eyes met, happy with each other's presence.

They spent some time in the water, relaxing, enjoying their time together, until the sun went down and they were forced to go to the camp.

That would be a moment that would stay in their minds forever.

Lee opened his eyes at once, feeling that excruciating pain in his chest, and in his abdomen.

He turned over with difficulty, groaning as the pain increased.

Looking down hesitantly, he despaired as he saw the enormous amount of blood that was on him, the amount of blood coming out of his wounds.

He had been shot.

Only now did he realize it.

Only now did he notice how serious his situation was.

"Clementine."

He thought, looking away with difficulty, feeling his heart beat faster as he saw that the girl was gone.

"No."

He thought, trying desperately to move, ignoring the absurd pain he felt at the moment.

Lee dragged himself heavily towards the car he had parked, it was far away, he had run a long way, but if that man hadn't taken the car, it would be his only chance to get Clementine back, his only chance to recover, at least a little, because the car was still full of supplies.

He breathed heavily, and his nervous eyes turned to the bodies next to him, which began to move again.
