Lee crawls with difficulty, groaning loudly due to the sharp pain spreading through his body.

His eyes were focused on the pistol in front of him, lying on the ground, belonging to one of the men he had killed.

Behind him, footsteps slowly approached in his direction, the sound of leaves moving and branches breaking were followed by groans of pain, both from the approaching walker and from Lee who was dragging himself.

Grabbing the gun with his right hand, Lee turned quickly, almost screaming in pain as he did so. He raises his pistol and shoots the approaching walker in the head, then he shoots the other two walkers further back, sighing a little relieved to see the motionless bodies.

Dragging himself up again, Lee picks up his machete, and with great effort, he stands up, leaning on a tree.

Lee begins to walk, forcing himself to keep going with each step he takes towards the car.

His vision was getting blurred, but he didn't stop, he wasn't dead yet, and he had promised Clementine that he would keep her safe until the day his heart stops beating.

He was feeling his body go numb, his chest felt like it was exploding with pain, but he kept walking, anyone who looked at him now would mistake him for a walker.

Lee continued walking for minutes that seemed like hours, pushing himself harder and harder with each step he took, until he finally saw the car parked up ahead.

Breathing deeply and with difficulty, Lee groans in pain once again as he sits down in the driver's seat, closing the door soon after.

He then turns around, picking up a first aid kit right next to the map in the back seat.

It wouldn't be much, he needed a hospital, but at least he wouldn't die in that place, and he mentally thanked Katjaa for teaching him a few things when Kenny was shot.

(Far Cry style)

(I am not a doctor, don't take it too serious)

Lee took his machete and cut off his top clothes, analyzing the state of the wound on his chest.

"Great, the bullet is lodged in my chest."

Analyzing his abdomen, Lee mentally curses as he cleans the wound, making a large bandage and placing it around them.

The ones in his abdomen were the least os his concern at the moment, it was the bullet in his chest that really concerned him.

Luckily, the bullet wasn't too deep.

Lee sighed and picked up a pair of pliers, he stared at the object in his hands for some time, mentally preparing himself for what he was going to do.

Taking a deep breath, he put the pliers to his wound and began to search for the bullet, groaning loudly in pain as he moved the object through his flesh.

After a while, he finally finds the bullet, and pulls it out, watching the bloody metal object with trembling hands.

He tosses the pliers aside and grabs some items from the first aid kit, puts pressure on his chest and bandages his wound.

Lee feels dizzy, turning around again, he grabs some cans of food and a couple of granola bars, along with a bottle of water.

He had lost a lot of blood, and a lot of energy, he needed some time to recover, and after that, he would leave as fast as he could towards Savannah.

IF he were lucky enough to manage to stay alive until then.

Clementine stared at a fixed point in the room that the stranger "arranged" for her, not caring about the pink decoration with princesses painted on the wall, or the dolls and toys scattered around the room.

Her golden eyes stared wide open at a dark spot in the room, her mind remembering every moment, every second when Lee was shot, every talk she had with the stranger, and every "kind" word he had ever said to her.

"Liar."

She thought, running her trembling hands over her face, feeling that suffocating urge to cry rise in her throat.

The door to the room opened, and Clementine looked neutrally at the approaching stranger.

- My little princess, it's time for dinner with your parents, they are so excited.

he said, in that disgusting tone that Clementine grew to hate with each passing second.

But even though the man was a liar, and had tricked her, she couldn't help but feel at least a little curious about her parents, even a little excited.

Her parents might be alive, and maybe they could help her get out of there, get away from that man.

Or rather, kill him.

She knew that Lee would kill him.

Even though Lee said he had spared the St John's lives, she knew that he left them to the walkers, even if indirectly, he killed them.

And he' d killed so many other people, so many other men who had threatened her safety.

"Why can't I do the same? He killed Lee."

She thought, remembering the class she had with Lee.

Remembering when she learned how to kill.

She hoped her parents would be willing to help her.

Getting up against her will, the girl walked past the stranger, ignoring the hand he held out towards her.

- Oh Clem, so sweet, so perfect, my daughter will love you, you two can become best friends.

he said, completely ignoring what the girl just did.

He took her hand firmly in his, holding her tightly and preventing her from letting go, and walked briskly down the hallway of the huge school.

- You know, I always wanted twins, but my baby, Lizzie, was the only gift I could get, until I met you, Clem.

he said, somewhat nostalgically, emotionally, with his sick eyes focused on the hallway they were passing.

When they reached the cafeteria, the man opened the doors with a certain violence and nervousness, walking ahead of Clementine, blocking the girl's view of the place.

- Well, Clem, say hello to your parents.

He said, with a tone as sickly as before, a smile so cold and cruel that it made the girl feel shivers in her body.

Her golden eyes focused on the table in front of her, and an expression of terror came over her face.

A sharp, desperate scream came from the girl's throat when she saw her parents sitting at the table.

Or what was left of them.

Both her mother and father were tied to the chair, their eyes dead and their mouths now devoid of lips, trying to bite the piece of meat that was on a plate in front of them.

Her mother's jaw was long gone and her bloody tongue hung out.

Her father had part of his torso exposed, the meat and his organs were gone, leaving only his ribs exposed, showing his lungs and his stopped heart.

Clementine began to cry again, and she collapsed on her knees as she saw the scene in front of her.

Her parents were dead.
