Lee watches closely the movement of the men up ahead. He was hiding on the second floor of an abandoned building, looking out the window as the men searched the empty street for supplies.

Carley- Are you sure you want to do this alone? I can help you down there.

The woman next to her spoke softly in his ear, also watching the men ahead.

Lee- I'm sure, stay here and cover me, the same way we did before, besides, there are only three of them.

He replied, turning away from the window quickly and walking out of the room, avoiding stepping on the bodies of the walkers they' d killed when they arrived.

Lee made his way around the building through a side alley, walking crouched and silent. After a while, he managed to flank the men, and slowly approached the man furthest away.

He was the one with the radio, as well as the one with the heavier firearm, a shotgun.

- Haven't you found anything yet?

he shouted, leaning against a car and looking boredly at his companions who were searching the interior of a store.

- Shut up,".

One of the men shouted from inside the store, causing the guy with the shotgun to laugh slightly.

- Why don't you quit your nagging and come help?

Another male voice shouted from inside the place.

- Because someone has to cover for you two assholes.

He shouted back, laughing at the "fuck you" he got in response.

Lee took advantage of his distraction, grabbed his machete, and looped his arm around the man's neck and choked him, causing him to drop the shotgun to the ground.

With one swift movement, Lee drove his machete into the man's chest, throwing his body to the ground soon after, and driving his machete into his head.

Lee took the radio that was in the man's waistband and put it in one of his back pockets. He picked up the shotgun from the ground and walked calmly to the store.

Two shots echoed down the empty street, Lee left the store shortly after these shots, walking towards the building that Carley was in.

Carley- I don't know if I am impressed, or scared at how easily you killed those men, but who am I to judge.

She said, looking at him with a strange expression on her face.

Lee- Oh Carley, I know how you feel, believe me, I'm scared of myself.

He said, putting two pistols in his backpack beside Carley.

Carley- The other two guys, was it really necessary to kill them?

She asked, taking the radio from Lee's hand and putting it in her pocket, right next to another radio they had taken earlier.

Lee- No, and that is why I am scared.

He answered simply, lowering his eyes to the ground for a few moments, and then picking up his backpack and leaving the building.

- Hours later.

Lee checked the ammo in his pistol and put his machete on his back, so that it would be easier to run if something went wrong.

Molly put a few pistol magazines in her backpack, putting it on her back as soon as she had checked that she had everything.

Carley had a displeased look on her face, even though she had agreed to the plan, she still had that bad feeling in her chest, but tried not to think about it.

Duck- Are you sure I have to stay here Lee? I mean, I already know how to use a gun, and a knife if I need to, I've even killed walkers with Carley, I can help.

The boy approached Lee, staring at him with pitying eyes. Lee would smile, if it wasn't for the situation they were in.

Lee - No Duck, it will be very dangerous down there, shooting a walker, and shooting a person is totally different, the burden that will fall on your back is heavy.

He replied, and the boy bowed his head, disappointed.

Lee gave a slight sigh and crouched down to Duck's height.

Lee-Look, I know you're worried about your father, but that place, Duck, is dangerous even for me, and you have my word that I will do what I can to help Kenny. Besides, you have another job here.

The boy looked at him, a slight tinge of curiosity running through his gaze.

Lee- The noise of the bell will attract a lot of zombies, hopefully you won't run into too many, so while Carley is busy with the radio, you will be in charge of protecting her, don't take too many chances, but do as I have taught you and you'll be fine. Can I count on you?

He stood up, without looking away from the boy.

Duck- Okay, sure.

He answered, apparently convinced.

Lee was pleased with the boy's response, and turned, looking quickly at Molly who was waiting in front of him with her arms crossed.

Lee- Ready?

He asked, taking one of the radios and putting it around his waist, with the channel already tuned, Carley would listen to the other channels, and report to Lee on the private channel.

Molly- I should be asking you this, since you're the one who's going to get the hard part.

Lee nodded at her, and his eyes focused on Carley, who was walking toward him a little hesitantly.

Carley- If something happens, I won't be able to help you from so far away...

She said, with a sad expression on her face.

Carley- But, I know you won't change your mind. Be careful down there.

She hugged him for a while, trying not to worry about the bad feeling that refused to leave her chest.

Lee- Thank you. You already know where to find us, I'll be back with Clementine.

They parted, and Lee turned, walking beside Molly toward the forest exit.

"Or Clementine will come back without me."

He completed mentally.

Lee, though he didn't show it, was afraid, of course he was, he was still human. He was afraid that Clementine was already dead, afraid that the plan would fail, afraid that something would go wrong.

But the strange thing was, he wasn't afraid of dying, if that was his day, so be it, it made him smile humorlessly.

"I never thought I would become a suicidal asshole."

He thought, shaking his head to the side, and chasing away those negative thoughts that flooded his mind.

Molly- You know, you're different from the assholes I've ever met.

The sudden voice of the woman next to him brought Lee out of his thoughts, causing him to look at her.

Lee-What do you mean?

He asked, looking at the empty street in front of him, and focusing his eyes on the manhole not far away.

Molly- I don't know you very well, but from the little I've seen, I've noticed that you're a guy that people respect, and you're also a leader, a suicidal one, but a leader, unlike some of the other assholes I've met.

She said, opening the manhole cover with her pickaxe and going downstairs soon after.

Lee - Me? A leader? I'm not meant to be a leader, I just do what I think is right.

She replied, putting the lid back on and walking down the stairs.

Molly- Really? Well, let's see, you arrived here practically a day ago, you didn't knew anything you didn't know anything about Crawford, and right in the first minutes you already thought of a plan to infiltrate the place, and you already put this plan in action, you' re smart, again, different from the desperate idiots I've met.

She said without looking at him, attentive to the little movement ahead.

Molly- Or maybe, I'm just stupid enough to believe that your plan could work, hmm, getting into a place with hundreds of people without being seen, maybe I'm as crazy as you are.

She laughed humorlessly, killing a zombie in the hallway with her pickaxe, and walking on again.

Lee- The plan is risky, I know that, but I have a reason for it, something that keeps me going. But I still can't understand how you took it so easily. There's nothing there that's important to you, is there?

He asked confused, looking at the woman beside him, who smiled slightly and looked sadly at the floor.

Molly-... Like I said, that asshole Kenny saved my life, and I'm not like the other assholes who took over the world, I owe him.

She answered, but Lee wasn't very convinced by this answer, but he let it go, it wasn't his business, and he wouldn't force her to talk.

Molly- Okay, here's my stop.

She said, looking at the stairs ahead and putting her hand on one of the steps, turning to Lee.

Molly- Remember, wait a few minutes until the guards come in this direction, the place where you will leave is farther away, so you will have to run to the main building, time is short, they are many and the chances of you being seen are high, good luck.

She said with an amused smile, turning and walking up the stairs.
