Michaela looked to her right and saw Ben fast asleep and when she turned her head the other direction she saw the Cal had joined his father, so she had no one to talk to. Michaela had tried sleeping but it just wasn't working. No matter what she did she was too nervous and excited to sleep. She so badly wanted to talk to Jared, kiss him, hold him close and never let go. How could she have been so stupid to not answer him on the spot when he asked her to marry him. Of course she wanted to, but after everything that had happened there was something that day at the park that was holding her back, that prevented her from telling him yes, telling him how happy she was and that she didn't know why she was so lucky to have such a special man like him love her so completely despite everything she had done.

Michaela sighed. Lourdes, her best friend, how she had so wanted to share her exciting news with her but Lourdes and yet here she was stuck on this dumb plane for another couple of hours. 3 hours had never felt so long to her before. She just wanted to be back on the ground with all her loved ones next to her and to let them all know that she had said yes to the man that she so loved with all of her heart. To let her mom know that there was going to be a wedding, something for the family to celebrate. Although Michaela still didn't understand why she had to get married for the family to celebrate, she didn't mind being the center of attention occasionally.

Michaela decided to stop turning her head from side to side and she took out her tablet and began looking at pictures. Some of her as a little kid in her uniform. Some with Evie, some with Lourdes, some of all three of them, they used to be so close. The three of them were all still close but it had changed it was no longer Lourdes, Evie and Michaela. It was now Lourdes, Jared and Michaela. Michaela knew that Lourdes was jealous of her relationship with Jared, but being the great friends they were all Lourdes ever told her was that she should know how lucky she was that Jared loved her back. She continued looking at pictures, her parents, Ben, his family and then she stopped when she started looking at pictures with Jared. How happy they looked, both she and Jared. And her heart couldn't stop dancing and singing. She so badly needed to talk to him but she still had to wait a little while longer.

All of a sudden the plane started shaking, at first it was barely noticeable, and Michaela breathed in deeply. She hated turbulence but at least the plane hadn't fallen out of the sky. The next shake was a bit stronger but the third one felt like it lasted 10 minutes, the lights were flashing, things were beeping, both Cal and Ben were woken up. The overhead compartments opened and things fell out. Things on the tray tables went flying across the cabin and then just as quickly as it all started, it was over. Michaela and Ben looked at each other and signaled they were okay and Michaela was thankful they were all good and she just prayed for them to finally land, when the captain got on the loudspeakers and made an announcement.

Captain Daly: So sorry, ladies and Gentlemen we just experienced extreme turbulence from a sudden spike that wasn't there earlier on the radar. Please rest assured that everything is okay and we expect to have a smooth thirty more minutes to this flight.

Ben: Wow! That was intense. I've never had turbulence like that before.

Michaela: Yeah, I agree. Me neither

Ben: Are you sure you are okay?

Michaela: Yeah, I think so. What about you?

Ben: I'm good. Shaken but I'm really okay. I will definitely breathe easier once this plane is firmly on the ground in JFK

Michaela: You, think?

Captain Daly: Once again, please accept my apologies but I have just been informed by air traffic control that we have been diverted to Stewart airport.

Michaela: Stewart airport? Where's that?

Ben: I'm not sure.

Michaela: Why would we be rerouted? Is anyone even going to know where to pick us up from?

Ben: I have no clue Mick why. But mom and dad only landed several hours before us. I see no reason why they wouldn't know where we were landing.

Michaela: I guess your right. I was just really hoping I would get to see Jared tonight.

Ben: You can still go over to his place when we get back to the city.

Michaela: I don't know Ben we were supposed to be landing close to midnight in JFK. I have no clue where Stewart airport is, if it is even in New York. I just want to be with Jared already.

Ben: I know you do Mick, don't worry about it. It will all work out. I promise.

Michaela: I wish I had your confidence.

Cal: Dad, Mick look we are landing.

Just then they heard the screeching of the tires and plane jolted forward before it slowed down and they were all able to relax.

Captain Daly: Ladies and gentlemen, sorry for the inconvenience again but we have been asked to please leave all your personal belongings behind on the plane and you will be getting off one at a time as soon as your name is called.

Michaela: Now I'm really confused. When have they ever done this before?

Ben: As far as I'm aware never. Why don't you try and see if you could reach Jared and see if he knows what's going on.

Michaela: Sure.

Michaela took out her phone and tried calling Jared only to have it go straight to voicemail.

Michaela: That's weird he sent me to voicemail. He's never done that before.

Ben: Did he reply to your text earlier?

Michaela: No, nothing. Do you think something happened. Should I be worried?

Ben: Right now I'm not assure of anything.

One by one the stewardess had called the passengers off the plane. Those who traveled alone were called by themselves while those traveling together were called together. After almost 2 hours Michaela was relieved to hear their names being called.

Stewardess: Michaela, Benjamin and Cal Stone.

Michaela: That's us, finally. I'm dying to get off this plane and find out what's going on.

Ben: I am so with you Mick. Come Cal lets go.

They walked off the plane together and followed the stewardess to a security guard who then escorted them to a whole group of agents. Mick saw some as NSA, FBI, DOJ, and NYPD. She was completely confused and worried but they followed in silence hoping someone would inform them of what was going on. They were brought into a white tent with a long table and were told to sit on three chairs on one side of the table on the other side of the table was a big guy who looked super scary and then he started talking.

NSA: Hi, What are your names.

Ben: Benjamin Stone

Michaela: What exactly is going on here? Why are we being interrogated like regular criminals. Im NYPD.

NSA: I know who you are officer Stone, and no badge in any department will help you out of this.

Michaela: Help us get out of what?

NSA: Look, I don't know exactly what has happened here and where you've all been for the last 5 years but if you think you can make a plane disappear and then land back in my country with no questions asked well let me remind you officer, I'm the one in charge here.

Michaela: What exactly are you talking about? We took off in Jamaica about 5 hours ago.

NSA: Right, right. That what you've all been saying its only been 5 hours. How can it be 5 hours if we are currently in the year of 2021

Michaela: 2021! That cant be, we left Jamica in March 2016.

NSA: Look around you officer, this is not the winter and it is not 2016. Your plane, you, all the passengers have been missing presumed dead for over 5 years!

Michaela: 5 Years! How can that be? I'm not sure what kind of trick this is, but we have not been flying for 5 years. Its been 5 hours. Please I just want to talk to my fiancé.

NSA: Detective Vasquez?

Michaela: Yeah, how did you know?

NSA: Trust me, everyone who worked on the planes disappearance knew about you. It was all Vasquez would talk about before he vanished completely.

Michaela: What do you mean vanished?

NSA: For over 3 years Detective Vasquez spent every possible moment trying to figure out where the plane went so he could bring you back home. One day when we were still no closer to figuring out where you were Vasquez never came back to work. His phone was dead, going straight to voicemail and no one has heard or seen him since.
