Still looking at his reflection in the water, Kenny sighs as he stares at the small bandage over his nose. A consequence of the fight he had a few hours ago with a bunch of strangers.

After a few seconds, he shakes his head to the side, pushing aside those thoughts that insisted on appearing in his mind. He takes a small amount of water with both hands and splashes it lightly on his face.

After drying himself off, Kenny gets up and turns around, walking towards his two friends, who were sitting on some folding chairs around a fire, cooking some fish.

- Have you stopped grumbling, Grandpa? - Molly asked shortly after Kenny sat down.

The man looked at her for a few moments, wondering if it was worth answering that little tease.

- Hey, you're not the one who got hit in the face. - He replied a few seconds later, noting the small amused smile that broke out on Molly's lips.

- It's a shame we couldn't help that woman.

Lee said with a sigh, picking up the fish over the fire with his knife and taking a generous bite, staring into the dancing flames.

- It's a real shame, but I'm not surprised. People have managed to prove themselves worse than walkers. The dead don't scare me as much as the living.

Molly said, also taking her fish and starting to eat, giving a quick glance at Lee, who seemed trapped in his own thoughts.

-This just makes me more worried about my boy.

Kenny said after a few minutes in silence, his eyes focused on the ground while his mind was flooded with thoughts about his son.

These past few months, he couldn't stop thinking about his boy. The shit he saw, the shit he did, only made his chest tighten in worry at the thought that his son would be doing and seeing the same things. No child should have to go through something like that.

In fact, no one should see the things he saw, or do the things he did, but that was the reality of the world.

-Yeah, I understand you. But we can only have faith in them. They are strong children.

Lee replied, taking a quick look at Kenny.

Like his friend, not a day had gone by that Lee hadn't thought about Clementine.

She had seen too much already, and although he had taught her enough to take care of herself, it was impossible not to imagine the things she would be dealing with at the moment.

The things she has done, will do, has seen, will see.

That feeling of not being able to help her made him feel worthless, and it was almost as torturous as being shot or having your arm cut off by yourself.

In fact, it was worse than those two things put together.

- You always talk about them so vaguely. I get curious too, you know.

Molly said, leaning back in her chair and alternating her gaze between Lee and Kenny, who looked at her curiously.

- You always talk about them in such a... I don't know, precious way? But you never really talk about it, or about yourselves. I feel like I'm surviving with some strangers.

She said as she noticed the men's gazes, watching with a certain curiosity the small smiles that broke out on both their lips.

- Well darling, you don't usually talk about yourself either, at least not more than necessary.

Lee said, leaning his body slightly forward and resting his arm on his knee, looking amused at Molly.

-Good point.

She said, looking down in defeat.

- What do you want to know about us? I mean, besides the fact that I once caught a shark, there's nothing very interesting about me.

Kenny said, throwing the stick that had served as a skewer to the side, crossing his arms and leaning his back on the chair.

- Did you catch a shark?

Lee asked, looking curiously at Kenny.

- Oh yes, it was a tiger shark. It was supposed to be just another day of fishing, as usual. I was leaning my leg over the side of the boat. I pulled the net full of fish in, and it was only when the net was on the floor of the boat that I saw this huge beast struggling inside. It almost took Jeff's leg off, the poor bastard. He's always been a little distracted.

He said, looking up with a nostalgic look, and even an amused smile on his face. It was strange to talk about the past, it seemed so far away, and at the same time, so close.

It was confusing, to say the least, and neither Lee, Kenny nor Molly could tell if this was a good thing or a bad thing.

- There was also the time when I was teaching Duck to swim. He was afraid of the water, so I pushed him off the boat, it was a shallow place, but he was so desperate he didn't even notice.

Kenny said, giving a slight laugh as he remembered that day.

- I pulled him by the arm and made him stand up. The look he gave me when he realized it wasn't that deep...

Kenny said with a nostalgic smile on his face, feeling the longing tighten even more in his chest.

- Father of the Year. Almost makes me thankful that my dad didn't teach me how to swim.

Molly said with a slight tone of irony, but her eyes widened slightly when she realized what she had said.

- You can't swim?

Lee asked with a mischievous smile on his face, almost mocking Molly with his gaze.

- Hahaha, don't worry, neither can zombies. Although I think even they can do the basics.

Kenny said, mocking Molly, laughing slightly at the middle finger the girl threw in his direction.

- What about you big guy? Do you have any interesting stories?

Molly asked, looking at Lee, who seemed to think for a moment.

-My brother joined a rescue team to look for himself once.

He said, smiling slightly at the memory. His smile widened as he saw the incredulous looks on Molly and Kenny's faces.

- No shit...

Kenny said, leaning his body forward slightly and resting his arms on his knees.

- It was his 20th birthday, we had been drinking a lot, I decided to stop, but he and his friends kept drinking. Time went by, they got even drunker. Buddy left to go to the bathroom, he was taking too long so we started to get worried.

He started, laughing lightly at the memory of his drunken brother, feeling the longing pounding in his chest.

- We went looking for him, but nothing. We searched everywhere, every room, under the beds, his friends even looked in closets. My worried mother called the authorities. In the end, he had only stumbled, and decided to take a nap from under the bed.

Lee shook his head to the side, closing his eye slightly as he remembered that moment.

- Hadn't you guys looked under the beds for him?

Molly asked, crossing her legs and resting her head on both hands.

- Yes, but there wasn't much visibility in the place, and since Buddy was ... "Urban" ... you couldn't see it.

Lee said, looking at Kenny with an amused smile.

- You're never going to let that go, are you?

Kenny asked, putting one of his hands on the back of his neck and looking down a little embarrassed.

- Anyway. He woke up with all the noise and joined the rescue team. I noticed, but left it alone, his friends were so drunk they didn't even notice when they talked to him. Buddy wasn't much different, and didn't even realize that they were talking about him. I just watched things go on, trying hard not to laugh at his face.

He finished telling the story, laughing lightly at what had happened. After a few moments, he lifted his head, and looked at Molly.

- What about you?

He asked, watching Molly carefully lift her head and sigh, somewhat embarrassed.

- I was arrested once.

She said after a while, and both men looked at each other, surprised.

- Okay, I'm curious.

Lee said, leaning back in his chair and staring at Molly.

She sighed again, bowing her head slightly and looking at the floor.

- I was in charge of making the Christmas dessert a few years ago. The recipe said it needed a glass of brandy, but I decided to add more, since it was a dessert for many people. In the end, I switched the desserts for the adults and the children, and all the children at the party got drunk.

She said, a little embarrassed, not lifting her gaze, but focusing on continuing to stare at the floor.

- My parents yelled at me, and one of the parents of the kids called the police. I was in jail for a while.

She said, still looking at the floor, but a low noise caught her attention.

Molly lifted her face, grimacing when she saw that Lee and Kenny were holding back from laughing. However, as soon as they saw the look on her face, they both started to laugh.

- How the fuck can anyone make a mistake like that?!

Kenny asked, putting one of his hands over his eyes, trying to calm the laughter that escaped his mouth.

Molly just rolled her eyes.

- Ha ha ha, very funny. Go ahead and laugh.

She said wryly, although she had a small smile on her lips.

- Sorry... sorry...

Lee tried to excuse himself, taking a deep breath and calming down, trying to stop laughing.

He lifted his head, looking up at the now dark sky, focusing his eye on the stars that shone in the darkness of space.

- Okay, I'll stand guard first.

He said after a while in silence, getting up and pulling his chair into a corner of the makeshift camp, where he had a full view of the camp.

- I'll be right after, Molly can be last.

Kenny said, getting up as well and walking toward a fallen log, using his backpack as a pillow and propping his head up.

Lee watched the flame of the fire for a while, until his eye focused on Molly, who had laid down a few steps away from him, just like Kenny, using her backpack as a pillow.

- What the fuck?

Kenny asked, looking with his binoculars at the place where the fire had taken hold.

- Helicopters still work?

Molly asked, looking at the place where the helicopter had just crashed, being consumed by flames that were spreading more and more.

-maybe there is still someone alive.

Lee said, looking for some way to enter that infested airport. The walkers had been attracted by the noise of the helicopter crashing into the ground, it was a good opportunity.

- I don't see anyone pal, at least not alive.

Kenny said, lowering his binoculars and watching the walkers walk toward the noise. Since the helicopter had crashed on the roof, the zombies on the lower floors were somewhat confused about where to go.

- Still, it would be good to check, damn, I can't even remember the last time I saw a helicopter.

Molly said, grabbing "Hilda" from her backpack and also looking for an entrance.

- Besides, we're kind of running out of supplies. An infested place like this, there might be a lot of stuff left that they couldn't get.

Lee said, taking the knife at his waist and looking at a lone walker that was approaching.

He walked towards the body and stabbed it in the head. Soon after, he plunged his knife into the stomach of what had once been a man, and cut it open, grimacing as he felt that rotten smell rise up and irritate his nose.

Kenny looked at him for a few moments, and then sighed, walking towards Lee.
