Lee dodges a cutting attack aimed at his head from the man in front of him.

He counters with a kick to the leg, knocking him down.

Quickly, Lee takes the bone from his waist and tries to pierce the man's stomach, but he is forced to jump back, dodging another machete attack from another man.

Lee heard some grunts behind him, the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end.

He turned quickly, stabbing the bone into the forehead of the approaching zombie.

Looking forward again, he sees the two men running toward him.

Lee pulled the bone from the zombie's forehead, grabbed the corpse firmly behind him, and threw it toward one of the men, forcing him to stop.

However, the other continued advancing toward him. He tried to cut Lee in the throat, but Lee dodged, crouching down.

Taking advantage of the man's opening, Lee punched him hard in the stomach, making the man bend over as all the air was forced out of his lungs.

Lee stands up, headbutting the man, he puts the bone in his jacket pocket and grabs him by the shirt and throws him towards the zombies. Watching the man recover and begin to kill the dead that were beginning to surround him.

The audience screamed louder, Lee could see people jumping and screaming in excitement. Glancing around, Lee saw Victor being grabbed by a zombie. As Victor struggled to get out of the grip of that dead hand, one of Badger's men approached him from behind.

Lee ran toward the man, piercing his chest with the bone he had in hand.

The man looked wide-eyed at Lee, who just punched him, and picked up the machete that fell to the ground.

Lee turned to Victor quickly, killing the zombies that were grabbing him with his newest machete.

Victor looked at him for a few moments, grateful, and mostly surprised.

Lee looked away again, just in time to dodge another sharp attack coming his way.

There were three of Badger's men left, the fourth was still on the ground, in agony with a bone stuck in his chest.

Lee dodges another attack, and counterattacks, trying to pierce the man's neck. However, the man sidesteps and punches Lee in the stomach, who bent over as he groans in pain.

He tried to stab him, however, Lee recovered quickly and turned his body to the side, dodging the attack. Taking advantage of the momentum, Lee spun his body once more and kicked the man in the stomach, as hard as he could.

The man falls to the ground, trying to catch his breath.

Lee was about to kill him, but Victor was quicker and stepped on the man's forearm, taking the machete from his hand and stabbing him in the head.

Lee and Victor looked at each other for a while, and each nodded to the other.

They turned and leaned their backs against each other. Lee faced the man further ahead, who was dealing with some zombies, while Victor faced the last man, who was also escaping the grasp of some dead hands.

- Use the zombies! Try to camouflage yourself among them! Let's take them to the guards and take their weapons! I'll go to Badger, you concentrate on freeing the others!

Lee said quickly, and advanced towards the man, not waiting for a response from Victor, who did the same.

The plan had to change, shooting Badger was too risky, plus he might just kill the girls.

The man was startled by Lee running towards him, he grabbed a zombie and threw it at Lee.

Lee stabbed the zombie in the head, and pushed his body to the side, without slowing his speed much.

He looked wide-eyed, and out of pure reflex, dodged the man's piercing attack, aimed right at his stomach.

Lee goes to the side, and kicks behind the man's knee, causing him to fall.

Looking around quickly, Lee thinks about another part of his plan.

At the moment, the man was lying facing the guards. The zombies were walking right behind Lee, some were busy eating the two men on the ground, and others were heading towards Victor, meaning he had some time to put his plan into action.

Lee tries to kick the man on the ground in the face, but he sidesteps and stands up, counterattacking with a punch to Lee's face.

He staggers slightly to the side, and recovers quickly, just in time to dodge another machete attack.

The man kicks Lee in the stomach, too fast to dodge.

Lee bends forward, and throws himself to the side, rolling on the ground, escaping being stabbed one more time.

The man runs toward him, and quickly, Lee kicks him in the leg, just below the knee, causing the man to stagger forward, but not fall.

Seizing the opportunity, Lee runs toward the man and literally pushes him forward, right on top of one of the guards.

Taking advantage, Lee stabs the second guard in the neck, turning around soon after and pushing a zombie on top of the two men who had fallen to the ground.

Victor arrived at his side in a matter of moments, covered in blood. The man bent down and picked up the rifle from the ground, beginning to shoot at the guards in the audience.

- Just go!

Victor shouted, killing a zombie with his machete, and using his dead body as a support to shoot at the guards, while using the surrounding zombies as shields.

Lee looked at him for a few moments, curious. But soon after, he ran down the corridor, his eye focused on the doors ahead.

In just a matter of seconds, the place was in chaos. People were trying to run towards the exit, only to be caught in the crossfire. Victor made sure to destroy the fence that separated the bleachers from the arena, leaving the zombies loose in the audience.

That just went to show how easy it was for a situation to get out of control.

Lee crouched down, dodging a punch thrown by a guy in front of Badger's office door. In one swift movement, he stabbed him in the stomach, only to later remove his machete from his body and stab him in the head, killing him.

Lee kicked open the office door, his eye went wide and he threw himself to the side, dodging the shots that flew in his direction.

- Ahahaha, I knew right away what kind of man you were, partner!

Badger shouted from inside the room, still shooting toward the door with his pistol, laughing loudly, as if he was enjoying the situation.

Badger grabbed the rifle beside him and ran towards the door, but Brenda put her leg in front of him, causing him to trip and fall face first onto the floor.

- Fuck, Brenda!

Badger shouted, turning and aiming the rifle at the girl, but was surprised when Alice jumped on him and pierced one of his eyes with her fingers.

A high-pitched scream came from Badger's throat, and he began to struggle violently, even starting to punch Alice, who refused to get off him.

A punch hit the girl's face, blood dripped down her nose, and her attacks temporarily ceased.

Lee took the opportunity and ran towards Badger. The man heard his footsteps, turned his body to the side, forcing the girl off her feet, and stood up, dodging Lee's attack, and counterattacking with a punch to his chest.

Lee takes a few steps back, but recovers quickly, in time to dodge a punch from Badger.

He looks down at his newest machete, which had stuck itself in the closet just behind his opponent.

Lee tries to punch Badger in the face, but Badger dodges, crouching down, and counters with a hook.

However, Lee also dodges and lands a powerful punch on the man, sending him backwards with brutality.

The sound of Badger's back crashing into the cabinet was loud, so loud that it almost drowned out the footsteps approaching from behind him.

Lee turned around quickly, only to be hit with a punch to the face from a man, probably one who was in the audience, and who had somehow managed to get out of there.

Lee recovers quickly and kicks the man in the leg, bringing him to his knees. Taking advantage, Lee punches him hard in the face, throwing his body backwards with blood dripping from his mouth.

The sound of the man's nose breaking with his punch was strangely satisfying to Lee.

Badger recovers and looks at Lee. He runs to the side, toward his rifle on the ground. However, Brenda stops him, throwing herself at him by grabbing him around the waist, knocking him down.

- Argh stupid bitch! Let me go!

Badger shouts angrily, starting to punch Brenda wherever he could, be it in her hidden face, or in her stomach.

He lands an elbow to Brenda's forehead, causing the girl to moan softly and her grip to become a little weaker. Badger grabbed her by the hair, and punched her in the face, causing the girl to fall to the side.

Lee ran toward Badger, but the man he had knocked down stopped him, grabbing one of his legs before he could get close.

Lee glared at him angrily, and kicked him in the face with his free leg. Looking away, his eye falls on a pen on the table beside him.

Lee picks up the pen and crouches down beside the man, and without hesitation, pokes the pen into his eye.

A high-pitched scream came from the man's throat, and Lee just took the pen from that bloody eyeball, and stabbed the man in the neck with it, multiple times, until there was a large amount of blood around it, enough that the man couldn't get up and died from blood loss.

Lee stands up with his bloody hand and walks angrily towards Badger, who was still beating Brenda.

He kicks the man in the face and grabs him by the shirt, forcing him to stand up.

Brenda stands up, groaning in pain slightly as she looks with some pleasure at Badger, who is being beaten and tossed around by Lee as if he were a rag doll.

Alice stood next to Brenda, looking amused at the scene ahead, not caring about the brutality of it.

Lee was punching, kicking and throwing Badger to the side as hard as he could.

Blood was spurting everywhere, making the place look macabre.

Lee landed a punch to his stomach, making the man bend over. Then he grabs Badger's face, covering its entire length with his hand, and in one swift and powerful motion, slams the man's head into the next window, shattering the glass with his skull.

Lee walked to the side and repeated the move, breaking the next window. Getting tired of doing that, Lee pulls Badger back again, knocking him to the ground.

He walks over to the man, grabs his arm with his one hand, and steps on his shoulder.

In one simple spinning motion, Lee breaks Badger's arm.

Another sharp scream came from the throat of the man, who was covered in blood, his face slightly disfigured.

Lee looked at him with contempt, tired of that man.

He lifts him up by his shirt and forces him to walk to the window he was leaning on a short time ago.

And without saying anything, Lee throws him out the window, throwing him into the hungry zombies that surrounded the place.

He stared at the zombies for some time, listening to Badger's desperate screams as he was devoured alive.

Lee turned around a short time later, walking towards his machete, stuck in the closet, and looking at the two girls.

- Are you all right?

His eye fell first on Alice, the little girl was wiping the blood from her face and looking excitedly at Lee, even a little proud, strange as it seemed.

Then he looked at Brenda. The girl had a few cuts and bruises on her face, but she had a relieved smile on her lips, not seeming to be too bothered by the pain.

- Well, you look terrible.

He said amused, fixing the machete at his waist, because unlike the one he had before, this one didn't have a sheath.

- Well, you don't look so good either.

Brenda said, broadening her smile.

Only then did Lee feel the pain of his newest injuries, only then did he feel the blood drain from his face.

It brought back memories for him.

Being covered in his own blood, as crazy as it seemed, was almost normal to him by now.

And he had officially gained a few more scars for his collection.

- Come on, we have to go. Get the rifle.

Lee said, walking over to the closet and opening it, looking around the place for any firearms. Surely Badger must have one hidden there. Besides the pistol without bullets that was on the floor.

Brenda picked up the rifle and stood up, looking at the gun in her hands, a little confused. She had never shot a heavy gun before.

- Don't worry too much. It's not much different. The recoil is stronger, but you get the hang of it. Put it on your shoulder.

Lee said, walking over to the girl and teaching her how to use the gun, at least the basics. She still needed experience with it.

Then he walked over to the office desk, opening one of the drawers, and sighing, almost relieved, to see a pistol with some bullets in it.

He picked it up, and handed it to Alice, who was standing next to him, seeming to watch every move he made.

- Let's go.

He said, opening the office door, looking into the corridor, and leaving, heading for the further exit.

(A few minutes later...)

The trio snuck through the trees, trying not to get lost in the darkness of the forest. There was still a little sunlight, but night was coming faster than they thought.

As soon as they left that soccer field, they had to go around the forest. The zombies had come out through the fences, and were chasing who was still alive.

Lee killed everyone he saw so far. He killed men, women, young, old, everyone who crossed his path.

Without pity.

Those people did not deserve his pity, did not deserve his mercy.

He didn't stab them in the head, he left them behind, bleeding to death, he left them to come back as zombies, although he thought something like that was still very generous.

Brenda didn't say anything, in fact, she even seemed willing to help him. But Lee stopped her.

He didn't want the girl to become a small version of him. She had to kill out of necessity, at that moment, Lee was not killing for survival.

He was killing because he had made his own judgment for those people, and he knew that well.

But he didn't care.

Alice looked at him in that same strange way, as if she enjoyed watching him kill. And each time she got that glint in her eye, Lee worried.

Some bushes beside them moved, and the three of them crouched behind some trees nearby.

Alice aimed her pistol at the bushes, as did Brenda, who did the same thing with her rifle.

Victor, followed by three other people, came out of the bushes, and aimed his rifle at the girls as soon as he saw them, surprised.

Lee came out from behind the tree, and he lowered his gun, relieved.

- Going back to the factory too?

He asked, observing the state of the trio, surprised to see that even the youngest girl had blood smeared on her face, along with a bruise.

- Yes. I didn't know you still wanted to go back there.

Lee said, looking at the survivors.

When he was in that container, he counted eight people, including the children, only four were in front of him now.

Victor, the blond boy who told him about the soccer court, the woman who was also angry with him earlier, and a boy, maybe the same age as Alice.

- They have vehicles, trucks that we can use to get back to our group. And you?

Victor asked, staring at Lee, slightly thoughtful.

- There are still guards there. People from a terrible community. I'm going to kill them, get what I can from those supplies. There is a car parked in the forest, we will leave as soon as this is over.

Lee said, also looking at Victor, expecting a look of rebuke, of surprise, maybe even hesitation from them.

But none of them seemed to be bothered by the idea that he was going there just to kill some people.

They agreed that those men deserved to die.

- Well... I have to thank you. You're pretty tough, especially considering that you don't have an arm and not even an eye.

Victor said, extending his hand toward Lee, who shook it firmly.

Victor was a tall man, as tall as Lee. He had short dark military-style hair, a short beard, and brown eyes. He looked between 35-40 years old.

- No need to thank me. My life was at risk there too.

He said, nodding slightly to Victor, as he turned his gaze to the small dirt road.

- You're a little crazy, but you did good. I'm Zoey.

The woman introduced herself, also extending her hand to Lee, who promptly shook it.

She had short red hair tied up in a small ponytail, brown eyes, delicate features, a very beautiful woman, even more so considering that they were in an apocalypse.

- I'm Zack.

The blond boy said, looking a little hesitant at them, a little shy.

-... Francis

Lee looked at the other boy, just after he heard his downcast voice. This one was more serious, and even a little sad. Lee recognized those eyes, a defeated, tired look.

He felt sad to see something like that in the eyes of a child.

- I am Brenda.

The girl next to him said, and Victor looked at her, curious that such a young girl was holding such a heavy weapon.

- Alice.

She introduced herself, in her lively way.

- I'm Lee.

- Well, nice to meet you, Lee.

Victor said, just before turning when he heard footsteps approaching from behind them.

He raised his rifle toward the sound of footsteps, Lee raised his machete and crouched down, walking slowly toward the next tree, while the rest moved away, and those who had weapons pointed them forward.

A man came out from behind a tree, following the dirt path. He was slightly startled to find himself face to face with so many people. And so many armed children.

- Scott?

Victor said surprised, lowering his gun and straightening his posture. Zoey stood beside him, also looking surprised at the man named Scott, who smiled with relief.

- Holy shit guys! All that shooting was your doing?

he asked, somewhat excited and even a little surprised, approaching his companions happily.

- What are you doing here?

Zoey asked, looking at him confused.

- We came to look for you. You guys have been gone for a while. We were in the area when we heard the gunfire, the screams. We ran into a soccer field infested with zombies. We saw some people going into the forest, so we decided to check it out.

He explained, placing the rifle on his back as he looked at the woman, turning around just after he finished speaking.

- Guys! I found them!

he shouted, looking back to where he came from.

Soon other people approached, surprised and relieved to see their companions.

Lee looked curious at all this, it is rare for reunions to happen in that world.

Especially when part of his group is kidnapped by crazy people and thrown into an arena full of zombies to fight for their lives.

Yeah, reunions of that kind were definitely rare.

Lee sighed softly, wondering what his reunion with Clementine would be like.

He wondered, how was she?

Had she become even more beautiful than before?

She must have been bigger since he had last seen her, had she changed a lot?

Was she already starting to collect scars, just like him?

Would she recognize him? After all this time? After having changed so much?

It was torture not knowing those answers, but he smiled at the thought of meeting her again.

-... Lee...?

A female voice brought him out of his thoughts, a somewhat familiar voice that he hadn't heard in a long time.

Lee raised his head and looked forward, his eyes widening as he recognized that face, even after so long.

- Lilly?

He asked, just as surprised as the woman looked.
