heat (summer)
The summer heat sticks on your skin. You don't know how this all began. You really don't. But when he kisses you, you always forget. You forget everything. Your absent mother, your busy father, your so-called boyfriend. His kisses leave you in a haze. Breath is hitched as he brushes his lips over yours again. His hands are cold and cool over your hot skin.
sound (summer)
His voice is like crashing tides against oceans. It whispers in your ear, secrets and promises. He strokes your hair as you lay in bed together. Tangled legs and hands twined together. This time, he whispers that he loves you.
secrets (ryan)
You think they suspect something. Because whenever she disappears somewhere, Marissa looks at you. Her blue eyes stare at you, almost challenging. Seth doesn't speak to you all that much anymore. He is awkward around you and sometimes he just stares. It's always a look of regret. Maybe sadness. Or betrayal. He stares you at now. You follow her anyway and mutter some excuse. You don't think they believe it and the slightest hint of disappointment crosses your girlfriend's face. She simply pours another cup of whatever alcohol is near by.
touch (ryan)
Her dress is silky. It feels soft and good against your fingertips. She smiles and asks if you like the dress. You say you do. She looks beautiful tonight, her hair tumbles down her shoulders and her cheeks are flushed. Seconds later, her lips crash against yours. Her tongue slips in and there's that furious battle of tonsil hockey. Her dress disappears.
love (summer)
It is quiet now. His sleeps next to you, his arm curls possessively around your shoulders. You inch closer to him. Warmth radiants off of you. He stirs and his eyes flutter open.
Ryan, I love you too.
