In deep space, a fleet of starships filled with Gordanians were lining up in formation as they prepared to take off. In front of them floated Blackfire, the rogue Tamaranean, who had a sinister grin on her face. She held up a communication device and spoke to its recipients.

"Are all Gordanian soldiers present?" she asked.

"Yes," replied a voice.

"Are all ships prepared to take off?"

"Affirmative."

"Are your weapons at full power?"

"Of course mistress?"

"Excellent."

Blackfire pushed a button on her communicator so all of the Gordanians could hear her.

"It is time. Today will be a day of victory! Today will be a day of success! And most importantly, we will have our revenge on my sister! She and her friends will not stand a chance against us!"

The Gordanians cheered in excitement as Blackfire led the way towards Earth while they followed her in their ships. It was going to be a long trip, but that wouldn't matter. The Titans had no idea they were coming, so that automatically gave Blackfire and her army the advantage.

"Get ready, sister," she thought. "You are in for a big surprise."

(CUE THEME SONG)

INVASION

At Titans Tower, Starfire was in her room speaking to Galfore through a holographic projector. She had always kept in touch with him since she joined the Titans, and now was the time for them to catch up.

"The Psions returned?!" has asked her.

"Yes, Galfore," she replied. "And they tried to use the people of Earth for their experiments. It was Blackfire who had informed them of their existence."

"Those horrible creatures," he growled. "I had hoped they learned not to mess with little Bumgorf after all those years ago."

"Do not worry, Galfore. My friends and I were victorious."

"Yes, but I-"

Galfore was suddenly interrupted by a fit of coughing. Starfire didn't like the sound of it.

"It seems I must be the one who worries about you," Starfire said as Galfore cleared his throat. "Are you alright, Galfore?"

"I am perfectly fine, Koriand'r," Galfore insisted. "This illness is not something I cannot withstand."

"But you are getting older, my K'norfka," reminded Starfire. "It is important that you take care of yourself."

"I know, but I can only focus on so much as the Grand Ruler of Tamaran. I am always busy. Our planet could be invaded at any time. By the time I have any time to spare, I am too tired to do anything."

Starfire felt a weight of guilt pull on her heart. After she overthrew Blackfire, she had left Galfore in charge of Tamaran so she could live her life on Earth. Starfire wondered if she had made a selfish decision that day. Sure, she didn't believe she was fit to be Grand Ruler, but it was her birthright, even if the throne was never meant to be hers in the first place. Maybe putting an older man like Galfore in charge wasn't the right decision? Galfore wasn't getting any younger, and what would happen if he were to pass away? Who would rule Tamaran then? Blackfire was out of the question, and Wildfire's whereabouts were still unknown. Maybe she would have no choice but to-

"Is something the matter, Koriand'r?" asked Galfore.

Starfire was snapped out of her thoughts as Galfore spoke. She quickly thought of a response.

"Um, well, I am wondering if you had any news for me regarding Wildfire," she replied. "I miss him dearly, and he is the rightful ruler of Tamaran. You will be able to give him the throne if he is found."

Galfore closed his eyes with a somber look on his face. He sighed dejectedly.

"Galfore?"

"That is why I called you today, Koriand'r," he said. "But it is not ideal."

Starfire looked at Galfore with dread in her eyes.

"And before I tell you, I would suggest you sit down," he added.

Starfire walked to her bed and sat down, bracing herself for the bad news.

Starfire was in tears for two hours after her conversation with Galfore, but she finally pulled herself together, joined the other Titans on the couch and told them the news about Wildfire.

"Your brother's dead?" asked a surprised Robin.

"Yes," replied Starfire, trying not to cry. "He has been for a long time. He was meant to be the next Grand Ruler of Tamaran, but my parents had sent him away to an unknown location as our planet was threatened by the Gordanians. But the Gordanians and my sister found him shortly after on the planet Kuraq, and they annihilated him. Galfore's soldiers found his corpse yesterday."

The Titans were shocked. How could Blackfire kill her own brother? What reason did she have to help the Gordanians?

"Wow, Star, I'm so sorry," replied Cyborg sympathetically. "I know what it's like to lose a family member, but I can't imagine losing as many as you have."

"Yeah, and the only one you have left is the black sheep," noted Beast Boy.

"But why, though?" asked Raven. "Why would Blackfire kill her own brother?"

"Because she was originally meant to become the next Grand Ruler of Tamaran, but that changed when Wildfire was born," Starfire responded.

"Why?" asked Robin.

"It is a Tamaranean tradition for the first born son of the royal family to become the next Grand Ruler, no matter how many older sisters he has. Eliminating Wildfire allowed her to be the heir of the throne again," Starfire explained.

"Wait? You're saying that Wildfire was chosen just because he was a boy?" asked an irked Raven.

"I can see that happening," said Beast Boy. "I mean it does make sen-"

But before Beast Boy could finish, he noticed the two female Titans giving him death glares. Robin and Cyborg sweated nervously in fear for Beast Boy's life.

"Uh," Beast Boy stuttered nervously, "I mean it doesn't make sense! Not at all! That's so not cool!"

Beast Boy looked at Starfire hoping his words would calm her down. Starfire just sighed.

"Yes. It is an unjust tradition, but my people grew accustomed to it. My father did not support it, but he did not believe breaking the tradition was best for Tamaran."

"But your father was the last Grand Ruler, right?" asked Robin. "Wouldn't that mean he had the power to break that tradition without any problems?"

"It is difficult, Robin." answered Starfire. "My father tried his hardest to please all of our people, but not all of them would agree on all things. He was afraid that breaking tradition would upset most Tamaraneans."

"Did he actually know what most Tamaraneans thought about it?" asked Raven.

"No. My people do not conduct votes like yours. Perhaps if he had known what my people truly wished for, he would have broken the tradition, and Blackfire would have been given the throne and she never would have betrayed Tamaran."

The Titans thought about Blackfire for a few seconds. They started to see why Blackfire was so difficult. Her birthright was taken from her all because of an unfair tradition. They wondered what else Blackfire had done to Starfire.

"Galfore had more of the news for me," she said. "He only confirmed my suspicions I had ever since the Gordanians invaded Tamaran."

"What did she do?" asked Robin.

"Friends, remember when we first met? How I was used as a slave for the Gordanians?" she asked.

The rest of the Titans nodded. That was a day none of them would ever forget.

"Well, Blackfire is responsible for that."

That reveal angered the Titans, but they weren't surprised. It seemed like Blackfire was responsible for anything that went wrong in Starfire's life.

"How did she do it?" asked Cyborg.

"The Gordanians intended to invade Tamaran for years, but our defenses were strong enough to prevent it. That is, until Blackfire supplied them with information on how to render them useless. When they attacked us, my parents were at their mercy. It was Blackfire who proposed the idea to my parents to trade me to the Gordanians so the Gordanians would leave in peace. They had no options, so they let the Gordanians take me. The emotions were too much for them, and they passed away shortly after. And I think you know the rest of the story."

The Titans couldn't believe it. Blackfire betrayed her family and her entire planet out of spite. And on top of that, she pushed Starfire into life as a slave. How low could she sink?

"Wow. Blackfire's like that spoiled kid whining about losing her favorite toy," Beast Boy said.

"Sounds like someone else I know when he loses the video game controller," said Raven to Beast Boy.

Beast Boy just rolled his eyes.

"It was not a toy, Beast Boy," said Starfire. "It was her birthright that was taken from her. It is understandable why she would be angry."

"Maybe," said Robin. "But that doesn't give her a reason for turning against Tamaran, or any of her other crimes."

"I know that now, Robin," Starfire replied. "She is my sister, but I will not have mercy on her any longer. She made the decision to betray Tamaran and kill Wildfire, and she will have me to answer to."

"I can't wait to see you whoop her butt next time she does something," Cyborg said with a grin.

Starfire giggled for a second.

"I feel the same way, Cyborg," Starfire replied.

Suddenly, the alarm went off and the screen showed Overload causing trouble.

"Looks like it's Overload again," Robin said. "Titans, Go!"

The Titans ran out of the tower towards the scene.

The Titans successfully took down Overload and handed him over to the police. They arrived back at the Tower in one piece. Robin went to work in the evidence room to keep himself busy. Starfire had noticed that her boyfriend had been spending less time with her since their battle against the Psions. It seemed like whenever Starfire wanted to hang out with Robin, he would tell her he was busy. Robin wanted to hang out with Starfire, but he didn't know how to date a girl who was willing to kill in particular circumstances.

Starfire opened the door to the evidence room to see Robin looking for something to work on, but since there were no looming threats or ongoing cases, there wasn't any work for him.

"Robin?'' asked Starfire. "Are you interested in the new Big Belly Burger? Cyborg says it is rather delicious."

"Maybe later, Star," responded Robin. "I'm kinda busy at the moment."

Starfire gave him a look. Robin looked down to his feet. He knew that wasn't going to push her out of his hair this time. He sighed in defeat.

"I'm sorry, it's just..."

"Are you still disturbed about what I did to the Psions?" she asked, cutting him off. "Is that why you are ignoring me?"

"No no no no no!" he adamantly replied. "It's not because I'm mad at you. I'm just...trying to find out how we can make things work between us, Star, even if we don't agree on something like that."

"Robin, those Psions were the only creatures I have ever annihilated," she replied. "I would not take a life unless I had no other option. Creatures like the Psions are too dangerous to be kept alive, but not all creatures are like that. Those are the ones that can be saved and redeemed. Including your people. I will never take one's life on this planet."

Robin looked at her carefully. He still didn't like the idea of killing anyone, no matter who it was, but he got a feeling of hope when she said she wouldn't kill anyone on Earth.

"Really?" asked Robin.

"I do not have the legal right to kill on Earth. I have never killed any of your people, Robin. I promise I never will, no matter how I feel about them."

Suddenly, Robin felt better. He finally heard something from Starfire he liked the sound of in weeks.

"Even someone like Slade?" asked Robin.

"Yes," Starfire answered with certainty in her voice.

Robin was finally able to smile. That was enough for him to give it a shot.

"Alright, Star," he said, taking her hand. "Burgers are on me."

Just as they were leaning in for a kiss. The Tower siren went off. Robin and Starfire went to the common room to see what the trouble was this time.

"What is it, Cyborg?" asked Robin.

"Looks like it's extraterrestrials, again," Cyborg answered. "And it looks a whole lot worse this time."

The Titans looked at the screen and saw a whole fleet of ships surrounding Earth. There had to have been at least a hundred of them.

"Dude!" cried Beast Boy in shock.

"Wait, those ships look familiar," noticed Raven. "Where did we see those ships before?"

"Those are Gordanian ships!" Starfire answered angrily. "They have returned, and they have a much bigger army than before. They must be searching for more slaves."

"Well, they aren't staying here for long!" shouted Robin determinedly. "Cyborg, the other Titans branches can probably see them. Let them know who we're up against. Tell them that the priority is protecting Earth's people. We don't need another rescue mission."

"Already on it!" replied Cyborg as he reached for his communicator.

"Starfire," continued Robin. We need to stop as many ships from landing on Earth as possible before they can land on Earth. You'll have to fight them from the air."

"Understood," nodded Starfire.

"The rest of you are with me," finished Robin. "Oh, and Star?"

"Yes Robin?"

"Be careful. It'll be just you up there."

"You, too."

"Let's go!"

While all the Titans, including the honoraries, spread across the world to protect Earth's people, Starfire made her way towards Earth's orbit to stop the invasion from going any further.

She floated in front of a group of Gordanian ships, and lit up her hands, ready to fight. The Gordanian ships armed their missile launchers, ready to attack,

"I would ask you nicely to abandon this invasion," she said to them. "But I suppose we must, as Beast Boys says, do this the hard way."

"I was about to say the same thing," replied a familiar voice above her.

Starfire looked up and gasped at what she saw. Her sister was floating on top of the Gordanian fleet. Blackfire descended down to where Starfire floated.

"Hello, dear sister," greeted Blackfire with false sincerity. "It is wonderful to hear your sweet voice again."

"It pains me to tell you I do not feel the same way," said Starfire with a glare.

"Oh, I am so hurt," replied Blackfire sarcastically. "I had hoped you would appreciate me reuniting you with the Psions. I am sure it brought back many pleasant memories for you."

"Those memories will not be as pleasant as the ones I will have about your defeat!" shouted Starfire.

Blackfire chuckled.

"Now how can you defeat me when you and your friends are outnumbered?" she asked.

Starfire wanted to mention how the Teen Titans had really grown their ranks since the last time Blackfire was on Earth, but realized it would be better to catch her off guard than let the enemies know who they're really up against.

"It seems we will soon learn how!" shouted Starfire as she threw a trio of starbolts at her sister.

Blackfire quickly shielded herself from her sister's starbolts with a force field of energy. She turned to the fleet of ships.

"Commence invasion!" she shouted to them. "I will finish her myself!"

With that, the Gordanian ships began to move past Earth's orbit and into the atmosphere, leaving the two sisters to fight it out.

Back on Earth, the Titans started to notice the Gordanian ship coming closer to the grounds of Earth, and they were ready for the upcoming battle.

Robin had just spoken to Starfire through their communicators.

"Looks like Blackfire's behind this invasion too," he told the others. "Starfire's fighting her right now."

"Man, that girl doesn't know when to quit," said Beast Boy.

Robin pressed a button on his communicator to do a roll call with the rest of the Titans.

"Titans East, are you ready?"

"Ready as we'll ever be, Robin!" Bumblebee responded with Aqualad, Speedy, and Mas y Menos by her side.

"Excellent. Titans South?"

"We are prepared," answered Pantha, who was with Herald, Jericho, Wildebeest, and Hotspot.

"Titans North?"

"We are in position," replied Red Star, who was accompanied by Argent, Kole, and Gnarkk.

"Everyone else?"

All the honorary Titans, which consisted of Bushido, Melvin, Teether, Timmy Tantrum, Bobby, Jinx, Kid Flash, Thunder, Lightning, Tramm, Killowat, and Wonder Girl, all answered the call in confirmation. That was everybody.

"Alright. Titans, Go!" shouted Robin at his communicator.

Cyborg had linked his cybernetic implants to Titans Tower, with his giant cannons aiming for the Gordanian ships. Beast Boy was in his werebeast form, which allowed him to take out more Gordanians than usual. Raven, Argent, Wonder Girl and Bumblebee took to the skies while Red Star had flown to the top of Earth's atmosphere to keep the Gordanians away. Jericho used his powers to possess a Gordanian and attack the others by surprise. Kid Flash and Mas y Menos were running all over the globe, protecting as many countries as they could. The twins noticed Kid Flash throwing lightning at the Gordanians after producing enough energy.

"Ooh!" they exclaimed in amazement. "Asombrosa!"

"Cool isn't it?" Kid Flash asked the twins as they ran. "When this is over, let me know when you guys want to race again. Not everyone can keep up with me."

"Si!" replied the twins. "Más y Menos, si podemos!"

Kid Flash laughed at the battle cry as they sped across the planet. The Gordanians were losing the battle. Blackfire had told them there were only five Titans other than Starfire, and they weren't expecting this many.

Back above Earth's orbit, Starfire and Blackfire were evenly matched, fighting with everything they had, refusing to give up. Their fight had moved towards Earth's moon. The Gordanians had radioed in that there were more Titans on Earth, and that they were struggling.

"Since when are there more than five Titans?" asked a surprised Blackfire.

"So much has happened since you were last here, Blackfire," smirked Starfire. "You know you can still surrender without making matters worse."

"That's one option," Blackfire said, unnerved. "Or I could just put my back-up plan into action."

Blackfire took out her Gordanian communicator and pushed a button. Starfire suddenly got anxious.

"Back-up plan?" asked Starfire.

"The Gordanians told me how you escaped slavery, and how you foiled their plans," explained Blackfire. "I decided to do the Gordanians a favor for a change. One of their ships has a much more powerful particle weapon than the one you ruined. This one is powerful enough to destroy the whole planet, and you have no idea which one it is."

Starfire scowled at her sister before charging into her and throwing her several feet across the moon. She quickly pulled out her communicator to let the other Titans know of the situation.

"Friends, we are in danger!" she yelled. "One of the Gordanian ships has a particle weapon that can obliterate Earth!"

Robin quickly answered.

"Any idea on which one it is?" he asked.

"No. It can be any of them," she replied.

"Anyone have any ideas on how to trace it?" Robin asked the other Titans through his communicator.

Cyborg checked his scanners to get a possible location.

"Guys, my readings are picking up something," he said through his communicator. "One of the ships is releasing a large amount of charged particles. It's somewhere in Steel City."

"I'm on it!" Speedy yelled from Steel City.

Speedy looked around the city for the ship with the particle weapon. They all looked the same, which wasn't helping, but he noticed one of the ships pulling out a huge blaster from the front. Speedy knew just the arrow that would help, but the ship was too high for his arrow to get close.

"I'm going to need a lift over here!" Speedy yelled to his communicator.

"I can help with that," replied a voice from behind him.

It was Wonder Girl, just the Titan he was hoping for. Speedy got on Wonder Girl's back with an excited look on his face.

"Hang on!" she said as she floated them towards the ship.

Wonder Girl noticed the way Speedy was looking at her.

"We can have fun later, Cupid," she said. "But now's not the time for the arrow of love."

"Sorry," replied Speedy, snapping out of his thoughts.

Speedy aimed his bow towards the ship's launcher. As he released the arrow, it went straight through the launcher's hole.

Suddenly, the ship exploded in a nuclear blast. The two Gordanians piloting the ship bailed in escape pods before the explosion. The whole ship fell straight into the river that bordered Steel City. Aqualad, who was managing that part of the city, and to move out of the way quickly. Wonder Girl put Speedy back on the ground as Aqualad noticed it was safe.

"Happy landings!" called Speedy to Aqualad.

"It would've been happier if the water had an umbrella," retorted Aqualad. "I'm going to have to clean up the mess you just made after this is all over."

"Hey! It's not like I put tar in the water," Speedy argued.

"Knock if off you two!" jumped in Wonder Girl before the argument could get worse. "We're not finished yet."

Speedy and Aqualad quickly shut up and got back to fighting the Gordanians quickly after that.

Back on the moon, Starfire and Blackfire were still fighting, and Blackfire had just learned that the ship containing the particle weapon had just been demolished.

"Impossible!" she yelled in frustration. "How can this be?!"

"Perhaps you are too confident, Blackfire," suggested Starfire. "You always think that victory is certain for you, even if you remain victoryless against me."

"That changes now!" snapped Blackfire, charging hard at Starfire.

Both sisters were exhausted, but that wasn't enough for either of them to think about quitting.

"I should have known it was you who organized my slavery to the Gordanians," Starfire said bitterly.

"I take it Galfore told you? Honestly, I am amazed it took you this long to learn the truth. Even I believed you were smarter than that."

"Perception is not always reality, Blackfire. Back when we were small, I perceived you as my older sister, who loved me, cared for me, and supported me. Even after all you had done as we grew bigger, I still believed so, until today, when Galfore told me the truth about Wildfire."

"You are unbelievable, Starfire," Blackfire commented as she rolled her eyes. "Of course I killed Wildfire! He stole the throne from me! I was supposed to be the next Grand Ruler of Tamaran, until he was born! I wanted the throne back, and killing him was all I had to do."

"Wildfire was not responsible for that, and you know it!" reasoned Starfire.

"You are right, it was father's fault. He cared more about everyone else on Tamaran more than he ever cared about me. I am glad he and mother fell the way they did. It serves him right."

Those words hit a nerve within Starfire. She blasted Blackfire with an energy blast at point-blank range. Blackfire yelped in pain from the hit.

"Cheap move, Starfire," she commented as she rose back to her feet. "Now I am done playing games."

"So am I," replied Starfire, as she fired an eye laser at her sister.

Blackfire fired back with an eye laser with her own. Both lasers collided with both sisters trying to blast each other backwards.

Back on Earth, the Gordanians were beginning to retreat. The Titans were overwhelming them, and it was only going to get worse for them if they kept trying. They ran back to their ships, and began to fly away from Earth.

"Booyah!" cried Cyborg over his communicator. "Earth is officially Gordanian-free!"

"Great!" shouted Beast Boy. "I've already seen enough aliens this month."

"Like that'll stop you from watching an alien movie tonight," said Raven sarcastically.

"It's not over yet," reminded Robin over the communicator. "We need to help Starfire."

Robin and his team headed for the T-Ship so they could join Starfire in space. The other branches of Titans headed for their ships, too.

Back on the moon, Blackfire had knocked Starfire to the ground. Her feelings turned from joy to anger as she noticed her army of Gordanians fly past the moon on their ships as they headed back to the Vega System.

"Hey!" she shouted to them. "I still need help here! Get back here you weak cowards!"

But, Blackfire's orders didn't stop the Gordanians, they kept flying until they were out of sight. This gave Starfire the chance to land a heavy punch to the back of her sister's head. Blackfire groaned from the heavy impact. When she turned around, she noticed four different spaceships that comprised four different teams of Titans were exiting Earth's atmosphere.

"I believe you were mistaken earlier, Blackfire," said Starfire. "It seems it is you who is outnumbered."

"Perhaps," replied Blackfire as she pulled something out of her pocket. "But, the war will not end today."

Blackfire threw a small pellet at Starfire that created a huge puff of smoke across the moon. Starfire coughed and closed her eyes, unable to move in the smoke.

"Our next battle will be our last, Starfire," Blackfire said as she began to fly away at full speed. "Only one of us will survive, and it will not be you."

As the smoke cleared, Starfire rose and saw that her sister was gone. Starfire clenched her fists in frustration. She was so close, but not close enough to finish her sister for good. The four ships of Titans finally approached the moon, not knowing they were too late to catch Blackfire.

"Starfire!" shouted Robin from the T-Ship. "Are you alright? Where's Blackfire?"

Starfire looked to the stars before she answered Robin. She was livid that her sister escaped, but relieved that Earth was safe again from the Gordanians.

"I am alright, Robin," said Starfire. "Blackfire escaped, but we shall encounter her again soon."

Robin could tell that Starfire was boiling inside. He wasn't good with emotions as Raven, but he knew for a fact that her smile covered a huge feeling of rage.

Robin thanked the other teams of Titans and the honoraries for their help before they went back to their own cities, while his team went back to their Tower. They may have saved Earth, but Starfire wasn't satisfied. She was on top of the roof looking at the evening stars. She couldn't wait for the next time she saw Blackfire. She was ready to end her sister once and for all.

"Hey," said a voice from behind her.

She turned around to see Robin walking towards her.

"You know Star, Big Belly Burger is still open. You still want to go?"

Starfire stood deep in thought. She couldn't stop thinking about her sister and what she would be planning next, but it wouldn't have hurt if she had something worth thinking about, like her relationship with Robin.

"Yes, that does sound nice, Robin," she answered half-excitedly.

The young couple held hands as they made their way to Big Belly Burger. Robin easily noticed how disturbed Starfire looked. Robin really wanted to make her feel better, but wasn't having much luck.

"Don't worry, Star," he assured her as he munched on a Burger. "We'll catch Blackfire next time, I know we will."

"I know, Robin," replied Starfire. "But I am afraid of what her next plan is. I do not know what she will do, but I believe it will be much worse than today."

"We'll just stop her again, like always," he said confidently.

Starfire took a second before speaking again.

"No, Robin," she said. "I believe she is too dangerous to just be stopped. I may have to eliminate her."

Robin gulped down a French fry nervously. He didn't like what he had just heard.

"Umm. What's that supposed to mean, Star?" he asked, hoping he heard wrong.

"I believe you know, Robin," she answered as she took a bite of her burger.

Robin knew he couldn't stop Starfire from potentially killing Blackfire, no matter how much he was against killing. He realized that there were no laws against killing in space, and Starfire had the legal right to kill on her home planet, none of which he would be able to change. Robin was relieved that he had contingency plans set in stone in case any of his friends, including Starfire, went evil. Starfire had promised him that she would never kill anyone from Earth, and Robin knew she always kept her promises, but he still had to be prepared just in case Starfire did commit a crime, and that conversation showed him why. He just hoped his friends wouldn't find out about his contingency plans before he could ever use them.
