Clementine looked down the empty corridor through the bars of the door, checking to see if anyone was around.

It hadn't been long since they had been taken to those cells. She was surprised to see that their base was on a ship moored at the shore, that's why she couldn't find them in the forest.

There seemed to be no other way out of there except through those doors. Which meant, she would have to bust through that door and fight her way out.

The sound of AJ's kicks on the door echoed through the hallway, and hammered multiple times in Clementine's head, who closed her eyes, and sighed.

- AJ, stop it, calm down.

She said, looking at the boy in the cell ahead, who kicked a few more times, before stopping and looking at her breathlessly.

- How can I calm down?! They kidnapped us! How can you be so calm?

he asked, clutching the bars of the door tightly.

- Right now I'm fucking pissed off! But kicking the door won't help anything.

She said in a dangerously cold tone, thinking of some way to open the damn door.

- Fuck... if we had more time, we could have set traps in our blind spots.

Aasim said, leaning his arms between the bars of the door and placing his forehead against the cold metal.

- All things considered, you fought very well. The problem, in fact, was the numerical disadvantage.

Clementine said, looking at Aasim for a moment, before turning her gaze to Violet, who was sitting in the corner of the cell with a lost look on her face.

- I still don't understand why Brody was the only one taken out of here.

Ruby said, standing next to Aasim.

- Because she was with Marlon the last time Lilly came.

Violet said loudly, lowering her head and resting her arms on her knees.

- So... what are we going to do? We're not going to stay here and just let ourselves get kidnapped, right?

Mitch asked, standing in front of the door, right next to AJ, who was taking a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself.

- If I can get this door open, I can get everyone out, and we'll just have to force our way out. Unfortunately, we don't have much time to come up with a plan.

Clementine said, looking carefully at the lock on the door. It was not a door with keys, but a lock that was locked and unlocked manually.

If she had something thin enough to get through that small gap in the door, maybe she could open it.

- That Lilly... she scares the shit out of me.

Omar said with a distant look.

- The way she talked when she put us here... if we don't get out of here we are fucked.

He continued, turning away from the door and walking nervously inside the cell.

- Don't let that asshole scare you, Omar. You saw for yourself, we can get rid of her, kill her even. She's nothing, like Clem said, they just have the numerical advantage.

Mitch said loudly, looking down the hallway and making sure no one was listening.

Clementine looked around the inside of the cell again, it was then that she remembered the knife she always kept hidden in her boot.

She crouched down and looked at the small blade in her hands, shaking her head in reproach to herself for not having remembered something so obvious.

She heard some footsteps approaching in the distance, and kept the knife in her mouth again, straightening her posture and looking through the fucking bars.

- Look who came to visit.

Lilly said, and Clementine arched an eyebrow at the girl approaching just behind her.

- Minnie!

Tenn's voice echoed down the hall. The boy ran to the door and crashed hard into the metal object.

The girl looked at him for a moment, a pained expression on her face. She looked as if she wanted to go to him too, but she stood still, right next to Lilly.

- Jesus, it's so good to see you again!

Violet said, rising from the corner of the cell and walking briskly toward the door.

Her eyebrows arched slightly in confusion at the sight of the girl's unchanged, neutral face.

The girl was startled to see her pointing a crossbow in her direction.

- Move away from the door.

Her cold, neutral voice penetrated Violet's ears, and she looked at her incredulously, with a mixture of pain.

- What the fuck, Minnie?!

Mitch shouted, looking at the girl with a mixture of anger and incredulity.

The girl just ignored him, and opened the door as soon as Clementine and Violet had walked away.

- Minnie...

Violet called the girl's name, almost in supplication, but the girl just ignored her.

Lilly entered the cell, a cynical look on her face that stared Clementine down. The girl didn't wince, and stared back at her with the same intensity.

The woman walked over and sat down on the bed beside her.

- As I said before, Clementine, I am genuinely impressed. I've suffered more casualties with a bunch of kids than... well, than any of the other survivors we've faced. You didn't make a plan to defend yourselves, you made a plan to kill us.

Lilly said, crossing her legs and resting her arms on them.

- You killed a large number of my soldiers, some of them very experienced. You didn't have many advantages, so you created yours by taking those weapons, and by killing three more of ours. One group found the bodies still fresh, correct me if I'm wrong, but you could kill that other group if you wanted to, right?

she asked, staring deep into Clementine's eyes.

The girl was a little uncertain whether to answer that, or just keep quiet. After a while she just sighed and shook her head.

- Yes... I could.

She replied, crossing her arms.

- If I bring a prize like you to the Delta, then maybe it will make this fucking mission worthwhile. Someone like you, so young, and with so much potential. You are far too valuable to kill.

Lilly said, and that cynical smile that Clementine hated came back to the woman's face.

- Then this mission of yours won't have been worth it. You'll have to kill me before you can force me to fight for you.

Clementine said, looking with cold, murderous eyes at Lilly, who remained unchanged.

- That would be a shame... well, we still have others we can use. Besides, the boy has the same eyes as you. I see that he also has great potential.

Lilly said, and Clementine closed her eyes tightly, trying to control the anger she felt inside.

- But, we won't get to that anytime soon. Actions have consequences, Clementine. Don't behave, and I will start killing every one of your friends, one by one.

She threatened, and Clementine clenched her teeth hard, clenching her fists in anger.

- If you...

the girl tried to say, walking a few steps toward Lilly. But she was stopped by Minerva, who came closer, pointing the crossbow at her head.

Clementine glared at her, and took a few deep breaths.

- Put that shit down, girl. Before you get hurt.

Clementine said in a dangerously cold tone, looking with murderous eyes at Minerva, who took another step forward.

- Minerva!

Lilly's commanding voice brought her to a halt, and the girl looked at her, somewhat confused.

- Don't come any closer than that. This girl would kill you in a heartbeat. You may not see it, but I see it... You see, I want to tell you a story. Let's call it "The Parable of the Twins".

Lilly said, making a slightly dramatic movement, and widening her cynical smile.

- Two girls were taken from their homes, and taken to a new place to live. They had to leave their friends and family behind, and it was very hard at first, they shed many tears.

Lilly stretched out on the bed and crossed her legs again, propping her back against the wall.

Clementine looked at Minerva for a moment, before turning back to face Lilly.

- But that place was a good place. The people there grew their own food, raised pigs. They ate well for the first time in years. They had hot baths, clean clothes, beds. They were given weapons and trained to use them.

Violet alternated her gaze between Lilly and Violet, somewhat confused. She didn't know what to think, what to do, nothing. She found herself lost for the first time in a very long time.

- All that was asked in return was that they help defend the group. A place like this naturally attracts bandits, people who want to take what they have.

Clementine laughed humorlessly, and put one of her hands on his waist.

- "Want to take what they have", that's pretty cool, they look like the bodies that are rotting in a school in the middle of the forest right now, don't you think?

Clementine said, and Lilly just smiled, ignoring the mean comment.

- One of the girls saw that this was a place worth fighting for, and her tears dried up. The other girl, on the other hand, could not forget her old home. She rejected every gift, every opportunity, and caused trouble every chance she got.

Lilly said, glancing at Minerva, who stared at Clementine with a pained expression on her face.

- She convinced her sister to steal a raft and go down the river. But, of course, they didn't get very far. What happened to them, Minerva?

The woman turned her face slightly toward the girl, who looked as if she was going to cry any minute.

- I killed her.

She answered after a moment, and Clementine looked at Violet as she heard the girl's surprised groan.

- What? How could you do this shit?!

Mitch shouted from the other cell, slamming the metal door hard.

- What the fuck, Minerva!

Louis also shouted, almost drowning out Tenn's cry, and Ruby's voice, who was trying to calm him down.

- How could you do this shit, you fucking son of a bitch!

Violet shouted after having been in shock for some time, looking at Minerva with tears in her eyes, and anger spreading through her entire being.

- Well, I think we're pretty close to making this other girl cry again. And I will gladly do it.

Clementine said, looking scornfully at Minerva, who didn't even seem to hear what she had said.

- You killed your own sister? Why did you do that, Minerva?

-She corrupted me with her lies.

Lilly looked at the girl, amused at her state.

- And?

- I made a mistake. And I had to show my loyalty to the place I call home.

The girl answered, ignoring the small tear that ran down her face.

- Sons of bitches! You're all sick!

Louis shouted, throwing himself violently against the door, and staring hatefully at Minerva's back.

- I'm going to open this fucking door and shove this arrow down your fucking throat, Minerva!

Mitch shouted, throwing himself against the door, just as Louis did.

- You bitch!

Violet ran toward Minerva, but Clementine stopped her, grabbing her around the waist and pulling her back, trying to keep her from ending up with a bullet in her head.

- I'm going to kill you! How could you?! Fucking traitor!

Violet was screaming, crying, and struggling violently. Her weeping eyes focused on Minerva, who didn't even look at her.

- Like it or not, Clem. You are one of my people now. The question is, which twin are you going to be?

Lilly asked, seeming to enjoy the whole situation.

Clementine looked at her again, perhaps as darkly and menacingly as before.

- I'm going to be the one who kills the other twin, and sticks a knife in your throat the first chance I get.

She replied, pushing Violet aside, who was hugging her own body and beginning to cry.

Lilly stared at Clementine for a while, a strange gleam running through her eyes.

She stood up and walked a few steps toward Clementine, staring at her.

- You know what else reminds me of Lee when I look at you?

she asked, bending down slightly and looking more closely into the girl's cold, slightly curious eyes.

- Your eyes ... you have the same eyes as he does. A murderous, cold, intimidating look. No wonder you are so alike. And it's even funny, you have never seen each other in all these years, but you are identical to each other.

She said, smiling slightly at Clementine and walking a few steps away, taking a quick glance at Violet, who was crying in the corner of the cell, her gaze fixed on Minerva.

- You know, did you know that Lee killed hundreds of people in the Delta?

she asked, and Clementine's eyes widened in a mixture of surprise and confusion.

- We kidnapped him some time ago. At first he seemed to take to his new life well, even seemed to have made some friends in there, with a boy named James, I think.

She began to say, looking amused at how attentively Clementine listened to her, almost as if she temporarily forgot where she was, the situation she was in, and concentrated only on her words.

- But it was all a lie. Lee is a very good liar, I learned that the hard way. Only a week later, he killed almost half of the camp by putting poison in our food. He blew up our gasoline storage tank and one of our armories. And he escaped, walking calmly towards one of our cars.

She said, sounding surprised herself.

Clementine shook her head a few times and looked at the ground, trying to control the wave of feelings that invaded her chest.

- He is a liar, Clementine, but an extremely valuable liar. And I see what he has in you. That's why I'm so sure that you are also extremely valuable, I can imagine you poisoning our food, and blowing up some of our arsenals.

- Fuck you! Shut the fuck up!

Louis shouted angrily, kicking the door open a few times while still keeping his gaze fixed on Minerva.

Lilly sighed, and glared at Louis.

- He doesn't seem to understand the moral of the story. Then let's make him understand.

Lilly said loudly, and soon, a woman with a cleaver opened the door to Louis' cell, and approached him calmly, while a tall man in an overcoat walked towards Mitch, probably to stop him from trying something.

- Stop! If you hurt Louis, I'll hurt you!

AJ said, standing in front of the woman and looking at her with angry eyes. The woman stopped walking, and looked at AJ with some interest, and amusement.

- Hold still, kid. Or you'll get hurt too.

- Touch him and you're the next to die, and I don't care if I end up with a bullet in my head.

Clementine said, looking at the woman intensely.

The woman just ignored her and grabbed Louis by the shoulder, pulling him out of the cell and throwing him to the ground.

- No! Let me go, you fucking bitch!

Louis screamed, struggling violently.

The woman knelt behind him and pressed the boy's hand against the floor, raising her cleaver.

However, before she could cut his hand off, AJ jumped on her back and bit her on the ear.

The woman cried out in pain and stood up, trying to get the boy off her back as she felt his teeth tearing into her flesh.

She threw herself against the wall, and the boy gasped as he felt the air being expelled from his lungs.

He fell to the floor, but got up quickly, looking somewhat superior to the woman as he spat her ear.

- Try to hurt him again and I'll rip a chunk out of your neck next time.

AJ threatened, wiping the blood that stained her mouth.

- Son of a bitch!

the woman shouted, kicking the boy in the face.

Clementine gasped heavily, alternating her gaze between Lilly and Minerva, trying very hard not to do anything stupid.

However, seeing that cynical smile on the woman's face, she couldn't help but feel more irritated.

Clementine takes a deep breath, and lowers her head.

In one swift movement, she grabs Minerva and pulls her towards her. Lilly shoots, but ends up hitting Minerva's arm.

Clementine takes advantage of her newest shield, and squeezes the crossbow's trigger, shooting an arrow into the woman's shoulder.

Clementine threw Minerva to the side, and received a straight punch from Lilly.

The girl fell to the ground, feeling the world around her spinning.

She tried to get up, but Lilly punched her once more, forcing her to stay on the ground.

The woman started punching her again and again.

Again and again.

And again.

And again.

And again.

Until her fist was stained with Clementine's blood, and the girl lay motionless on the ground.

Lilly looked at the frightened faces of the people around her, until she focused her eyes on the worried and somewhat cold expression of AJ, who was alternating his gaze between her, and Clementine.

- Well, I hope that with this, we can start over tomorrow. Maybe then you'll learn to be quiet.

she said, taking AJ by the arm and walking down the hall.
