A/N: Wow, it's been more than a year since I update this. I cringe when I read it, probably because my writing has improved over the past year. Hopefully. Maybe I'll do a rewrite, but I feel like I owe the people who have been faithfully checking this story every few months a new chapter. I don't know if I'll complete this. Maybe I will, maybe I won't.
Percy heard the anguished scream of Annabeth follow him as he walked into the darkness of the forest. He squeezed his eyes shut as he tried to push his feelings away. He had told himself over the past week that all of his problems, why he was how he was in the first place was because of Annabeth. Annabeth had made all of his problems come to the surface, Annabeth had destroyed him.
Percy transported himself down into the depths of Tartarus. He nodded his head at Erebus, and then walked to his room. He stared at himself in the obsidian mirror, then looked down at his hands. They were bloody and stained from his earlier scuffle with Mark.
Perhaps, for once in his life, Percy had chosen the coward's path. Instead of fighting against the one that had wronged him, he pushed all of his blame onto the only person that he had an inkling of a feeling left. He pushed all of his hurt, and betrayal on the one person that mattered.
But, Percy didn't care anymore. It was the gods that had banished him to this god forsaken place, and it would be the gods that would pay the price of their sins. A deranged smile appeared on Percy's face, the black light illuminating his devilish features.
The green-eyed son of the sea was no more, in its place was the cold and merciless son of Hell. It was at this moment that Tartarus chose to walk in. "Percy, I have something I need to tell yo—You alright? You're smiling really weirdly."
Percy turned to face his adoptive father. "No, I'm fine. You were going to tell me something?"
"Oh, yes," Tartarus said. "The oracle just made a prophecy, which most likely refers to you."
"Well, they seem to all relate to me these days. What is it about?" Percy asked, his red irises glinting.
"Well, the whole prophecy is:
Leaving a trail of blood behind,
The hero shall fall to darkness,
He cannot be redeemed.
Olympus shall fall to ashes,
And all shall fall into darkness. "
Percy smiled. "That sounds wonderfully dark. I love it."
Tartarus stared at Percy, then smiled. "Well then, that's great! I'll leave you to your evil plotting then. Now, don't get killed yourself, obviously. Try to made one of them fade today. At least one of them."
"Of course," Percy said, smirking.
Percy stared at his bloody hands, he flicked out his tongue. The metallic taste of blood filled his mouth. As he closed his eyes, he could faintly smell the ocean air tingling his senses. Percy smiled, the god of the sea would be the first to go.
Percy stood, the sea would be a difficult place to get to, but he always liked a challenge. He teleported to a deserted beach somewhere in the world, he felt the water lap at his feet. Although Poseidon was no longer his father, the sea still somewhat calmed him. And Percy hated that fact.
He waded into the water, the cold numbing his body. Then, he dove. The dark and cold waters almost froze him to death, but he remained in the water.
Percy took a breath, realizing that his idiotic father had still left all of his powers intact. Percy almost laughed outright at his father's foolishness. As he swam toward the bottom of the ocean, the water lightened to a crystalline aqua, the sun seeming to penetrate the cold and dark ocean. Then, he happened upon the palace of his 'father'. It was lavishly decorated with coral and shells.
There were guards in front of the doors, their spears glinting in the water. Percy touched his feet to the floor, the silt and sand swirled around him. He took out his blade, its darkness seeming to cut even the water.
He walked up to the palace doors. He smiled. "Hello, I was wondering if you could show me where Poseidon is ?"
The guards raised their spears. "You'll have to get through us first."
Percy sighed. "Look, if you want to be alive, and not be made into sushi, I recommend that you put those spears down, and just let me i-" Before Percy could finish his sentence however, the two mermen charged.
Percy's sword came up in a perfect arc, splitting one of them in half. The two parts of his body fell to the ground. The other one however, was still perfectly intact and in a good condition of causing harm. "Seriously, don't you have anything better to do? Does Poseidon even pay you?"
Before the merman could answer however, he was already lacerated and dead. His blood staining the water around him red. Percy shook his head. And walked on.
A/N: Will Percy be able to kill Poseidon? Will he even keep his powers? How does Percy get hurt? Find out on the next episode of Dragon Bal- Fall To Darkness! Coming to , early 2019! maybe… ;-;
