November 1st, 2009 - Sunday
"I can't believe that we didn't even go to the Halloween party." Caroline says in disbelief as she shakes her head. Then as a cheerful afterthought she adds happily. "But, we did still get a hangover!"
"Only you would be happy about getting a fucking hangover Forbes." Matt tells her groggily.
"Little bro swore." Vicki announces with a quiet but excited voice before doing a fake exaggerated cry. "I am so proud."
Tyler snorts and glances at Vicki with thinly veiled amusement before he looks at Caroline fondly as she snuggles against him on the chair. "that's because I supplied the alcohol."
"Our hero." Vicki chimes in sarcastically from the couch. "My head hurts so fucking bad."
"Well, it's better then being dead." Matt groans from on the floor beside the couch. "I'm not moving from this spot, ever."
"Ugh. Don't remind me." Vicki says with a pout. "Dying has become so annoying. Why do they keep killing me anyway? I just wanna be left alone. Fucking dying all the time."
"Yesterday it was an accident though wasn't it?" Caroline asks her in confusion as she tries to sit up but then decides against it.
Vicki snorts but stays a still as she can. "Please, Gilbert has been incredibly violent in his actions since he turned. He also keeps trying to compel me. I don't know if it was an accident. It wasn't premeditated, but .. well, he wasn't giving me a choice and he got all pissy when I turned him down. Then the compelling attempt and - lets just say that he didn't care what I wanted."
"Yeah." Tyler mutters in annoyance and then lets out a pained groan. "I really want to kill that little shit head. Next time he touches you I am going to kill that bastard."
"Going to jail won't-." Vicki pauses mid sentence in thought, maybe it would help?
If they're in jail then none of those assholes can..
Matt notices the way her mind is planning things and he sighs. "Vicki, we're not going to get our asses thrown in jail just to avoid this shit alright?"
She pouts sadly as glances at her brother, batting her eyelashes innocently. Matt isn't fooled of course and just snorts before shaking his head.
"Fine." Vicki grumbles disappointed.
"Besides." Tyler pips up in frustration. "Then the little shit could just compel the guards and take you away that way. That is If he doesn't massacre the fucking place first."
"Two shay." She mutters in agreement. "Can I just stay home forever? None of them are invited inside - it'd be safe."
"We can't just hide out because we might die." Caroline says bossily, at least in Vicki's opinion.
Or maybe she's just short tempered because of the fact that she keeps dying. Damn death, it's annoying and painful, she doesn't like it. She should find a way fo prevent that. God, she hates research and that means that she will have to do research. Where's the best place for that anyway?
"You've died like what? Three times?" Vicki grumbles darkly as she looks at the blood and then sighs. "Care, you only see it when I'm with you. You don't feel the deaths, the day resets right before the decision was made. The only reason Tyler and Matt know is because they were near me when we first decided to go to the party. But I guess I only get two days a week where I make a decision that doesn't kill me or one of you."
"You've been seeing when we die too?" Caroline asks with a frown.
Vicki nods sharply as her eyes glaze over a little. "Yeah, like Tyler mentioned before - it's probably because we've became friends you know? You are all my - you're all my friends and."
She trails off when Caroline quickly pulls her into a hug. "Oh you poor thing! I didn't know it was that bad, I thought we would always see if too at first and then .. well, obviously we don't. I'm glad that we're friends."
"The suspiciousness from the Gilbert's and Salvatore's is annoying though." Matt says with a yawn.
Tyler snorts. "I don't understand why they would care what we do anyway."
"Because they take everything personally." Caroline says with a deadpan. "Like, me going up a grade. It's all about Elena or all about Bonnie. There apparently little chance that I'm capable and all that."
They all nod in agreement. Tyler adds. "Yeah. My mom and dad were thrilled, in dads case I think it's more because I'll be out of the house soon because of it."
"Your dads an ass." The blonde woman grumbles.
Tyler just shrugs his shoulders but he doesn't disagree.
"Are we staying here today?" Matt asks with a grumble as he sits up and rubs his eye.
They all nod collectively. "Yeah, we could play monopoly!" Caroline suggests happily causing Vicki to crack a small smirk at her perky friend.
November 17th, 2009 - Tuesday
"Why does Jeremy keep watching you." Caroline says with a whisper to Vicki who shrugs uncomfortably. "It's creepy."
"Probably the same reason he keeps killing her." Matt whispers back harshly, a look of disgust on his face. "He's an obsessive kid."
"I don't get why they don't just kill him." Tyler mutters back barley audible.
Caroline nods in agreement, a grim expression on her face as she glances at Vicki whose trying her best to be unfazed by the Gilbert's stares.
"It's because of Elena." Vicki mummers under her breathe and lets out a disappointed sigh. With bitterness she continues. "They have to tolerate his attitude because of that .. even if they don't want to. Elena is the only one who matters to them. Everyone else is expendable."
"Maybe we can convince Bonnie to join our side then." Caroline whispers as she glances at the witch.
Matt shrugs his shoulders. "They also don't remember any of the destruction that he causes you know? We only get that .. if we happen to be near Vicki anyway."
"That's why I call you if i get that feeling." She mutters to them as she glances around, still Jeremy's eye remain firmly on her.
His gaze is heavy and uncomfortable on her skin and in her mind. From one of her last deaths she can remember the feeling of his hands harshly on her body. The way he got so angry when she didn't follow his wishes even when he attempted to compel her. During which time she learned that she cannot be compelled, even without vervain on her person. She could remember one of the times that he kidnapped her for days before killing her in a fit of rage.
Now he watches her, only watches, but the stare is heavy and stalkerish. He follows her and no matter what somehow she has to re live a day or two. She's found that Stefan and Damon remember, barley, but a little bit. They get echos off them somehow.
The way Stefan asked her once if she was a vampire- luckily she was able to look shocked enough for him to place his hands up and then he claimed that it was a joke.
She knows that it wasn't.
His eyes follow her as well at times, a confused frown on his face. Stefan believes that she's a mystery, unsure whether or not she's a danger to them and their way of life. If she could, she would kill both Salvatore's - she hates them with a burning passion. .
Damon on the other hand looks at her as simply a curious puzzle, one that he's trying to decide the best way to kill. But, the thing is - even if he just gets echos of it he had asked her once how she was alive.
It was random, she had been at the Grill while Matt worked as the new bartender in her place considering her consistent deaths. But, maybe it wasn't as random as she wishes because the previous day Damon had killed her in cold blood and then - then that's when she began having to repeat full days after she dies. Only Tyler, Matt, Caroline and herself know for sure that the day is being repeated. They remember it all, not as an echo - but for what it is, a repeat.
The nice thing is that she has started to get feelings, bad feelings on a day that will end with one of their deaths. But now they have to fully live the day id they die and then restart. It's odd to her with the way that it's advancing.
November 22nd, 2009 - Sunday
"Mason just got here this morning." Tyler tells her on the phone. "He'll meet us after school tomorrow and we'll talk. He broke up with his look a-like girlfriend though, that's gotta be good news, right?"
"Good." Vicki says with a sigh. "Goddess, I really hope so. I'm so tired of having to repeat days over again so many times."
"Well." Tyler says sounding a little hesitant. "Im not sure how much help he'll be. It could just complicate it all you know?"
She lets out a groan as he continues talking. "On the plus-side, Caroline and I kissed last night."
"Which time?" Vicki asks with a frown. They had to repeat yesterday like ten times. It was a really, really shitty day on her end of the spectrum.
"The last three." He tells her, she can practically hear the smile on his face. "We only died during the first two. You and Matt got the short end of the stick last night."
She lets out a small laugh and quips. "You don't say." After a pause she asks him excitedly. "Are you two dating now?"
"We're" he begins and then sighs. "Sort of? Like, we are but we're not you know? We might just have it be a causal fling."
"And she's okay with that?" Vicki asks with a concerned frown, she likes Caroline.
She's a nice girl and she wishes they could've been friends the first time around.
"It was her idea." He admits sounding unconcerned. "She doesn't want us to end up breaking up and hating each other. It works for me and it works for her, no need to get all mother bear over it."
Vicki rolls her eyes and lets out a sigh. "Fine. We'll see your Uncle tomorrow after school. Are we meeting at the school or somewhere else?"
"Your place." He says steadily. "It's the safest and we're less likely to be overheard there."
"Let's hope that tomorrow isn't a repeating day then." She mumbles tiredly as she looks down at the jobs in the Mystic Falls newspaper.
