"Where did you disappear at lunch", he asked.

I froze

What do I say? I'm going to sound stupid. The last thing I want is for him to hate me.

"I just needed some fresh air", I said.

He looks at me with a look of disbelief in his eyes.

"Okay, I'll pretend to believe you", he replied.

My head shook as I looked down.

"Are you ready to continue', he asked.

Standing up slowly, I nodded my head. Once again, we walked in silence until we reached the nurses' room. When we reached the nurses' office, I was about to speak to the nice woman behind the desk, but Edward beat me to it.

"Hi there. Bella feel ill in biology", he said.

The nurse turned towards Edward as he spoke and she looked stunned. Now I realize that whenever he talked to a woman, or even if a woman passed him, they all looked stunned.

"Oh, dear. Come on through. Thank you for bringing her, you may go back to class", the nurse said to Edward.

He smiled towards me.

"I'll see you later", he said.

My smile returned to him.

"Thank you", I replied

His smile widened. Once he was gone I walked through to the first aid room with the Nurse and sat up on the bed. The nurse came in with a glass of water and some pain killers and sat them on a table next to me.

"So was it blood typing or frog dissecting", the nurse asked.

"Dissecting", I said.

He laughed lightly.

"There's always one. I'll get you to drink all that glass of water and take those pain killers. It'll help with any headaches and I'll give you Dad a call", she instructed.

I acknowledged her as I took the painkillers in my mouth and guzzled the water. Once I was done the nurse walked back in.

"I gave you Dad a call and he is on his way for you. I'll walk you down to the seats at the office to wait for him", she said.

I thanked her as I stood up and walked beside the nurse down to the front office to wait for Charlie.I merely sat for a couple of minutes until Charlie showed up at the front desk. Advantages of being the chief of police, I presume. I rose up as he made his way to me.

"Hey kiddo, how you feeling", Charlie asked as he wrapped one of his arms around me.

I awkwardly draped my arm around him at the same time.

"I'm fine, dad. Don't worry. They just want to send me home to be on the safe side", I explained as I pulled away.

Once we had pulled away, he gave me a little smile. I could tell he was worried about me. A father thing, I guess.

"Okay, let's get you home", he said as he led the way to his car.

As we drove home, the only thing that was on my mind was Edward. It doesn't seem like he hates me. I hope he doesn't. He makes me feel safe. I guess that's why I talk to him, even though Mike has threatened me on multiple occasions not to. I feel like nothing bad will happen when I am with him. I don't want that feeling to go away. Once Charlie had parked up in front of the house, he took my backpack over his shoulder and walked in to the house, keeping an eye on me in the meantime.

Once I was inside I headed straight through to the kitchen to get a start on dinner but not before Charlie stops m in my tracks.

"Where are you going kiddo. Go have some rest and I'll order in for dinner", he said.

"I'm fine, honestly. I didn't cook last night so I don't want you to be eating another takeaway tonight", I explained.

He stood there contemplating for a moment before moving to the side and letting me through.

"Just take it easy and sit down if you need a rest", he said as he made his way towards the living room and putting on the TV.

I continued my way towards the kitchen and took out chicken so I could start making some chicken curry and rice. I turned the heat up on the stove and added oil. Once it had heated up enough I added the chicken and started cooking it. Once it was cooking though enough I set it aside and filled a pot with water and pit it on to boil. As I was adding the rice to pot the door bell went. I heard my dad get up from his seat and answer it. It was quiet for a few moments until I heard the door close and two sets of footsteps started walking towards the kitchen. I wonder who that could be, I thought.

"Hey Bells, you have a visitor", Charlie announced.

I turned around intrigued to who it could be. And there he was standing next to Charlie.

It was Edward.
