The first day she kissed him was when he was in her lab, helping her fix one of her many computers. It had crashed during the night because someone had tried to hack into it. So after re loading everything he tried to find out who it was. He was shocked when he had found out who it was.

"Jenna?" he had whispered when her face had appeared on the screen. I looked at him to try and figure out what was wrong but he didn't hear or see me. Just kept starring at the screen. That was when Gibbs had come down for an update on who had hacked in to my precious baby. I told him that McGee knew.

He had just looked expectantly at him but McGee hadn't heard. He had not taken his eyes of the picture that was projected on the screen. Looking back now I should have realised something was wrong. He had a way of concentrating where he blocked everything out, but not at this level.

I remember glancing at the picture of the women. Jenna. Brown hair cut into a pixie cut tanned skin and a nice smile. It was her eyes that caught my attention. They were almost black, and had an abnormal amount of pain in them. The same pain that McGee's expressed.

Gibbs questioned McGee again and, upon receiving no answer, slapped the back of his head like he has done countless times to Tony, but never to Tim. I jumped. I hadn't expected that. Something must have snapped inside Tim. It was over so fast. He turned and quickly pivoted, sending Gibbs to the floor. Jumping on top of him he held his arm to his throat. I think I yelled.

"Don't ever do that to me again." He whispered, I barely heard. "You have no idea who she is, what she is." And with that he was gone. Walking into the elevator and going away, I watched him as the door closed. His eyes full of tears.

Gibbs tried to go after him but he had gone. He then called Tony to see if he could stop him but Tim had gone by then. I have never, even to this day, seen Gibbs that angry. He turned to me, fury in his eyes, and barked at me to find out more about her. He then left.

It was then I realised just how intimidating he could be. Even to a woman.

I got to work. There was nothing else I could do. Her name was Jenna Beart. Born in America, Italian background, educated at MIT. I knew the connection. She had been in the same class as Tim. I rang Gibbs and told him. Tony then rang and told me that they had no idea were McGee had gone.

No one went home that night. The next morning I was called.

"Abby's lab."

"It's me."

"McGee were are you? Gibbs is going to kill you!" I screamed.

"Get the team to the interrogation room." And with that he hung up.

I went upstairs and then we all went where he had told us. Sitting at the table was McGee handcuffed to a woman's wrist. She was the woman from the photo. As soon as we entered Gibbs yelled his head off. Tim stood up and glared him down. Tony and I were silent; we had never seen either of them like this. After all sitting down, McGee started his story, in the barest details. The other women didn't speak, only glared at McGee.

Those hours were some of the worst I can remember. I thought I had lost Tim. But now, as I lay here with him I realise I could never have lost him. He just needed to get that part of his life over with alone. Every now and then he will tell me a little more about the mysterious woman who wouldn't talk, not even in her own defence. Just sat and glared at Tim. Gibbs had threatened to fire him but he didn't. I am not sure whether or not Tim was grateful, he knew he could get another job, but he has told me he likes working with me. Being with me. Living with me.

And I like him.
