Disclaimers: I'm not rich, so how can I possibly be the owner of the F4 characters? I own Maria though-again I don't own Greenday...

It was three days later, and the Fantastic Five were hiding in a transit van that was out of site of the meeting place where Jack's dad was going to be. They were hiding, and waiting for Tony to signal them, if he and the other FBI agents needed assistance.

The current events could be seen on a screen, due to the hidden camera's that surrounded the area. But the screens were being ignored by the Fantastic Five, they were too busy sitting in silence – that was how things had been for the past three days.

They'd tried to go on as if nothing had happened, sitting down to eat as a family. Conversations were sparked about anything, but they all ended in silence.

Maria had picked Greenday's 'Good Riddance' to play in Jack's funeral. A song with a somewhat sarcastic title, yet she felt it conveyed everything she was feeling – it also fit in perfectly well with the bitterness one feels when one is suicidal.

She looked out the window of the transit and watched the passers by walking left and right. Some looking at shop windows, others chatting on their phones. She caught sight of a couple holding hands, and mothers holding hand of their children.

She shook her head slowly. 'How could everything be so normal?' she thought. Surely they wouldn't be out there if they knew about the threat, 'or promise,' she reminded herself. Then again, she would probably be going on as normal if she didn't know.

She turned and looked at Reed and Sue – they sat together – Sue had a worried look on her face, which broke into a smile as she saw Maria watching them, a smile that Maria returned. Reed had a more thoughtful look on his face, 'probably doing some kind of equation in his head,' she thought.

Johnny was sitting near his sister, but not too near to show the fear he was feeling, and the need to be close to her. But one could tell he was scared, he'd chewed off all but one finger nail.

Ben sat near Maria, in fact they had been sitting by each other before, but Maria had gotten up to look out the window. Ben was afraid for Alicia, she was still with friends in Ohio, and knew nothing of the plans. Ben didn't want to tell her, even if he was allowed he wouldn't. He didn't know whether or not they would succeed in saving the planet, and he didn't want Alicia to spend what could be her last days living in fear. He was already surprised at how well Tony and FBI had kept anything from leaking out to the public.

Maria sat down next to her father, she could see the stone cogs turning in his head. "Ain't no thing…" she whispered to him, making him smile.

He opened his mouth to say something, but the sound of gunshots took them all by surprise. Reed sprang up, almost knocking Sue over, and hurried to the door, pulling it open.

"It's Clobberin' Time!" Ben said in half hearted sarcasm and the five ran out the door of the transit.
