This takes place 24 years after Season 8 Episode 22.

Soellners

"Hello." Twenty nine year old Rachel Cuddy knocks on the door.

It opens and a woman, either in her sixties or seventies, with dark hair and lined eyes walks out. Her eyes are darker than her hair and fully devoid of emotion, as if something has ripped the life out of her.

Rachel's knees buckle and she starts to tremble. This woman looks so familiar, so it has to be her! She has Rachel's complexion and facial structure.

The woman doesn't look at Rachel directly and so she misses the resemblance.

"Mrs. Soellner…" Rachel bursts into tears and Mrs. Soellner almost falls back because the crying sounds all too familiar.

"What is it honey?" Mr. Soellner, now a skinny old man, rushes to the door but stops dead in his tracks.

He recognizes the dark hair, innocent face, pudgy cheeks and glowing eyes. It reminds him of her, before she...ended up…

"Natalie!" Mr. Soellner chokes up but he knows it is not her.

Mrs. Soellner sobs as she too makes the realization.

"You are my grandparents!" Rachel jumps into the arms of the Soellners, who unleash their emotions and weep alongside her.

Sexx

"Ahh!" Jessica Adams Chase mons as she grips onto her husband's bare broad shoulders and presses harder.

Robert Chase groans with pleasure as he expands and shoots up.

Surprisingly enough, doing it on a chair is much more exciting than doing it in a bed and they have had some of their best times in bed. That is how their fraternal triplet sons Adam, Chase and Casey came to life. Twenty three years of marriage and they are still learning new things.

All part of growing together.

Marrying each other was the best decision they ever made and looking back at it, it feels silly to know that they wasted all that time in Season 8 sidestepping and dodging their feelings. House caught on before they did and they wasted time.

Robert thought that he blew his chance when he turned her down in Season 8 Episode 17 and Jessica thought that he was gone for good after Season 8 Episode 20.

Luckily, they were wrong.

He returned as the boss and a few months after House's death, Chase and Adams became Chase💘Adams.

Now, they're happy.

The two continue to have fantastic sexx until they are interrupted by a loud bang.

The couple turn around to see that a suitcase has fallen on the kitchen floor next to a tall darkish blonde haired young man, whose handsome face is currently drained of color, as his emerald blue eyes seek to find a distraction.

"Adam!" Robert and Jessica hurriedly throw on their clothes and proceed to greet him.

"Hi Dad and Mom!" Adam wants to hug them but refrains from doing so. Wouldn't want their sexxual fluids all over him.

"Sorry about that. We should have put a sign." Jessica shrugs at Robert.

"Surprised that Casey, Chase and I never walked in on you when we were kids." Adam laughs awkwardly. "Anyway, now that I have caught you, that actually makes my situation easier. And Dad, zi…"

Robert quickly pulls up his zipper and Jessica smirks. Twenty three years with that package and it never gets old. She loves everything about him.

"How have you been?" Robert is curious.

"Well, I am engaged." Adam holds up his finger.

"Oh my gosh!" Jessica loops her arm around her son and squeezes him. Robert lifts them up and swings them around in joy.

"And she is pregnant!" Adam adds.

Robert and Jessica are so overjoyed that they break out the champagne.

Grandparents

"You must have so many questions." Mrs. Soellner continues wiping her eyes.

"I do, but I want you to hear my story." Rachel proposes.

"Of course!" Mr. Soellner doesn't let go of her hand.

"Here goes." Rachel takes a deep breath. "My adopter was a woman named Lisa Cuddy."

"The head of that hospital that treated Natalie!" Mrs. Soellner exclaims.

So that woman, who oversaw Natalie's case and brought in their granddaughter, adopted her. Mrs. Soellner and Mr. Soellner feel a tremendous sense of gratitude, knowing that the woman, who bent over backwards for Natalie, raised their granddaughter.

What hospital? Natalie? Rachel is lost but she goes on, because the hospital triggered another memory.

"The earliest memory I have is laying in this cold smelly building and then I ended up in this tight container, perhaps an incubator? I had fun times as a toddler, with Mo...Lisa…and babysitters. I remember that Mom had these friends, these men named Luke...Lucas and House?" Rachel is very impressed by how much she can remember.

The Soellners listen in awe as they are excited to hear their granddaughter's life story.

"When I was about three, we moved from New Jersey to Washington. Lisa…" Rachel is careful not to call her Mom in front of the Soellners. "...said that it was because she wanted to spend more time with me at home. We all moved, my...Lisa's mom, Lisa's sister, her kids and husband. And I grew up there."

"And you are twenty nine years old now?" Mr. Soellner counts the years and realizes how long it has been.

"Yes. I graduated from Washington State University and I finished my PhD at Stanford just two years ago." Rachel summarizes.

"Wow!" The Soellners could not be prouder of their granddaughter and they regret the missed time.

"My grand…Lisa's mom, Arlene, passed away during my undergrad. Lisa died right after my PhD. And that is when Julia cut me out of the inheritance and funneled the money to her children. I confronted her and she told me that I was adopted…" Rachel grits her teeth. "I did not know how to react. I was angry, hurt, confused. How could Lisa never tell me? Anyway, I tried to forget about it for two years but…"

The Soellners burst into tears again and they confess what happened in Season 5 Episode 11.

By the end of their story, Rachel is ready to flip the table and storm out. How could they, her biological grandparents abandon her like that?

But then she sees their faces and she realizes that they are reflecting the same vulnerability, her vulnerability.

Rachel had a good life with a loving mother but her grandparents, they lost a daughter and had no one.

"It's okay. I am here now." Rachel squeezes their hands and calms them down.

"We should have been the ones to comfort you as a baby. We have regretted letting you go ever since." Mrs. Soellner and Mr. Soellner weep.

"Well, you will have a chance with a baby now." Rachel breaks the big news. "That is why I am here. I am pregnant and I am getting married. He is a Princeton grad. It would mean the world to me if you could come!"

The Soellners pinch themselves till they welp because this is all too good to be true. Their granddaughter in their life and pregnant! Now, they are invited to her wedding!

They scream and shout for joy.

"One more thing." Rachel interrupts because she has made a sporadic decision. "Can you tell me about my father?"

The Soellners lose their smiles and a look of dread engulfs their faces, as the unpleasant memories sour their moment of joy.

Daughters

"Thomas!"

"Allison!"

They exchange brief greetings and take a seat at the table, as far away from each other as possible.

It's been twenty years since they divorced and time theoretically heals wounds but it's better to keep the distance.

The marriage started out fine but looking back, it was really born from desperation. Allison Cameron had been divorced for three years and Thomas Jeffries was newly divorced.

They never asked about each other's pasts and they got married rather quickly.

Allison didn't enjoy her time with Thomas, while Thomas was clearly bored, an emotion that he easily masked with a mechanical smile.

If it hadn't been for Emma, who had been conceived through some terrible sexx, Allison and Thomas would have divorced much earlier.

They love their daughter, which is the only thing that they can agree on.

But she isn't the only person that they ever loved.

Allison loved her ex husband Robert Chase, a man who was her everything and she pushed him away. He would come back repeatedly and Chase her all over the world and she loved him for it. However, she broke him and ruined the life they had.

Her loss that she never recovered from.

Thomas did love his ex wife Jessica Adams but he couldn't let go of his lusty eye for other women. Jessica departed and that was it.

Now, Allison and Thomas have to live with the ramifications of their mistakes.

"Hi!" Emma runs forward and embraces each parent separately.

"Great to see you!" Allison shouts.

"Yes! How have you been?" Thomas wonders.

"Great in all! Started my new job and my apartment is great!" Emma says.

"Any new boys?" Allison is curious because Emma was quite the boy magnet in high school and college but never in a serious relationship.

"I am pregnant and engaged!" Emma announces, holding up her finger.

As her parents drop their jaws in shock, Emma orders their dinner.

"So tell us about this girl." Jessica urges Adam.

Robert looks at Adam with interest.

"Her name is Rachel and she has a PhD. Beautiful girl. I am lucky." Per usual, Adam is very sparse with his description.

"Well, we are happy for you." Robert compliments him.

Hopefully, we like her, Jessica thinks internally. Not much choice if this Rachel is pregnant.

"She is coming to visit us here in Michigan the day after tomorrow." Adam announces.

"Great!" Robert receives a buzz on his phone. "And even better news! Your aunt (my sister) will be joining us for the wedding."

"Have you met her family?" Jessica is curious.

"No." Adam pauses. "Her family died. Actually, her adoptive mother and adoptive grandmother died. She doesn't speak with her adoptive aunt, uncle, or cousins."

"Oh." Robert's heart sinks as he finds himself sympathizing with this girl. She has a terrible family life as he did, growing up.

"Well, we couldn't be happier for you!" Jessica squeezes her son's shoulder.

Suddenly, the door swings open and two drop dead gorgeous young men waltz in.

"Chase! Casey!" Jessica, Robert and Adam greet them.

Chase and Casey laugh before holding up their fingers. "We are engaged and the girls are pregnant!"

Jessica and Robert fall back in jovial shock and Adam giggles.

"You are not the only ones!" Adam brags to his brothers, who hug him joyfully, when they see his finger.

House and…?

"Thanks for taking the time to come back, Lucy!" Gregory House thanks his daughter, as he pours the ashes down the hole.

"Of course Dad!" Lucy House replies. "I had the best times with Grandma Blythe and she lived a great life. Ninety eight years is a long time."

"She was the best!" Dominika House agrees.

"Yep!" Gregory cheerfully remembers the time that she helped him orchestrate his fake death and stage a faker funeral, so that he could spend five months with James Wilson.

Blythe helped Greg readjust to normal life after that.

"So there is another reason I was able to come." Lucy says as they walk back. "Just wish that Grandma Blythe had lived to see it."

Dominika and Greg raise their eyebrows and the latter realizes what is going on.

"You are pregnant!" Greg deduces. "And getting married!"

"Yep!" Lucy raises her finger!

The Houses scream and celebrate on the spot.

Paternally Grand

Rachel clutches the envelope in her hand but she cannot bear to open it.

Her mother is inside.

"She would have wanted you to see her." Mrs. Soellner had said when handing her the picture of Natalie.

"Do not expect too much from him." Mr. Soellner gave Rachel Simon's contact.

"We look forward to meeting your fiance's family and the wedding." The Soellners smiled with excitement.

Rachel makes her way to the door and stops before knocking.

Perhaps her grandpa is right and she should turn back.

"Can I help you?" An older man has materialized behind her.

"Uh…" Rachel chokes when she sees the man.

He looks so familiar and he has has her chin.

Rachel begins sobbing.

"Young lady, are you okay?" The man asks with concern.

"Are you Simon?" Rachel barely gets the words out.

"No. He is my son and he lives here. Who are…" The man sees her chin and he puts two and two together.

He drops his suitcase and breaks into tears.

She is here!

"What is going on?" The man's wife approaches. "Who is this?"

She stops dead in her tracks when she gets a good look at Rachel.

"Simon's daughter! Our granddaughter!" The man grabs Rachel and pulls her into a hug.

The teary eyed woman quickly runs up and joins them.

Sure?

"Are you sure about this?" Allison asks quite bluntly.

Thomas nods.

Emma rolls her eyes. "I know what I am doing and I love Casey. He loves me."

"That is what we thought about each other too!" Thomas counterargues and Allison agrees.

"I am not like you!" Emma snaps.

Her parents choke on their drinks in surprise. She has never snapped at them before, never during the fights, the custody battles and the tumultuous ruckus.

Emma seemed like a good kid and it must have killed her.

"Of course not." Allison apologizes.

"What can we do?" Thomas offers.

"We are meeting the family tomorrow." Emma decides.

Simon

"Hi Mom and Dad!" Simon opens up the door and drops his glass cup when he sees Rachel.

Rachel is flabbergasted when she lays eyes on Simon.

He's not the ugly, unshaven, savage caveman that she was expecting to see.

No, he's practically a handsome model!

"Are you…" Simon cannot believe it! After all this time!

"I am Rachel." Rachel confirms.

They all sit.

"Not a day has gone by that we have not thought about you." Simon's father weeps to Rachel.

Simon's mother nods in agreement, while wiping her eyes.

"I met my other grandparents. They gave me your name and I tracked you down." Rachel reveals.

Simon looks up, his bloodshot eyes alert, visibly shocked that Natalie's parents told her about him.

"The Soellners let you come to us!" Simon's mother cannot believe it either.

"They didn't want to. Believe me but they obliged." Rachel speaks frankly.

"When did you meet them?" Simon's father is very curious to know.

Rachel tells them everything from her childhood to Lisa to Arlene to Julia to her meeting with the Soellners.

By the time she is finished, her grandfather embraces her again, this time almost choking the life out of her.

"Please forgive us!" He urges and her grandmother sobs in agreement. "We have no excuses. The Soellners and we...none of us were brav…"

"Stop Dad!" Simon cuts him off. "It was my fault. Not yours, not Mom's, not Natalie's parents or Natalie. I should have been there for Natalie and it is all my fault."

"Stop it!" Rachel pleads. "I had a great life with Arlene and Lisa Cuddy. And you three have nothing to be sorry about."

Rachel is surprised by her own statements. She'd come here, expecting to give Simon a piece of her mind, let him know what she thought of him, but seeing him here like this, she can't.

Her four grandparents and Simon are all she has left.

And she doesn't want to lose anyone again.

"The reason I came here is...I am pregnant and I am getting married. I want you all at my wedding." Rachel addresses them.

Simon and his parents do not know whether to laugh, or cry with joy.

The girl that they abandoned wants them in her life!

"And I want you to walk me down the aisle!" Rachel grabs Simon's hand and squeezes it. "Please Dad!"

Simon chokes on the tears that he has been holding back and he unleashes everything.

After a good cry and a tight embrace with his daughter and parents, Simon subsides.

"Th...thank you so much! Thank you Rachel!" Simon swallows.

"And one more thing!" Rachel hands him the envelope. "My other grandparents gave me pictures of Natalie and I can't open it myself."

Simon takes the envelope in his shaking hands and he takes a deep breath before unsealing it.

It's been a long time and he has missed Natalie.

Meeting One

"Hello." Simon and his parents smile weakly and tremble.

"Hello." The Soellners do not even attempt a smile.

This meeting and the wedding are all they have to tolerate.

After that, Rachel is free to hang out with all of them separately.

"Let's go inside!" Rachel gestures after hugging and kissing all five of them.

The Soellners enter quickly.

"Nervous?" Jessica smirks at Robert.

"Aren't you?" Robert shakes. "We have three families to meet!"

"Relax Dad!" His three sons cackle. "You will be fine."

"This first one was a bit impromptu." Jessica admits. "But we will be glad to meet Rachel's biological family."

They enter.

Adam rushes up to kiss Rachel and then he shakes hands with her four grandparents and her father.

The Chases get up and Robert blinks when he sees Rachel and Simon because they look strangely...familiar!

"Hello!" The greeting is quick and simple.

"Rachel Cuddy!" Rachel introduces herself.

Jessica raises her eyebrows because the name Cuddy sounds oddly familiar and Robert suppresses his look of shock with a smile.

Rachel Cuddy! That means?

Robert eyes Simon and recognizes him as that boy that Kutner brought in back in Season 5 Episode 11.

It's him!

But if Rachel's adoptive mother is dead, then that means…!

The meeting goes really well and it once it is over, Rachel kisses Adam goodbye and heads to lunch with her four grandparents and one parent.

"Your uncle (my older brother) will be meeting us for lunch. He will be very pleased to meet you." Simon tells Rachel on the way out.

"Where have I heard the name Cuddy before?" Jessica asks Robert.

He explains everything.

"And that's how House ended up in prison. And then I ended up at PPTH and met you!" Jessica gasps.

"Yeah! It is a small world!" Robert gives Jessica a passionate kiss. "Might not want to mention House's car in Cuddy's living room thing."

Meeting Two

"So what is this boy's name?" Greg cannot believe that he forgot to ask.

"Chase!" Lucy answers jovially.

"Chase! Wasn't your employee named Chase?" Dominika recalls.

"Last name." Greg dismisses the notion but a thought lingers.

Chase...he never got to give him a proper goodbye.

"There she comes!" Chase Chase kisses Lucy and swings her around.

The girl's cheeks flare red as she tastes his throat.

"So my future son in law eats faces." Greg mutters sarcastically.

Jessica and Robert feel their bodies tighten up and they look at each other with fear.

It cannot be!

But they both hear it!

"Come on Gregory!" Dominika leads him in.

"Dominika!" Jessica and Robert almost collapse into their seats.

"Hello! You look familiar?" As Dominika attempts to recognize them, Greg sees them and he drops his cane with a thud.

"House!" Robert and Jessica walk up slowly and reach their hands out to touch him.

"I am not dead!" Greg smiles.

After convincing them that he is real, Greg has them sit.

"I faked my death. I wanted to spend Wilson's last few months with him. That's why he barged out at the end of my fake funeral. After he died, I went back to my mom and I found Dominika again. And we had Lucy." Greg summarizes the last several years. "And Thirteen passed on a few years back. I helped her."

"Wow!" That is all Jessica and Robert have to say.

"And you two got together! I knew you would!" House snickers. "I was right!"

"And we have been very thankful!" Robert begins crying. "It is great to see you House!"

"Aw Chase!" Greg grabs Robert and hugs him.

As the two embrace, Lucy and Chase grin at each other because this is going much better than they imagined, going too well as a matter of fact.

"So how did it happen?" Greg wants to know.

"Few months after you left!" Jessica begins to say.

"Mom, it's great that you are getting along but we are here for us!" Chase indicates to himself and Lucy.

They laugh and continue the meeting.

"Oh sorry!" Robert interrupts suddenly. "But House, you have to know that our son, Adam right here, is getting married to Rachel Cuddy.

Greg almost throws up his drink. "What?! Does she…?"

"She does not seem to understand what happened between you and Cuddy, or why they left PPTH. And Cuddy is dead." Robert adds, before summarizing the rest of the story.

Way Out

Greg's head is still spinning on the way out. His daughter is marrying the son of Chase and Adams and one of their other sons is marrying Rachel!

After Wilson's death, Greg House considered tracking down Cuddy, so that he could apologize.

He chose not to, partly because he figured that she would turn him in, and also because he was scared.

Scared to face the reality of his actions, the severity, the horror and even more fearful of the emotional toll.

Greg stopped loving Lisa Cuddy the moment he drove that car into her house and there was nothing left to discuss at that point.

So, he never reached out to Cuddy and now she is dead.

Did she ever hear the news of his fake death?

If so, did she care?

Perhaps she celebrated.

He will never know and it doesn't matter.

Never will.

Greg, Lucy and Dominika might attend Rachel and Adam's wedding. If they do, Greg has no intention of interacting with Rachel.

He was fond of that girl but the past is in the past and they each have their own families now.

"She look familiar!" Dominika points at the woman, who is walking alongside a man and a girl.

"Cameron!" Greg shouts aloud by accident.

Allison Cameron trips on the sidewalk and Emma Jeffries catches her.

"House!" Allison pinches herself and he does not go away.

"Yeah!" Greg gives her the story.

"Oh my!" That is all Allison has to say.

House was alive this whole time!

"So this is your third husband. Ex-husband now!" Greg eyes Thomas Jeffries.

"Yes." Thomas answers.

"You are the ex husband of Jessica Adams!" Greg exclaims.

"How do you know…?" Thomas stammers.

"He knows everything." Allison dismisses the mystery. "So…"

"Well, gotta go." Greg waves as he rushes off with Dominika and Lucy.

He'd love to watch because this meeting would be exciting but he has things to do.

Third

Emma greets Casey with a kiss.

"It is nice to…" Allison and Thomas drop their jaws.

"Allison!" Robert is surprised to see her but he feels nothing.

That stuff passed a while back.

"Thomas!" Jessica no longer has the urge to punch him.

It is just not worth it.

"So…" Adam makes the connection.

They sit.

"Basically, Allison and Robert were married and Thomas and Jessica were married." Robert deduces, as they get the details sorted.

Everyone stares around awkwardly.

"Did you see House?" Robert diffuses the silence.

"Yeah!" Allison answers.

"So, wedding plans…" Emma and Casey are eager to get this over with.

"Course!" Jessica ignores Thomas and gets to planning.

The meeting is uncomfortable, awkward and long but it is wrapped up quickly.

"Now we have to share grandchildren with them!" Jessica mumbles.

"As long as we never have to babysit them together!" Robert chuckles. "We will be fine."

He gives her his signature kiss.

"They could have been our sons." Thomas says.

"Yeah. Guess we both threw away good thing and ended up like this." Allison shrugs.

"Oh well. See you at the wedding then." Thomas waves.

"You too!" Allison waves back before walking off.

The weddings are very successful.

Greg House never runs into Rachel Cuddy.

Casey and Emma have twin sons, while Chase and Lucy have twin daughters.

Adam and Rachel have a twin son and daughter.

Robert, Jessica, Greg, Dominika, Simon, his parents, Soellners and everyone else all live happily after.
