Ok, this one's for you, Dark Cat of the Jellicle Tribe, so silent and mysterious! Enjoy!
This IS one poem, but I had to use the ruler tool to section it. Just imagine spaces where the lines are and you'll be fine!
I live, and yet, no-one sees me,
They never even notice I'm there.
I don't deliberately hide from the world,
The world hides me.
If I speak, they all turn to look,
And even then most do not see me.
I try, in every way, to make myself known to them,
But it never works out for me.
And he, with his beautiful, lush green eyes,
So cockily swaggering past.
If I'm there, standing right in the way of his path,
He just moves around me, like he would a tree.
My coat, I admit, is a lovely colour,
Dark brown, with few points of white.
But my sister outshines me, with confidence glowing,
Will I ever match her pride?
I don't know, these days, whether I am,
Coming, or going, or both.
My sister, she's certain, she knows what goes on,
With Alonzo right by her side.
They are coming - I sense them, the whole of the Tribe,
I'll bet they never knew,
Of the magical powers, which I so secretly possess-
Well, if they asked me,
If only they thought,
To talk to me once in a while, they'd find out.
This queen is more than she seems.
I wasn't named 'Exotica' for nought, you know!
Well, that's the poem. Hope y'all liked it. Please R&R - no flames, this is only my first poetry piece, y'know!
P.S.- Exotica is in love with a tom. Can you guess who? Write in your reviews who you think it is - and I'll see how many of you know the CATS characters as well as I do!
