Confusion. That's all Sportacus felt as he watched Robbie Rotten slink back home and a little girl he cared about run after her older sister.dropped everything to look after? What on earth did Robbie mean by that?

Nobody saw the Meanswell sisters for the next three days. Everybody was worried, and the Mayor for once, was keeping it to himself, when asked if they were okay he would just reply with,

'They have lots to catch up on, 4 years is a long time to be apart' and would then start prattling on about something else.

As the fourth day hit lunch time, Sportacus became worried, they're not hurt are they? wait no, my crystal would have told me. He wondered, deciding he would go and see them.

'Door!' he shouted at his airship, which was also his home, the electronic blimp opened the door onto a straight platform.

'Ladder!' Sportacus jumped forwards and started decending the white ladder that sped to the ground below.

The children bombarded him with questions about Stephanie and her sister. Eventually he told them to go and play and he will let them know later. He walked up to the Mayor's house and paused, hand raised how do I even do this? Will she shut the door in my face? it's a bit strange for somebody to care so much about a newcomer, then again I could enquire about Stephanie more. Sophie already said she knows I've taken care of her. He went to knock the door when it suddenly opened and a whirl of pink flew past him shouting

'Hi Sportacus! Bye Sportacus!' and took off towards her friends in the park. He stood there for a moment vefore he heard a noise, turning he saw Sophie watching him with a bemused smile on her face.

'Well Blue, are you coming in or standing on the porch all day?' and with that she turned and walked into the kitchen leaving Sportacus to snap his jaw closed and follow.

He sat down at the counter and crossed his arms. He frowned watching as Sophie methodically went through making herself a white hot chocolate and pouring a glass of cold water for him. This wasn't the girl he saw flee home crying, this was a strong woman who was fighting her emotions.

She looked at him expectantly. He didn't know where to start.

'er, well how are you?' how lame, what are you thinking Sportacus!Sophie snorted and grinned.

'I'm fine thank you, I'm sorry if I worried you the other day, I think I was just emotionally strung from the journey is all.' He knew she was lying, she wouldn't meet his eyes and stared just above his shoulder.

'are you sure? you seemed pretty upset over Robbie.' Her face crumpled for a split second before she grinned again. Idiot, why bring him up! I wonder if they were a couple..' look Blue, I appreciate you caring, really I do, it's something between Robert and I, he's right I did abandon him, but not for the reasons he believes, he doesn't know the whole story.' She sat fiddling with a loose thread in her jumper. she was wearing a burnt off the shoulder knitted pullover with a strap top underneath, white shorts with small cowgirl boots. Sportacus swallowed, trying with all his might not to watch her long legs tapping innocently against the stool in front of her. He cleared his throat and thought about what to say. She seemed in her own little world and he was reluctant to disturb her. Suddenly she looked up at him and he was once again lost in the pool of her eyes before she jumped up, grabbed his hand and dragged him to the door, pushing him ahead of her she stepped out and locked it behind her.

'Could I ask you a favour please Blue? Sportacus blinkedthinking, I could get used to that name.

'sure, what can I do to help?'

' I need to find an estate agents but didn't see one the other day, do you know where it is please? huh?'a what sorry?' He questioned.

'an estate agents? you know somebody who sells houses?'

' oh! a realtors. of course, it's down past the theatre come on, I'll take you.'

'Great thanks Blue!' Sportacus chuckled, her enthusiasm was contagious. they walked silently yet comfortably down the road, passed the children playing in the playground, passed the small forest and the town hall. Until they came to a small shabby Purple store that if Sportacus hadn't stopped at Sophie would have walked straight by it. He turned away to leave but Sophie grabbed his hand once more and dragged him into the store. He was fascinated, living in an airship he never had the need to enter the quirky place, there were shelves hung along the walls filled with nicknacks, photos and memorabilia. on the front desk we're building plans and official looking documents and behind the counter, sat on a rusty stool was a young man he had never met. He was young, probably late twenties at most, dressed in a crisp blue suit with a yellow tie round his neck, crisp white shirt underneath and showing considerable muscles. not as big as mine though' he thought snidley.

The young man smiled at Sophie but frowned at Sportacus. Sportacus raised an eyebrow but stood with his arms crossed next to the young woman who set herself on to the stool.

'hello, how can I help you today?'

'i'd like to buy a house near top end of the park please, preferably something completed, though I'm not against needing to do some touch ups if need be.'

The man nodded and started rifling through his filing cabinet,

'I've got just the thing, a 2 bed detached house that has the land and room to expand if you want to in the future, large kitchen, medium lounge, two bathrooms and a wc downstairs. one master bedroom with ensuite shower cubicle, bath, sink and wc. the other slightly smaller bedroom has a bathroom down the hall. a study and a dining room with a large garden and driveway. ' He rattled off, showing them pictures and pointing at the different rooms. Sophie sat studying them carefully. eventually she smiled.

'How much?'

'£120000'

'Done!' Sophie leant forwards and shook the man's hand. he held in for a second too long and she felt a shiver run up her spine. she didnt like the look he was giving her. Sportacus hadn't noticed thankfully as he was looking at the photos . its a lovely place, but a bit big for one person isn't it? oh well not my place to say.'great, just sign the contract and we can have you in there in a jiffy, if you like, I would be happy to help you renovate.' He watched her with interest. Sportacus growled lowly. wait what the he'll was that?! 'erm, no thanks I'm alright, when do I get the keys?'

'tomorrow at noon? come back here and I'll give them to you.'

'fantastic thanks so much!' As the pair walked out, the man behind the counter frowned.

Sportacus turned to Sophie,

' Well that was productive for a first visit! I have to head off and meet the Mayor, if you need help moving tomorrow just send me a message, Stephanie can show you how.' Sophie nodded and surprised him by throwing her arms round his neck.

'Thanks Blue! Have fun!' She bounced happily along the road in the direction of the house.

why did she hug me? amd why did I want her to stay for longer...
