Chapter 3: The Results are in! Let's Celebrate!

One week later, Saturday, 12:30pm…

The week had flown by. Every day when he got home from school, Sonic would check the mailbox to see if it had arrived. It never was, but it didn't hurt to check. He'd been texting Amy and Kyouka every day, asking if they'd gotten theirs yet, which the answer had always been no.

It was Saturday afternoon, and Sonic was sitting on the couch in the living room, playing some random game on his gaming console, his nerves all over the place. So much so that he couldn't fight the boss without dying. He let out a frustrated groan as the words "Game Over" flashed across the screen.

"Come on! That was a load of bull and you know it! Why would you fire a laser in that direction!?" He flopped back onto the couch with a grumble. "This sucks! I can't do anything without my nerves getting the better of me. This is so unlike me!"

"Maybe this will help subdue them?" Sonic's head swivelled around so fast that Longclaw was surprised his neck didn't snap with the whiplash. In her feathered wing, was a white envelope with a red wax seal. Sonic's eyes widened at the sight.

"What! When did that get here!? I already checked the mail today."

"You do know that someone hand delivers them, right? Do you know how many letters would go missing if it went through the regular mail?" Huh. That was news to him. It did make sense though. Jumping over the couch, Sonic reached for the letter, only for Longclaw to hold it up out of his regular reach.

"Really? I've been waiting forever for it and when it finally comes, you just want to torture me more?"

"Yes." She chuckled a little. "Just so you know, whatever happens, I will always be proud of you. You know that right?"

"I know." Wasting no time, Sonic backed up a little before running at the wall and jumping. He bounced off it and plucked the letter out of Longclaw's wing mid-arc. He landed with grace and gave her a smirk over his shoulder. "You always are!" He made his way up to his room and closed the door. This was it. The moment he'd been waiting for. There was one thing he need to do now.

Sonic: It's here! It's finally here! I'll let you know the results when I've read it!

He sent the text to both Amy and Kyouka, before switching his phone onto silent. He didn't want to be interrupted for something like this. Using a ruler to open the letter, he was surprised when a little metal disk fell out onto his desk. Before he could pick it up, a projection shot out of it, startling him.

"I AM HERE! In a projection that is!" Sonic's grin couldn't be wiped off his face now, knowing that the number one hero was presenting his results.

"You weren't kidding when you said you wanted to try out for UA with your own strength. Most of the staff couldn't keep their eyes off you. But that's not the point here. The point that needs to be made is your score!" If Sonic could be any more excited, he would be bouncing off the walls. "You did well during the exam. Both you and your friend that you mentioned the other day. Your written exam was close to perfect. What I would expect from someone who knows heroics. But the "villain" points are where you really shined."

"Quit stalling and get to the point!" Sonic mumbled to himself.

"Forty-nine points! An astounding display if I do say so myself." More than he thought he got but he wasn't bothered in the slightest. "But there was also another factor we were giving points for as well."

Sonic blinked. Another factor? What could… Oh wait!

"Rescue points! Points given to those who sacrificed points in order to help those in need. In total, you saved seven people from the zero-pointer's rampage. Seven lives that most heroes would feel guilty about had they not been saved. Thanks to your heroic efforts, you have earned yourself ninety-one points!" Of course, UA wouldn't let basic heroics go unrewarded. Sonic's heart soared when he did the maths in his head. "That brings your total score to a whopping ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY POINTS! More than enough to be let in. Congratulations!" His grin was huge. He couldn't believe it. He'd actually done it! He knew he would, but this was surreal. He couldn't wait to tell Longclaw. "With the score you have achieved, you and eleven others have been placed into the new elite class at UA. Class 1-S."

That was new. He'd never heard about an elite class before. Nonetheless, he heard All Might begin to wrap up his pre-recorded speech.

"We look forward to seeing you when the new year starts! Welcome. To your Hero Academia!"

With that, All Might was replaced with a few pops of confetti and the leader board. Taking a moment to check it, he was surprised that his name wasn't on it. Neither was Amy's or Kirigaya's. Kyouka's and Izuku's were though. Kyouka had finished with thirty-eight villain points and seven rescue points, while Izuku had no villain points and sixty rescue points. Someone called Katsuki Bakugou had taken the top with seventy-seven villain points. Sonic couldn't help but stare at the board with wonder. These people must have some amazing quirks.

Grabbing his phone off the bed behind him, he saw two messages from his friends.

Amy: So did I! Don't tell me what you got. We should meet up soon and reveal the outcome in person!

Jirou: Me too. Can't wait to find out my score. Best of luck to you!

By now, they both would have seen it, so he created a group chat and shot them both a message as he left his room.

Sonic: Let's meet up at Musutafu Station at 1:30 and go out for a late lunch. I have no doubt that we all made it!

Sonic reached the bottom of the stairs to see Longclaw sitting at the bench with cup of what he assumed was tea in her wings. She stared at him intently.

"Well?"

"Forty-nine villain points!"

"Is that all? I'm surprised."

"…And ninety-one rescue points. A total of one hundred and forty points." Longclaw squealed uncharacteristically.

"I knew it! You never cease to amaze me Sonic." She pulled him into a hug after putting her cup down. Sonic enthusiastically returned it.

"I was put in this world to impress I guess."

"Oh please. You're here for greater things than that!" Pulling himself away, Sonic pointed to the door.

"I'm going to go meet up with Amy and Jirou for a late lunch. I should be back before dinner." Longclaw waved a wing at him.

"Go. Enjoy yourself. I have zero doubt they made it too." Sonic brought both thumbs up and made his way through the door after a quick goodbye. Pulling his phone back out and switching back off silent mode, he found that both girls had gotten back to him.

Jirou: Sure. I'm not busy. But I'll have to head back home before four because my folks want to celebrate as well.

Amy: No problem. Meet you both there soon!

Sonic: Your parents have every right to want to celebrate. Your score was pretty good.

Jirou: Wha…? How did you…

Amy: Your score was on the board. I'm kinda miffed that Sonic and mine weren't though…

Sonic: Save it for when we meet up!

Sonic arrived at the station first. Stepping through the ticket machine, he sat down on one of the many seats overlooking the stairs. He'd gotten there earlier that he'd thought he would, so he had time to kill. Pulling his phone back out, he picked a random runner app and played that. Unfortunately, he didn't get very far before it was snatched away from him. Looking up, he was met with the unfriendly faces of two people. A man with tattoos all over his arms and a woman who wore a shirt that was way too small for her. The man jeered at him.

"What's an animal like you doing in a place like this, huh? Honestly, you animals should just be shipped off to the nearest zoo."

"Yeah! You tell him baby!" Great. Just what he didn't want to deal with right now. Two very obnoxious Anti-Anthro's. He forced himself to smile.

"I'm waiting for my friends. We were going to discuss out UA Entrance Exam results." The man laughed loudly.

"Ha! An Anthro at UA? Please, you animals shouldn't be allowed to become heroes. Have you ever heard of an Anthro hero before babe?"

"Nope. No Anthro's ever been a hero before!"

"That's why I intend on being the first." Sonic said calmly. "Could I have my phone back please?"

"Eh? First Anthro hero? Puh-lease. There's no way someone like you could be a hero. Like, ever!"

"But you don't know me at all. You don't know what my quirk is or if I'm as heroic as I say."

"Face it, scumbag. Your kind can never be heroes. Now or in the future." That really rubbed him the wrong way. If these Anti-Anthro's didn't believe him, he would just have to prove them wrong.

Thankfully, before he could, his saving grace placed a hand on both of their shoulders.

"He asked nicely to have his phone back. Would you be as kind to return it to him?" Both Anti-Anthro's turned to find the ticked off face of Aoi Sakurai. "And once you have, kindly shove off." The man's face showed his pissed off demeanour.

"Who the hell do you think you are bitch? I'm simply putting this animal in its place."

"But "he" is a Humanoid. A human with animalistic traits. And he is going to be the best damn hero the world has ever seen." The woman laughed in her face and gave Aoi a hard shove.

"Ha! Did you hear that Robbie? She thinks the pincushion can be a-" A punch made satisfying contact with her face and she hit the ground like a sack of potatoes. Robbie shot a look to Aoi, who was nursing her fist.

"Ow. Don't think I've ever hit someone so hard before." She murmured to herself. "As a member of the Tokyo Train Station Security Team, I am placing both of you under temporary arrest for Humanoid Racism. Anything you say or do can be used against you."

"Fuck you bitch!" Robbie threw his hand up and shot a bolt of lightning at Aoi. She was quick enough to dodge and was in his face in a matter of seconds. With a graceful leap, her knee was planted firmly into his face. As he was shoved forcefully backwards, Aoi brought her free leg around and round-housed him in the shoulder, sending him flying into the wall. Safe to say, he wasn't getting up anytime soon. With a huff, Aoi gave her skirt a tug before grabbing the radio speaker on her shoulder.

"I have two individuals who were harassing a Humanoid customer here to be taken away. Both resisted and are now unconscious." Sonic heard a gruff voice speak to her from his end.

"Damnit Sakurai. Why do you have to be so hard on people?"

"With all due respect sir, the male attempted to use his quirk on me. The female made physical contact. I had every right to."

"But… Ugh. You're lucky you're one of my best Sakurai. Sayuri is on her way. Don't go anywhere."

"You have my word." She placed the speaker back into its place and turned back to Sonic. "You good?"

"Yeah. They surprised me that's all." He recollected his phone from the floor. Thankfully, when Robbie had dropped it, it hadn't cracked or anything. "But I didn't think you worked Saturday's."

"I had to cover for one of my colleagues who called in sick. Lucky huh?"

"You bet. Thanks for that."

"Anytime Spikes." She decided to change the subject. "You should've gotten your UA letter by now. How'd you do?"

"One hundred and forty points." Her eyes widened to the size of plates.

"You're shitting me! No way!"

"Forty-nine of those were villain points while the other ninety-one were for rescuing people." She playfully shoved his shoulder.

"That's so like you. Congrats man. Way better than my attempt." This intrigued Sonic immensely.

"Your attempt?" Aoi shrugged her shoulders.

"What? You thought the Public Security Force was my first choice of hero courses? Few years ago, I tried out for UA. I only got twenty-seven points. Nowhere near the required score. So I applied here and look at me now. Using a provisional security pass to fight villains that come within a ten-kilometre radius of the station. Pretty silly huh?" Sonic shook his head.

"Not at all. At least you gave it a go. Besides, I know you'll get your full licence sometime soon." Aoi ruffled the fur on his head.

"Don't you go worrying about me Spikes. Like I said, it was a few years ago. It doesn't bother me as much anymore."

"Sonic!"

Both Sonic and Aoi looked back to see Amy coming towards them. Kyouka wasn't far behind. Aoi gave him a pat on the back as she stood up.

"Go on. I'll clean up things here. Can't wait to see you in your new uniform kiddo!" With that, Aoi turned to address the other security team member that had just arrived. Amy looked between her and the people on the floor before turning to Sonic.

"Anti-Anthro's?" A simple nod was all she needed. "Are you ok?"

"I'm fine. Aoi took care of them for me."

"Who's Aoi?" Kyouka asked.

"Aoi Sakurai. Only the most badass person on the planet." He pointed to Aoi. "She's a part of the security team here."

"I see." Amy grabbed her two friends by the hands and began to pull.

"Come on! I want to know how you both did!" She called back to them as she dragged them through the station.

Once again, because the author knows as much about Japan as the principles behind building a rocket, the three friends settled on a small café inside on top of a shopping mall not too far away from Musutafu Station. Taking one of the rooftop terrace's tables, Kyouka pulled her phone out of her bag.

"So, my name was on the leader board and that's how you saw my score?" Amy nodded as she waved down a waiter. "And I was looking forward to telling you my score." When the waiter arrived, they all ordered their own meals before going back to their conversation.

"Forty-five points is nothing to be scoffed at. It's still an amazing score." Sonic pointed out. Amy nodded.

"Oh definitely." Kyouka brought up picture of the leader board that she'd taken on her phone and placed it on the table.

"But compared to the Midoriya boy's score, mine just seems… poor."

"No way! You made it in, so that's all that matters. Which class were you put into?"

"Class 1-A. Supposably the higher class. It could have been worse, I guess. I could've been put into 1-B. Or worse, general studies!" Sonic had a full-hearted laugh at that. "Shut up. What about you Sonic?"

"Actually, I want to hear Amy's score first. I want to know why she wasn't on the leader board. You didn't fail, did you?" He joked. He wasn't particularly surprised when a hand hit his face from across the table. "Yeah, I deserved that."

"Of course I didn't fail!" She grinned brightly. "I got one hundred points!" Kyouka's head slumped to the table.

"You guys are making me feel like my score is nothing." Sonic patted her shoulder from across the table.

"It really isn't Jirou. Don't beat yourself up about it!"

"But Rose has so many more points than me!" Amy chuckled sheepishly.

"Most of them were villain points though. I only got forty rescue points."

"That's still way more than me!"

"Wow. How are you going to react to my score if you think Amy's is bad?" Both girls' heads turned to Sonic, who had a smug smile on his face.

"You got more than me?"

"Nooo!" Sonic held up four fingers.

"Forty-nine villain points."

"Oh ok. That's not so bad…"

"And ninety-one rescue points." Sonic could see the gears turning in their heads as they added the two together. "And please don't shout it out. I don't want people to give us funny looks."

"One hundred and forty points!?" They both whispered harshly. Sonic chuckled as he leant back.

"How the hell did you get that many?" Amy demanded while Kyouka sunk deeper into her seat.

"I've been practicing remember? I'm surprised you didn't get more than you did with all the training you've done Ames."

"You two just blew me out of the water." Kyouka mumbled quietly to herself.

"So does that mean you're in Class 1-S too? If you got more points than I did then surely you did." Sonic winked at her as Kyouka's head perked up.

"Class 1-S? How does that work? I didn't even realise there were so many hero classes."

"No, I think the S is for super or something along those lines. 1-S is supposably an elite class." Kyouka's tapped her headphone jacks together.

"Lucky. I just hope my class is as good as yours."

The waiter returned with their food at last and they quickly set to work eating their food. Whilst doing so, Kyouka perked up again.

"Now that I think about it, I don't know what either of your quirks are. You know a little bit about mine, but I have no idea what yours are. All I know about Rose's is that it involves a hammer of some sort." Amy took the que and spoke up before Sonic could.

"My quirk is Piko Piko Hammer. Basically, I can summon and dispel a giant hammer out of nowhere whenever I want." She proved her point by holding her hand up. Not a second later, the large pink hammer appeared in it. She passed it to Kyouka to hold. "I can use it like a regular hammer to smash stuff into oblivion, or I can use it for mobility. Like launching myself into the air or spinning around with it like a spinning top to float. It also makes this funny noise whenever I hit something with it." Kyouka leant across the table and lightly bopped Sonic on the head. It made a soft "piko" noise.

"Huh. Neat." Amy then made it disappear from her hands.

"Sonic's quirk is way flashier than mine though." Sonic nodded his head as he swallowed the egg he'd just put in his mouth.

"Mine I like to call Supersonic."

"Egotistical much?"

"Ha ha. Very funny. Haven't heard that one like a million times." He rolled his eyes. "No, Supersonic as in breaking the sound barrier. I can move at supersonic speeds just by running and move my limbs fast enough to create pressurised air. Combined with my hedgehog abilities, I can also roll around at the speed of sound if I wanted to." Kyouka let a low whistle escape her lips.

"So you could run around the world if you wanted to?"

"Dunno. The law that prevents that is kinda annoying. I'd love to see it all someday though."

"Maybe you will one day. For now, I guess it's my turn." Both hedgehogs turned to look at the purple-haired girl. "My quirk is Earphone Jack. Depending what I plug them into I can use them to play different roles. For example, I can pick up sound in a different room and hear conversations or I can blow whatever their plugged into up with soundwaves."

"So if you stabbed them into someone's skull…"

"Please don't give me that image. I can't handle scary movies."

"Sorry."

"But the soundwaves I produce come from the beating of my heart. I just control the density and output of the sound."

"And you can plug them into speakers and listen to music right? Saves you having to get headphones I guess."

"Yep. Also, my ears are really sensitive, so don't go shouting in my ears anytime soon." Both hedgehogs chuckled at that but nodded all the same.

The three friends finished their meals and headed out. Hitting up the arcade for an hour or so was fun but eventually, Kyouka had to head home. Sonic and Amy wanted to spend a little longer once she'd said her goodbyes, the trio became a duo. They messed around with the games a little, both having their own strengths and weaknesses. Sonic was awesome at the racing and dancing games while Amy had the upper hand in the shooting games. It was a lot of fun and the two couldn't be happier.

They were eventually kicked out at closing time and the two walked back to the station. Aoi had apparently finished up for the day and had gone home way before they got back there. Not that it was a bother at all. Standing on the platform, Sonic felt his phone buzz. It must've been something in the group chat because Amy pulled her phone out too.

Jirou: Look at what my parents did for me! I don't think I could be any more embarrassed!

With the text, was a photo of Kyouka sitting on the couch in her living room. There was a banner in the background that read "Congratulations Kyouka!" on it. She was also wearing a party hat, a bright red blush over her face. Sonic let out a snort, only to be elbowed in the side by Amy.

"Don't be rude." She scolded him.

"What? You gotta admit, it's kinda funny." Amy rolled her eyes as she replied. Sonic saw the text appear on his screen.

Amy: They're just happy for you Jirou. Parents love to embarrass their kids. I should know. My parents wouldn't let me go when I told them my score.

Sonic: Besides, you look cute with that scowl on your face. I'm sure any boy would like that!

Sonic wasn't expecting his phone to ring a few seconds after sending that. It was Kyouka's number, so he answered the video call pretty much straight away.

"What? Couldn't handle the…" He trailed off when an unfamiliar face filled it.

"Who are you to call my daughter cute huh?"

"Dad! Why'd you have to call him! Give it back!" Sonic heard in the background. He gulped nervously.

"Oh. Hi sir. I was just joking with Jirou. I'm a friend of hers." He glanced to Amy, but she was no help. She was giggling to herself. He glared at her before looking back to the screen. "Is there a problem with that sir?"

"Of course there it! Kyouka is my daughter and I have every right to-" The phone jostled about before Kyouka's face filled the screen.

"Dad! He's just someone I met at the exam! We joke around like that all the time. God your embarrassing!" She turned back to Sonic. "Sorry about that. My dad can be a little over-protective of his "little girl" sometimes." She glared in his direction. Sonic waved his hand dismissively.

"It's all good. I'm not offended. Can I talk to him for a sec?" Kyouka raised an eyebrow but turned her phone around anyway. Her dad's face returned to the screen. "Hi. We got off on the wrong foot. My name's Sonic and I met your daughter at the exam like she said." He bowed to the camera. "Pleasure to meet you." Her dad let out a sigh.

"I suppose if you're just friends then. I'm Kyotoku Jirou. The pleasure is all mine."

"You just wanted to introduce yourself?" Kyouka's voice asked in the background.

"Why not? The chance presented itself."

"Always the smooth talker." The camera moved again, now landing on an older woman with the same earphone jacks that Kyouka had. "While we're at it, this is my mom." The woman looked up from what she was doing and waved.

"Hello. I'm Mika Jirou. Forgive my husband's brashness."

"No harm, no foul." Sonic grabbed Amy's arm and pulled her into the shot with a yelp. "This is my best friend Amy Rose. She's also friends with Jirou."

"H-hi. Sorry about this."

"Pleasure to meet you both, Sonic and Rose." An announcement was heard overhead, indicating that Sonic's train was arriving.

"Sorry to cut the introductions short, but my train's arriving. We can talk another time yeah?"

"Very well. Thank you for clearing up what I wrongly judged."

"Anytime sir. Talk to you soon Jirou!" Her face appeared back in the screen, a look of embarrassment on her face.

"Yeah, whatever. Bye." With that, the call was ended.

"They seemed nice." Amy punched him in the arm. Hard. "Ow! Ok, sorry for introducing you on such short notice. Can I go before my train leaves?"

"You better be. See you on Monday." Sonic had to zoom onto the train so that he didn't miss it, the afterglow staying with Amy for a moment before fading away. She waved to him as his train left the station and headed for home.

Sonic found that when he got home, Longclaw had set up her own celebratory dinner for him. So by the time he got to bed, he was royally stuffed with food.

The last few weeks flew by, Sonic and Amy's final studies at the unnamed school flying past, at least three more catch ups with Kyouka and many encounters with Aoi. The days counted down and at long last, the day finally arrived.

Longclaw had fussed over him immensely but was surprisingly calm about it. Sonic had to force his way out the door to stop the older owl from smothering him. He stood on the platform of Musutafu Station again, waiting for Amy to arrive. His foot tapped in his brand new red and white "movie" shoes that Longclaw had bought for him along with the UA uniform tailored to his physique. He wasn't sure how long the pants would last; thanks to all his other pants he owned that had been shredded when he used his quirk but only time would tell he supposed.

He spotted Amy's train pulling into the platform and waited for it to stop. When it did, people began filing out. It didn't take him long to spot his bright pink friend, as she stood out amongst the bland grey that was the station. She too spotted him, and she gestured to the gate. With a nod, he joined the crowd and exited the platform. Amy approached him when she had the chance.

"Look at you! You look so smart!" She pinched his cheeks to which, he recoiled and swatted her hands away softly.

"How old are you, like, eighty? Only grandmas can do that!" Amy gasped in horror.

"How rude! Never assume a lady's age!"

"But I know how old you are. I came to your birthday party this year didn't I?" Amy puffed up her cheeks.

"You can be really annoying when you want to be you know?" Sonic's reaction was a simple chuckle.

"That's not my intention but ok." He pointed down the hall. "Wanna get the interaction with Aoi over and done with so we're not late on our first day?"

"That's probably a good idea." She followed her blue quilled friend down the hall, on the lookout for the redheaded beauty. They found her near the exit talking to an elderly lady. She was pointing towards the shopping centre down the street, so he guessed she was giving her directions. They waited patiently for her to show her off before Sonic cleared his throat.

"Excuse me ma'am, but could you point us in the direction of the bus stop to UA please?" Aoi spun on her feet and squealed when she saw the pair.

"Oh my god you two look so cute!" She knelt down and pulled them both into a huge hug. "I'm so proud of you both!"

"Sakurai. I need air!"

"Your boobs are touching my arm!" She pulled back and gave Sonic a sly smirk.

"So? We're familiar with each other so it shouldn't be an issue." For what was probably the one of the first times ever, Sonic felt a blush cross his face. Aoi chuckled at his expense. "Ha! It can be done! It is possible to make the blue blur blush!"

"Really?" Aoi stuck her tongue out at him.

"Anything for my favourite hedgehog!" She then addressed the issue at hand. "You nervous?"

"A little."

"Nope!"

"Good. Take his approach Rose. You'll do fine!"

"Easy for you to say. He's always confident, no matter the situation."

"Well, we saw that's not the case anymore just now." She put a hand on Amy's shoulder. "And I think we're good enough friends for you to start calling me Aoi." Her eyes widened.

"Really?" Aoi simply nodded. "Ok! You can call me Amy then Aoi."

"Sure Amy." The roar of the bus approaching alerted them that they needed to wrap up their conversation. "Well then…" Aoi stood back up to her full height, bringing the hedgehogs just above her bellybutton.

"Good luck at UA you two." Sonic waved a hand at her.

"It's not a big deal though. We're just doing orientation today. Our real lessons start tomorrow."

"Does it matter that I want to wish you good luck?"

"No way. Thanks for your vote of confidence!" Aoi watched them hop onto the bus.

"See you later. Plus Ultra, ya hear? Have fun!" Both hedgehogs waved goodbye from the window as the bus headed out of the station's terminal. They hadn't waited for Kyouka because she'd let them know the previous night that her parents had insisted on dropping her off, much to her embarrassment.

As the bus moved through the streets of the city, Sonic turned to Amy, who was sitting in the seat next to him.

"What kind of quirks do you think our classmate will have?" Amy put a finger to her chin in thought.

"They'd have to have some pretty insane quirks if they scored as much as we did. I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of them was severely overpowered!"

"Perhaps. Or maybe they have mediocre ones, they're just really efficient at using them?" Amy's smile never faded.

"You said it yourself. Perhaps. Perhaps not. God, I'm so nervous!" Sonic chuckled quietly as the bus started up the hill on the final stretch towards their new school. When it stopped at the bus stop, several people hopped off, each with their own unique attributes. Sonic and Amy were the last ones off, the bus continuing its scheduled journey once they stepped off the footplate. Sonic breathed in the fresh air before glancing to Amy.

"I know I've asked already, but are you ready?"

"As I'll ever be. Let's go to class." Was her response as she walked onto the academy grounds. "Don't let me leave you behind!"

"Ha! No chance of that!"

The two hedgehogs navigated the halls of the prestige academy, Amy leading the way with the map in her head she'd memorised from the front desk with Sonic trailing behind. They were both getting looks from some of the other students, but Sonic shrugged it off as curiosity. They were probably the first Humanoids to become heroes here after all, so they had every right to be curious. Now that he thought about it, were there other Humanoids in the second or third-year classes? If so, he and Amy may not become the first Humanoid heroes. He'd have to investigate that.

The two passed the room for Class 1-A and Sonic was tempted to peek his head into it to see if Kyouka was there already but decided against it when he heard someone shouting at someone from within. He'd have enough time to get to know them during lunch tomorrow. He couldn't wait to see Izuku's face when the two met up again.

"Sorry. Excuse me." Sonic nearly tripped over something yellow he hadn't seen had a voice not spoken up. He had to hop over said object before looking back to it.

"No. It was my bad. I wasn't watching where I was going."

"Aspiring heroes should always be vigilant. Keep that in mind." He raised an eyebrow at that. Now that he had a better look at it, he discovered that it was something… No, someone in a sleeping bag. He was shuffling towards Class 1-A's door like a caterpillar which he found slightly funny. But he wasn't going to laugh out loud, just in case this guy was a party pooper. His scruffy face that made him look as if he hadn't slept in weeks made him look the part.

"Sure. Thanks for the advice sir."

"Get to class." Sonic felt bad for whichever class had him as a homeroom teacher. Turning away from the yellow sleeping bag, he realised that Amy had left him behind. He was so glad he could use his quirk here.

Speeding down the hall, he found her standing in front of a massive door. Skidding to a stop next to her, he patted her shoulder, making her flinch in surprise.

"Come on. Stop stalling." She glared at him.

"I'm not! I'm just-" Sonic grabbed the handle of the door and opened it. Stepping inside with Amy hot on his heels, he felt three sets of eyes land on him.

He immediately recognised the black hair of the boy named Kirigaya, sitting in one of the seats near the window. He gave him a small smile.

There was a girl with a long blond ponytail and green eyes sitting behind Kirigaya. She had a curious look in her eyes as she checked out the two hedgehogs.

The last girl that was sitting on the left side of the room next to the hall window was tanned, had grey eyes and a similar coloured hairstyle in a bob cut. She had a headband with two ribbons sprouting out of the top on her head too. She seemed uninterested in the pair but held the same curiosity as the others did. Sonic gave them a simple wave.

"Yo! How you all doing this morning?" The blondie behind Kirigaya stood up in her seat and came over to greet them.

"Hi! You sure are friendly at this time in the morning." Sonic shrugged his shoulders.

"What can I say? I'm a morning person." The girl laughed softly.

"Wish I could say the same, but mornings and I don't mix." She offered him her hand. "I'm Suguha Kirigaya! Pleasure to meet you." Sonic shook her hand with confidence, only one thing confusing him.

"Sonic. I thought his name was Kirigaya though." He gestured to said boy who chuckled to himself.

"I am. Sugu's my sister."

"Ah. That makes sense. That's going to be confusing."

"No it won't! You can call me by my future hero name if it makes it easier. Just call me Leafa."

"That works for me." He returned his gaze to Kirigaya. "You going to introduce yourself properly this time?"

"Sure. Kazuto Kirigaya."

"A man of many words I see."

"Yep."

"He's a bit of an otaku, don't mind him."

"S-Sugu!" Leafa stuck her tongue out at him before turning to Amy, who chose now to be shy.

"What about you? What's your name?"

"A-Amy Rose. Pleasure to meet you Leafa."

"Likewise."

Before the new classmates could turn their attention to the grey-haired girl, the door was slid open again, drawing everyone's attention there instead. In the doorway, was another girl. She had long brown hair and a pair of headphones hanging around her neck. Her eyes were also brown, and she held a somewhat exhausted look on her face. What stood out to Sonic the most was the four whisker-like pink triangles on her cheeks. And the fact that she was very pretty. She let out a loud gasp.

"Made it! That was way too close!" She glanced around the room. "I am on time, aren't I?" Leafa chuckled at her kind-heartedly.

"You are. And you've got five minutes to spare."

"Thank god! I was worried I wouldn't make it." She trudged passed the small group and flopped into one of the seats in the middle of the room. Leafa pointed to the other seats.

"We'd probably get our seats too. I've heard that some of the teachers here are a little strict on how quickly you get to your seats. I don't know who we have, but just to be safe…" The hedgehogs nodded and picked their own seats. Amy opted to sit in the front row while Sonic sat near the brown-haired girl. As the last five minutes ticked away, several more teens entered the room.

The first to enter was boy with a dark skin tone. He had black hair that was done into a small afro. He had a pair of red headphones over his ears as he quietly hummed to whatever he was listening to. He took the seat in front of the grey-haired girl before taking out a notebook from his bag and began drawing in it. He gave the others in the room a nod before going back to his work.

Not long after he'd arrived, a girl with fox ears on her head stepped into the room as well. Her hair was blond with pink tips and her eyes were a brilliant shade of blue. Similarly to the brown-haired girl, she had six blue whisker like marks on her cheeks. Her most noticeable features were her blue crystalised tail that the light bounced off quite nicely and her… Ahem… Voluptuous figure. Seriously, was she even their age? She took the seat behind Leafa.

Not even two minutes later, a boy with long spiky grey hair timidly poked his head in. he had ruby red eyes and a small scar on his left cheek. He came in through the door, quickly panicking when everyone stared at him.

"Hello." He uttered quietly before quickly taking his seat just behind Sonic. When he was seated, he lowered his head, trying not to look at the others. Sonic, being the kind soul he is, was going to try and talk to him before the door was pushed open again.

"Seriously? Man, she's is going to be pissed when she finds out! Why'd you go and do that?"

The boy of the duo that had just entered was yet another blonde, his hair in a mohawk-like fashion with the sides of his head shaved off. He had a small band aid over the corner of his left eyebrow and a black facemask over his mouth.

He was holding a conversation with a black-haired girl with a green streak in it on her left side. She had turquoise eyes and a cheeky smile. On her left ear, she had a strawberry earing while she also wore a chain necklace around her neck. She playfully slapped the boy's arm as he rolled his eyes.

"I don't know why she'd get mad. That was my cereal that I bought with my own money. Even if it was hers, she shouldn't have left it at my apartment." With a sigh, he gave the others in the room a wave. "Morning."

"Hiya! It's a pleasure to meet you all!" The two quickly found their seats and sat down. Now, eleven of the twelve seats were filled.

Sonic eyed the room quickly, observing his classmates quietly. None of them had mutant type quirks so he was interested to see what they were when he had the chance.

The first bell finally rang, and the door was opened once more. Their teacher walked into the room and stood at the front of the room.

"Look at you all! Already in your seats. I can't shake the feeling that you're all going to become fine heroes one day. But I'm getting ahead of myself." She turned to the board with a smirk, having seen both Sonic and Amy's shocked expressions. Grabbing the chalk off the board rail, she wrote two words on it before turning back around.

"My name is Laura Candice. But you may know me better as the Owl Hero Longclaw. It's a pleasure to meet you all."

Laura Candice!

Hero Name: Longclaw!

Quirk: Owl!

Despite her appearance, Laura's quirk is what makes her look like a giant owl, people often mistaking her for a Humanoid. She shares her characteristics with a regular owl, being able to swivel her head in a 360-degree fashion, fly with her powerful wings and making use of her power enhanced talons, which can rip through steel if need be.

"I hope I can help you on your path to becoming heroes. Plus Ultra everyone!"

Be honest. How many of you saw this coming?

At last, the class has been revealed. Well, almost all of them. There's one more on the way but they'll make their appearance soon.

I think it goes without saying, but some of the characters are going to be a little bit out of character in this story. Just so they better suit the setting. Same goes for all their ages. Can't have adults running around in high schooler's clothing can we?

That's all from me for now. I'll talk to you all in the next chapter!
