Episode 76: Anaconda Returns
CHAPTER 1: A FAMILIAR FACE
Lucy and Cobra were in the same history class for 1st period. They had Mr. Othmar, Ms. Othmar's brother. Lucy had told him about Linus's old crush on his sister, to Linus's embarrassment. He had a good chuckle about it and told Linus that it was normal, and a lot of boys who had her liked her. But the subject of discussion was not Linus's past infatuation with Ms. Othmar, but what was happening with Sam's Auto Salvage Yard.
"According to news reports, there were dead bodies discovered on the property," said Cobra.
"Man, Python losing her life there was bad enough, but there were rotting corpses there, as well?!" said a disbelieving Lucy. "It seems that Sam himself was bad."
"Well they aren't discussing if Sam was involved or not, or even his crazy daughter Gertie. According to the news, the investigation is still ongoing."
"Well I hope something good come out of it." At that moment, Mr. Othmar walked in and begun class.
"Alright class, take your seats," he began. "Before I begin today's lesson, we have a new student arriving today. And this happens to be her first class. So help me in welcoming new student Amanda Robinson."
Lucy and Cobra gasped at who they saw. For Amanda Robinson was their former fellow Serpent Sister Anaconda! They hadn't seen her since the second confrontation with the Lizard Ladies when they nearly destroyed Sparkyville.
"She's back, Mamba!" whispered Cobra to Lucy.
"Things are about to go nuts, Cobra," Lucy replied.
Later after school, the Serpent Sisters were at Rattler's place discussing Anaconda's return. They couldn't believe she was allowed to come back to Sparkyville Public Schools after what had happened. Sure they had forgiven her for her role in Python's death, but were they ready to welcome her back into their inner circle completely?
"I don't know if I'm ready to deal with this again, girls!" said Rattler, petting Andy.
"I totally get it, Rattler," said Lucy. "It kind of blindsided all of us when she returned."
"Did you girls talk to her when she was in History with you?" asked Rattler.
"Not really," said Cobra. "We were all busy doing work in class, plus I didn't have any other classes with her."
"I had P.E. with her, but we didn't really talk or anything," added Lucy.
"She has a different lunch period than us, as well," Cobra stated.
"Well I did see her at my lunch period," said Rattler. "But I kept my distance."
"I say we do talk to her and feel her out," Cobra declared. "She may have changed since we last saw her. Maybe we can start with a clean slate."
"I hope so, Cobra," said Lucy. "It has been a while since that confrontation at Sam's, plus she redeemed herself when she helped us defeat the Lizards during that destruction they were doing."
"So it's agreed?" Cobra asked the two other girls. Lucy put her hand in the middle, and so did Rattler. All of the sudden, they heard some yelling going on in the living room. It was Rattler's parents arguing.
"What the hell is going on out there?" wondered Cobra.
"My parents have been arguing quite a bit lately," said a concerned Rattler. "I'm worried about them."
"If you need anything, don't hesitate to call one of us, or Thibault," said Lucy.
"Thanks, girls," Rattler replied. "Tee Wee has been supportive throughout this. I'm just worried it's going to get worse." And the girls and Andy continued to hear the screaming and yelling going on in the next room. Lucy and Cobra were concerned for their young friend. Plus with Anaconda back, things were going to be crazy.
