Black Clover and Dbz... I've been on a bit of a DBZ craze lately huh? Oh well.
Chapter 1: The Tailed Orphan
"You sure she will handle this mission?" a tall man asked a orange lizard like being, both of the wearing variants of the same armor. "My daughter is only a few years old. Even if it is Saiyan tradition, I can't help but worry." He ran a hand through the spiky hair of a small sleeping girl, a tail tucked into her small hands, in a pod.
"Well you know orders. Kamla has her mission to wipe out the planet... E-arth." He said as he read the screen. "A power level of a hundred at birth. You must be proud my lord."
"As to be expected of the great Malok." He said praising him self, "She will do the Saiyan kind proud." He said as the pod closed and shot off into space.
On the far outskirts of the Clover Kingdom stood a small Village called Hage, a small town with only a few hundred people living there making a living off of agriculture. This town only had one church run by a kindly man a nun simply known as Father Orsi Orfai and sister Lily, living with them were a small group of orphans among this children were Asta, a energetic young boy with silver grey hair and Yuno, a shy, soft spoken child with raven black hair.
One day Asta was helping Yuno split fire wood who used his wind magic to split the logs with ease, while Asta used his considerable strength to swing the ax as hard as he could. "Hey Yuno, WATCH THIS!" The boy shouted as he brought the ax back rapidly back over his head only for it to hit something with the sound akin to that of when Asta fell out of a tree. The two boys turned their heads to look at what appeared to be a girl their age in strange armor and a tail sticking out her back as her body twitched.
"FATHER!" The two boys yelled in horror.
The priest came out to see what had happened and ran to scoop the unconscious child in his arms. "ASTA WHAT DID YOU DO!" He rushed the child inside the church.
As the days turned to weeks it wasn't clear if the girl was going to wake up, the Priest and nun cared for the child.
Until one day her eyes opened and she sat up, unsure of where she was. "Oh, that goodness your okay." The man said as he knelt in front of the girl. "Do you remember what happened?" He asked, his salt and pepper hair had turned grey with the stressful weeks, as no one in the surrounding villages knew who she was.
"What... where..." She said holding her head in her small hands.
"What's your name?" He asked.
"Name... I... don't remember..." Her stomach growled loudly as she blushed.
"Oh dear, neither of those sound good. Say, how about... Helen?" He asked.
"Helen? That is my name?" She cocked her head at the man.
"Yes, you are Helen, and I am Father Orsi Orfai, but you can just call me Father." He said taking the girls hand. "We couldn't find your family so would you like to stay with us?" He asked. "We have root potatoes."
"Potatoes?" She asked.
"It's food."
She nodded vigorously. "Yes please... Father."
Ten years later
It was a peaceful day in Hage, the clouds rolled by. The sun shined down upon the farm land, and Asta was once again proposing to Sister Lily while I cheered my silver haired brother on. "SISTER LILY! PLEASE MARRY ME!"
"Go get her lion!" I smiled with a goofy thumbs up as my tail danced around behind me.
"Asta, I'm everyone's sister. I can't marry you." The lovely nun rebuked his affections again, just like everyday as he knelt in front of her with a pink flower.
"AAAAAAHHH!" Asta yelled. "Please! I'll make sure you never have to do anything again once I'm the Wizard King!" Leaning in close to the woman.
"ASTA!" She yelled opening her grimoire and summoning and fist of water slamming the boy into the ground. "I'm sorry!"
"Ruthless sister Lily." a shirt red headed girl with curly hair said as she held onto a toddler as a boy about seven stood there unimpressed.
"What, I didn't mean too..." The older nun blushed.
"I'M NOT DONE!" Asta leaped into the air only to get blasted down by a powerful gust of wind. He jumped back to his feet, "Yuno!"
We all turned to the tall and well dressed boy, a blue pendant with a seal on his neck, his clean clothes and clam reserved demeanor. "Asta, Sister Lily is a woman of the cloth, she can't get married. And you aren't old enough. Helen, how many times have we told you to stop encouraging him?"
I just covered my mouth as I laughed. "You think that will stop me?" I said with a mischievous smile. The three oldest, me, Asta and Yuno had always had our little banter. Yuno calm and collected, Asta loud and brash, me sly and troublemaking. "It's not like we are Father's favorites, Yuno." I pulled at my thread bare clothes to emphasise this and as he stood there, in his new clothing.
"DAMN IT! Now I'll show you my true power!" Asta yelled getting to his feet throwing his open palm at Yuno. And nothing... I felt bad for him, we all had magic, but he didn't never could cast even the most basic spells.
"How are you older then me?" Nash asked, the you boy much shorter then even Asta. "You are the only person that I know who can't use magic."
"Asta, when will you learn that you have no appeal to women, you are short, loud, obnoxious, weak and uninteresting." Yuno said, each one hitting like a arrow to the heart of our brother.
"Damn it Yuno!" Asta yelled getting in his face. "FIGHT ME!"
"Asta is funny!" The small toddler laughed.
Yuno just walked around him and went to dry the laundry with his wind magic. "No."
"DAMN IT! THEN I'll HELP WITH THE WOOD!" He ran around the church grabbing the ax lifting it high above the head to split the wood, but the loud clack filled the air as Yuno split the wood with ease from a distance.
As the two boy's stared at each other Father came out of the church. "Yuno is the future of the gack!" I elbowed him in the side.
"WE KNOW OLD MAN! You say that stupid crap everyday! Yuno this and Yuno that!" I yelled into the grey haired man's ear. "What about Asta and me? We do everything we can!"
Asta just looked away, his emerald green eyes. "I'll fix up this crappy church, just you wait!" He jumped the fence and ran off.
"Asta! Wait!" Sister Lily called out.
"Gaaahhh, I'll go get him." I said leaping over the fence and running after my brother following him all the way to the giant demon skull out side of town, the three eyed beast's remains were over grown and ruins dotted the interior. "Asta!" I called out. "Asta!"
"One, two, three, four, five..." I spotted him where we trained everyday together. I watched as he did one armed push ups. "Helen." He said as he spotted me.
"You didn't wait for me." I smirked.
"Hmph…" He looked away.
"Hey, we get our grimoires tomorrow. You will defiantly be able to use magic then." I said as I joined him in training. We had always pushed each other to go further, be it training our bodies, or wrestling in the mud. "You will be the Wizard king... right?" I asked.
"Of course! Then I can give everyone an easy life! And we can find your real family!" He said with that goofy smile of his.
"Asta, I don't want to find them, I have you, Yuno as much as he is being a meanie right now, Nash, Lily, Father, Recca, Hollo and little Aruru. You guys are my real family. And when we become magic knights together I'll have so many adventures to sing them to sleep with." I smiled.
"By sing, you mean sound like fathers fingers on the chalk board." He laughed.
"Oh, come on, I'm not that bad of a singer. I've only been banned from singing during church hours." We both laughed at this.
"Let's get our Grimoires and do our best to become the wizard King." He cheered.
"You do that, it seems like a lot of work." I said, "I just want adventure." I looked up at the sky, the sun shining through the cracks of the great skull. "I want to see more then just this little village."
Hello.
