As we walked along I tried to get a sense of where the most Mana was. But... "This place is like a Mana bomb went off here. There is just so much that is a Mage was able to absorb even a small amount of it, well... I don't know what could happen." Sol said.

"You guys are so lucky. I want to sense Mana." Asta cried to the side.

As we went to the next platform a trap went off. "AHHH!" Noelle yelled as a plant beast grabbed her and Asta.

I flicked through my grimoire for a flame spell but a gust of wind blew my hair into my face as a Barrage of wind blades shredded the beast. "Helen, Asta, my debt is paid."

"Yuno." We both smiled up at our brother, and his Golden Dawn comrades.

Chapter 20: The Dungeon; Evanora The Wicked Witch

I just stood silently as the Golden Dawn came down to us. "Black Bulls and Blue Rose, at least two of you are from a respectable squad." Klaus said. "Weren't three Black Bulls sent? Did he get cold feet and run?"

"We were sent here on a joint mission, the Black Bull in charge of those two ran ahead, Helen noted that we weren't the first ones here." Sol said, "She has has been helping to disarm the traps."

"Hmph, the tailed recruit, I still fail to see why one such as you were selected to even be a Magic knight." He said as he pushed his glasses up.

"Don't underestimate her Klaus, she may not seem like much, but her magic power is great." Yuno said.

"Oh Noelle, I didn't expect you to be here? Still having issues with controlling your magic?" The Golden Dawn girl, Mimosa Vermillion asked her.

"Oh, you know each other?" Asta asked.

"Oh, Noelle's my cousin." Mimosa said, her innocent face smiled with a warm light.

"You said that other mages arrived before us?" Klaus asked.

"Yes, a smoke magic user, a acid magic user and a third one, that I can sense and smell even through this much Mana. If I had to guess their heading towards the treasure as we speak." I said.

"Very well, Yuno, Mimosa, let's get going and claim the magic in the name of the Golden Dawn." Klaus said.

But Sol spoke up, "Wait, we should work together, even a man like you would understand that."

"Like I would ever stoop to work with a Black Bull."

"What are you scared four eyes? That we will beat you!" Asta yelled.

"Four eyes? Why you pint sized commoner! I am nobility!" Klaus yelled.

"Sol, the powers are getting closer to the treasure. Can I trust you to keep these two alive?" I asked.

"Helen what are you planning?" Sol asked.

"Do you trust me?" I asked her.

She took a breath. "Don't get hurt newbie."

As Asta and Klaus were having their shouting match I squatted down. "THEN LET'S MAKE IT A COMPETTION! THE FIRST SQUAD TO REACH THE VAULT WINS!"

"You are going to regret that! Yuno." Klaus turned to Yuno.

"Wind Creation Magic: Gale Chariot."

"Elemental Enchantment: Lightning Path." I said as My body turned to pure lighting and I blasted up through the air, my vision stretching from the speed as I flew through the air like a canon shot. I smashed into the roof of a tunnel and landed in the water below with a roll coming up running. 'Tsk. that hurt.'

Over my head Yuno and his squad mates flew over me. "Nice try Helen, but that spell is only good for short distance." Yuno said before they took off down the tunnel. I just growled as I ran full tilt unable to keep up.

My wet foot steps echoed down the hall. I sniffed the air, the smell of acid was suddenly strong as I hear from above me the turning of a page. I leaped forward as thick purple acid hit the water where I was standing. "I'm impressed, you sensed my attack in a place like this." I looked up at a crimson dress wearing woman casually sitting on a broom and a wide brimmed witches hat with a diamond design around the brim, her grimoire floating by her. "I know that robe, your a Blue Rose Knight." In one hand she held sword staff, the curved damascus blade reflecting light from the small orbs of mana.

"Where are the other two powerful mages? I know your Diamond Kingdom." I snarled.

"A perceptive little monkey." She flew lower to the ground, "If you must know, my love is facing one of your allies as we speak, that lightning magic is quite powerful, and a younger mage is fast on his way to the treasure vault. You know, your young, no doubt your still getting your feet under you in your squad. And our Kingdom needs the resources in that vault for our people, why I have three young daughters back home." She tilted her head up, her purple eyes framed by short brown hair, a woman in her mid thirties. "I can understand why you don't like having your kingdom invaded, no one dose."

"I was given a mission to complete." I growled as my grimoire open, "And you Diamond mages don't scare me, I defeated one of you before, Argentum Vulpina."

"So you are the one that killed Silver Fox, on behalf of the Shining Generals I thank you for getting rid of that leech. But he is nothing compared to me, Evanora, The Wicked Witch of the East. I am one of the Eight Shining Generals Old Generation."

"Hmph, Helen of Hage Village, Blue Rose Knight Recruit." My grimoire glowed with power.

"I commend your bravery, I'll mark your grave Helen." Her hand raised as her grimoire floated by her. "Acid Creation Magic: Acid Torrent." From her hand a powerful blast of acid raced towards me. I jumped To the side crashing into the wall before leaping from it, the stone bricks shattering from the force.

"Elemental Enchantment: Typhoon Strike!" Wind and water magic encased my arms as I went to punch her but her broom flew her out of my reach. My fist impacted the ground shattering the stone making the water drain from the water way in a lazy swirl.

"What a strange way to fight, at close range with powerful physical melee attacks. And your movement, that wasn't magically enhanced." She said.

'She already has a read on my fighting style.' I thought as I glared at her, 'That was just one attack.' "Grr."

"Oh, don't be shocked dear, I've been doing this for years. You may have more magic power then me, by a long shot, but you lack discipline and experience and you waste so much so quickly." She slashed with her sword staff twice in an X, blades of acid cutting through the air forcing me to jump further back.

"Tsk. ELEMENTAL ENCHNATMENT: DRAGON ROAR!" Flames roared from my mouth filling the tunnel.

"Acid Creation Magic: Melting Shield!" I hear over the roar of the flames. When the smoke cleared a acid sphere melted away from the witch. "I see now, you enchant your body. Though, the multiple Elements, I've never seen that naturally occur."

'Naturally occur? Why that use of words?' I thought to myself as I went through my grimoire. 'So far she has evaded and countered all of my attacks. And most of them are just different elements on my arms and legs, so they won't work here... I can't let that acid touch me either...' My lack of long and midrange spells made this a bad match up for me. 'I need speed... or for her to not be to melt me...' I flicked through me spells. 'I hate my full body enchantments. And this one drains most of my Mana. But...'

"Acid Creation Magic: Rotting All Of Creation!" A massive wave of acid filled the all surging towards and around me, there was nowhere to go.

"Full Body Enchantment: Wind Form!" I shouted as the green magic covered my whole body, turning cloth, metal, flesh and bone to pure wind. I flew through the Acid blasting a tunnel through it as I closed in on my opponent and air blasted her into a wall, the stone cracking around her before I kept up my attack. "WIND SLICE!" I slashed a hand down at her, a condensed wind attack slammed into her cutting through her dress and drawing blood.

"Tsk, ACID MIST!" She shouted as a thick mist of air born acid filled the hall, I used my power to filter it away but when it was clear she had vanished and I couldn't sense her power through the Mana. I landed on the ground, returning to my normal form, and gasped for air as I hunched over almost completely drained of my Mana.

"Hah hah..." I panted as I looked around for any sign of her. She was gone. I turned and ran onwards when I felt a massive spike of Magic power, 'It's the last member that was sent here... he's fighting Yuno!' I gritted my teeth and ran as fast as I could. 'Don't die Yuno!'

Hey, I can't take full or even most credit for Evanora, she was created by Warmachine357 who has been giving many of the ideas for this story.
