Barnabas clutched at the charred flesh of where his arm used to be. "Damn bitch... her power is growing too fast. Now with the Magic Knights and Aaron sending the others after me, I need to find the Midnight sun. I'm lucky it was Abigail, and not Judas or Lemos who found me..." He stumbled through a throng of trees while his one arm scraped around in a bag. "Come in, Midnight Sun, tell Licht I..."

"No need, I'm already here." The voice of Licht echoed out behind the rotund man. "You served your purpose." Golden light blinding the wounded man.

"Wait... Mana Seal... Release." Barnabas glowed briefly with cyan energy.

"Wait... you are..." Licht was taken aback.

"A Saiyan hybrid. Yes, I am one of the Children of the Six." Barnabas smiled.

Chapter 38: It was meant to be a simple few days off

I awoke early the next morning to Puli at my door. "Helen dear, Captain Charlotte wants to speak with you." I quickly got cleaned up and clothed in a sleeveless blue dress and black tights with my robe. I swiftly made my way through headquarters to the captain's office.

I knocked at the door to her office. "Captain. I'm here."

"Enter." I heard from the other side. I opened the door to find Captain Charlotte behind her desk slightly flustered over something. "now you must be wondering what this is about."

"Well... no... not really. Though it has to be important if you called me directly to your office." I said as I stood at attention.

"Well, it has to do with you. Ever since you have joined the magic knights you have been in the middle of several major events, received, healed and recovered from numerous injuries that would be fatal to anyone else and in turn you have discovered some very important things about your past. I fear that all of my start to wear you out too much with all of it happening so quickly, so I have a offer for you, five days off in the resort town of Raquey."

"Five days off? Are you sure Captain, I'm certain I can be of more use here or looking for the terrorists." I said, more then a little surprised.

"Perhaps, but I would rather see that you have the time you need to process everything that has happened to you. I can see the scars on your body." She said as she looked at my arm, a large scar from when I had been transformed in the cave near Nairn. But I knew she spoke of my tail which had been cut off by Yami and my brother.

"If that is what you wish Captain. Is there anyone who is traveling with me?" I asked.

"You will be initially arriving in Raquey with Captain Rill of the Aqua Deer and one of his squad mates. They have a four day vacation after a three day dungeon dive, and you'll be returning with the entirety of the Black Bull's squad. Apparently Yami had the entire team take a week long vacation." Captain Charlotte replied. "Today is their second day. You'll be leaving with Rill and his subordinate tomorrow morning."

I nodded and saluted my captain. "If that is what you think is best Captain. I suppose I should pack my bags."

"Yes." She said.

I turned and left out the door. Sol was out on a mission with Puli and Borja as well as the other's were gone on patrols in the Capital and the surrounding area as Barnabas had escaped captured with other squads. The news of the murder of three magic knights hadn't gone unnoticed by the public.

"Captain Rill... please... it's improper!" I heard a woman down the hall as I was walking to the kitchen to grab some food.

I peeked around the corner and saw three people. The captain of the Aqua Deer with his almost glowing mess of white blue hair, a older man in a butler's suit, a large scar on his forehead, and a woman a little taller then me with long white to blonde spikey hair, she wore leather strapped heals, a pristine white dress tided on her waist with a thing woven gold belt, a Aqua deer robe and her eyes seemed to shift through all the colors of the rainbow. "Come on, it wouldn't hurt to ask her. I mean, she's Asta's sister."

"Indeed, Young master Rill should get to know his good friend's family." The butler agreed with the Captain.

I walked up behind them and cleared my throat. Making Rill and the woman jump. "You're looking for me?" I asked.

"See, I knew she was here." Rill smiled. "Helen, since we are going to be traveling together, I was wondering if you would be alright with posing for a portrait!? We got some really beautiful artifacts from a dungeon and Oh I just can't wait to make a painting with them!"

"I'm really sorry about this, you can say no." The woman said to me, when I looked at her, I could almost she some...

'She knows...' I heard Kamla say in the back of me mind.

'That's impossible.' The rational part of my brain snapped back. "It's no problem. It would be something interesting to do. I sorry but I don't think we've been properly introduced." I said to the three of them.

"Of course! It's nice to meet you. I am Rill Boismortier, Captain of the Aqua Deer. This is my personal assistant and butler Walter." Rill introduced him self and the older man who handed me a tea... from somewhere...

"It's so nice to make you acquaintance Lady Helen. I have heard stories of your exploits and beauty in battle." Walter bowed respectfully.

"I wouldn't use beauty for how I fight... And you are?" I turned to the woman.

"I am Lemos Anima. Senior magic Knight First Class." She said, again I got the feeling she knew something.

"She's my best friend!" Rill exclaimed. "We joined the Magic Knights the same day."

I just nodded. "I was just about to pack my things after I get a few... dozen apples."

"We have to get the silk outfits fitted right away!" Rill grabbed me and Lemos.

"Wait, what?" I asked before I was carried away.

"ABSOLUTLY NOT!" I clutched myself as I stared in horror at the see through pink and gold silk that Lemos wore that barely hid her privates.

We stood in in a high end fashion shop and my face was glowing red as Rill held out a blue and silver outfit to me. "It's for art!" He whined.

"My brother is there! I'm not wearing anything like that with him there! If you want me to do this I am wearing something more modest then that!"

Lemos cleared her throat. "Captain, please. She clearly isn't comfortable with this. May I suggest we change the out fit for the piece that requires the two of us, while the outfit is needed for the piece, that she is allowed a secondary silk layer to keep her modesty on the beach." She looked to the shop keep, "I'm sure that isn't too hard?"

The shop keep shook her head. "No ma'am. I'll have one made before you leave. Fabric Creation Magic: Silk Robe." Her grimoire glowed with a soft pink glow. Before I knew it, a blue-white robe was tied loosely at my waist. She let of a few deep breaths as though that had taken a lot out of her, more then a few beads of sweat rolled down her brow. "I hope that is to your liking."

"It is. I can work with this." I said as I went to my money purse.

"Great! Walter pay her, we have to get everything packed now!" Rill exclaimed excitedly.

"Of course master Rill." Walter said as he handed the woman a bag of coins the size of my head.

I quickly packed away the clothes for the painting in a bag. "If you'll excuse me, I have to go pack my things."

"God speed to you Lady Helen." Walter smiled as Rill talked Lemos' ear off.

In a far away city, made of towering marble buildings, and polished stone paths, six people convened in a temple of red columns, black granite roof. with a golden fresco depicting a man with scarlet hair and tail embracing a woman with golden hair and pointed ears, and positioned beneath them was red haired woman, her ears pointed and tail wrapped around her waist, atop a rocky out cropping. The stars high above glittering in a silent dance.

The six took seats in a circle at the foot of golden stairs to a giant door emblazoned with runes. Directly at the foot of the stairs was a man in a mixture of cloth wrapped around him and bronze armor. "Barnabas has betrayed us." He said flatly, his voice weak as though he hasn't slept for the last few days. His tail rested weakly on his lap. His hair had grayed with age and stress.

A woman to the first man's left, garbed in ceremonial dress and glittering gems sighed. "His greed over took his duty. Commander Aaron, we have to take action soon." Her tail was decorated with rings and gems, her colbalt blue hair swayed in the breeze of the temple.

"Priestess Chaya. With all due respects." A younger looking man spoke up across the circle from her, arms covered in bandages and bare chest adorned with thousands of crossing scars. "What action can we take, until we find him, or the Saiyan Helen takes some drastic action that puts innocents in danger. We can not intervein. And you know I'm the one that want's to be down there the most, to bring them in."

"Champion Pinach. That would be inadvisable." The man that sat next to the younger warrior was adorned in grand robes, his head shaved bald, black bead reaching knees interspersed with grey hairs like rivers of stone in valleys of obsidian. Behind him rested his grimoire, a massive tome twice a tall as most men and nearly as thick as a outstretched arm is long. His massive frame filled his throne rather easily, but he moved with a gentleness. His black tail was tightly wrapped around his waist, and with his bald head, pointed ears could be seen on either side of his head. "This isn't as simple as you make it sounds. She found one of her artifacts, the only way for this Saiyan too have her magic is the Magnum Opus of Elemental Enchantment magic. To create a artificial grimoire to bestow her power on a successor. It's only a matter of time until her Spear is found."

Aaron nodded as he held onto a chain that hung on his neck, on his ring finger, a single dulled golden band seemed to darken further. "Of course Headmaster Abraham. Wise as always."

Directly across from Arron a small woman with light brown hair cleared her throat. "Of course, but there are too many parties at play." She said in almost a whisper, plants springing up around her as she spoke. "We may have to give aid and food to the common people of Clover in the aftermath of the pending battle." Her tail curled in worry.

"Cleric Demeter. Always concerned about the little people." The woman next to her sighed. She was built like a mountain, not an ounce of fat on her body. "I'll speak with the Queen of Heart with Demeter to prepare supplies for clover to be given to the smaller villages." unlike the other's she lacked a tail, her hair the color of desert mountains.

"Thank you Architect Gaia." Demeter smiled, small tears in her eyes.

Aaron sighed and leaned back, "I've sent orders to Luna to rejoin the Black Bulls under the guise of aiding against those that take the names of our fallen cousins. I fear we may need more warriors."

Pinach clenched his fist. "Fana..." His whispered under his breath.

Abraham leaned forward. "Aaron, I know if you could handle this yourself you would have already, but this isn't just a teenager rebelling against our isolation."

They would continue to speak into the night, unbeknownst to them, a set of young naïve eyes and ears listened into the meeting, a girl in purple clothing, leather sandals and and a black tail, her silver eyes glittering in excitement with her ill gotten information. "I can't wait to tell the others about this." She giggled to herself. Silently she vanished into the dark, making her way from the ground level by jumping up the roofs of the houses, her foot steps not making a sound. She ran towards a large walled building, leaping towards a wall, a ward appearing before her. Her grimoire flared to life with white magic, "Multiplication Counter Spell magic: Times Zero." She said as the spell vanished, then reappeared after she crossed into the grounds.

"Well, Arya? What you find out tonight?" A spiky white haired youth asked her, he wore baggy pants and ice white arm and stomach wrappings. a bone white tail wrapped around his waist. His bright blue eyes looked her over, his breath frosted even in the warm weather. Strapped across his chest was his grimoire, the symbol on the front hidden, decorated with symbols of ice.

"Well, Ymir. They discussed the pure Saiyan that is on the surface. But sadly no news of your sister, I mean has your brother not said anything? I mean he is the champion. The boy that laid flat on the ground said, in bronze and leather battle gear. His grimoire in a leather clasp on his belt and a pink tail tip tapped the ground. "Same reason you can't ask your grandpa, the Headmaster. They just won't spill." His pink hair hung in a spiky shaggy mess around his head. "Any opportunity for us to sneak out?" He asked.

"No Thash, but there has to be something coming up soon." Arya said excitedly.

The third person waiting for her wore a dark red dress with a black corset, black leather sandals with brass buckling's. A black witches hat tilted over her face. Orange eyes glowed underneath the garment, black to silver shoulder length hair her tail held by her tail, black that faded to silver as it reached the tip was tucked behind her ears, that weren't as pointed as her comrades. "Did they mention her name? The Saiyan" She asked quietly.

Arya turned to her. "Yes, it's Helen. Why do you ask Zagrya?"

"Helen... what a beautiful name..." Zagyra whispered.

Hey, sorry for the delay on this chapter. Things have been going by quickly for me.
