Jason saw her coming up to his cabin, and slipped his teddy into the covers where Lily was sleeping, she was actually a really sweet kid. Silently, he slipped out the door and went down to the camp, now he had to take care of all the idiots who'd gotten themselves into this mess. First to go would be the one who barged in on the child, she'd be an easy start. He could tell they were all still running around, and laughed at the term that came into his head, "Running around like chickens with their heads cut off indeed." Of course, he'd never realized what it meant until recently, but he figured it described the situation. Throwing a stone at them, he saw it hit the mark, and they froze.
The blonde screamed, and the redhead shouted for them all to run, and they scattered. One of the males rushed to the vehicle only to find it locked, and quickly found himself decapitated, while the other male was quickly skewered on a flaming log. It didn't take him long to find the two females either, they were crying for help, but none was coming. Silently, he showed them the decapitated heads, tossing them toward the woman, leading to a chase. He wasn't going to deny he enjoyed the thrill. Cashing one down, he heard a beartrap snap shut and left to find the other who wasn't as lucky. To his pleasure, it seemed that the local wolves had sensed the blood in the air and had started their own hung, better to leave her to them and take care of the one who scared Lily.
Makayla was in a panic, her arm was broken, and now her foot was stuck in a damn beartrap. Not only that, but she was being chased by the Crystal Lake Killer! She tried to drag herself away, but only found herself facing him, and realized that she likely only had seconds left to live. Getting on her knees, she begged, but they went unheard, the last sound she heard was the crushing of her own skull under his boot.
Jason shook the mashed brains from his boot, it wasn't the first time he'd crushed someone's skull, he'd done it with his bare hands in the past. Quickly throwing the body into the cave of a bear, he left the other two where they were for now, and headed back home. He wasn't surprise to see that Sandie had passed out on one of he chairs near his room. Placing his machete and other weapons on the ground, he picked her up and carried her to his room, then set her down on the bed beside Lily. Careful not to wake her, he pulled the blankets over her, and slipped his bear from Lily's grip and into hers. Old Teddy had helped him through hard times, and he didn't really sleep anymore, so he hoped teddy would help.
"Jason."
He heard his mother's voice in his head, "Yes?"
"Who is there, is that a child?"
"They needed help."
"I understand, but do you understand their needs?"
"I'm trying to."
"That's good, I am truly sorry for how I controlled you my special boy."
"Things happen Mother."
"Yes, but I suggest you go and gather the electric generator you brought to her. I believe the little girl is afraid of the dark. It was sweet of you to share your bear."
"I don't sleep much…"
"No, but go, I believe she is a good girl, Jason."
"Mother."
"I know, I know, if you need help, I will always be here."
He shifted the mask as her presence faded away, he knew that he could depend on his mother for this, he had no idea how to take care of women, or girls at all. Heading back down to the camp, he went to retrieve the generator and clean up the bodies.
Sandra was exhausted the next morning, but relieved to see that Lily was okay, and that Jason hadn't hurt her. The cabin he stayed in was certainly run down, but also hidden. He'd also allowed her to sleep on his bed with Lily, not that there was much more space than that. It appeared he didn't really sleep, or eat for that matter. It also appeared that he'd gathered up the generator during the night, and she wondered if certain people had been disposed of. When she had gotten up, she was surprised to find herself in the bed, and saw that he wasn't there. She was amazed at the view of the camp he had, but it also explained how he knew people were there so quickly, "It's stunning."
Footsteps behind her made her jump, and for the first time, she realized just how tall he was. "Yes, I also use to ensure I know where the trespassers are."
"Does it happen a lot?"
"Depends on the year, sometimes big groups, sometimes little ones.…."
"You killed all of them?"
"Depends on what I see, how long they stay, what they do…."
"Seems like you've developed some kind of conscience."
"Conscience?"
"Yeah, like a little voice of reason in your head?"
"I suppose, my mother had a lot of control until about ten years ago."
"Oh, I remember about Pamela, I'm sorry that happened. Greif can do crazy things."
He flinched, "I won't disagree with you there."
"Do you really have that alter that those kids told everyone about?"
She could tell it was a touchy subject for him, but hoped it would help her understand a bit more, "Yes, I was lucky they didn't destroy it while I was gone."
"How old are you, Jason?"
He shrugged, "I can't be sure, older than you though, I was born in 1946… Never went to school."
