Fredrick was in some kind of a panic, and grabbed the tranquilizer gun, his wife was missing and he wasn't sure where she was. Stepping outside, he heard a scream and headed in that direction. He stopped when he heard Mariyam's pleas for mercy, but could only stare at the scene, the cold feeling of fear seeping into his bones. There was a massive man looming above his wife as a small petite figure seemingly mocked her, dancing and mimicking her voice, something that angered his wife. But this time, he could tell that she was so afraid, Mariyam was unable to become angry. Who would when someone was holding a blood-stained machete over their head? Doing his best o remain quiet, he stepped closer and aimed, managing to hit the man in the neck.
Jason felt the dart, and quickly realized what it was when he removed it from his neck. Unfortunately, he felt the effects setting in. Before he slipped into the dark, he signaled to Sandra, making sure she could get away. Then everything went dark.
He saw the large man drop, but the dancing woman disappeared, "Mariyam!" he rushed over to her, "You're alright."
Her eyes were filled with fear, "We HAVE to get out of here Fredrick! Sandra's gone insane! She's the fox woman!"
"No, you can't be telling the truth."
"Are you certain?" a voice spoke to them, and they looked around, "Oh, no, you can't see me. But you can hear me. You hurt my sweet boy, now I have the responsibility to kill you."
The gun was suddenly torn from his hands, and a branch rose from the ground, swinging toward them, "What is this? Some kind of Trick?!"
The voice let out a dark laugh, "I will kill you for harming my Jason!"
They both ran for their lives, running from the echoing, maniacal laugher.
Sandra was nervous, but saw a dark shadow in the distance, and it was carrying a familiar figure. She was beyond relieved when she saw Jason was alright. Looking at the shadow, neither of them spoke, but she silently thanked the yellow eyes that glowed from within the dark. After setting him on the bed it disappeared, and she sat next to him, while Lily came over. "What happened Sandie?"
"Dad had a tranquilizer gun…."
Lily jumped up on the bed and hugged her sister, then put her teddy next to Jason's hand, "Teddy will make him feel better."
Sandra smiled, "You really are awesome, Lily."
"I know. But what do we do about Mommy and Daddy?"
"I don't know."
Lily looked up at her with her azure eyes, "You're the smartest sister ever Sandie, when Jason wakes up, you two can do it together!"
"Maybe…" She stopped when he began to stir, "Jason!"
He moved slowly, but opened his eyes when she removed the mask. There was a look of surprise on his face when he saw the teddy he was holding onto, but he didn't really move much. "My father shot you with a tranquilizer."
He groggily nodded, "Are… you… okay?" he signed slowly.
"Yes, we're fine. But they won't stop looking."
"Then… we… kill…. them."
"They know who you are, It's not-"
"I have an idea, but you might not like it…." He signed back.
