Her life, hanging in the balance and the Autobots was certain she won't survive. What if the relic she touched made her a Prime unintentionally and became a Cybertronian after Optimus got brutally injured by Megatron's ranks?

Meanwhile, Dreadwing became a guardian to a human ally: Kyrie Welsh (OC) assigned by Optimus. Will he stay loyal to the Autobots or still remain Decepticons or will his bretheren do something else to him? A human can change a Decepticons and remind him he still have a family he never has.

A/N: Hey all, feel free to correct me on any Cybertronian terminology.

I only begun to be familiar and this is going to be my main project. I have not log in for over 9 years and this idea suddenly came out after I watched Transformers Prime series. Thoughts and further ideas are always welcome. It was meant to be a one shot series but I decided to do maybe a mini chapters series. Who knows, could be a book. I haven't decided yet. Let me know what you think with the plot!

Disclaimer: I don't own anything except for my two OCs

Victoria Valorheart and Kyrie Welsh is my OC

Running out of Tomorrow

Chapter One

Agent Victoria Valorheart searched for Optimus Prime. He was no where to be found at the Autobot base. It was time for a serious conversation. Six months later after the incident on the Nemesis warship, the leader had distanced himself from his charge.

Now, she was left to keep a close eye on his second in command: Ironhide, the Weapon Specialist. Victoria always had a shrewd suspicion. She knew Optimus didn't take it well when she was taken by Megatron and always been the first one to be targeted by the Decepticon.

This incident cause a friction between Optimus and Victoria. She hated it. The silence. The distance. She wasn't stupid and she understood why. After all, Megatron wanted Optimus dead and to discover his weakness was a delight to the warlord. Optimus always take on his patrol duty.

A patrol duty to scout on any Decepticon activiy to ensure their base is shielded. Victoria didn't like to be kept in the dark. She felt blind. Even though she was meant to be in recovery she was determined to talk to Optimus. So that week of silence, with zero communication from the leader, Victoria decided to send a radio comm link message to him.

Though the radio comm link to Optimus was like a voicemail. Victoria hold onto the SAT phone. The female agent loved to hide in the Jackhamer airship. It was her favourite hide out that gave her privacy. Wheeljack was out on the mission with Team Prime for an Energon hunt.

"How long do you need to get the message to Optimus?" Wheeljack crouched down to her height and place his own servo on his knee. He wasn't stupid. The Autobot Wrecker caught her a few times hidden inside his Jackhammer airship. He found her a few times recharge with a blanket on her soundlessly on the passenger seat and decided to not to wake her.

"I just want one minute to talk to him." Victoria requested softly.

"How about I give you five minutes? I'll make it more complicated for the humans." Wheeljack offered.

"Thank you, Wheeljack." Victoria smiled at him appreciatively.

"Any time, Vic." Wheeljack got busy with the signal disturbance. "Hey kid, when you're done, come find me. I'd been meaning to talk to you in private this week. You know how the old doc gets." Wheeljack made a shushed sound with a finger on his faceplate.

Victoria grinned at him broadly and gave him a thumbs-up in answer. She knew who he meant, who the doctor in the house was referred to: Ratchet. The green Autobot was grumpy whenever anyone crowded the medbay. She thought she heard a commotion a month ago at the medbay.

She even witnessed Ratchet scolded Optimus. Optimus was about to asked critical questions about human biology medicine aid when he was pushed out of the medbay. He wasn't the only one. Wheeljack was caught and he received a wrench that hit him hard on the helm. He was curious to learn the Autobot newest human ally and even snuck in to pay his respects to her and tried to visit her.

Wheeljack climbed down his Jackhammer airship that made Victoria pondered what he wanted to talk about that sounded rather urgent. Through the window, when it was safe enough to talk to Optimus in private, the female human saw him went to weapon repair duty. After all, Wheeljack wasn't just a samurai soldier. He's the Autobot scientist.

He had guaranteed Victoria five minutes on the line was all she got. She prayed it was enough to get the big boss to listen. The phone line clicked. Victoria spoke and her voice shook slightly and worked up her courage to speak with her guardian. But her voice was still soft like honey.

"Hey Optimus. I know you told me no communications for good reasons. I figured it all out. Besides, this is my call. My decision. I know this call is probably stupid because we're in base. All I asked is for you to listen to me. I also couldn't helped not to worry about you sometimes too. Yeah. We'd been in long distance before. So, listen big boss."

Victoria didn't bother to cover her disappointment in her tone. She smiled sadly about it.

"I know how you're feeling, big guy. I'm not stupid. I feel the same way, you know. I can feel how you feel. I know you felt it was your fault that I got kidnapped by the Decepticons. That you felt completely responsible for the recent event. Let me break it down to you, Optimus: it is not at all your fault or anyone else's fault for that matter.

"Remember what you told me, Optimus? You taught me we can make the best, worst possible choices all together that can lead us to good and bad. That no matter what kind of race we are: we can still make mistakes. You just proved to me that you're human too, buddy. I know you're not. You know what I mean. I know you're from outer space. A Cybertronian. Autobot.

"What do you think being a human means? No one is perfect, Opt even me. We can't always win. Losses we make is what make us a great leader. Our spark you say let's just say us humans call it our hearts. So, don't beat up yourself about it. You are the best leader I had ever seen in history. The best guardian I ever have. Don't you ever forget it. I really mean that.

"Without you, I wouldn't be breathing right now. Without you and your team, I would still be at the Nemesis warship. I call that a small victory. Things happened. We can't always control what we wanted to control. Sometimes fate decide for all of us to say at least.

"If you're wondering about the safety of this call, Optimus, I guarantee you this call is completely secure and very safe. You don't have to answer back." There was a part in Victoria that hoped he does. "Wheeljack only guaranteed me five minutes on the SAT phone and don't asked him not to make me stop all communication. Otherwise, I would beat the slag out of Wheeljack."

She chuckled lightly at her own joke and imagined what the Wrecker would make of that statement.

"Don't blame him either or make me stop me to stop all communication with you for safety reasons. Because, one way or another, Optimus, no matter how much you want to prevent everything, is going to happened. You can't always protect me from everything. There would be a one time to fail, not always win.

"We learned our failures to improved too. Besides, it's just that... I'm so used to talk to you, Optimus. I really missed you close by and I never like the distance between us or enjoy the distance. I didn't call up just to give you a lecture." Victoria chuckled lightly in a teased tone. "I called up because I got a lot on my mind. Something to seriously discussed.

"I called up because I really needed to talk to you in private, face to face. I understand why you did it too. We definitely got a lot to talk about. Don't be too hard on yourself, Optimus. Hey, don't rushed. I'll give you time to think it through. You know what I'm like. I hope the hunt goes well for you tonight, big guy. I really missed you."

Victoria paused. She looked thoughtfully what she was about to say next. She wiped a flooded tears with the back of her hand, swiped her face with her hand, then pinched her eyes with her fingers. She felt her throat clogged up completely. She hesitated to deploy the last three words that she was dying to explode to him for a very long time. There was a good reason why she hesitated too. "I love you, Optimus."

Her last three words broke her. Her eyes suddenly welled with tears that poured down like a rain storm on her face. She didn't know why. Frustrated at her sudden emotions that gotten the best of her, Victoria ended the SAT call as she threw the phone aside harder than she meant to and she certainly had mixed emotions about the call.

She was fairly certain that it wasn't just Wheeljack who'd witnessed the entire conversation even though he had given her privacy. For some reason, she didn't mind the Autobot soldier to listened into the conversation. After all, Wheeljack was the one who handled the SAT communication frequency. Victoria had a fair guessed who else ride with Optimus and hoped that Cade Yeager can persuade him on her behalf.

Victoria didn't immediately find Wheeljack. She stayed at the Jackhammer airship passenger for awhile. The female former agent waited for her emotions to passed by and she never felt this way for a very long time. Why was she so emotional? Today, she was reminded of somebody's anniversary.

At this thought, she got up and leave the Jackhammer. She made her way to meet Wheeljack. The woman wondered if he can give her a lift to pay a visit while she wait for Optimus to see her in person to chat. She hoped one of the Autobots will tell her when Prime will be ready or if he was still going to keep in silence, his distance to protect her from Megatron.

Why did she said the three words to him? Victoria realised that life is so short. She lost a lot of people that are very important to her. The long time to see Optimus could be never just like the people she never see again. It was better to be early than to always be late and a situation that can be prevented not to become a permanent situation that she doesn't want to find herself in.

Optimus Prime wasn't ready to talked to her yet. He was grateful he had company on his regular night patrol. Certainly, did not mind the message he had received from her through the comm link tonight. Her voice to him was a source of comfort. One that he would listen with an open mind and with strong reasons.

He wanted very much to reached out to her, to talk with her. But, he'd hesitated in fear to opened a confession he never wished to make to her. He wanted to reply back, to even see her in person, to see she was okay. But, because of the recent incident made him put the long distance between them. The hesitation was very strong and for very good reason.

Oh, he understood exactly how she was feeling because he felt the same way for a very long time. Since the day she left NEST and the day she left the agency, Optimus was furious that her own kind even hunted her around the world for a mission she didn't want to be a part on: a mission to eliminate the Autobots. His team. His own family. His own kind.

Instead, Victoria decided to betray NEST and the CIA agency, to steal classified information in order to saved the Autobots. The first person Victoria warned about Team Prime about her mission and expressed she'd highly disapproved.

The first person she warned about was Ratchet. They were able to deliver their warnings to the whole team. That was how the warnings was spread. She had a very deep connection and a strong history with the Autobot alliance.

Her voice certainly carried out into the open road that night and was heard by his other human ally he considered a brother. Tonight was different and was in company with Cade Yeager, an inventor engineer that was considered as a second medic to the Autobots team right after Ratchet. It wasn't a regular Energon hunt. It was a routine upgrade maintenance to defend the new Autobot base.

They were at the last mark of the shield beacon for the Autobot base. Cade stood frozen on the spot when he heard an unfamiliar female stranger spoke to his best friend. Optimus stood very still when she spoke. He knew what Victoria meant very well when she said: "something serious" and "something to discussed."

His spark felt very heavy, twisted into several knots, like a string of ropes that happened to tangled themselves together. His spark felt as if it was lit on fire and there was a sudden pain that flared up. A pain that didn't belong to him. Somewhere far from a distance, Optimus knew that pain belonged to Victoria, not him.

Her pain was enough for him to reach out to her. He knelt down with one knee and placed a servo on his chassis. The pain in his spark had been on and off for a very long time. Optimus knew the pain and sadness belonged to Victoria. He knew for awhile but chose to remain silent to spare her what he knew.

"Optimus, are you okay?" Cade asked worriedly. "Do you need me to run diagnosis to make sure I didn't missed any injuries? I can call Ratchet if you like." He offered generously.

"I am very fine, Cade." Optimus assured him calmly. "There is no need to call Ratchet. I feel I owe you an explanation and I feel I made a poor choice against my better judgement."

"You?" Cade said in disbelief. He raised his eyebrows with a disagreement look. "Yeah right, Optimus. I know you, bro. You are the last person to make a poor choice against your better judgement. I hate to state the obvious. But, someone got to say it. I know is not my business. Someone gotta asked: who is she?"

"You heard her message?" Optimus answered gently with his low deep voice that rumbled. He leaned towards to his height and go as low as possible. Cade looked alarmed.

"It's hard not to," Cade looked apologetically and guilty. "Sorry. I didn't mean to pry —"

"Cade." Optimus stopped him sternly. "Please do not misunderstand me. Your alliance, friendship greatly honour us very much. I trust you with my life and so does the rest of the team. I have my own reasons to keep Agent Victoria Valorheart a secret."

Cade looked up at him. He rubbed the back of his head with his hand. "Agent?" He looked warily and furrowed a frowned at him. Cade looked confused. Then raised a hand at him. "Hold on a minute, Optimus. I'm on the same boat here. All for one. One for all. You know the meaning of trust, right? Trust means: there is absolutely no secrets to tell, buddy.

"Absolutely zero secrets. No one likes to be kept in the dark. I thought you ended the alliance with the government? You know how I feel about the government too. This would be a really good time to belt it all out. You got one shit right, Optimus. Three years later, after out of space and you showed up in my backyard, AGAIN, with no explanation!

"One day, Bumblebee shows up out of nowhere to tell me I'm in danger and blew up my new second house without my permission because there was a Decepticon who'd tried to eat me!

"All he said was: is sensitive classified that we're being monitored. Then, I come to this new base in Jasper Nevada, to find an unconscious woman at the medical bay with absolutely no answers!" He finished fumingly.

"I am sorry, Cade. If you would allow me to explain, you will certainly have all the answers tonight. From now on, you will be let in on everything. What happened to Victoria recently was exactly why I did not want to confide to any humans. I had not confide my reasons to her just as I confide to you, tonight.

"All I asked, Cade, is for you to listen to me. I did not want to confide because I believed all of you would be protected. However, I realised this is a mistake because as you rightly said trust comes with absolutely no secrets. I apologised to keep you in the dark. I felt after what happened with Victoria when Megatron took her are chances that you won't be.

"But, you made a very fair point that brought my attention with much to consider and thus would be taken into account, my friend. There is also another reason I returned to Earth. That is because the relics of the lost Iacons fell to Earth and was scattered across various countries.

"I did not want the same thing to happened to you that happened to Victoria. Though, I do have a favour to asked of you for assistant. Believe me, Cade. I understand how you are feeling. The reason why I did not tell you about her because of my protection to her. She is my charge and my most guarded secret."

Cade noted his voice. Now, he felt very bad and guilty of his own outburst at his best friend. "Sorry, Optimus. I didn't mean to lashed out. It's just been a very long tiring week. I was trying to figure out everything else with zero answers. I had a lot on my mind too. Okay, I'm listening. I'm cool. Sorry, continue."

Optimus smiled at him knowingly. "It is a lot to take in. I understand. I feel there is another explanation you'd deserved to know." Optimus said in a calm patient tone. Cade looked up at him warily. "If this would helped your trust with Victoria Valorheart, she was the one who'd told Bumblebee to extract you from the second home and to the rest of the team at a great risk. Now, she is mark as a traitor of her own kind."

Cade looked up in shocked. His eyes widened in surprised. "What? Say that again with a straight face." He was surprised at this new found piece of information.

"Victoria was the one who'd send for Bumblebee to you and extract you from the farm house after she learned you had a bounty on your head. She didn't see you in person because she was on her way to warned Ratchet and the rest of the team. Her team see it as a betrayal when she left them. She left the moment she'd discovered the operation target myself and my team." Optimus repeated in the same patient tone.

"Well, that explained what Bee meant on sensitive classified information." Cade appreciated that. "He could have told me all of this of what you told me tonight." He pointed out.

"I told Bumblebee that I would very much tell you in person and you rather hear from me." Optimus agreed very calmly.

"Fair enough. Thanks. But, I honestly don't mind Bumblebee to tell me either or else from all of you at least. Before you tell me what kind of favour you need, Optimus, I want you to swear to me, to promised me, that you won't ever keep me in the dark ever again." Cade requested seriously about it.

"You have my word, Cade." Optimus agreed firmly. He looked thoughtful. "Would you be able to talk with Victoria for me? I would like you to speak to her about her own captivity. Find out, if she'd experienced any nightmares and I believed she had of recently. I do not want her to feel alone nor to feel close off."

Cade looked taken aback. He made a split decision on the spot and definitely going to advised against this. "Optimus...with all due respect, brother. I wouldn't do that at all. Remember what I talked about trust issues? You and her sounded pretty damn tight together. I totally respect your privacy. But, as a best friend, because I care about you, I really advised against this.

"I hate to break it to you, big guy. In honesty: anyone would be totally closed off in that situation. Besides, why would she want to talk to me? I'm a stranger to her. She trust you the most. Or, I take it she personally have trust issues?" He pointed out reasonably. "I would do it for you. Sure. But, I don't know how much I would be a helped to her.

"If I were you, I wouldn't keep her in the dark. From what I understand, Optimus, don't push her away. Don't stay silent. Pushing her away will only succeed in closing off from everyone. Women have their own way to expressed themselves and by the sound of it all, that shit is seriously deep. Don't blow it, Optimus. I mean it.

"The more you pushed her away, she might never speak to you ever again. Truth to be told, Optimus, I feel she needs you more than a human person to talk to," Cade looked serious about it. "I take it you have your own reasons why you don't want to speak to her or is it because you're afraid to hurt her feelings or there is something you're afraid to open up? What's going on, Optimus? Something else I should know about? It's clear to me that you do loved her." Cade finished understandably.

"Yes. There is a reason why I am not speaking with her. I have not confide the reasons what I am about to share with you today what I am about to tell you. It is not my pain I felt today. But, hers alone. I will not deny I am worried for her nor will I deny that I am very much concerned for her well being. Yes, I do love her very much. A great deal. I believed by distancing myself from her will be better protected far from Megatron's reach."

There was a long paused.

"I think you're wrong on that, Optimus." Cade argued reasonably, in a quiet tone. "Don't you think she's a lot safer with you and with the rest of Team Prime? It's better she's with you rather than being in a distance?" Cade asked rhetorically to the big guy. "Plus, you two wouldn't be hurt either. Hang on a second, you mentioned that is not your pain. But hers. How come you can feel her pain or she can too?"

"Yes. She can feel my spark and so can I in return. The spark is the lifeform and our memories." Optimus looked thoughtful on his own elaboration answer to his human ally.

They should have a dictionary between human language and Cybertronian language indeed.

"Yeah? We call it a soul." Cade had a fair few guesses of their Cybertronian languages from time to time.

"I believed since the fall of the Iacon relics: it is my understanding now we are able to see each others memories, memories that falls through vivid dreams and our thoughts connected very unwillingly. When Cybertron fell dark, my mentor, Alpha Trion, sent the Iacon relics to Earth.

"These relics are not meant to be encountered with any humans nor it is recommended under advicement. All humans will do well to remember so. However, Victoria was wound up in the artefacts chase. She accidentally touched a Prime relic upon discovery in Egypt. Thus, why we can feel each other from a long distance.

"I do not want to make her home life uncomfortable. Like you, I respected her privacy and by doing so, I was at a distance and believed her to be protected. I was wrong. I put her in danger. Her recent events came to my fullest attention and one I cannot ignore no longer. I believed you would not be a stranger to her at all, Cade Yeager. Personally, I feel very strongly the two of you are more alike than you'd realised." Optimus informed him in a short manner.

Cade pinched the bridge of his nose with his fingers and shut his eyes briefly. He let out a low sighed. Once more, he put his hands on his hips and stared at the ground.

"I don't need a lecture, Prime. This should be good." Cade blow out another sighed. "And for the record, I really hoped you're not trying to make match me with Victoria. Because, you suck at it with match making skills and doing a terrible job. You do a great job as a leader, not a match maker! That would be totally weird." Cade waved his arms around widely. "Besides, she's your girl." He argued reasonably.

Optimus smiled knowingly at his light joke. He heard that one before and met his only daughter, Tessa Yeager, complained that her father should settle down with a girlfriend. Tessa didn't like the idea of her father to be alone at all and rather that somebody trust worthy with him in his life.

One of these days, Cade felt very strongly he is going to get a heart attack for hanging around with the Autobots for too long add in with high blood pressure risen up. He opened his mouth once. But, no words came out. Then, closed it again. Then looked back right into Optimus's blue optics.

To Cade's surprised, Optimus laughed and looked highly amused. He filed away at the idea of ever being a match maker for the humans or for the Autobots once the war is over. Cade made a face at him.

"My dear Cade. Victoria is a married woman. She is married to a man named: Colonel Leland Bishop otherwise known to us as Silas." Optimus said in a maddening patient tone in a calm gentle voice.

"Yeah, I heard about him, all right." Cade agreed darkly about Silas. His face changed completely. "He runs a team called MECH. Silas is totally obsessed with your kind as far as I know. He takes any Cybertronian in for his own sick and twisted experiment, even the Decepticons.

"He wanted to experiment on humans and Titans together as far as I'm concerned. We had a few encounters with MECH. Bumblebee and I were led by a false Energon trail. It wasn't just Bee they were interested in. But, they took in a Decepticon too. They took a Decepticon named: Dreadwing.

"Apparently, he's the second in command for the Decepticons. I wasn't the only human at MECH's base. I hate to interrupt. But, do you know a woman name Kyrie? She said she knows a Victoria. I told her I would talk to Optimus about all that happened when I get the chance to." Cade promised seriously.

"I didn't know what to tell her and didn't know who to trust after what happened three years ago. I'm sorry." He meant it.

"No, Cade." Optimus placed his servos gently on his shoulders. "I am sorry you were indeed kept in the dark. I should have known better. None of this should have happened to you. I was not made aware of the incident until now."

Cade waved his apology aside. There was enough guilt going around.

"I'm okay, Optimus. You don't have to worry about me. I'm more worried about you. Besides, I wasn't alone. I was with Bee. You couldn't have known and he didn't want you to worry. Don't blame him, Optimus. He was worried about you just as I was, and, we both decided not to say a single word about it unless you'd asked about it. We didn't think it was necessary to mentioned." Cade shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly about it.

"It most certainly is necessary to tell me, Cade. That was neither you or Bumblebee's decision to make. A decision not to make so lightly!" Optimus looked very alarmed. He looked pissed off at this important piece of information. "Why was I not informed immediately so I am able to tighten necessary security?" He demanded in a fierce protective tone.

"Calm down, Optimus!" Cade looked warily at his sudden temper that flared up at him like a canon ball rather unexpectedly. He also didn't mean to rub it in to gloat at the leader about being kept in the dark with all secrecy. "It's not as if we didn't want to tell you on purpose just like you kept me in the dark. We were just waiting for the right time to be able to tell you. That's all."

Optimus sighed. He gazed to the ground. "Forgive me, Cade." He looked away. His optics filled with sadness. "Yes. I do know a woman named Kyrie. A very close friend and a very dear ally, like you. Her childhood friend. There is something else you must know and I hold by my words, Cade, that you will not be kept in the dark no longer.

"MECH had gone beyond lengths than I'd ever imagined. They will pay for their crimes they'd committed. Ever since Victoria left NEST military agency and the CIA, there had been a number of incidents. People on her team that did not agreed to participate in a mission which involved to capture the Autobots gone missing.

"My suspicion was her team could have been steered off by MECH military science experiment. Kyrie was the first person who'd gone missing. There after a soldier named Robert Epps and Victoria's closest family she ever knew and her mentor was Major William Lennox. We set out for a search party. A hunt for her missing team members."

Optimus took his servos off Cade's shoulders.

"One month prior to Victoria's kidnapping incident and we have absolutely no leads on her missing team members. Her marriage fell apart once she'd discovered her husband, Silas, gone too far in his experiment on her childhood friend, Kyrie and had dabbled once again into Cybertronian biology experiment.

"Victoria was about to be a parent. A great mother she would have been too." Optimus looked proud as he said it. "She contacted me on a secure SAT phone if anything happened to her, she relinquished my guardianship to her children instead. She'd personally asked me to be a guardian to her unborn children. Unfortunately at that time she had a miscarriage.

"From time to time, since then, I had been able to feel her emotions on and off. I felt, out of everyone, you were the best choice in this case because you are a father to your only daughter, Tessa...and a once married man. I swore I would never harm a human. That day on the Nemesis warship, Silas had a gun to Victoria's head, threatened not just her life, but threatened her to his twisted Cybertronian experiments...and I killed him with my bullet."

Optimus confessed to Cade. His voice was trembled, strained. Cade did not missed his guilt that shook his voice. He sounded very guilty about a crime he did not intend at all. He sat down on the ground. His gazed ahead of him. Cade approached him. Then place his own human hands on the side of Optimus's face. The male human leaned with his forehead pressed to his. This time it was his turn to be nose to nose with the Autobot leader.

"Optimus. Listen to me. You — did — your — fuckingjob as a guardian. You did your bloody job, Optimus!" Cade stepped back from the leader. He made wild hand gestures at him.

Then raised his voice angrily at the Prime without meaning to. Somehow, he was frustrated with him. He hated to see Optimus belittle himself and realised how right Victoria was when he heard her message to him.

"More importantly, you'd saved her life! Clearly Silas made a choice that made you choose either her or him to spare in a standoff scenario. What did you expect? Colours and rainbows? You can't always saved everybody! Three years ago, you saved my life from the Cemetey Wind. You even shot Harold Attinger to prevent him from turning me into puzzle pieces! So tell me, Prime. How is this, any different that made you distant yourself from her?

"That shouldn't be an excuse, mate — to distant with her! And take my God damn advice: don't push her away, Optimus! She had the right to know everything after everything she went through! She got one shit right too! Don't you dare feel guilty, Optimus! Don't you dare! Because you are a capable leader and you know it! Who else can do a better job to be a Prime?

"So what if Silas is her husband? Big deal! I don't think she loved him after she found out the truth! Hell, I don't understand how she'd managed to end up with the worst possible man in history for that matter! You need to talk to her, Optimus, not me! Get a grip of yourself, Optimus! You — need — to —talk — to —her, big time and certainly not me! I have my own reasons too.

"It's not that I don't want to help you, Optimus. I do want to helped you and I will helped you in any way that I can. Like I told you earlier, I don't know how much I can be a helped to her. Keep in mind, I'm a total stranger to her because she doesn't know me. You could have spoken with Major William Lennox. You said he's the closest family she have or you could have spoken to her team members. Plus, he does know her not like I do." Cade suggested in conclusion.

Cade turned away from Optimus. Then took a deep breathe to calm down. He let out a low sighed. The man scratched the back of his head and settled his hands on his own hips. Optimus was deep in thought. The Autobot Prime looked thoughtfully at Cade and appreciated his scold towards him. The human glanced back at him.

Optimus smiled at him. "Yes, Cade. I could have spoken with Major William Lennox. Yes. He is a very close family to Victoria Valorheart and the one who'd trained her. It is not a matter of trust, Cade. It is a matter of respect. I would have indeed given this task to Will.

"However, given the current circumstances, it is more than complicated between them not to mentioned the fact she is regarded a traitor in the ranks. I do not believe for one she is because of the countless risks she made for Team Prime. Furthermore, Cade Yeager, I trust you the most and I was warned not to trust anyone else in the NEST military team for our classified information can fall into the wrong hands.

"Her mentor, Major Lennox, advised me so under the circumstances before we part our ways and asked me to watched over her during his absence. He also asked me to keep her company to ensure she doesn't do anything stupid. His words, not mine. I entrusted this task to you because I trust you more than the NEST military team other than Victoria Valorheart." Optimus told him fairly in his baritone tone.

"Why didn't he stay?" Cade looked perplexed. "He sounds like he's going to do something stupid. I'm guessing that whoever helped your team is marked as a traitor just like Victoria and be a primary fugitive or something else that was based on complicated matter?"

Optimus withdrew from Cade and stood up. He glanced once at the stars. Then looked deeply in thought at his debriefing. "That, Cade, would be her business to tell, not mine. For I swore secrecy and trusts to Victoria, and, more importantly, it is up to her to decide to tell her own personal life to you. I trust you with my life, Cade Yeager. Unfortunately, I am bound to her secrecy that I will not break. Give time to her and she may opened up to you."

Cade nodded in agreement. "So, Optimus. What do you want me to tell Kyrie? I mean she and Dreadwing will also expect you to debrief them other than meeting with a bunch of people." He pointed out fairly.

Optimus glanced at Cade thoughtfully. "Tell her nothing, Cade." Optimus said firmly in a flat tone. "I will personally attend to Kyrie and Dreadwing myself. There are still answers I seek to ensure the incident will never occur again to Victoria. Let us return to base for our duty tonight is completed." He transformed to the red and blue truck. The leader swung a door opened for him. Cade accepted his invitation and gratefully climbed in.

"Yeah. Let's go home, Optimus. It's been a hell of a day." Cade agreed gratefully.

"You can recharge on the way back. I will wake you up when we reached there." Optimus offered. "No, allow me to do the driving." He sounded alarmed when Cade placed his hands on the steering wheel.

"Sorry, bad habit." Cade rubbed his eyes and yawned hugely. "I'm just used to driving." Cade inclined the chair backwards and closed his eyes. "Thanks for the lift back home, Optimus. I didn't know you're such a softie for a big guy." He teased, turned to the left side and felt his seat belt hugged him slightly.

"You are most welcome, Cade Yeager." Optimus chuckled in responsed.

On the way back to the new Autobot base settled in Jasper Nevada, Optimus realised how much alike he is with his human charge, Victoria. Particularly his own conjunx endura relationship with Elita one he once had back in Cybertron. He realised Major William Lennox and Victoria were meant to be with each other rather than be apart.

Optimus was very certain his own human charge could see into his own mind. He cursed silently at the Cybertronian relics Victoria touched. That night, when he glanced at the sky, he saw his own conjunx endura at a party event, smiling at him in celebration from a distant and a dance with him. He was very certain, far from him, that Victoria now stood frozen at the Jackhammer airship, to see clearly of his own memories.

He certainly own more than an explanation to her once he reached home. Optimus and Victoria is very close with one another. She can understand her guardian more ways than the Autobot team.

There are little facts even he does not share with Team Prime. Of course, the Prime knew what was going on with Victoria tonight and had been worried for her own well being. There was only one way to find out: to speak with her what they'd both knew.
