"So, mind explaining to me how Demoman got this... Army?" Spy asked, as he and Medic had a walk on the deck of "Dustbowl 1", being busy with defending Geonosis in case of next Republican invasion that could arrived after the last one failed so spectacularly.
"My professional opinion?" Medic asked in response, earning annoyed face and a nod in response. "He just made the zombies, including their Queen, drunk!" He exclaimed happly, making Spy's face crunch sideways.
"I knew that his blood could give alcohol poisoning to robots, but seriously? He became a new King of Geonosis by just walking into the wrong place and letting some undead locals bite him?" Spy asked, finally doubting his own sanity from working with his team.
"More or less... Yes." Medic calmly responded, making him roll his eyes away. "But now he will have to stay on Geonosis to fulfill his monarchic duties with Poggle the Lesser as his second in-command." He added, pointing throu the open window back at the hangar bay, from which a spacious view of the Geonosis was placed.
"I do wonder why Geonosian Queen decided to give the ruler authority to him." Spy added, looking blandly at the planet. "I mean, I'm not a biologist but Geonosians are a hire-mind lead exclusively by Queens. Such change couldn't just happen."
"Oh! It's just that alcohols like scrumpy have a bit... Inconventional effect on Geonosians as a species." Medic smiled maliciously, aggresively flicking his fingers. "In their case it caused Geonosian hive-mind to acclaim him as some sort of messiah for introducing the alcohol to them."
"You know this doesn't make any sense?" Spy asked, liting up his cigarette.
"Not making sense is an integral feature for all of us in this team." German self-proclaimed Man(n) of Medicine responded, throwing the Ubersaw behind his shoulder and nailing a random B2 battle droid. "Now, however... Let's go visit Demo's replacement."
"W-where am I?" Barriss asked, blinking her eyes as some skinny boy turned off the aggresively bright lamp above her head.
"Holy shit! She lives!" Skinny boy who turned out to be Scout exclaimed, quickly grabbing the stationary large medigun from her chest and throwing it sideways into off-screen.
"You could at least not wreck others stuff when being happy." Ivan sighed, catching the medigun and placing it back on it's desired place in the back of the room.
"Wait... You were the one to caught me?" Barriss asked, realising who was closesy to her in the room.
"The one and only!" Bostonian boy laughed, spinning his bat between the hands.
"You were quite lucky we were here instead of... Others." Engineer chuckled with depressing tone. "I mean, your so called master doesn't show too much initiative in unexpected situations when they happen before her eyes." He added, looking at his Construction PDA where a confirmation of collected camera footage and conversation recordings being downloaded into her memory was showed as successful, as it usually happened when he and Medic combined their efforts to do virtually anything thanks to Separatist technology, techincal culture and positive results of their team's earlier operations which granted at least some privileges and extra funds.
"..." Barriss responded with silence, lying on the medical bed with no will or effort made to get up.
"I mean, it's not like we will held you prisoner." Engie added softly, looking at the Scout who returned the communicative face. "Last time you came here, we let ya' two go. So if you think you want to return to her all the way back we allow such a thing-." He added, but was interrupted from continuation by Heavy storming into the room, plunging Scout into the floor in the process.
"Engineer! Look." Heavy said, switching his tone as he showed him the news bulletin from Republican goverment, which stated the change in a way Republic fleet treated neutral and civilian ships in the frontline sectors.
"Oh, shucks." Engineer sighed, while Scout patched himself up thanks to stationary Medigun and joined the two in the lecture.
"... Three sectors deep of space blocade, shoot on sight with no need of authorisation?" Engineer asked, sweating a lot due to sudden change of situation. "Who in the Sam Hill would make such a laws!?" He asked loudly.
"Chancellor Sidious!" Heavy exclaimed, sweating just as heavly as him while Scout showed moderate understanding what was going on.
"Wait, wait, wait. So Republican space fleet now acts as a form of badlands?" Scout asked, but before anyone could respond he was caught from behind by Soldier and slammed into the ground again.
"AAAAAGGRH! We, cannot, smuggle, POW's, anynore!" Soldier shouted with grief, earning confused faced from the others in the room.
"... Damn, you're right." Ivan responded, scratching his head in a sign of being troubled. "Well, miss Barriss. I'm afraid you're staying here with us. We will let you go freely if you still want, but we won't be protecting you during the voyage." He said to the patient, implying the situation at hand.
"It's fine, really." Barriss responded, moving her torso up and taking a sitting position. "I wouldn't be able to fly alone anyway given that I just woke up from a faint."
"In that case feel free to stay with us. As long as you follow the rules and don't do any of this sabotage stuff you're equal to everyone on board." Engineer smiled, grabbing the Scout from the ground and stuffing his head inside the Medigun's ending. "Now, wanna see how extensive exposure to healing devices looks like?"
"Yup, Palpatine is stupid." Sniper laughed, reading the news about Republic declaring it's removal of safety guarantees for neutral and civilian ships within combat zones, frontline system and other spheres of space within two planetary systems from the frontline planets.
"Mhmmmmmph." Pyro muffled, looking at his own communicator, also busy with checking what was happening around the galaxy.
"Yeah, what a bunch of wankers." Newzealander chuckled before grabbing a chunk of garlic bread from his backpack and eating it whole in one take. "Now that I think about it, let's go to the bridge and check if Dooku has something in store for us today."
"Mind asking Count Dooku and General Grievous to grant me a little chance of side-changing soon? I'm sensing eyes of the council watching me closely" Eeth Koth said, enjoying The Force equivalent of a phone call as he and Pyro engaged in another moment of telepathic conversation.
"Mhmph." Pyro responded, slightly shaping his gas mask into a smile as he and Sniper came to the ship's bridge and set up the call to Count Dooku.
"I do hope that your sudden... Meeting request is happening for a reason better than your boredom." Dooku siad with his signature look of superiority making Sniper wince.
"Mmph hmmph hymma hmph hmm ha." Pyro said with straight face and pacing of machine gun, putting both listeners into deep impression.
"He does?" Dooku asked while Sniper walked away and began drinking his coffee.
"Mhmph. Hudda hudddaahhh jmmbha." Pyro confirmed his statement, poking his head twice with a Back Scratcher.
"Hmm... An intresting proposal, but if it's a cheap trick then I'm afraid you won't be treated lightly." Dooku verdicted, taking as sturdy body language as he could. "Now, BLU Team, I need you to join General Grievous and Master Koth above Saleucami. Then, you will together decide what to do next." He added before ending the call and leaving the listeners to fulfill his orders.
"Bloody hell. How does he understood his muffled... Speech?" Sniper asked himself over and over while Pyro began to take control over the situation, giving away new orders and destination for the closest crew he had right now. Their next big move was about to happen...
