Yo! It's cold as tits over here, but hey, I'm back and the Royal Rumble's coming up, and I'm trying to get hyped. Sorry about the wait for this, and thank you to all readers so far!
Seventh year Ravenclaw, Cho Chang, was walking through one of Hogwarts' many corridors, a frown on her face. She wasn't quite sure why, but she felt like she was being watched. It was an unnerving feeling that she didn't like in the slightest. Wanting to get back to her dorm as quickly as possible, she turned a corner, only to stop abruptly. "Oh! Harry!"
Harry Potter stood before her, looking as surprised as her, neither of them obviously having expected to nearly bump into one another here so suddenly.
Harry blinked, then smiled somewhat awkwardly. "Oh, Cho, er-hey."
Yep, Cho thought, this was Harry alright. Awkward and tactless. It made her wonder how in the world he had managed to get himself such an attractive and intelligent and charming boyfriend. "How are you?" she asked casually.
Harry shrugged. "Alright. It's been a strange few months."
Cho nodded in agreement. "It has, hasn't it? All those horrible things with your relatives, and You-Know-Who, and the strange things Professor Dumbledore's been accused of..." She shook her head. "I don't understand half of it. And then there was that article in the paper saying you and You-Know-Who are writing to each other! That's absurd! It's not true, is it, Harry? That letter was a fake, wasn't it? You-Know-Who killed Cedric! And you saw it happen! There's no way you would be communicating with him!"
"It's-"
"I don't understand it!" Cho cried, suddenly sounding surprisingly hysterical. "You're supposed to be trying to kill the man who murdered my Cedric, and instead you're chatting with him about clowns, and toys, and paper bags with faces on them, and-and-it's such a waste of time!" She stepped closer, into his personal space, wand at his throat, the expression on her face a twisted mix of fury and anguish.
"Whoa, hey, just-" Harry tried to step back and raise his hands in surrender, but Cho didn't let him.
"He's turning you against us! He wants you to join him! But if you do, no one's going to be able to avenge Cedric!" She pressed her want in harder, her eyes wide and filled with a strange sort of panic. "I thought you'd be locked up in Azkaban by now, but you're still here! Since it's clear no one's going to do anything about you, I'll take care of it myself!" she declared, her voice rising in pitch. "I'll kill you, and then go after him! Then Cedric won't have to worry anymore at all. Then we can be-" Cho's wand flew out of her hand.
"It's about time," said Harry, sounding annoyed.
Cho whipped around. Leo Bright was standing behind her, holding her wand. "You're-"
Pushing Cho out of the way, Harry approached Leo and shoved him. "You sure took your damn time showing up. What part of 'A crazy bitch not named Bellatrix has a wand to my throat' did you not understand?"
"I wished to finish my treacle tart before arriving," said Leo with a casual shrug of his shoulders.
"I instantly forgive you...is what I would say if I were Ron." Harry paused, cocked his head, then said, "Actually, he'd probably just ask if there was any of the tart left, but you know what I mean."
"Fine, fine," said Leo with a shrug. "You may punish me later. Shall we deal with this...girl now? She's rather-"
"You don't have to be polite," Harry pointed out. "Just come out and say it. We're all thinking it. Bitch be cray."
Leo sighed and shook his head. "We'll take her for questioning in the same place we did Weasley."
Harry nodded. "Sure, but you know that's Trevor's territory. I'm seriously not going in there until you can confirm he isn't in there." He shuddered, already feeling goosebumps on his arms.
Upon hearing where she was about to be taken, Cho promptly fainted.
I've already started on the next chapter, so hopefully it'll be done soon. Looking forward to reviews! Laterz!
