Hey guys! Welcome to the second installment of my 'Under the Mistletoe Series Part Two'

What is this series? Well, around this time six years I got the song 'Holly Jolly Christmas' stuck in my head and wrote eleven drabbles based on kissing underneath mistletoe, and each one was for a different ship. This year I decided to do a Part Two and really challenge myself by writing something for each day from 1st-25th December. So twenty five ships, all kissing under mistletoe, like my own personal advent calendar as it were. Each one can be read alone. I know that not everyone is going to want to read every fic in the series, but I hope that you find them all enjoyable regardless, I know I certainly had fun writing them.

This is actually the first fic I wrote for this series, and it's only the second time I've written for this ship. I hope you like it!

Enjoy, much love xox

It was Christmas night and the Wilson family had thrown a neighbourhood Christmas party. Sam and Sarah had been cooking since lunch time while Bucky entertained the kids; playing their new games with them and taking them out to ride their bikes.

They put on a huge spread, plus the neighbours brought platters too; there would be enough food for the next week. The kids had helped decorate inside and outside, and even though it was pretty chilly outside, they lit bon fires to keep it warm. The cheery multi-coloured lights flashed and danced in the darkness surrounding the house and trees that they were strung up in.

It had been a fun day, one that Sam had missed in the past few years that he hadn't been home for Christmas. It was nice to be home with his family, and to have Bucky here with him too.

The party began to wind down and people said their goodbyes before they headed home. Sam was chatting to one of the last people left when he caught Bucky's figure walking out towards the dock, the flashing lights reflected off of his metal arm.

Sam bid the grandmother goodnight and excused himself before he followed after Bucky, just to make sure everything was alright with him. He found Bucky on the Wilson family boat, leaning on the rail, beer in hand just staring into the distance.

"Hey Buck, you alright man?" Sam inquired as he joined the other man leaning against the rail.

"Yeah, sorry, just reflecting. This is the first real Christmas I've had since the war. I thought it would feel strange, like I would be intruding on your family holiday, but your family and friends are so accepting of me," Bucky admitted, his voice held notes of astonishment. He chanced a look at Sam, "I feel like part of your family, something I never thought I'd have again."

"You are part of our family Buck. This is your home now…you know, if you want it to be," Sam offered, "I've grown to not hate having you around," he then teased.

Bucky genuinely smiled, "You're not as annoying as you used to be either."

Sam gave him a friendly shove, and Bucky shoved him back, maybe a little too hard as Sam stumbled back into the doorway of the captain's cabin.

Bucky's eyes went a little wide and he was about to apologise when Sam started laughing, "Too many beers?"

Bucky laughed too, until he noticed the little plant hanging above Sam's head. It was deliberately strung there; must have been the kids decorating, he wondered if they knew it's meaning. His features sobered a little as he closed the distance between himself and Sam.

Bucky put his beer down on a crate and Sam tilted his head curiously, "Buck?"

"Is it still custom to kiss someone under mistletoe?" he asked, partially because he actually didn't know if it was still a custom, but mostly in case he had been reading things wrong.

Sam raised his eyebrow, "Last time I checked it was…why-?"

Sam was cut off by Bucky's soft dry lips on his own. Bucky's hands gripped Sam's arms loosely, holding him close as Sam deepened the kiss and moaned quietly into Bucky's mouth.

From the dock two children high fived, hidden behind some crates as their uncle and his friend finally kissed; their plan had worked.
