Yo! Got cataract surgery in my left eye on September first. Vision's a bit better but still crap due to tons of scarring at the back of my eye. It also takes a few weeks to months for vision to settle after the surgery. Got a cataract in my right eye though-started in July, which is why I disappeared again. No surgery to remove it yet, due to continuing inflammation, so vision's getting worse. Put my email in dark mode, used a dark skin on ao3, and used a colour revere setting on my laptop for ffn to be able to do this, since I can't see shit on white screens anymore, though light font on dark screens is okay for now. Thank you so much for the concern about my eyes. Hope everyone's been staying safe during the plague. And thank you to all readers so far!

When Monday came around again, most people in the castle were both a little curious and hesitant to see if this week was going to go as bad and strange as the previous week had. As it turned out, they were wrong. This week turned out to be worse. Although, some people had a hard time trying to decide whether it was worse in a bad way or a good one.

That morning, the newspaper came filled with reminders of the various crimes Dumbledore had committed over the years. There were quite a few of them too. More than anyone had really expected.

Of course, everyone had already heard about how Dumbledore had supposedly been ignoring cases of abuse, not to mention the whole necromancy thing where he was apparently trying to raise people from the dead. People really didn't think it could get any worse than that, but get worse it did.

Someone had somehow managed to learn the identities of a couple of the people Dumbledore was trying to resurrect, and had even found the proof to, well, prove it.

Silence reigned in the Great Hall as everyone stared at the front page of the Daily Prophet in disbelief. No one was angry, not yet, just confused. ...Well, there was one person in the hall who was angry.

"My parents!? Are you fucking kidding me!?"

Everyone stared in shock and disbelief as Harry Potter bolted out of the Great Hall furiously, the newspaper gripped tightly in his fist. Where he was going no one was really sure, but they had a feeling a couple of professors of theirs were about to be very angry very soon.

Sure enough, Harry was heading straight to Sirius first. Though he was furious himself, he wanted to make sure his godfather wasn't about to do something incredibly stupid that would land him in Azkaban again-forever, this time. After all, unlike him, Sirius had actually known Harry's parents.

Harry thought himself fortunate when he found Sirius still asleep in his private rooms, oblivious to the world, including the newspaper article detailing a horrible truth. Harry wished it could stay that way, but he knew that was pretty much impossible unless he drugged Sirius to keep him unconscious or something like that, which he really didn't want to do.

He sighed heavily. This was going to suck...

While Harry was delivering the bad news to his godfather, Marvolo, seated in his own rooms, was staring at the article on the Prophet's front page with a raised brow. What an interesting development.

Unlike Harry, Marvolo wasn't surprised by the article's information at all. He'd actually expected it. Or something like it, at least. One of Dumbledore's main goals was to keep Harry under his thumb, and bringing his parents back was certainly one way to do it. Or so he was probably thinking.

In reality, Marvolo couldn't imagine how anyone would be accepting of someone bringing someone else's parents back from the dead. The least he could do was ask for consent first!

It was a strange situation, Marvolo thought, and he wasn't going to bother asking the reporter how they had learned of any of this, though he somehow got the feeling Dobby had been involved. Dobby was always involved.

Now that the scheme had been brought to light, Marvolo couldn't say for sure whether Dumbledore was actually going to continue on with the dark ceremony or not. It was hard to tell with the old man.

He leaned back in his seat, bringing his coffee mug to his lips as he thought. Even if Dumbledore did continue and manage to bring back not only James and Lily Potter, but the Dursleys as well, getting rid of them again wasn't going to pose much of a problem. A bit of fire would be enough for that.

The real problem lay in Dumbledore himself. He had to be stopped. For good. Oh, the killing curse was all fine and well, but an instant death was too good for the old man. Marvolo wanted him to suffer, and he was sure there were many others who wanted the same. Harry included, though he didn't tend to admit it.

So now the question was how? How could they make Dumbledore suffer? What could they possible do to him other than granting him death, which they would, but only later on, to make him suffer? What would someone like Dumbledore consider suffering? Surely nothing a normal, sane person would. No, the old man was asinine, and that too was something they were going to have to keep in mind as they made their plans.

That's it for now. Looking forward to reviews! Laterz!
