Looking at the clearly tired looking old man, where her own reflection is supposed to be. Blinking a few times, Skye tries to process why this is the man in front of her and not the one she has been calling out for and the fact that this is the last face she would have expected to show up, Skye isn't sure what to even think about it all.
"Jenkins?"
She asks, surprised that her voice is working at all in this moment. Hearing his own name, the old man turns his attention towards her, and she can see how his eyes are growing big out of surprise. The exact same surprise she knows is within her own eyes.
"Skye?"
The question makes her smile slightly, she had no idea of how much she missed hearing that tired old British voice until this moment, and the surprise over hearing it again is gone.
"It's been far too long Jenkins."
She tells him, feeling how a calmness and happiness is taking over both her body and voice as she speaks, she can also feel how she is slowly starting to relax once more.
"Indeed, it has, Skye."
The older man answers with a nod of his head. Looking at him of a few more seconds, her smile starts to fall when she realises something. When something hits her that something is very wrong with this picture, and that it's not just the fact that Jenkins is the one that answered the call and not Flynn.
"Jenkins, what are you doing at the Library? I thought you liked the calm and quiet that is the Annex."
She asks and the grumpy look she reserves as a reply tells Skye that something has gone very wrong during the time she has been away.
"Jenkins, why is the Library connected to the Annex?"
She asks when she realises just what the problem is.
"We had some problems."
Jenkins's reply, making Skye roll her eyes. There were always problems, they could never get away from problems and the older man should know every well that we had some problems isn't a valid reply anymore.
"Let me guess, D.O.S.A?"
"No, Serpent Brotherhood. Why would you bring up D.O.S.A?"
"Because they are about to create problems for me."
She tells him, only to freeze up when she realises what Jenkins had told her and her blood runs cold at their oldest enemy's name.
"Did you just say Serpent Brotherhood?"
She asks, almost afraid to ask the question. Seeing how Jenkins nods his head as an answer, Skye wish she could lean back or sit down on something.
"Yes, they broke into the Library in search for King Arthur's crown and Cal. Charlene and Judson closed the Library, Mr Carsen managed to bring it back later. However, he decided to make the Annex the new connection point."
Jenkins explain and Skye can see how he rolls his eyes at this. Of course, the older man wouldn't he happy about that, he had moved out to the Annex out of two reasons, the second reason was the fact that he would be left alone to his work out there, having the Library now connected to it makes the working alone part harder. Especially when the Librarian is one Flynn Carsen.
"Why didn't anyone call for me when you realised what was going on?"
She asks, moving her hands away from the sink, only to crosser her arms as she looks at Jenkins with narrowed eyes.
"With the war between the Serpent Brotherhood, his new guardian and the other Librarians, I guess Mr Carsen simply forgot, you know how his brain works."
Jenkins explain, his attention turning back to what ever he had been reading when she had called him, missing how Skye let's her arms fall to her side, her eyes growing large in surprise at what she has just heard.
"Wow, wow, wow. Slow down a bit there Galeas, a Guardian and more Librarians?"
She asks, the moment she mention his old nickname, Jenkins looks up with narrowed eyes, something Skye had been hopping he would do when she said the older name. Calling him that or his real name is an obvious way to get his attention every time.
"Yes. Now, what is this talk about D.O.S.A?"
Jenkins asks, turning the attention away from him and towards herself once more. Rolling her eyes, Skye is tempted to return to the conversation they were just having but knows very well that nothing can change Jenkins's mind when he gets something into his head.
"You know what, we can take this conversation once I return back. I can't really have this conversation where I am at the moment so."
She tells him, the BUS might be safe from a lot of things but having this type of a conversation isn't the best in her current position. The things they have just been talking about were things they shouldn't have gone through either.
"You are returning back?"
Jenkins asks as he looks up at her again and she can see the surprise in his eyes.
"Well, I can say this much, the team I'm with right now will be meeting up with D.O.S.A and there is no way I will be here when we do, we both know they will try and arrest me the moment they realise who I am."
She tells him and she can see how Jenkins nods his head at this. Realising what she will have to do next, Skye starts to smile big.
"Fire up the back door Jenkins! I'm coming home!"
She tells him, missing the fact that she had just called the Library her home.
"Well, we have a bit of a problem there. I still haven't managed to figure out how to open a back door through a moving object yet."
Jenkins tells her, making Skye's smile drop.
"Well, there goes that plan."
She comments as she falls into deep thought about how to get away from this plane without anyone finding out, or if she should risk it and wait until they land. Realising that the later idea is a bad one for her and her secrets, she can't see any other way out of this.
"Then I guess I'll just have to find a door that's not moving. Because there is no way that I will try stay and try and get away once we land. D.O.S.A might be waiting for us when we land, and I can't take that risk."
She starts to explain, not sure if she is peaking to Jenkins or just talking to herself in this moment.
"Well then, looks like I will be jumping out of the plane when we are still in the air."
She announces and she can see the horror in Jenkins eyes at this news.
"Absolutely not! Even with a parachute, it will be extremely hard to navigate. Not to mention it's highly dangerous."
He tells her, the horror turning into worry and Skye smiles when she sees it.
"Well, it is a good thing I have something else that will work."
"NO!"
And the horror returns to his eyes once more when he realises what is on her mind.
"Your wings are not strong or large enough to handle something likeā¦"
He starts to say, only to grow silent, Skye didn't know his eyes could have grown larger than they are in this very moment.
"You were saying?"
She asks, smiling big in the progress. As the older man was trying to tell her, her idea was completely crazy, she had taken of her jacket. A pair of large grey wings spreads out behind her, or as much as they can in the small room.
