Chapter 36: Paraiso Mayhem, Part 4

This wasn't what Messiah imagined when Ambar mentioned bringing something 'fun' to her resort.

Truth be told, she had wanted to change things a lot in recent years, having received the kind of feedback that had raised some rightful concern regarding the 'double standard' running between guests and workers, with the former being limited to women while the latter accepting the presence of males. Sure, there was a qualification requirement and contracts to keep the men within the island from being too forward with the ladies… but Ambar had raised another point she couldn't just ignore: perhaps the women came here for the holidays expecting to be subjected to a 'forbidden' time here in Paraiso. No major restrictions, no hesitations, only… perversion to a moderate and yet uncouth degree.

The Red Panda Prime hadn't exactly expected this when she turned Paraiso in a resort but… she could see why so many women would see it that way. Considering how stressful and restricting life was in the cities, Paraiso was… a paradise with less rules compared to their normal days. So, by that logic, releasing all that frustration around through sexual means felt 'correct' on their part. And a source of eternal dilemmas for poor Messiah in the process. When Ambar came up with an idea to 'spice things up', she definitely didn't see this turning into some sort of twisted game where a couple of unfortunate males were targeted by the overwhelming majority formed by women within the resort and the nearby forests.

She might have had a strong moral sense that was firmly entrenched on her being sometimes too 'assuming' of guys' behavior, but she could tell that they weren't exactly told the full story behind this. Not when their attitude showed a common sense of unwillingness to be 'captured and seduced' as one would have imagined. They were on the run and… she could tell something drove them to avoid detection at all costs. Things were definitely spiraling out of control and… things got a tiny bit worse when she realized that, among the three men in there, one in particular stood out from the rest. And not just because this person was a human, but because… she knew him.

Declan Stone was a long-forgotten friend of hers, back from the times when she was very young, very naive, very hopeful and… very lonely. Messiah wouldn't go as far to say that he was really important to her childhood, but he sure proved to be someone she could rely on in some instances. Plus, there was something that she saw in him that made him also a reliable individual in some circumstances. So, to see him stuck in such circumstance… It left her confused. And interested to find answers to her many questions about it.

As she turned her gaze back to the Bear Prime, she could see Ambar's amusement shifting directly to the lone human. Not like she had no reason to- in fact, the presence of so many women running after this specific target was fairly unusual. Compared to the rest of the fugitives, the large part of the resort's guests was trying to find Declan, and… it was possibly tied to the fact he was a human. Now, there were little to no studies about the concept of Primes being interested more into Humans, but one thing was clear to many social scientists nowadays: people liked the rare and the exotic. If a Prime had a chance to bed a human, may them be male or female for both variables, then they would have a higher propensity to go for it. It was adventurous, brazen, and fairly tied to Paraiso's concept of pleasant unknown during the summertime.

Despite all of that, this situation couldn't stand and… she scoffed. The noise stopped her ancillas, and it drew a curious glance from Ambar.

"Hmm? Do you not like some of what we're seeing?"

That shouldn't even be a question to begin with. Her discomfort had already flared since this whole mess started. But Messiah entertained that concept, and struck without hesitation.

"When is the game stopping?"

It wasn't the previous 'Stop the game' or 'This is stupid, put an end to it', to which the Bear Prime would rebuke with silly delays and deflections. This time, her embarrassment and irritation were sharpened into a form of seriousness not even the High Prime could ignore. After all, a game is 'fun' when it keeps on giving but doesn't exceed its purpose. Entertainment. Beyond a few hours, this was easily becoming a messy chore to fix, a situation that was definitely going to cause some distress with the guests that weren't there to engage in these chases, and deal with the legal issue tied to having these men brought into the island without proper permits.

"Two hours," Ambar replied swiftly, almost stunning the Resort's owner with that genuine response. "Truth be told, it started to lose gold moments after Geecku got convinced by Declan. I guess I underestimated him."

And yet, that last sentence lacked the disappointment it would normally bear. To Messiah, it sounded more like Ambar was 'delighted' by the notion that the human had won over this kind of circumstance. It was far from ideal, but still enough to secure himself a comfy predicament born from many awkward ones. A Jenga tower ready to fall down the moment this game was over… and she could already see why Ambar was now interested in seeing her previous plan fail. Another one had already been created out of this one's downfall, and it sounded less risky and more kinky than anything she could have imagined.

Messiah could only grit her teeth at that new interest, hoping it didn't transcend into something she would come to regret. But for now, she had no reason to not stop this game for good. There was much to face before normal activities could be resumed in the resort, and even more when it came to make sure Ambar didn't do anything insanely stupid.

Of course, the Wisdom Crest could only giggle at those thoughts of her, confirming that something crazy was being cooked in her mind as they waited for the closure of this challenge.

Hope knew her window of opportunity had grown smaller due to the recent development.

Two hours. That's how long was left before her chance to get a quick taste of her ever-so elusive human and make sure it mattered. Mostly for him, to make her commitment clear rather than leave it so vague and too sexually packed. She sighed, her eyes narrowing as her capacity to follow had dimmed due to Geecku joining forces with that pesky and clever Declan… through quite the reward. What a naughty man and… it didn't solve the issue that now she had to avoid a T-Rex keeping guard over them. Shin was also there, but he looked as cute and clueless as usual.

Nothing wrong could come from him even as he spotted her. No, she had to wait for an opportunity to strike and… it sure came in the form of a family-related development. Joy had a… little run-in with a certain Chaos user they domesticated a while ago. Ayah wasn't exactly as trustworthy as Drake was, but she had broken off from the main course of Chaos to live into the purest form of it: disruption, teasing, sex, and lots of kinky stuff that Hope wouldn't mind list out if not bound by time to act quickly.

It would seem that Drake did something silly. He tried to prank Ayah and… Joy as they both were busy with some massage. Nothing lewd, but Hope saw her sister laying on that table mostly nude. And that was too good of a situation for the Fennec Fox to ignore. But as he prepared to go through with it, he was stopped by Ayah tensing up and turning right to face him with a devious look. One thing Drake had forgotten was that someone as attuned with Chaos as Ayah could perceive fellow Narakhans nearby and… the result was fairly delicious. Poor Joy was caught in the crossfire, her body pressing onto Drake's as tentacles started to play with them both. Ayah's cackling could be heard from afar and presented quite an issue.

An issue that the group knew could only be solved by Geecku herself. Being the Life Crest, the Gecko Prime had a chance to intervene and make the difference against anything Chaos-based. Her magic gave her the edge in that circumstance. Also, they had to employ the rest of the group to make sure that the 'victims' were taken away from the sorceress' reach. Easier said than done, it still left some of their members exposed for a quick ambush.

And Hope struck.

She had done some training with vines in the past and knew how to use them to move around. She was no She-Tarzan, but could handle a few swings to get away from everyone else and get something done out of this chance. The human didn't even notice he had been taken off the ground until it was too late. The swing pushed them both upward, and towards some trees' branches, but Hope was already making that next jump and using the momentum to carry them both even further with the next vine-swing. A few minutes later and a comfy landing that then became an awkward fall on the ground for Declan saw him stuck in quite the hard but soft pillows of a certain Gazelle Prime.

"H-Ho-Mhp?!"

It wasn't her lips that muffled his attempt, rather her palm. No, her lips were going elsewhere. He tensed up, uneasy, but he didn't push her away as he felt her kiss between his neck and chin. He twitched at the feeling, at the sensation of her delivering a loving, sensual, but not outright lewd moment. Her mouth left that side quite quickly as she had much to say.

"I'm not planning to do anything you don't want Declan… but I want to talk."

The human spared her a confused look, muttering something but only muffled noises leaving his mouth since her hand was still pressing on it. A sheepish look appeared on the girl's face, but she didn't outright move her palm away. Not without a guarantee.

"No screaming, I'm not trying to do anything funny but… not gonna lie, you really look pretty handsome like this."

From the way he narrowed his eyes, she had the distinct feeling he wasn't that happy about what he just heard. Not like she expected anything else but… that really put a bit of a worry in her mind about how things were going to turn out for her. Still, she let him be once he nodded and… he didn't scream. Now, that was progress-

"That was stupid."

And… that wasn't progress.

"Look, I know. It wasn't exactly nice, but I really need to talk with you in private."

"And pulling me away from the others like that is the best way to do that?" He asked and Hope huffed.

"Considering the situation? Definitely better than taking chances and being lynched by your little fan club," The girl rebuked. "Still, I'm not lying. I want to discuss this situation, what we can do about it and-"

"What? 'What can we do about it'?" Declan interrupted, his eyes narrowing at her once more. "What are you talking about?"

She sighed, gaze turning away as she knew she had to be blunt, fierce and direct.

"I… I kind of like you. And Mora. I like you both. And… I would like to… give it a try?"

He gave her a long look, as if she had grown a second head as she said that.

"What?"

"I-It's not about getting your pants. Not anymore. I kind of want… more than that. A commitment."

"...What?"

"I want to date you both." It wasn't working. Or, at least, not as intended. "I want to… I would like to give it a go in a real relationship."

Something snapped out as she said that. From deep within her and… she was once more speaking.

"I have had some trouble finding a stable point to feel happy with myself. My achievements feel minor, weak, insignificant and… I do like you. I like you, Mora- what you have, and how nice you both are with… me."

He sighed. "I suppose we could talk more about it. With Mora."

A nod. This was a win. A small win, but still a win. She carefully stood up from him, and helped him up from the grassy ground.

"T-Thank you."

No response to that, the Human went mostly quiet as the main focus was now to get back to the others. Hope had kept a clear grasp of where they were, so she had an easy time to track back the location where the 'kidnapping' had unfolded. The trip was filled by silence from both, each having much to think about due to that conversation.

As they returned, they noticed that the group had accomplished their task. Ayah had been subdued, and Joy and Drake had been freed. But there was also something else that Hope spotted as they approached back to them, and it was someone that she had almost forgotten about. Someone important that had locked glance right at her before sparing a brief concerned look to her boyfriend.

...Is that Mora? And why does she look so… upset?

...Actually, why is she marching towards me?

It was clear that the Cow Prime was misunderstanding the situation a tiny bit, but as she looked ready to deliver a piece of her mind, her march stopped the very moment Declan advanced forward and stopped her with a hug. Mora paused, then returned the hug and… exchanged a few whispers with Declan. Hope felt tense at that display, especially when Mora's gaze was once more aimed at her… but softer and somewhat intrigued.

She finally relaxed herself, resuming her breathing after what had felt like an eternity.

There was indeed some 'hope' for her situation after all… but this was only the first day of Paraiso.
