Seeing how Skye heads out from the room and how Eve decides to follow after her, Flynn, with the help of Ezekiel, managed to get up on his feet once more. Turning his attention towards Jenkins, he sees the old man shrug as he returns to his book.
This was his mess and he would have to clean it up himself. Nodding his head as a thank you to Ezekiel, he heads into the main part of the Library. Eyes scanning his surroundings as he runs down the corridors, looking for Eve. He already know that it's no use trying to locate Skye after all.
Finding his Guardian, Flynn slows down only to realise something is off. Eve is standing completely frozen in front one of the many doors in the building.
"Eve?"
He asks carefully, taking a careful step forwards, not knowing what to expect.
"Stand back Flynn, something is wrong with Cal."
Eve informs him, making Flynn stop walking. Leaning slightly to the right, he sees the magic sword, pointing itself towards Eve. Surprised over his action, Flynn turns his attention towards the door, taking a proper look at it, he realises what is going on.
"Nothing is wrong with Cal, but I would recommend you step back. Cal is just doing his job, protecting one of our own."
Flynn explains and he can see how Cal moves, looking almost like the magic sword is nodding his head. Hearing what he is saying, Eve turns to look at him with narrowed eyes.
"One of our own?"
She asks and Flynn nods his head, taking in a deep breath in the process.
"Let's head back to the others and I'll tell you all about her. Or at least the things I do know."
Flynn explains, nodding his head back the way he came. He can see that Eve is feeling divided but finally gives in. Giving Cal one last look, Flynn turns and heads back the way he came, Eve joining him.
"Did you get her?"
Jake asks the moment he and Eve enters their work place and Flynn shakes his head.
"And its no use to head out there and look, the Library is hiding and protecting her as of right now."
Flynn explains as he starts to look around his desk for a very special book.
"The Library is hiding and protecting her?"
"Cal have already figured out she has returned then I presume."
Ezekiel asks only for Jenkins to state the obvious, making Flynn nod his head.
"Cal even put Eve on a swords point."
Flynn adds as he opens a drawer to see of the book is in that one.
"Okay, what is going on here? Some explanations would be good right about now. Who is that thing?"
Jake asks, his question makes Flynn stop his search and look up, eyes narrowed. He is about to open his mouth to speak, and he can see Jenkins is about to do the same when someone else beats them to it.
Cassandra, who have been standing right beside Jake, turns around and hit him as hard as she can on his upper arm. The sudden hit, makes Jake cover the spot where Cassandra hit him, turning his head in the progress to look at her with large eyes.
"Hey, what was that for?"
He asks, which makes Cassandra narrow her eyes and cross her arms as she looks at him.
"I can't believe you! That thing as you call it is a human girl and from the look of it, we scared her. And if the Library and Cal is protecting her she's a good person. Right?"
Cassandra says, turning her head towards Jenkins who nods his head. Turning his own attention towards Jenkins, Flynn realises that there is someone in the Library that can tell her story better than he can.
"Do you want me to tell them sir?"
Jenkins asks before Flynn have made up is mind on how to ask, so he nods his head, turning back to look for the book anyway.
"Her name is Skye, she was found by a former Librarian when she was just a kid. She had been put through a horrible transformation that changed her, giving her wings you saw. The Librarian and the Guardian at that time decided to take her in, just to see if they can figure out what happened to her. She ended up staying because Charlene and Judson refuse to drop her out there."
Jenkins starts to explain and Flynn finally finds the book. Moving over to the large table, he place the book down on top of it, already open to show a picture of Judson, Charlene and a young smiling girl. Eve, Cassandra, Jake and Ezekiel steps forwards to take a look.
"Through out the years, they learned that her wings grows in a different way, the more she is loved, by others and herself, the larger and stronger her wings becomes. The size we saw when she landed, that is the biggest they have ever been."
Jenkins continues as Flynn start to flip through the pages, quickly jumping over the pictures that contained a younger Skye and Nicole.
"As she grow older, she wanted to see the world, all the grand things the Librarian and Guardian talked about when they returned back and at one point, Judson and Charlene gave in. I don't know what happened, I think only Skye knows and she refuse to talk about it up until today..."
Jenkins says and Flynn can see how he turns his attention towards Eve, knowing what he is about to say.
"I would however recommend you not to mention that you used to work for D.O.S.A."
He tells her in a serious voice. Looking at his partner, Flynn tries to figure out what is going through her mind in this very moment.
"She has a problem with D.O.S.A?"
She asks and Jenkins shakes his head.
"D.O.S.A has a problem with her."
He corrects her.
"D.O.S.A is the reason why she has returned I presume?"
Flynn asks, knowing that he should put an end to a fight that has yet started.
"Yes, but there is more to it all than just that. I would recommend to leave her alone for a while. By now Judson and Charlene will have found her and try to talk to her."
Jenkins add, putting an end to the conversation. Turning his attention to the book and the picture of him, held at a swords point by Cal in Skye's hand, he smiles. He still remembers the day Skye decided to leave the Library, it was the same day Judson decided it was his time.
He knows however that she made sure to keep in contact with Charlene throughout the time, but with everything that has happened since then, well, he can't blame her for being angry with him. Even if she knows how spaced out he can be.
"So, what do we do now?"
Jake asks as Flynn closes the book, turning his head to look at the larger book that is still showing an empty page, he let's out a sigh.
"We can try and figure out what the clip book wants to tell us. Something tells me it has something to do with Skye at least."
Flynn tells them, it's a long shot but at least they will be kept occupied until Skye was ready to speak to them.
